Scott D. Peters has served as our Chairman of the Board since July 2006, Chief Executive Officer since April 2006 and President since June 2007. He served as the Chief Executive Officer, President and a director of Grubb & Ellis Company, or Grubb & Ellis, our former sponsor, from December 2007 to July 2008, and as the Chief Executive Officer, President and director of NNN Realty Advisors, a wholly owned subsidiary of Grubb & Ellis, from its formation in September 2006. Through its merger with GBE, Mr. Peters served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Triple Net Properties, Inc. from September 2004 to November 2006. From April 2006 to 2007, Mr. Peters served as director of NNN Apartment REIT, Inc. Mr. Peters served as President and Chief Executive Officer of G REIT, Inc. from 2005 to 2006, having previously served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from September 2004. From February 1997 to February 2007, Mr. Peters served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and a director of Golf Trust of America, Inc. (now known as Pernix Therapeutics Holdings, Inc. (NYSE MKT LLC: PTX)), a publicly traded REIT. From 1992 through 1996, Mr. Peters served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Pacific Holding Company (LSR) in Los Angeles. From 1988 to 1992, Mr. Peters served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Castle & Cooke Properties, Inc. Mr. Peters received a B.B.A. degree in Accounting and Finance from Kent State University.

A founding partner of Ensemble, Randy McGrane plays a pivotal role in all aspects
of Ensemble’s business model. In addition
to working extensively on business development, Randy oversees acquisition and disposition of property and manages long-term financing with the institutional debt markets. He has cultivated his vast operational expertise throughout his 30-
year career, which began in the commercial construction industry in California. Over his career he has overseen a broad range of commercial ventures - from large commercial sub-divisions with complex engineering components, to innovative design solutions for healthcare facilities. One of the areas of project development that Randy particularly enjoys is creative re-development where seemingly obsolete facilities can be invigorated. This emphasis is demonstrated by the awards that have been won by many of the properties in Ensemble’s portfolio.

Jon Willis

Jon D. Willis, a 6th Generation Arizonan, began his commercial real estate brokerage and development career in 1999 while still a senior in high school. He specializes in all forms of commercial real estate and development. He is currently the Designated Broker for Willis Property Company, a Mesa, Arizona based brokerage and development firm, and he’s Senior Vice President of Sun Commercial Real Estate in Las Vegas, Nevada. His company, Willis Property Company, has brokered in excess of $1.5 billion in commercial real estate sales and leasing. They have platted, engineered and entitled over 30,000 residential lots in over 3 dozen Master-Planned Communities in Arizona. The largest Master-Planned Community that Willis Property Company assisted in the development of was the Spectrum of Val Vista, a 1,600-acre development located in Gilbert, AZ. This development included Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and the surrounding campus. He was vital in the growth of Mercy Gilbert Medical Center campus with the development of the Medical Plaza at Spectrum. In 2006, he was hired by The Boyer Company, based in Salt Lake City, Utah, to assist in the development and brokerage of roughly 100,000 square feet of medical office space located on the hospital campus. Since that time The Medical Plaza has become one of the most vibrant medical office condo developments in the Southeast Valley. Mr. Willis was instrumental in bringing the Celebration Stem Cell Center, CVAM, Fresenius Dialysis Center, Select Medical Physical Therapy, Gilbert Neurology, San Tan Surgery Center, Sonora Laboratories, Gilbert Pulmonology, Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics as well as many other medical practices to the South Gilbert area.

In 2011, Mr. Willis represented Sorenson Group Management, in the partial disposition of their $701 million structured portfolio purchase from the FDIC. A portion of this portfolio included over 265,000 square feet of office condominiums, originally developed by the UTAZ Corporation, located in the Southeast Valley. Mr. Willis subsequently sold these office condominiums to dozens of medical practices and providing new specialty medical services to areas where it wasn’t available prior.

In late 2015 Mr. Willis became the lead development consultant and broker for a $193 million, 374 acre sports training and entertainment facility in Metro Phoenix, which is scheduled to break ground in early 2017. This venue will be the largest sporting venue in the Western United States and will host many local, national and international sporting events. His development team was recently secured the funds, a total of $1.4 billion, to develop an additional five sporting facilities in five yet to be announced markets in the United States. Recently, Mr. Willis has been assisting in the development of a new boutique casino located on the Las Vegas Strip, which is scheduled to open summer of 2017.

In 2009, Mr. Willis began teaching at the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business becoming the youngest instructor in the School’s 40+ year history. He was awarded Instructor of the Year in 2014 and currently teaching the new licensing program at the school.

Mr. Willis currently resides in Mesa with his wife Angela, and daughter Chloe. They are currently expecting twins, due in March 2017.

Assisted Living Locators is the fastest growing placement franchise in the US with over 60 franchised office locations. Ms. Olea created a National Readmissions Prevention Specialized Program for Community Care Providers to reduce hospital readmissions. Ms. Olea serves as a Board Member for The Professional Association of Senior Referral Specialists.

Mark’s experience in commercial real estate spans over 30 years in a variety of roles. These roles include commercial real estate finance, brokerage, and development. Asset types vary as well, including retail, office, medical office, senior housing, land and multi-family. He has successfully managed more than $500 million in commercial real estate assets nationwide for discriminating owners such as publicly owned real estate lenders, family trusts, private investors and developers. Mark maintains extensive knowledge of the senior living, land development, retail, and office sectors. Mark also has a wide range of experience in specialty properties such as resort management, golf operations, and marinas. Mark has primarily focused on senior housing for the last decade as a principal, developer and broker.

Current activities include development and construction oversight of three large assisted living/memory support projects located in Surprise, Glendale, and Peoria. Stabilized market value for these three projects is estimated at nearly $100 million. Mark facilitated all real estate related aspects of the projects including site identification as the broker of record, entitlements, design, and oversight of construction activities. The Orchard Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care in Surprise is complete and operational. Orchard Pointe at Arrowhead in Glendale is now in construction with an expected opening date of February 2017. Orchard Pointe at Terrazza in Peoria is in escrow and in the site planning and entitlement phase. Completion of the Peoria site acquisition is expected June 2016. Other current activities include third party brokerage of senior living communities.

Mark is an active member of the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council and the Arizona Assisted Living Federation of America. He is an active member of several community organizations. Hobbies include flying as an instrument rated private pilot.

James Neil is a Director with Hunt Mortgage Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunt Companies. Mr. Neil leads the company’s Healthcare origination team which specializes in financing solutions for senior living operators and owners. Hunt Mortgage Group offers a combination of financing solutions, including the HUD/FHA LEAN program as well as Hunt’s own proprietary Bridge and other Specialty Loan Products. Mr. Neil has 30 years of banking experience focusing on a variety of sectors including: health care, manufacturing, retail, technology, consumer brands, real estate and distribution.

Prior to joining Hunt Mortgage Group, Mr. Neil served for nine years as Senior Originator for Greystone Funding Corporation and as a Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for Lancaster Pollard’s South Central U.S. office. Additionally, Mr. Neil spent seven years with US Bank as head of commercial lending for Central Ohio. Prior to that, he was with PNC for eight years concluding as manager of large corporate banking for the Southeast U.S.

Mr. Neil earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida State University. He is a graduate of Darden’s Executive Program at the University of Virginia. Mr. Neil has served in a number of capacities for several philanthropic organizations including: Junior Achievement, The Children’s Hunger Alliance, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Habitat for Humanity.

Joe La Rue is Executive Vice President of Sun Health, a local nonprofit organization that champions healthy living, research and superior healthcare through community partnerships that create, develop and foster superior living, learning and working environments.

Mr. La Rue is responsible for managing the real estate portfolio for Sun Health, including, overall campus master planning and development. This includes managing the development of Sun Health’s three Continuing Care Retirement Communities in Northwest Phoenix.

Prior to joining Sun Health in 2005, Mr. La Rue was an attorney practicing in the Sun Cities area for 16 years, with an emphasis in real estate finance and development. After receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business in 1985, Mr. La Rue earned his Juris Doctorate from the Arizona State University College in Law in 1988.

Mr. La Rue was appointed to the State Transportation Board to represent Maricopa County in March 2012, and currently serves as the Chairman. He is a former member of the Maricopa County Transportation Advisory Board, representing Supervisory District 4. Mr. La Rue is a past member of the WESTMARC Board Directors. In addition, Mr. La Rue served a four-year term on the Peoria City Council from 1997-2001.

As the leader of Weitz’s national senior living and student housing projects, Chris provides leadership which drives effective and efficient delivery of projects. With 30 years of construction experience, he has held numerous leadership positions within the organization and is known for his reliability and ability to ensure project success. Before relocating to Phoenix in 2015, he served as a board member for the Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation, Omaha Executive Institute, Omaha Business Executive Council and the Nebraska Independent College Foundation while living in Omaha, Nebraska. Prior to that, he served on the board of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement in Des Moines, Iowa. A native of Iowa, Chris holds two bachelor’s degrees from Iowa State University in Construction Engineering and Civil Engineering. He and his wife Kristine reside in Phoenix and they have two adult children. Chris is an avid hunter and enjoys exploring the numerous hiking trails located throughout the Valley.

Kyle Walker is a Founder and Managing Partner of Green Card Fund, LLC and NewGen Worldwide. As Managing Partner, Mr. Walker’s primary focus is on Industry Relations, USCIS compliance and International Distribution Channels. Spending much of his time on a plane, Mr. Walker has built distribution channels for Green Card Fund in China, India, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Kyle is also a partner of NewGen Commercial, a vertically integrated hospitality industry that includes brokerage, development, consulting and the ownership and operations of their own properties. Kyle earned a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arizona State University with a focus in Business and Urban Planning. Mr. Walker is also involved with the Greater Phoenix Economic Council’s (GPEC) International Leadership Council, was a founding member of the China Arizona Alliance and serves as Chair on the Membership Committee of Invest in USA (IIUSA, EB-5 trade association).

As Development Vice President based in Irgens’ Phoenix office, Jason is involved in all aspects of healthcare and commercial developments in the state of Arizona. He oversees architecture, engineering and construction on development projects and is active with project feasibility analysis, leasing, contract negotiations and review of planning and development documents and processes. With Jason’s educational background in marketing, he also is an asset in promoting business development opportunities on behalf of the company.

Prior to Irgens, Jason worked for a national retail developer and managed a $50 million portfolio of retail shopping centers and land sites. He is very active in his local community, including being a member of the Men’s Art Council, Tempe Enhanced Services Commission Board member and participating in several professional organizations.

Denise Murray-Leitz is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 14 years experience in a broad array of healthcare segments including administration and consulting for intermediate care, mental health, hospice, acute and sub-acute facilities. Her experience includes due diligence and negotiations, growth management and strategy, program development, quality and performance improvement, managed care, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational change management.

Denise earned a BS degree in Business Management from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business Magna Cum Laude. A Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Kaplan University with Presidential honors as well as a Certification as a Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) through the American College of Medical Practice Executives.

Denise’s passion is to truly make a difference in the community and for the patients being served by Bayless Healthcare. She does this by aligning her personal interests with her career and encouraging open and collaborative relationships. Denise has resided in Arizona for almost 11 years, married to a wonderful husband and blessed with three amazing children. She serves in multiple charities and non-profit organizations including National Cervical Cancer Coalition, Stepping Up for Seniors, various independent fundraisers, as well as women and children’s outreach initiatives.

Bryce Hall is an accomplished architect and executive with more than 20 years of experience in residential architecture. As the President of KEPHART, he guides the strategic vision and direction of the firm, providing support for eight additional Principals who help drive KEPHART’s success. Bryce’s contagious passion and deep knowledge of the industry inspires his peers to pursue continuous growth and education.

Bryce attended the University of Colorado, where he earned master’s degrees in both architecture and business administration, allowing him to understand the industry more comprehensively from the perspective of both an architect and a developer. His enthusiasm for these two interests, combined with his deep understanding of client needs, have helped solidify KEPHART as the architect of choice for many national developers.
