Dixie James, Regional President, Jefferson Health, is a proven healthcare professional with more than 20 years of healthcare experience.

In her current role, Dixie is the executive leader responsible for strategic growth and day-to-day operations for a $3.3B region, including Jefferson’s flagship Center City hospital, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital as well as Jefferson Einstein Hospital, Jefferson Moss-Magee Rehabilitation, and multiple ambulatory surgery centers. Dixie currently sits on the Board of Directors for America’s Essential Hospitals, a national association dedicated to ensuring equitable high-quality care for all, the Philadelphia Foundation, a community foundation focused on increasing philanthropic civic investment across Philadelphia , The Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Philabundance, the region’s largest hunger relief organization where she serves as Board Chair

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s in Business Administration from Loyola College. She also maintains active professional memberships with the American College of Healthcare Executives, the National Association of Health Services Executives, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Mr. Young is a five-time CEO with more than three decades of proven

leadership at Temple and other institutions including Grady Memorial Hospital

in Atlanta, Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, Pinnacle Health System and

Lancaster General in Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor and Master of

Health Administration degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and is a

Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Shelly Buck joined Main Line Health as president of Riddle Hospital in September 2019. With almost 20 years of experience in health care leadership, Buck provides leadership and operational oversight at Riddle Hospital and collaborates with the senior leadership team, medical staff leadership, Riddle Hospital Foundation Board, and her executive colleagues across Main Line Health to identify strategies for success and to ensure that the effective execution of those strategies are in line with Main Line Health's mission, vision, values and strategic plan.

Buck's other key responsibilities include serving as system executive of women’s service line, senior services service line and EMS/transportation services. Buck’s participation, leadership and execution in the system strategic planning process and related goals and outcomes are key executive roles as well as, aligning her team and resources around Main Line Health's strategic vision. Buck will also lead the execution of Riddle Hospital's master facility plan.

Prior to her role at Main Line Health, Buck served as chief operating officer and chief nursing officer at Wellspan York Hospital, where she focused on aligning the team to implement a shared governance structure to apply for Magnet designation. Before that, Buck held a series of roles with increasing responsibility at Bon Secours Health System, ranging from nursing leadership to chief operating officer. During these 13 years, Buck experienced a wealth of leadership challenges that she successfully tackled, including significantly reducing staff turnover and developing a culture of innovation and transparency that resulted in an enhanced patient experience as well as significant operational improvements.

Buck received her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership degree, from Old Dominion University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Michael Beatrice is a career member of Torcon’s staff, serving in project engineering, document control, and field supervision positions, and has been managing his own projects for almost ten years. Mike has been involved in a wide variety of project types, including highly sophisticated biopharma process/manufacturing plants, massive, one-of-a-kind research centers, and an array of healthcare and higher education projects. Mike most recently completed the new $109M Racquet & Recreation Fieldhouse at Princeton University where he served as the Project Director. He is currently overseeing the construction of Tower A, which is part of the multi-phase expansion program at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ.

Natalie Miovski Hagerty is a healthcare executive at one of the top-ranked and fast-growing children’s hospitals in the United States. As a strategic and innovative leader, she navigates change with vision and integrity, leading complex real estate and development plans from strategy to implementation. Ms Hagerty is a registered architect and member of the American Institute of Architects. She holds certificates in Real Estate from the Urban Land Institute, is Six Sigma Green Belt Certified (SSGBC), is an Evidenced Based Design Accredited Professional (EDAC) and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).

She is currently the Assistant Vice President of Facilities Planning, Design and Integration of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s 10-year, +2 million square feet, $3 billion capital program to create state-of-the-art hospital, outpatient, academic, and research facilities.

Ms. Hagerty serves on the board of Philadelphia Women in Construction and serves on the Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Board Committee and is the board liaison to the Connecting Committee which is dedicated to connecting women in construction with high schools, universities and other non-profit organizations. She is also one of the founding members of the national Nursing Institute of Healthcare Design.

She is mission-driven, collaborative and uses design thinking to inspire breakthrough ideas that promotes the patients, family, and staff experience. As the co-founder of the Pediatric Environments Network (PEN), she is an international trailblazer for the development of pediatric-specific spaces geared to improve outcomes, efficiencies, and experiences.

She holds a bachelor’s in architecture from State University of New York at Buffalo, master’s graduate studies in Architecture from Mc Gill University in Montreal, Canada and a master of science in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.

As Vice President of Facilities Development, Julie Herb oversees all design and development,

construction, and real estate for Virtua Health. Virtua is South Jersey’s largest health system with five

hospitals and approximately 300 additional locations throughout the region. Having worked on a

multitude of projects and negotiations over her career, including the region’s first Proton Therapy

Center, Julie’s current responsibilities include executive oversight for care transformation initiatives at

Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and Virtua Mount Holly Hospital.

Over the past twenty-five years, Julie has proven to be an industry leader in the health care real estate

and development space. Among the many accomplishments throughout her leadership journey, Julie

has led the facilities efforts for the Epic transformation across the multi-hospital system, the integration

of numerous properties from acquisition activities, the disposition of facilities from a variety of

initiatives, as well as oversight of billions of dollars of capital construction, renovation, and

infrastructure projects. Julie continues to work on facility master planning activities for Virtua, as well as

countless strategic initiatives which will position Virtua well for many years into the future.

As a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and the Business Management Program of the Wharton

School of the University of Pennsylvania, Julie holds a professional designation with the Counselors of

Real Estate, serving as Chapter Treasurer, and is also a Member of the Board of Trustees with Oaks

Integrated Care. Julie was recently appointed as a Board Member and Secretary of Association of

Medical Facility Professionals Philadelphia.

As Regional Director of Design at EwingCole, Saul combines his training in architecture and landscape architecture to create seamless experiences between the exterior landscape and the interior spaces. A recipient of Healthcare Design’s Architect of the Year award in 2016, his work has earned numerous design awards over the past 25 years for projects in healthcare, research, and education. His designs are noted for elegant, modern aesthetics that respond to function and celebrate everyday moments and experiences. He earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.

As founder and CEO of RevitGods, Uchenna Okere is dedicated to leading the digital transformation of the building industry. Uchenna heads a team of architects and engineers to help firms adopt digital tools that increase the quality and efficiency of their building projects. In addition to leading RevitGods, Uchenna also serves on the board of

DesignPhiladelphia, where he contributes to advancing their K-12 educational programs.

In 5 years, RevitGods has helped over 60 AECO firms across North America increase their project efficiency by over 300% using BIM software. Uchenna has led the pre-construction

efforts of several new construction and large renovation projects that resulted in either no change orders or an overall 20% savings in potential construction errors/rework. Through his work at RevitGods, Uchenna is committed to empowering people to shape the very buildings and communities they inhabit.

Josh Barnett brings over 15 years of healthcare design expertise to Rendina, where he leads the Design & Development team as Senior Vice President. His experience spans a wide range of projects, from small-scale hospital renovations and tenant improvements to large, complex campus expansions and new outpatient facilities. Known for his meticulous approach and ability to manage multiple priorities, Josh earns the trust of his clients through a hands-on, solution-driven project delivery style that aligns with their missions and goals.

Before joining Rendina, Josh contributed to high-profile projects at leading architecture firms in New York City and Boston, overseeing all phases of project delivery—from initial planning and programming to final completion. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Boston Architectural College and is a licensed architect in New York and New Jersey.

In addition to his professional work, Josh is a dedicated advocate for the future of architecture. He has served in leadership roles with the American Institute of Architects, the Academy of Architecture for Health, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Josh also contributes to his local community as Vice Chair of his town’s Land Use Board, reflecting his commitment to shaping thoughtful, impactful spaces both locally and nationally.

Jeremy Samet currently serves as the Vice President of Healthcare at Target Building, a regional General Contractor & Construction Manager that specializes in the healthcare construction market. Mr. Samet brings over 20 years of construction management experience, overseeing every aspect of complex healthcare projects for multiple local institutions. Throughout his career, Jeremy has led teams on projects ranging in size and scope—from minor interior renovations to major infrastructure upgrades, along with ground up construction, all while navigating the changing marketplace, as well as client’s needs. In his current role, Jeremy engages in a litany of responsibilities—from business development, to preconstruction services, and working hand-in-hand with his clients, design teams, as well as the project team in order to efficiently and effectively implement a game plan that yields successful results and in turn is beneficial to the Client’s and their respective daily operations.

In addition to his duties at Target Building, Jeremy currently sits on the Thomas Jefferson University Construction Management Advisory Board in an effort to help drive curriculum for current and future students at his alma matter.

Maria is a seasoned healthcare executive with over 30 years of leadership experience, including serving as CEO of St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and CEO of Cancer Treatment Centers of America. In 2022, she joined CFI Workspace to establish a dedicated Healthcare Division, leveraging her expertise in operations, design and strategy.

Maria’s deep understanding of healthcare at all levels makes her an invaluable partner in helping clients achieve goals in safety, satisfaction, operational excellence and efficient space utilization for both clinical and non-clinical settings. She has a proven track record of collaborating with healthcare architects and design teams on projects of all sizes, ensuring that patient centered care and client priorities remain at the forefront throughout the process.

Scott Martin is an office tenant representation real estate advisor and leading specialist in the niche sector of healthcare real estate in the Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey markets. With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Martin most recently was Senior Vice President with Markeim-Chalmers, Inc. (MCI) and successfully executed real estate transactions in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. During his time with MCI he led the firm’s office and investment group while focusing on tenant representation, landlord representation, and investment sales. Prior to joining Markeim-Chalmers in 2007, Mr. Martin served a distinguished career at Grubb & Ellis (now Newmark Knight Frank) and prior to that, he was a financial planner for Morgan Stanley and Wachovia Securities.
