Dr. Morgan R. Olsen is Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer at Arizona State University. He serves as Arizona State University’s chief business and financial officer, and holds an appointment as Professor of Practice in the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education.

Dr. Olsen’s responsibilities at the University include overseeing treasury and financial functions, capital projects, real estate, facilities operations, human resources, police, environmental health and safety, information technology and business and auxiliary services at the University’s five campuses.

Dr. Olsen serves on the board of directors of the United Educators insurance company, and is a past chair of the board of directors for the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). He is a past president of the Central Association of College and University Business Officers (CACUBO). Dr. Olsen also holds memberships in EDUCAUSE, the Association for the Study of Higher Education, and the Society for College and University Planning.

Dr. Olsen came to Arizona State University in November 2008 from Purdue University, where he served as Executive Vice President and Treasurer. Dr. Olsen previously served at Southern Methodist University as Vice President for Business and Finance, Eastern Illinois University as Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer and Associate Professor in the college student personnel program, and as Vice President for Fiscal Affairs at Emporia State University in Kansas.

Dr. Olsen earned a bachelor's degree, summa cum laude, and a master's degree in public administration from the University of North Dakota, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Olsen earned his Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Kansas. He served as acting Executive Budget Analyst for the North Dakota Office of Management and Budget before entering university administration in 1985.

Gary has over 20 years of finance, investment management, marketing, business operations, and consulting experience. At ViaWest, Gary leads the capital markets function and oversees the firm’s entry into new geographic and property-type markets. He previously managed the company's multi-family activities, overseeing the acquisition, conversion, and disposition of over 2,000 apartment units to condominiums for a national multifamily/condominium client. He earned his BA in Economics from Northwestern University, spending his Junior Year at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan. After working in marketing and sales strategy in Tokyo, Japan with Bridgestone Corporation, he returned to the US to earn his MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. Gary is fluent in Japanese and proficient in Spanish. Gary has been an active member with Urban Land Institute (ULI), currently serving as Vice-Chair of the Arizona District Council and

Chair of Small Scale Development Council – Gold (SSDC). He is also a member of the Arizona Chapter of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) He resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Julie and two sons, Zachary and Matthew.

Shelby graduated with a Master’s in Architecture from the ASU Design School in 2014. Here, she

was introduced to a research-based approach to design, studying how behavioral and

sociological drivers affect the way we interact with and experience architecture. While there,

Shelby and a team of 16 students, researched designed and developed an award-winning

workforce housing and behavioral health project for Native American Connections. Construction

on the project completed in 2016 in downtown Phoenix.

For the last four years Shelby has been working as a research marketer at DPR Construction

where she is again leveraging her interest in research and the built environment. The flexibility

that DPR’s Ever-Forward culture affords its employees has given Shelby the freedom to explore

how our unique urban setting intersects with construction and research. As one of DPR Arizona’s

strongest markets, Advanced Technology and facilitating those clients’ successes is a key area of

focus and expertise.

Thomas Maynard, the GPEC Senior Vice President of Business Development, has been with the Greater Phoenix Economic Council since August 2013. Thomas co-manages the Business Development team and oversees GPEC’s international business attraction efforts. Over the years, Thomas has worked with hundreds of companies evaluating Greater Phoenix, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to startups.

Thomas is currently serving as an Honorary Commander, a unique program that pairs community members with leaders from Luke AFB. He also serves on NAIOP’s Developing Leader Steering Committee.

Thomas was named to the 2020 list of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers and was recognized a 40 under 40 Economic Developers Class of 2021. Thomas is an Arizona native, grew up in Tucson and graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in journalism with a focus in public relations. He lives in Phoenix with his wife Mo and French Bulldog, Hugo.

Mr. Anderson serves as a managing director and city leader responsible for new commercial and residential business opportunities that include new development, acquisition, management, and disposition within the Southwest Region of the United States. Anderson's responsibilities include business strategy, master planning, deal-structuring, contract negotiations, government relations and tenant relations.

Anderson holds a BS in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate from Arizona State University and master's degrees in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver.

Adrian has been working in commercial real estate for over twenty years and has been involved in the acquisition, disposition, brokerage and development of over five million square feet of commercial property with a total value of over a billion dollars. Recently Mr. Evarkiou opened the first office for the Boyer Company outside the state of Utah. In Adrian's career he has worked for both regional and national commercial real estate companies and has been involved in various capacities on the development of over fifty successful projects. Adrian has been involved in the development of multiple product types including office, mixed use, flex office, industrial, retail, high rise condominium and multi-family projects. He is a Partner at the Boyer Company and holds an Arizona Brokers Real Estate License. He has attended classes, been a member and held officer positions with the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), Urban Land Institute (ULI), International Council of Shopping Centers Inc. (ICSC) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). Mr. Evarkiou earned a bachelor’s degree in regional development from the University of Arizona.

Mark Singerman is Vice President, Regional Director for the Rockefeller Group’s Arizona Region. He is responsible for the development process of the company’s projects throughout Arizona, including in-depth financial and market analyses and direction of consultants, such as architects, engineers, and leasing agents.

Before joining the company in 2008, Mr. Singerman was the Western Region President of Crosswinds National LLC in Phoenix, where he was instrumental in forming the western national division to develop commercial and mixed-use master-planned communities. His extensive real estate career began in 1975 in the midwest as a Retail Leasing Representative for Developers Diversified REIT in Cleveland, Ohio. Afterward, Mr. Singerman served 18 years in southern California with several large developers, including regional mall developer Ernest W. Hahn, Inc. and Trizec/Hahn. He directed the acquisition, development, and construction of numerous office, industrial, and retail-center buildings, as well as single- and multi-family residences.

In addition, he acquired and managed the entitlement and development of over 4,200 acres in California, Arizona, Texas, Michigan, and Florida for mixed-use master-planned communities with infrastructure to support 15,000 homes, plus parks, schools, amenity centers, and commercial spaces.

Mr. Singerman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, with honors in Personnel Management, from Ohio University, and a Masters of Business Administration from California State University. He is actively involved in the Urban Land Institute and several other national real estate organizations.

 Negotiated American Airlines corporate headquarters in Dallas Fort

Worth International Airport. The acquisition totaled 1.8 million SF of

buildings on 300 acres of land. The project will house up to 11,000

employees upon completion of the five-building project. Assisted in

contractor and architect decisions and negotiated city incentive

package with Dallas Fort Worth.

 Preformed a labor analysis, high tax incentive and abatement package

for the relocation of Carlisle Companies, Inc. corporate headquarters,

which resulted in a 45,000 SF lease in Scottsdale.

 Represented Harkins Movie Theaters with its ground-lease acquisition

of 16 acres of land for its corporate headquarters on the Salt River

Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

 Consolidated several DriveTime locations and negotiated a 69,000 SF

building lease and acquisition headquarter relocation in Tempe, AZ

 Represented Carvana with the relocation of its corporate headquarters

to 65,000 SF in Tempe, AZ.

 Negotiated BMO Harris Bank’s 20,000 SF regional headquarters and

worked with the city of Phoenix and building owner McCarthy Cook to

solidify building naming rights and prominent top-of–the-building

signage in Phoenix.

 Negotiated more than 40 transactions and successfully restructured

Rural Metro’s entire real estate portfolio, which includes a built-to-suit

corporate headquarters, offices and fire stations.

 Provided workplace strategy and lease negotiation for Greenburg

Traurig with its 85,000 SF office in Phoenix.
