With a multi-faceted real estate career spanning more than 30 years, Richard Douglass oversees all operations of Trumark Homes’ Southern California Division. He has led organizations that have constructed more than 10,000 homes – from entry level to multi-million dollar products including high-rise development – with revenues well in excess of $3 billion. Prior to joining Trumark Homes, Mr. Douglass most recently headed Ryland Homes’ operations in Southern California and previously was Southern California Division President for Centex Homes.

Mr. Douglass is an integral member of the Building Industry Association of Southern California, where he recently held a position on the Governance Committee and also served as the President for the Orange County Chapter in 2004. For his commitment to the community beyond the building industry, he received the “Spirit of Life” Award from The City of Hope and the “Good Scout” Award from the Boy Scouts of America.

A native of San Clemente, Mr. Douglass received his Bachelor of Art degree in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach. Richard also attended Orange Coast College, where he graduated from the school’s Construction Technology and Applied Mathematics program.

Eric is currently the Vice President of Community Development at Trumark Homes. Eric’s background in land

use planning, entitlement processing, and development spans more than two decades. During that time, his

role in planning, community outreach, and land use approvals resulted in the development of thousands of

residential units and millions of square feet of commercial space. Eric has overseen the entitlement and

development of technically complicated and politically contentious projects in jurisdictions throughout California

and the western United States and is equally adept at resolving technical issues while interfacing with elected

officials and community stakeholders.

Eric serves on the Planning Commission in the City of Dana Point, is the President of the Orange County

Chapter of the Building Industry Association and is a member of the Board of Directors at the League of

California Cities.

Prior to joining the team in 2018, Jared served as the Executive Vice President for another private lender for 5 years and has over 25 years of experience in the industry. Jared earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota, his MBA from Colorado Technical University, and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Bank School.

units. Bascom has ranked among the top 50 multifamily owners in the U.S. Bascom’s

subsidiaries and joint ventures include the Southern California Industrial Fund,

Rushmore Properties, Bascom Portfolio Advisors, Shubin Nadal Associates, Spirit Bascom

Ventures, REDA Bascom Ventures, MHF RM Holdings, Bascom Northwest Ventures,

Prior to founding Bascom, Mr. Fink acted as Senior Acquisitions and Sales Manager from

Mr. Fink holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a

Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the University of

Wisconsin-Madison. He is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Managements (IREM)

and Turnaround Management Association (TMA). Mr. Fink is a licensed real estate

broker in the state of California, a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a

Certified Property Manager (CPM), a Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA),

and a Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP). He has appeared as a guest speaker at

various functions, including those for the Urban Land Institute, University of California

Los Angeles and Irvine, University of Southern California, and other assorted industry

events. Mr. Fink previously served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Real

Estate Alumni Association and is currently a member of the USC Lusk Center for Real

Estate Executive Committee.  He has previously served on the board for the Young

Presidents Organization (YPO) California Coast chapter and is currently a member of the

World Presidents Organization (WPO).

In 2004, Mr. Fink was awarded the Apartment Executive of the Year by the Real Estate

Conference Group, the industry's largest and most prestigious multifamily conference

on the West Coast, and was later awarded the Rising Star award by the University of

California Irvine Center for Real Estate in 2008. Mr. Fink was also recognized in the 2011

Multi-Family Executive Magazine. In 2016, Mr. Fink was awarded the Ernst & Young

Entrepreneur of the Year, Orange County.

Mr. Cook is the Managing Partner of Sancerra (https://www.sancerra.com) – a Newport Beach,

CA-based boutique development and investment firm focusing on the creation of institutional-

quality, sustainable build-for-rent, for sale, apartment, and mixed-use communities across

California.

Prior to co-founding Sancerra, Mr. Cook spent 7 years with Irvine Company – most recently as

Head of Acquisitions & Dispositions. Serving on the company’s extended operating

management committee, he was responsible for acquisitions, dispositions, due diligence,

development planning, market research, and analytics across the company’s apartment and

commercial product lines. During Mr. Cook's tenure with the company, he managed the

acquisition or disposition of 24 projects including 2,700+ residential units and 1.8M SF of

commercial space with capitalizations exceeding $2.2 billion. Before Irvine Company, Mr. Cook

held leadership positions with Integral Communities, MBK Homes, Larwin Company, and Bank

of America.

Mr. Cook received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of

North Carolina, and his Master of Real Estate Development (graduating with academic honors)

from the University of Southern California. He currently serves on the Executive Committee of

USC’s Lusk Center for Real Estate and previous taught as an adjunct professor in USC’s

graduate real estate (MRED) program. Mr. Cook also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst

(CFA) designation.

James O'Malley

With more than 38 years of experience in the real estate industry, O’Malley joined Shopoff in April 2016, acting as the firm’s Vice President – Development. In this new role as Senior Vice President – Forward Planning, O’Malley will lead the development team throughout a project’s development cycle, from land acquisition, due diligence and the entitlement process, to ultimately managing the sale of assets.

James is active in representing Shopoff throughout the real estate and local community, as an Orange County Building Industry Association Board Member, a member of the Huntington Beach Wetland Conservancy Board, as well as other industry affiliated group memberships. Prior to his role with Shopoff, he held the position of Vice President, Land Acquisitions for Meritage Homes of Southern California.

Denise Ashton is well versed in the planning and design field for the development industry with over 40 years of experience. Her education in geography set the stage for her broad perspective of large-scale land planning. She is a key asset to WHA and its clients because of her well-rounded expertise of the development process from project inception to completion, design through entitlement, expertise in site specific design, written, verbal and graphic presentation, as well as client relations.

As one of two managing Senior Principals of the Community Design Studio, Denise’s enthusiasm and passion for the profession is inspiring. Her ability to manage and lead a team of professionals, or to be a team player herself, results in a dynamic, self-motivating, and creative planning studio.

Her interaction with the Residential and Mixed-Use studios of WHA, unifies the disciplines and inspires a creative and powerful solution-oriented approach to project challenges. Denise has strong core design values that guide her successes. Her focus is in compatible contextual neighborhood design, livable neighborhood and community design, TOD development, while also balancing project objectives with client goals.

Jeff has been involved with technology for multifamily since 2001. He currently is a National Account Manager at ADT Multifamily and provides owners, developers and management companies a fully integrated smart solution that includes in unit smart technology, smart security, common area access, cameras and gated entry solutions. The ADT solution will integrate with most property management software currently available. He has spent last 20 years in the multifamily industry and has found relationships in multifamily last so he feels you must always treat your customer "like you want to be treated" and provide the best service before and after installation to ensure everything runs smoothly. Jeff's favorite quote is "Seek first to understand before being understood" and he believes this principle is the foundation for a successful business relationship.

Recognized for her superior client service and attention to detail, Amanda Donson enjoys facilitating complex real estate transactions on behalf of her clients and closing challenging deals.

Amanda represents a wide variety of clients including developers, homebuilders, private investors, institutional investors, and global technology companies in their acquisition, disposition, development and leasing of industrial, retail, office and multifamily assets throughout the United States.

From the early stages of drafting letters of intent to negotiating purchase agreements, analyzing due diligence and managing the close of escrow, Amanda is a trusted advisor working collaboratively with her clients to achieve successful outcomes. With respect to her leasing work, she drafts and negotiates industrial, retail and office leases, including build-to-suit leases, on behalf of landlords and tenants. In addition, Amanda drafts and negotiates CC&Rs, easement agreements, and development agreements in connection with her ground-up development work of shopping centers and residential subdivisions.

While in law school, Amanda was a repeat recipient of the prestigious CALI Excellence for the Future Award for legal research, writing and advocacy and honored for her commitment to serving the community through her pro bono legal work. She serves on the firm's Community Outreach and Pro Bono Committees, and has recently represented a non-profit in the acquisition of a commercial building to serve as their new headquarters.

Hamid grew up in the construction industry by learning the trade in his family’s real estate development business and has pursued a technology-oriented education and professional life in the past 20 years. Prior to founding Zebel in 2019, Hamid led the preconstruction data analytics at Western National Group, a large multifamily development/construction/property management firm, based in Southern California. He now works with large multifamily developers and GC's, such as Irvine Company, Ryan Companies, and Legacy Partners, who share their historical construction cost data anonymously through Zebel, the "Switzerland of Construction Cost Data".

Hamid received a Master of Business Administration from Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, earned a Master of Science in Construction Management and an Engineer degree in Construction Information Technology both from University of Southern California.
