Derek Garnier is a 30-year industry veteran in digital infrastructure, specializing in corporate strategy, and has successfully built, operated, and sold companies.

He was most recently co-founder of Arcadian Infracom, a long-haul fiber optic company operating in the Southwest. Prior to Arcadian, Derek served as President and COO of Evocative Datacenters, the predecessor to VPLS, which he again joins as President and COO.

Derek also served as the CEO of Layer42 Networks, a national network services and colocation provider, which he successfully exited in 2015 through a sale to Wave Broadband. Post-acquisition, Derek continued as Wave’s SVP of Datacenter services. Before his tenure at Layer42 Networks, Derek held management positions at QTS Datacenters and AboveNet Communications through the acquisition of Sitesmith, a global managed services provider of which he was an early employee. Derek began his career as an engineer, serving in the rolefor network and data center provider ISI, later renamed Global Crossing via multiple acquisitions, as well as at network companies MFS Datanet and Cabletron Systems.

Jim Jindrick is a Director of Corporate Engagement at the University of Arizona. He has 30+ years experience in electronics research and development, real-time multitasking software operating systems, product engineering, manufacturing operations, international marketing, and new business venture development. He has launched internal corporate ventures, spin-off and spin-in companies, and independent startups. Products and ventures he developed have generated well over a billion dollars lifetime revenue to date. Jim is an Eller Entrepreneurial Fellow and was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the University of Arizona and the University of Oregon. He has received 44 U.S. and international patents, has written two books on innovation, and is an IEEE Life Member.

Sharon Millburg

Ensuring the best investments for our shareholders, Sharon Millburg is responsible for overseeing the analyzing and underwriting of potential property acquisitions to determine whether they meet the investment objectives of Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT. As Vice President of Underwriting for Carter Validus Advisors, LLC and Carter Validus Advisors II, LLC, Ms. Millburg works closely with the Acquisition teams to help structure transactions that fit within the REIT’s investment parameters and the Due Diligence team to monitor that the underwriting guidelines continue to be achieved throughout the acquisition process. She has more than 23 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Mrs. Millburg was the Vice President of Carter & Associates’ Transaction Service Group, where she provided analytical, due diligence support and other consulting services to clients for acquisitions, dispositions and lease negotiations. As Associate Regional Director of Cushman & Wakefield’s Financial Analysis Services Group for 10 years, she provided underwriting and other analytic consulting services for the firm’s brokerage professionals and clients. She has held various real estate development roles within several firms, including Finance Manager for the Commercial Division, Southeast Region for Paragon Group, Inc., Senior Accountant for Arthur Andersen and Staff Accountant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mrs. Millburg received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Eastern Illinois University.

Ryan is the Senior Vice President of Revenue for EdgeCore Internet Real Estate. In this capacity, Ryan is accountable and provides strategic direction for the sales, marketing, and product functions of the company. Prior to EdgeCore, Ryan was Vice President and Group Head of the General Management function at CoreSite Realty Corporation where he was a member of CoreSite’s Senior Leadership Team. Prior to CoreSite, Ryan worked in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group at Wachovia Securities / Wells Fargo.

John Regan serves as the Chief Investment Officer and has been in the technology and facilities infrastructure space for over three decades. In his most recent role as SVP of Acquisitions and CTO for Landmark Dividend, he executed on over a $1 billion in Digital Infrastructure acquisitions.

Prior to Landmark, Mr. Regan worked with Carter Validus (CV) Advisors where he was instrumental in the development and execution of the CV Mission Critical REIT I & II data center platforms from inception. Mr. Regan made CV’s first acquisition in July 2011. By October 2017, pipeline development and management led to closing of over 50 deals, amassing $2 billion of data center assets totaling more than 4.5 million square feet. Mr. Regan is a data center industry leader frequently speaking and moderating at conferences across the U.S. having a number of articles published by and about him.

Mr. Regan’s experience spans over 35 years within information technology, facilities infrastructure, business development, sales and acquisitions serving in various leadership positions while also providing advisory services and consulting for multiple startups. Mr. Regan served in leadership positions for 18 years with PWC, LLP as National Director of Data Center Services, National Director of Network Services, and Director of Infrastructure Delivery.

In these roles, Mr. Regan led technology and facilities infrastructure engineers and project managers through the execution of more than 26 million square feet of real estate projects spanning renovations, restacks, retrofits, consolidations, new builds and the merger of technology and facility infrastructure of Coopers & Lybrand and Price Waterhouse.

Mr. Regan achieved recognition by ComputerWorld for PWC as the number one Green IT organization worldwide in 2010 after the completion of a state-of-the-art Tier III LEED Gold-certified data center and driving other conservation practices organizationally. Mr. Regan is also an expert in BCDR having developed and executed a multi-tiered program creating PWC’s firm-wide Disaster Recovery program.

Mr. Regan has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. Leo University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. Mr. Regan holds several certifications in the infrastructure space having achieved Accredited Tier Specialist (ATS), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) credentials. He holds multiple certifications and various systems designations through Digital Equipment Corporation, Research Triangle Institute, and NCSU.

Tom is a native Arizonan with over 30 years of experience as a contractor, data center developer,

and facility design and construction engineer. He is the Southwest Advanced Technology Core

Market Leader for DPR Construction, one of the country’s top technical builders and #3 ranked

data center and telecommunications contractor in the U.S. (ENR 2017).

He has built data centers for many leading wholesale, colocation, cloud and network services

developers, and internet/telcom, healthcare, financial and energy enterprise clients. He is also

active in sustainability, renewable energy, and advanced manufacturing projects.

Tom is a board member for the 7x24 Exchange Arizona chapter and received his Bachelor of

Science and Master of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of

Technology (MIT). He is a licensed Civil Engineer and USGBC LEED® AP accredited. He has

been part of project teams receiving Uptime Institute, Green Grid, AIA, CMAA, NAIOP, ASLA,

AZRE Red and ASHE awards.

Nathan Hazelwood, Chief Development Officer of Cologix, is responsible for leading all aspects of design and construction, supply chain, vendor management, sales engineering and strategic sourcing throughout the company.

Over the past 18 years, Nathan has been an industry leader in key areas, such as design, construction and supply chain by forging new ways of procuring that have led to changes in how manufacturers and end users benefit together.

Prior to joining Cologix, Hazelwood held leadership roles in the data center industry at CyrusOne and QTS. He was responsible for overseeing development projects, establishing corporate standards, building procurement departments, setting overall strategic sourcing strategies, creating robust supply chains and fostering strategic partnerships.

Hazelwood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Purdue University.

Christopher is a Senior Program Manager with Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft, he was the Director of Data Center Services at Expedia, responsible for infrastructure support delivery to all Expedia brands including Expedia, Travelocity, trivago, Orbitz, Mobidata, Wotif.com, Traveldoo, Ebookers, CheapTickets, Hotwire.com, Hotels.com, etc.

Mr. Neil started his career 28 years ago as Electronic Technician at the US Navy, he worked nearly a decade at MAJIQ, before he took on the role of GIS – Infrastructure Platform Services Manager at Expedia where he succeeded for 6 years. He then became promoted to Manager, GIS – Infrastructure Capacity Management, Service Delivery Sr. Manager and now Director Data Center Services for Expedia Inc. With nearly three decades of solid track record, serving some of the most mission critical applications.

Mr. Neil brings valuable expertise to IDCA’s Technical Standards Committee. His expertise and duties include but are not limited to managing data center operations ensuring 99.999% availability for all critical infrastructure, data center space planning, capacity and forecast modeling, developing and maintaining a 5 year Expedia data center strategy supporting trending and capacity management modeling, strategy planning and development of roadmaps for data center strategy, establishing operational standards, processes, intake and auditing programs in support of data center operations, selection, development and evaluation data center staff, and more.

Michael bring 23 years of investment banking, commercial real estate, and digital infrastructure experience, and with it he brings a deep understanding how mission critical infrastructure is the bind which holds today’s digital economy together. Serving as Chief Executive Officer for Layer 9 Data Centers, Michael leads the organization’s growth initiatives into Latin America where Layer 9 will begin delivering in 2023 hyperscale data center solutions to cloud service providers and enterprise 1000 clients.

Michael has maintained leadership roles with hyperscale data center operators, Digital Realty and DuPont Fabros Technology and previously served in Portfolio Management at Equity Office Properties through the sale of the company to Blackstone in 2007. Michael’s investment banking experience at JP Morgan and Mitsubishi Tokyo Financial Group focused on capital debt placements and distressed credit workouts. Michael recently earned his Executive Education Certifications in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence from the University Of Oxford.

Jeff is recognized as a leader in the hosting, colocation and managed services industries. Prior to leading AGILE, Jeff served as EVP and CTO for Directlink, taking the company from startup to a successful data center services provider with responsibilities including managing operations, sales, marketing and overall organizational direction. He brings more than 20 years’ experience to his current role. Jeff held similar roles with Champion Solutions Group as an overlay sales and engineering resource for the IBM Channel for the eastern US, supporting IBM sales teams in qualifying and developing Hosting, Collocation and Managed Services solutions. Prior to that Jeff was a Director of Hosting and Managed Services at AT&T when the industry began to take shape. He was instrumental in developing the data center markets in Secaucus and Ashburn in the late 90’s/ early 2000’s for AT&T, winning large hosting and services contract for enterprise clients as well as Internet startups that have grown into what is eBay today.

Matt Waymire, VP Facilities for Wave Broadband, is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of critical power and cooling systems in over 150 network hubs and data center locations across Washington, Oregon, and California. His focus in this role has been the standardization of infrastructure that is scalable, reliable, and easy to maintain. Prior to Wave Broadband, Matthew worked for Layer42 Networks, QTS Data Centers, and Latisys Data Centers (now part of Zayo). He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and four boys. He spends his free time teaching his kids to restore cars and serving with his local church.

Becky Wanta is a highly accomplished global senior executive with more than 30 years of success of

applying extensive IT experience to guide companies in any industry to achieve their goals. She has proven

her ability to improve market share and profitability while establishing long-term business relations, as well

as to develop cross-functional and high-performing teams. Becky’s areas of expertise include IT strategy,

enterprise software, business intelligence and analysis, integration, strategy, cloud computing, go-to- market

strategies, startups, project management, enterprise architecture, ecommerce, due diligence, strategic

planning, and security.

Currently, Becky is Chief Operating Officer/Chief Information Officer (COO/CIO) for One Degree World,

a technology company focused on Travel and Entertainment as well as Healthcare. Becky also serves as

President and CEO of RSW1C, a company she founded in 2007. In this role, she has partnered and

consulted with some of the world’s leading organizations including Target, Ralph Lauren, Wyndham,

Caterpillar, Georgia-Pacific, Coca-Cola, Honeywell, Devon, Western Digital, Koch Industries, DuPont,

3M, Cargill, GE, P&G, and Miller Brewing Company. Prior to her current COO/CIO role she has served as

an interim executive to various startup companies and is a highly sought after executive and consultant with

proven ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.

Earlier in her career, Becky was able to prove her ability to transform entire organizations by focusing on

improving IT within the companies. She quickly built a respectable reputation as a highly desirable

executive, which led to her executive appointments with The Money Store (First Union), Wells Fargo,

FeldGroup/EDS, PepsiCo, Best Buy, the State Compensation Insurance Fund (California), MGM Resorts

International, and Pacific Compensation Insurance Company.

In addition to her executive career, Becky serves as an Advisor to the Board for MIT “Wealth of Nations,”

Teradata Retail/Hospitality, Calgary Scientific and 360ofme. Further proving her thought leadership, she

has been awarded the Chairman’s Award from PepsiCo and her #4 and #12 ranking on The ExecRanks’

Top 50 Female CIOs of 2012 and Top 200 CIOs of 2012 respectively. She has spoken at the Teradata

Universe Conferences in both Australia and Tokyo, CDM Media events, and numerous other engagements

Becky obtained her BS in MIS (Summa Cum Laude) from Chapman University; she attained her MBA in

Business Administration with an MIS Concentration (Magna Cum Laude) from Golden Gate University,

and she received her MS in Banking from the University of Washington, Pacific Coast Banking School.
