Bob is a retired Partner of Booz & Company in New York. Booz & Company is a billion dollar management consulting firm with over 70 offices worldwide. Prior to Booz & Company Bob was a partner with the Management consulting firm of A.T. Kearney in New York.

Bob has over 20 years of experience in management consulting. Most of his work has been with clients in the Life Sciences industry. His clients also included a number of major pharmaceutical companies as well as a range of medical device and supply companies.

Bob also worked extensively with Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta to redesign the supply chain and financial processes for the agency’s $4 billion Vaccine For Children (VFC) program. Additionally, Bob worked with the President’s Emergency Program For Aids Relief (PEPFAR) as well as with the Global Fund.

Bob’s work with his clients addressed a range of topics including defining corporate strategies, developing market entry and launch strategies as well as working with these clients to improve the overall effectiveness of their organizations and operations. Bob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Ross School of Business at The University of Michigan and he holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Larry Schlesinger

Texas Biomedical Research Institute

Dr. Schlesinger has led the Texas Biomedical Research Institute (Texas Biomed) in San Antonio,

Texas, since 2017. Under Dr. Schlesinger’s leadership Texas Biomed has grown from 360 to 420

professionals and funding has more than tripled to nearly $100+ million a year in multi-year

research grants and government and industry contracts. An internationally recognized authority

in infectious diseases, Dr. Schlesinger has authored more than 230 peer-reviewed articles and

reviews and served on the faculty of the University of Iowa and The Ohio State University

among others. Since his arrival at Texas Biomed, the Institute has invested over $200M in

campus improvements, faculty and staff recruitment and new programs.

Camillia Mckinney

CEO

San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital

Camillia McKinney is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of San Antonio Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (SABH) where she leads with a blend of clinical expertise and strategic vision. SABH is a 198-bed psychiatric hospital and largest in the Signature Healthcare System. Previously she was Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the largest free-standing psychiatric hospital in Texas and 2nd largest in the United States. Her background as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration, brings a distinct and innovative perspective to healthcare leadership not only at SABH but within the Greater San Antonio area during the last 15+ years. Her passion for improving mental health care and her commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate services make her a respected leader in the field. Under her guidance, the hospital continues to enhance its mission of supporting the holistic mental well-being of the San Antonio community and setting the standard for trauma-informed behavioral healthcare.

Heather Hanson

President

Heather Hanson is a proven, successful senior-level executive,

known for improving organizational performance and

shareholder value through planning, analysis, problem-

solving, program development and servant leadership. She leverages

her extensive experience in multiple aspects of the medical

device industry to serve the members of BioMedSA and the

San Antonio biomedical industry at large.

Ms. Hanson has worked at the ground level and managed

others to accomplish all aspects of

medical device development, including: research, design,

quality, regulatory, manufacturing,

field service, clinical trials and supply chain. As an engineer,

she has designed products and

equipment resulting in 24 U.S. patents for a variety of medical technologies. As an executive, she has led companies to improve their operational performance, establish efficient processes, raise capital, while motivating peers and employees to achieve positive results. Ms. Hanson has

also founded a successful consulting company, Corvax Solutions, to assist companies and

entrepreneurs in the development of medical devices. Additionally, she has worked directly for

Southwest Research Institute, Motorola and Seno Medical, and worked with a multitude of

medical device companies and research institutions as a consultant.

Ms. Hanson holds a BSE in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and a MS in

Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. She and her family have called

San Antonio home for over 20 years.

Omar Cantu

Architect and Healthcare Design Leader

Perkins&Will

Omar Cantu is an architect and healthcare design leader based in San Antonio, Texas. As a long-serving member of Perkins&Will’s healthcare team, he brings comprehensive experience across all phases of design, from conceptual planning through contract administration. He specializes in large, complex hospital projects, partnering with clients and stakeholders to deliver environments that support both operational efficiency and patient healing. Omar has worked with community hospitals and for-profit clients across Texas, California, Utah, Kansas, Virginia, Georgia, and Florida, and has experience in collaborative IPD-style teams, prefabrication strategies, and navigating code requirements and approvals with authorities having jurisdiction.

Since beginning his career at Perkins&Will in 2006, Omar has advanced to his current role as Senior Project Manager and Associate Principal. He is actively involved in strategic planning and studio operations for the San Antonio studio, established in 2024. He is known for fostering strong relationships, a user-centered design approach, and delivering thoughtful, high-performing results.

Kurt Lindorfer

Kurt’s professional engineering career spans over 40 years. His expertise includes structural engineering design for Mission Critical Facilities such as Data Centers, Health Care Facilities such as Hospitals and Clinics and Life Sciences Facilities such as Biopharmaceutical Pilot Plants and Production Facilities around the United States and the World. His area of expertise is in designing buildings to be occupable after natural disasters including Tornados, Hurricanes and Earthquakes. He has been the structural engineer of record for conventional “fixed Base Buildings” ranging from 1-23 stories, “Base Isolated Buildings” ranging from 1-5 stories, and the retrofit and new construction of buildings incorporating Fluid Viscous Dampers ranging from 1-22 stories. He has published numerous papers on passive energy dissipation and presented the findings at various conventions in Boston, San Francisco and Milan.

For over 23 years as the Founding Principal at PARADIGM Structural Engineers, Kurt spends most of his time developing new leaders at PARADIGM and mentoring staff in Chicago and San Francisco.
