Chris Fraley is Chief Investment Officer for RealtyMogul, overseeing underwriting, closing and asset management for the firm’s debt and equity investments. Chris has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, including sourcing transactions and negotiating complex joint venture equity partnerships.

Prior to joining RealtyMogul, Chris was a Partner of Rockwood Capital, a privately held real estate investment and advisory firm managing more than $8.3 billion of equity commitments from investors. From 1999 through 2011, Chris was responsible for acquisitions and asset management on the East Coast Chris served on the Investment Committees of multiple funds, and was member of the Research and Strategy Committee and of the Management Committee.

Chris is also an Advisor to Forge Development Partners, a San Francisco based affordable housing developer with $500M under development. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Brookwood Group and an Advisor to RealBlocks.

Chris remains an active voice in the LGBTQ community, having previously served as Vice Chair the Board of Directors of StartOut, as well as the Board of GLAAD.

Kenneth Weissenberg is a Tax Partner and Co-Partner-in-Charge of the Real Estate Services Group. His extensive experience encompasses all aspects of the real estate industry, ranging from developing tax saving strategies for owning and operating property to structuring and negotiating complex sales, acquisitions, and financing transactions. Ken has been involved in over $50 billion of real estate transactions over the last 30 years. Providing expert insight from both the legal and business perspectives, Ken consults with a variety of public and private REITs on tax planning and compliance issues ,including REIT formations, property contributions, and mergers and acquisitions. He serves a diverse client base that includes privately held and publicly traded real estate companies as well as prominent hotel and hospitality entities and world-renowned restaurants. Ken has also served as an expert witness and arbitrator in a number of complex litigations involving real estate issues. He represents the owners of some of the most well-known properties in New York City. For more than 20 years, Ken has also been a leader in developing tax and advisory services for same-sex couples and families. He serves as the National Leader of the LGBT and Alternative Family Services Group. He assists with tax issues facing high net worth individuals, trust and estate planning and the impact of tax laws effecting both LGBT couples and the businesses where they work. Additionally, Ken is a frequent writer and speaker on topics for various professional groups and news organizations.

As a Director of the Crow Holdings Capital Investor Coverage team, Chris Rice-Shepherd’s responsibilities include capital formation, business development and strategic initiatives across the investment management business.

Chris began his career in the investment banking division of PaineWebber, where, as an analyst in the firm’s real estate group, he underwrote debt and equity issuances on behalf of REITs and other real estate operating companies. From 2002 to 2012, Chris served in a number of real estate acquisition and asset management roles in the fund management business of CIM, and later with Stockbridge Capital Group. Key responsibilities with CIM and Stockbridge included business plan development, property due diligence, and asset management for retail, residential, office, hotel and mixed-use assets. From 2012 to 2018, Chris was a Managing Director at Cliffwater, LLC, where he led the firm’s real estate investment advisory practice. In this role, he oversaw all private real estate investments globally for pension fund, foundation and endowment clients, including strategic and tactical allocations, manager selection and portfolio monitoring. Most recently, Chris served as a Managing Director at Wafra, Inc. where he was focused on the firm’s business development efforts.

Chris received a B.A. in economics from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles, where he was a Toigo Fellow.

Andrea Himmel

Andrea Himmel serves as Principal and Chief Investment Officer at leading Manhattan-based commercial real estate owner/developer Himmel + Meringoff Properties. In this key role, Andrea is working to expand the company’s $2 billion NYC portfolio of Outer Borough industrial warehouses and secondary office buildings in Manhattan. Prior to joining Himmel + Meringoff in 2018, Andrea held a number of key positions with several well-known commercial real estate firms, including Brookfield Properties.

As a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s esteemed Wharton School, Andrea earned her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Real Estate Finance. During her tenure at Wharton, she was also chosen to be part of the Joseph Wharton Scholar Honors Program.

Himmel + Meringoff Properties is a privately held New York real estate investment company with a commitment to the long-term ownership and hands-on operation and management of one of the largest privately-owned portfolios of secondary office buildings in Manhattan and a growing portfolio of industrial warehouses located in the boroughs of New York City. The company acquires opportunistic commercial real estate properties with significant value-add potential.
