Bill Shopoff has more than forty (40) years of real estate and investment experience. His expertise includes the acquisition, development, and sale of new and redeveloped residential and commercial properties throughout the United States, as well as partnership structure, debt placement, venture capital and investment underwriting. Mr. Shopoff has acquired over 1,000 properties on behalf of his various entities, including the acquisition of over 6,000 apartment units (fee or mortgage loans), the entitlement of over 20,000 lots/units of land suitable for single-family or multi-family development, as well as millions of square feet of commercial projects. Additionally, the firm has undertaken numerous development projects, with current developments underway including high cube logistics buildings, apartments, luxury condominiums and single-family build to rent product.

For over 30 years, Mr. Shopoff has led Shopoff Realty Investments and its predecessor firms. Since 1992, he has served as either Principal or as President of the Asset Recovery Fund, and since August 1999, as the President of Eastbridge Partners, L.P. Upon acquiring the assets of Eastbridge Partners, L.P. in April 2004, Mr. Shopoff created the manager, Shopoff Realty Investments, L.P., and has served as its President since that time. Bill Shopoff also stands as Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder of Vertimass, LLC since 2012 and holds security licenses: Series 22, 24, 39, 62, 63, 79TO.

Involved in a number of industry associations, Mr. Shopoff is currently a member of Commercial Investment Real Estate and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, the Building Industry Association as well as Lambda Alpha International (LAI), a global land economics society. Mr. Shopoff also stands as Investment Committee member for LCAD (Laguna College of Art + Design) and board member for The Park Club professional network of Orange County.

Mr. Shopoff is also involved in various collegiate councils, being named to the Executive Council of the Real Estate Center at The University of Texas McCombs School of Business. This Executive Council advises faculty and staff on curriculum matters within the University’s real estate department. He is also a member of the University of California Irvine-Chief Executive Roundtable (UCI CERT), which works in concert with local business leaders and university faculty.

In addition to his industry and educational board involvement, Mr. Shopoff is also involved in various nonprofit foundations, including his former roles as President of the Board of Directors for the Central Coast Wine Classic Foundation, and as a board member of Global Energy Network International (GENI), a non-profit organization based in San Diego, California. Furthermore, Mr. Shopoff has also been the top fundraiser for the past 20 years for the AIDS LifeCycle, a 585-mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, which supports the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.

Mr. Shopoff is a frequent speaker on various real estate and investment related topics. He has been invited to participate as a key panelist and a guest speaker on professional panels at real estate conferences and industry events throughout the United States. He holds many awards and accreditations including nomination for the Orange County Business Journal’s 2023 Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award.

Mr. Meserve is principal and is responsible for acquisitions, development and property operations. In his ten years with The Koll Company, Meserve has been responsible for property and asset management, identifying investment and development opportunities, construction management, and marketing. Prior to joining Koll, Meserve was development manager for Burke Real Estate Group. Over the course of his career, he has managed the development of over 3 million square feet of office and industrial product in Southern California. Mr. Meserve holds a bachelors degree in economics from Vanderbilt University.

John presides as Executive Managing Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Irvine office. He has

successfully negotiated in excess of $1 Billion worth of real estate transactions during his 26-year

career in office buildings. John has represented over 60 projects totaling more than 7,500,000

square feet and has executed over 5,000,000 square feet of office transactions in the past 6 years

alone. John represents institutional landlords, provides tenant representation, development,

institutional buyer due diligence consulting, and disposition services.

Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, John was Senior Vice President of Voit Real Estate Services

in Irvine. He also established Trammell Crow’s office in Orange County, where John was quickly

promoted from Vice President to Senior Vice President to Principal. While at Trammell Crow, John

oversaw the ground-up development of over 1,000,000 square feet of office space.

Richard (“Rick”) Lamprecht has been a leader of apartment development in the top California markets for the majority of his career. Rick currently has partnered with a number of other industry professionals to pursue development of institutional level multi-family properties. In the period since 2013, Rick has been a partner in the sponsoring entities that have developed almost 2,000 units in California and Utah.

Prior to 2013, Rick was Executive Vice President, Western Investments for Archstone, a national owner and developer of multifamily properties. Rick was responsible for all apartment development in the western United States until Archstone’s buyout. The majority of Rick’s career was spent at The Irvine Company, one of the leading master planning and development companies in the nation, where – for more than two decades – he was responsible for all apartment development activities. Under Rick’s leadership, the apartment development group was successful in entitling and developing approximately 27,000 apartment units in more than 50 properties in nine California jurisdictions in Orange, San Diego, Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

Rick has a Masters Degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University and began his professional career as a CPA for Deloitte, Haskins & Sells in 1984.

Tony brings more than 20 years’ experience to his current role, overseeing design development, proforma construction budgets and construction planning, and management of the company’s multi-family assets throughout California. Prior to merging with TCR, Tony served as Partner and Vice President of Construction for GLJ Partners and GLJ Builders West, LP, managing the development and construction of nearly 1,000 mixed-use and multi-family units valued at $288 million. Formerly, Tony managed the development and construction of more than 1,000 senior apartment units for FountainGlen Properties, and Pacific Gulf Properties’ development and new construction of 845,000 sq. ft. of office and industrial properties valued at $58 million. Tony holds a degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech. A licensed California contractor and real estate salesperson, Tony is a member of the American Institute of Architects, US Green Building Council, California Building Industry Association and National Association of Home Builders. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Chapter of the BIA.

Mark Besharaty

Mark Besharaty serves as Director in the Small Balance CRE Lending Group at the Hunt

Mortgage Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hunt Companies. Mr. Besharaty leads

a team of originators and analysts in the Western region of the United States. He and his

team are responsible for the origination of small balance loans for commercial real estate

and multifamily housing.

Mr. Besharaty has over 20 years of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining

the Hunt Mortgage Group in 2015, he served as vice president in the commercial

mortgage operations division with MUFG Union Bank. While at Union Bank he led

teams that successfully implemented multiple projects in addition to growing production

volumes and being recognized as one of the top producers for the group. Before Union

Bank, he served as managing director with Almas Capital in Dubai, where he oversaw

construction financing for major development projects throughout the region. Prior to that,

he served as vice president with Jackson Federal Bank where he was responsible for

commercial real estate originations and received three annual awards given to the top

producers at the bank.

Active in the community, Mr. Besharaty serves as chairman for the Commercial Lenders

Association. Mr. Besharaty received his bachelor’s degree from the University of

Massachusetts, Amherst, and holds an MBA degree from The Wharton School at the

University of Pennsylvania.

Stephen Anderson

Stephen Anderson joined CityView in 2014 and is responsible for identifying new acquisition and development opportunities. He has 11 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, entitlements and development. Prior to joining CityView, Anderson worked at the Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles for five years where he managed the approval and financing for more than 1,000 units of market and affordable housing across Los Angeles. Prior to that, he worked at Macerich leading the financing, entitlement and expansion of the firm’s regional mall portfolio. Anderson also worked for Tishman Speyer on acquisitions and development in San Francisco. He has a Bachelor of Science in Planning and Development, Minor in Architecture and a Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.

Steven Natale

Steven Natale, vice president, is responsible for originating market rate and affordable multifamily loans throughout the United States. Since joining Walker & Dunlop’s Multifamily Finance team in 2014, Mr. Natale has been directly involved in the origination of more than 60 loans with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac totaling in excess of $940 million.

Mr. Natale began his career at CWCapital in 2009 as a member of the asset management department and in 2011 was involved in the acquisition of Mortgage Servicing Rights on a $2.6 billion portfolio of performing multifamily loans. During his tenure at CWCapital, Mr. Natale also served as portfolio manager for a $1.5 billion loan pool of multifamily and commercial properties located nationwide with primary responsibilities of relationship management and portfolio retention.

Mr. Natale received his bachelor’s degree in corporate finance and accounting and a master’s degree in finance from Bentley University. Beyond the company, Mr. Natale is a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC).

Jeff Rowerdink has been involved with every aspect of large multifamily properties for over 30 years. He joined Berkadia in November 2015 as an expert in Institutional Sales. Previously, Jeff handled all acquisitions/dispositions with Essex Property Trust in Southern California for 15 years.

Jeff has controlled the transaction of over $4.5 billion and 15,000 multifamily units. He is a nationally recognized speaker on multifamily, with previous appearances at NMHC, ULI, UCI School of Business. He has personally owned and managed multifamily properties in San Diego, Phoenix, Atlanta and Texas.

Mollie is a leading strategist with a career spanning 25+ years as a builder, developer, and consultant in the residential real estate industry. Her experience includes conducting market studies throughout the country, land acquisition strategies, business planning for future growth, competitive product research, and even tactical marketing planning and design. Most notably, she has been a thought leader with consumer insights and product research throughout the nation. Since 2011, Mollie led one of the largest consumer survey efforts for the new home building industry with 10,000 to 20,000+ home shoppers. The survey effort revealed what consumers value and what they will pay for in their next community and home.

Prior to joining Meyers Research, Mollie was a Principal with John Burns Real Estate Consulting for almost 10 years. In addition, Mollie served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Lennar and Kovach Marketing, Regional Vice President of Strategic Marketing for Pulte Homes/Del Webb for the California Region, and Vice President of Residential Product Planning for The Irvine Company.
