Christopher Rising is the CEO of Rising Realty Partners (RRP), a Los Angeles-based real estate investment and operating platform that owns and manages over five million square feet of properties. He serves on the company's Executive and Investment Committees, drawing on his extensive experience in managing acquisitions and creative development. Prior to joining RRP, Christopher was Senior Vice President of Asset Transactions at MPG Office Trust, where he worked directly with the CEO to improve finances through debt reduction and restructuring.

Under Christopher's visionary leadership, RRP has spearheaded the revitalization of historic buildings in Downtown Los Angeles into creative office spaces, attracting unique businesses back to the region. The company's transformation and subsequent sale of the PacMutual Campus, one of the oldest office buildings in the heart of DTLA, was described by the Los Angeles Times as a "record price for a pure office building downtown." More recently, RRP has generated great success by entering the industrial space, acquiring five multi-tenant light industrial properties in the past year. Christopher's success in the real estate industry has earned him recognition by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the 500 most influential people in Los Angeles.

In 2003, Christopher founded The Rising Real Estate Group (RREG) and eventually partnered with Barker Pacific Group to create Hamilton Capital Partners (HCP), an equity fund vehicle. RREG is also a principal in 626 Wilshire Blvd, a 156K square foot office building located in downtown Los Angeles.

Christopher began his career as an associate at Pillsbury Madison & Sutro and later worked at Cushman Realty Corporation (CRC) under brokerage legend John C. Cushman, III. He then served as a Director at Cushman & Wakefield of California, Inc. (C&W), joining C&W after its merger with CRC in 2001.

Outside of work, Christopher is an active member of the Los Angeles community, serving on the River LA Board and The Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation. He formerly sat on the Board of Overseers at Loyola Law School and the Duke Athletic Advisory Board. He is a past President of the Board of Chandler School in Pasadena and served for ten years on the Board of Regents of Loyola High School, where he chaired the Investment Committee. Christopher holds a J.D. in Real Estate Law from Loyola Law School and a B.A. in History and Political Science from Duke University. He also attended Duke on a football scholarship and was a member of the 1989 ACC Championship team.

Constance Freedman is the Founder and Managing Partner of Moderne Ventures and the Moderne Passport, an early stage investment fund and industry immersion program which is focused on investing in technology companies in and around the multi-trillion dollar industries of real estate, mortgage, finance, insurance and home services. Constance has invested in more than 70 companies and actively partners with 700+ industry executives and corporations to help build strategic value and scale. She is active on several company boards, past and present, including DocuSign [NASDAQ: DOCU], Updater [ASX:UPD], Homesnap, UrbanBound and TaskEasy and Equity Lifestyles [NYSE:ELS].

Prior to launching Moderne Ventures, Constance was the head of Strategic Investments at the National Association of Realtors where she launched and managed its venture fund, Second Century Ventures (SCV) in 2008, and founded its accelerator program, REach, in 2013. Prior to joining SCV, Constance was an investor with Cue Ball, an early and growth stage investment fund focused on the information services and consumer sectors. Constance began her career spending 7 years in an operating capacity at technology start-ups Molecular (backed by CMGI, acquired by Isobar) and Account4.com (acquired by Lawson). Constance was a practicing real estate agent for three years prior to starting her career in technology and investing.

Constance has been the recipient of several prestigious awards including HousingWire’s Women of Influence, Crain’s Business 40 under 40 and has appeared multiple times on Crain’s Chicago Top Tech 50, Swanopoel’s Power 200 and Inman’s Top 101 in Real Estate. Constance is frequently an invited speaker at nationally renowned venture industry, real estate and fintech conferences.

Constance has served on the Advisory Board for the National Venture Capital Association’s Corporate Venturing Group from 2010-2013 and is on the board of overseers for the non-profit, From the Top. She is also an active Mentor for startups at TechStars and other accelerator groups.

Constance earned a BS from Boston University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

As part of the Investment & Innovation global hub, Jonathan Pearce counsels Ivanhoé Cambridge regional teams on all

leasing and development activities to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Jonathan has 30 years

of experience in office & industrial leasing and the sale of corporate investment assets throughout North America.

His responsibilities also include leasing for all owned (managed and non-managed) properties and developments in

Canada and the Continental US, currently comprising more than 120 million square feet in multiple markets. Ivanhoé

Cambridge currently has four office developments under construction or pre-development in Austin, Denver, Toronto and

Mexico City, and a variety of industrial projects under development North America. Jonathan also serves on the board

of IDI Logistics, a leading US logistics investor and developer based in Atlanta, that is co-owned by Ivanhoé Cambridge.

Jonathan holds a BSc. (Hons) in Urban Land Economics and is a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of

Chartered Surveyors.

Ben is head of the West Coast regional office, primary responsibilities include development and implementation of investment strategy, oversight and coordination of the West Coast investment activities. Responsible for joint venture structuring and the origination of new investment opportunities for the firm’s West Coast regional office.

Judah started with Brookfield in 2012, working for Brookfield Property Group’s Investments team where he worked on M&A and strategic initiatives for Brookfield’s global real estate division. In 2018, Judah transitioned to a role at Brookfield Ventures which seeks to invest in technology-enabled businesses synergistic with Brookfield’s real asset footprint across Property, Infrastructure, Renewables, and Private Equity.

Prior to joining Brookfield, Judah worked in Citigroup’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group advising companies on M&A and capital activity. Judah received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School.

A Sacramento native, Sara ventured to New York University where she graduated with a BA in Urban Planning. Sara is a Midtown enthusiast and Principal at D&S Development, one of the leading owners, developers and operators in mixed-use and historic rehabilitation in the greater Sacramento Area. She has experience in acquisition, development, leasing and property management of over 110,000 square feet of commercial retail and 265+ multi-family units. With a focus in Sacramento's urban corridor, Sara assists on research and site development for future opportunities in market rate housing.

The Hodgson Company is a Sacramento based real estate development, land use and government advocacy firm which specializes in the entitlement and development of real estate and land use projects throughout Northern California. The Hodgson Company has been involved in some of the area’s most innovative residential and commercial developments, including master planned communities, infill development and mixed-use projects. More recently their focus has been on revitalization and mixed used development in the urban centers of the region.

John Hodgson is active in both civic and volunteer organizations. He is a Full Member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and past Chair of the ULI Sacramento District Council. He was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson and served six years as the Chair of the Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA). In his capacity as CADA chair he is credited with contributing to the revitalization of midtown Sacramento.

John currently serves as a Board member of the Downtown Sacramento Partnership and serves on its Governance Committee. He also serves on the Board and Executive Committee of the Midtown Association. He served several terms as Chair of the Sacramento Council of the North State Building Industry Association and currently serves as Chair of its Urban Infill Group focused on Sacramento downtown and midtown mixed-use development. John is a member of the State Bar of California. He is a graduate of UC Davis and King Hall (UC Davis School of Law).

Assistant City Manager Michael Jasso joined the City on April 25, 2018. His most recent

adventure was in Chicago, serving as Chief for the Bureau of Economic Development of

Cook County, IL (Cook County is the second most populous county in the United

States.) There he oversaw three County departments along with a cross‐cutting office of

economic development.

Among other successes, he led the creation and implementation of Cook County's

strategic economic development plan.

Michael has also served as Managing Deputy Commissioner for Chicago’s Department

of Housing and Economic Development, specifically overseeing the Bureau of

Economic Development, Chief Development Officer for the Chicago Housing Authority

helping to manage the third largest public housing authority in the nation and led the

Tax Increment Finance Program on behalf of the Mayor for the District of Columbia

Government.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Princeton University, and a Master’s

Degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin.

Michael Jasso is a native Chicagoan, he was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Yemen from

1987-1989

Last but not least partnered with dogs named Dexter and Arlo.

Daniel Gehman attended Cornell University in upstate New York before relocating to California. Daniel has been involved in the industry since 1986 and brings specialized expertise in architectural design to the Ware Malcomb team. As Director, Multifamily, he is responsible for the growth of the multifamily practice, focusing on business development, client service, and project execution. Daniel's background includes a variety of multifamily project types, with 25 years of specialization in Southern California and current projects in the Central Valley and Arizona. He currently teaches a class in the Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program at the University of Southern California as an adjunct professor and is active in many industry associations.

Abbie Wertheim is a Senior Development Manager at Panattoni Development Company with a focus on industrial development across Northern California. Most recently, she was an industrial real estate broker at JLL in Sacramento. Her current work draws on a career in land use economics, public policy and economic development. She hails from Texas, so you may hear the twang come out, but with 18 years in Northern California she is definitely home.

In his role as Chief Investment Officer, Randy oversees Fulcrum Property’s principal revenue generating activities including new development opportunities, leasing, sales, marketing, and communications. Randy’s primary focus is to further the development of The Bridge District that fronts the River in West Sacramento.

Randy brings over 30 years of experience in all aspects of real estate including development, asset management, acquisition, operations, and finance. In his most recent role as Senior Vice President of Real Estate Development for the NBA’s Sacramento Kings, Randy led the effort for ownership on all the Kings’ real estate holdings with primary focus on the development of the new mixed-use Downtown Commons (DOCO) adjacent to Golden 1 Center.

Prior to joining the Kings, Randy spearheaded the acquisition Pronghorn Club and Resort, a 640-acre luxury golf resort community in Bend, Oregon and served as President of the Company.

From 2000-2011, Randy worked as an Executive Director for the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds where he was actively involved in the oversight of the fund’s investments in the Western United States, Hawaii, and Mexico. With over $3 billion dollars of real estate assets under his supervision, his primary focus was in master planned communities, resorts, land/commercial development, and oversight of large operating companies.

Prior to working for Morgan Stanley, Mr. Koss spent eleven years in the retail business with The Macerich Company working in various capacities in development, asset management, property management, and finance.

Randy is a graduate of UCLA in Economics/Business and earned his MBA at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Chris joined CREtelligent with over 20 years of experience leading B2B enterprise

sales, channel partner management, and business development. His experience

and knowledge span globally, having formerly worked for CoreLogic in Australia, as

their Director of Banking & Financial Services. Chris brings acute insights into the

financial services industry, with a passion for developing and implementing

innovative due diligence solutions, which will propel CREtelligent (formerly

eScreenLogic) into a new realm of workflow solutions for the Commercial Real

Estate Industry. Chris possesses a keen sense of how to build and scale highly

effective teams with an eye for developing and implementing innovative solutions.

A Senior Regional Property Manager at Phillips Edison and Company, I have been with Phillips Edison and Company for 8 years and manage roughly 2 million square feet of grocery anchored retail shopping centers throughout the West coast. I have been in the CRE industry for over 15 years working for developers and landlords with portfolio that has included industrial, retail and office use. I am CREW Sacramento President Elect in addition to serving as an executive board member of the Antelope PBID, and the advisory committee for my company’s internal board PECO NOW.
