Tim Skender is a native of the Triangle region and has lived in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Communication Studies. In 2013, he earned his Master's in Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. With over 15 years of experience in real estate finance and investment, Tim has spent the last decade focusing on the acquisition, management, development, and redevelopment of office and life science properties for multiple institutional investors. Recently, he spent three years establishing and leading the Triangle operations for one of the leading life science real estate owners and operators in the country. Tim has worked on over $5 billion in executed acquisitions/dispositions and 2.5 million square feet of executed leases.

Sigma Mostafa is a highly experienced biopharmaceutical executive with a track record of driving growth and market expansion, building high performance organizations, and transforming organizational culture. She has extensive technical and management expertise in cell line and process development, tech transfer, validation, and clinical and commercial manufacturing. She has a strong focus on Operational Excellence, Quality Culture, and Talent Development.  

Sigma is currently the Chief Scientific & Technology Officer at KBI Biopharma. She was previously KBI's Senior Vice President and Site Head for its largest site and led the site through unparalleled growth and also through a successful Pre-licensure Inspection. She has a 13-year tenure at the company, building KBI's North Carolina mammalian process and analytical development departments from a 5-program-per-year to a 50-program-per-year organization and recruiting and mentoring a best-in-class team of scientists. In supporting the accelerated growth of KBI, Sigma led the development of a world-class high throughput CDMO infrastructure and platform which incorporated advanced automation for end-to-end process tracking and quality control. As KBI's Chief Scientific & Technology Officer, she leverages her rich technical expertise in analytics, cell line development, and process development to lead KBI's innovation globally. She oversees Analytical Services, Process Development, and Cell Line Development

Sigma started her career at Eli Lilly & Co. During her 7-year tenure, she led a Cell Culture Process Development team and the Pilot Plant. In addition, as the Core Team Leader, Sigma led the entire CMC team: from candidate selection through IND submission. Sigma spent 3 years as Manager of Cell Culture Process Development at Organon /Diosynth Biotechnology (currently FujiFilm Diosynth), which was part of Merck at the time. In this role, she led process development, tech transfer, and post-commercialization optimization for mammalian and insect cell cultures.

Sigma earned her Ph.D. in Chemical & Biological Engineering from Northwestern University and her Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin with High Honors.

Michael Morgan serves as a Managing Director for JLL’s tenant representation
services in Raleigh, North Carolina. The breadth of his experience includes a diverse
set of clients that extends across many types of users.
Experience
Michael has been active in the Raleigh-Durham commercial real estate market since
1996, establishing himself as a trusted advisor to occupiers throughout the region.
Over the last 35 years, he has developed an extensive and noteworthy client base,
having completed numerous projects in excess of 100,000 square feet for office, life
science lab and cGMP, manufacturing, and industrial users.
Prior to relocating to the Raleigh-Durham region with his family, Michael spent 11
years serving commercial real estate clients in the New York Metropolitan area,
closing several million square feet of transactions in one of the nation’s most
competitive and sophisticated markets.

Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Stevens Institute of
Technology in Hoboken, N.J. and is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina.
He is an active member of the Triangle Area Office Building Association (TRAOBA)
and served as a Board member from 2008-2010. Michael is a member of NC Biotech
Life Sciences, the JLL Life Science Practice Group, and the JLL Law Firm Practice
Group.

Sahil Rai is a Director at MyController, an outsourced accounting and finance firm serving real estate owners, operators, developers, and investment-backed businesses. He works with leadership teams to strengthen financial reporting, streamline accounting operations, and build finance functions that support growth.
His experience spans self-storage, multifamily, office, and construction, with expertise in portfolio reporting, cash management, accounting systems implementations, and audit readiness. Having served as a Controller and SEC Reporting Director, Sahil brings both technical accounting expertise and a practical understanding of the financial and operational challenges facing real estate businesses.
Based in Raleigh, Sahil is a Certified Public Accountant and earned both his undergraduate degree in accounting and master’s degree in accounting from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.

Tyler Grimshaw is a Principal at EwingCole focused on helping life science organizations grow through the thoughtful planning and design of modern research and manufacturing environments. Since joining the firm in 2017, he has contributed to a diverse range of projects for institutional and commercial life science clients. Known for his collaborative approach, Tyler guides teams from early vision and planning through design and execution. His design philosophy emphasizes flexibility and adaptability, creating facilities that can respond to evolving science, technology, and business needs while advancing client goals, supporting users, and enabling the next wave of innovation.

Carolyn Coia is the Vice President of Real Estate for the Research Triangle Foundation of North Carolina, the managing entity of Research Triangle Park. Since joining the Foundation in 2016, Carolyn has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s real estate development initiatives, overseeing the pro forma, design, and delivery of over 750K SF of office, laboratory and retail space.

Her work has included project management and tenant coordination for high-impact developments such as Boxyard RTP, an award-winning cargotecture destination, as well as leading major development RFPs across construction and master planning. Carolyn also leads the ongoing execution of the Foundation’s mixed-use master planned downtown, Hub RTP, across 100 acres representing up to 6M SF of future development potential.

With a strong foundation in analysis, due diligence, and strategic implementation, Carolyn has helped reposition the Foundation’s real estate to drive long-term value and operational sustainability.

Before joining the Foundation, Carolyn worked in private equity-backed companies, where she gained deep experience in financial modeling. She holds a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Carolyn serves on the Board of Directors for CoreNet Carolinas and for the Research Triangle High School, a top performing charter school in the Triangle.
