Suzen L. Heeley is the Executive Director, Design+Construction at Memorial Sloan Kettering

Cancer Center (MSK), where she is responsible for leading design and construction within an

ongoing $6+ billion capital program. This program encompasses both new construction and

renovation projects across more than 30 locations in the New York tri-state area, advancing MSK’s

mission of ending cancer for life.

With a background in architectural/design consulting, as well as experience as an Owner's

representative, Suzen brings extensive expertise in innovative healthcare, environmental, interior,

and exhibit design. She has collaborated with Fortune 500 corporations and leading healthcare

organizations, delivering projects emphasizing functionality, sustainability, and human-centered

design.

Suzen’s work has earned her honors, including awards from The Center for Health Design, the

International Interior Design Association (IIDA), Pioneering Women and the Contract Healthcare

Environment Awards. She was also recognized with Interior Design Magazine’s Best of Year in

Healthcare and as an inaugural recipient of the Women in Design award. A passionate advocate

for future-facing healthcare design, Suzen has served on The Center for Health Design’s

Environmental Standards Council and frequently speaks at national conferences to promote the

importance of healthcare design and its impact on the human experience. She is also an active

member of several boards, including the Editorial Advisory Board for Healthcare Design

Magazine, the Women in Healthcare NY Metro Advisory Board, the Association of Medical Facility

Professionals Greater NY Advisory Board and its Podcast Committee. Additionally, she serves

on the Advisory Board for the NY School of Interior Design’s Master of Professional Studies in

Design of Healthcare Environments. As a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED

Accredited Professional, Suzen promotes sustainable, environmentally responsible design. Her

commitment to the intersection of health and the built environment has contributed to MSK’s

achievement of numerous USGBC LEED-certified buildings.

Jeffrey Berman, AIA, ACHA specializes in planning, programming and design of healthcare and

research facilities. In 35 years of practice in hospitals, he has honed a unique understanding of

the science, medicine and process that grounds optimal design of these facilities.

Since founding Jeffrey Berman Architect in 1988, Mr. Berman has been on the leading edge of

healthcare design, programming, planning, and designing facilities for the major healthcare

institutions throughout the New York area. These include Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer

Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital (8 campuses) , Mount Sinai Health System, NYU

Langone Health, New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, SUNY Downstate, Northwell

Health, Valley Health and White Plains Hospital. He has also designed numerous hospital-owned

and private ambulatory care facilities. Mr. Berman has published articles on designing

interventional environments and imaging and visualization in the modern operating room.

Mr. Berman received a Bachelor of Science in Art & Design, Architecture, at the Massachusetts

Institute of Technology, 1980.

Steve Wagman joined Siemens Smart Infrastructure in 2016, as the National Healthcare

Business Leader for the healthcare vertical market in North America. This followed a brief

retirement, after concluding a 33-year career with Siemens Medical Solutions in 2015, serving as

a vice president within the division and as chair of its Diversity and Inclusion Council, a nationally

recognized Top 25 Council.

Over the course of his career, Steve has led national organizations in healthcare information

technology, revenue cycle, strategic consulting, global services, medical imaging, design &

construction services, building performance & sustainability, energy performance services, smart

healthcare buildings, and program management for Siemens One strategic healthcare alliances.

Steve represented the U.S. Healthcare division in the global Project Management at Siemens

forum, collaborating with international colleagues in the delivery of products and services to

customers globally. He also served as the Siemens USA corporate relationship executive to

Penn State University from 2007-2015; as Siemens developed a strategic alliance relationship.

Steve is a 1982 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Health

Planning/Policy & Administration (HPA). Steve is a member of the Board for the Penn State

Health System, serving on the Finance, Quality, Corporate Governance, and Audit & Compliance

Committees for the seven-hospital system. He recently completed two terms (2019-2024) as a

Penn State University Trustee, which includes a College of Medicine; and was a member of the

Board of Trustees Executive Committee; and a Director for The Corporation for Penn State.

He is a past president (2019-2021), and member of the Executive Board (2013-2021), for the

173,000 member Penn State Alumni Association and chair of its DE&I Committee; a past

Executive Board member of the College of Health & Human Development Alumni Society;

Advisory Board member for the National Science Foundation Center for Health Organization

Transformation; and served as the chair (2014-2022) for the Corporate Engagement Advisory

Committee for the $2.2B capital campaign. Steve is also a student mentor and guest lecturer and

is a past president for the HPA Affiliate Program Group. Steve is an alumni admissions volunteer

for Penn State and served as a member of the Industry Advisory Board at Penn State Abington

for the Division of Social Sciences and Business.

Steve completed coursework in the MHA program at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member

of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE); the American Society of Healthcare

Engineering (ASHE); the Association of ERGs & Diversity Councils and has previously served on

the Customer Advisory Board for ModSpace/MedBuild Corporation, the Industry Advisory Boards

for Live It Business Development and Education Management Solutions, LLC (acquired by

Collegis, LLC in 2020). Steve also serves as a volunteer with Special Olympics.

Tasha has more than 20 years of experience in business development, marketing, strategic planning, and brand management. She utilizes her experience by providing support and advisory services to existing and future clients. Her knowledge of real estate, skill in forging partnerships, and experience in marketing and branding make her an invaluable asset to Neoscape. She has managed the corporate brand identity for a portfolio of over 60 properties and 20 million square feet, and also oversaw the execution of property marketing, communications and public relations strategy for these properties.

Since joining Atkins Companies in 2012, Cory has been involved with the development, investment, financing, and property management of the expanding portfolio of properties. He is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of New Jersey. Cory earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in real estate and risk management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison's School of Business.

As Managing Director – Buildings, Jenny Freeman is responsible for leading the growth and technical direction of the firm’s market comprising the healthcare, life sciences, higher ed, cultural, corporate/commercial, and government sectors. Possessing more than 30 years of professional experience, she is known throughout the industry as a builder with expertise in pre-construction, planning, and construction of major overbuild, modernization, renovation, and ground-up new construction projects. In recent years, her work has primarily been concentrated in the healthcare sector, where she has led more than 60 projects for many of the NY area and the nation’s premier healthcare organizations, including Northwell Health, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, NYU Langone Health, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and the Mount Sinai Health System. Ms. Freeman is an active industry leader and serves on the Board of Professional Women in Construction.

Jonathan C. Hernandez has designed new construction work

as well as renovations and rehabilitations. He is the lead

partner of the GMS Hospitals and Healthcare initiative.

Jonathan’s projects include the infrastructure and facility

upgrades at Lenox Hill Hospital and MEETH on the Upper

East Side, a new Central Utility Plant and Mother Baby

Hospital Wing at Staten Island University Hospital and

repurposing of existing big box retail space into new

Medical Facilities. Recently completed projects include a

new orthopedic practice in Tarrytown New York, a new

Ambulatory Care Facility in Union Turnpike, Queens and a

new Orthopedic – PT Facility in Scarsdale NY.

Jonathan is the President of the Structural Engineers

Association of New York (SEAoNY) and is a past member of

the Board of Directors of the National Council of Structural

Engineers Associations (NCSEA). He is certified by the

Structural Engineering Certification Board (SECB), and a

member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), CoreNet

Global, The Architectural League of New York, the American

Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and SEAoNY.

John brings over 20 years of executive corporate real estate management expertise, with a strong track record of building successful strategies for clients in complex real estate environments. As the VP of Business Development at Shaw Industries, John works closely with strategic financial equity clients to develop long-term strategies that address capital renewal needs across intricate portfolios. His ability to navigate the complexities of healthcare and senior living real estate, combined with a focus on cost management, sustainability, and operational efficiency, ensures tailored solutions that meet both client objectives and market demands.

John’s extensive experience includes leadership roles at CBRE, where he gained global expertise across multiple industry sectors, Terwilliger Plaza as the VP Operations for 1,000+ resident community and skilled nursing facility, and Oregon Health Sciences University, where he managed over 3 million square feet of complex academic and research facilities and infrastructure. His diverse background also encompasses manufacturing, product development, and hospitality, all of which inform his unique approach to real estate strategy. This breadth of experience is built on the foundation of being a noncommissioned officer in the US Army as a decorated combat medic and trauma nurse deployed to multiple combat zones. This enables John to deliver creative, people-first solutions that drive lasting business results.

Beyond his professional achievements, John enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest and traveling the globe with his wife, Dyann, savoring food and wine from around the world.

Michael is an architect and designer for the healthcare practice at EwingCole. He has collaborated on projects of varying scales and typologies, including outpatient centers, hospital redevelopment, and master planning. He is a well-versed designer who works closely with clients and project teams to achieve their design and conceptual goals, while also paying close attention to details that make a building an exceptional experience. Michael’s interest in design and problem solving afford him the ability to develop inventive solutions that are unique to each of his projects. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Catholic University and a Masters in Architecture from Pratt Institute.

Raymond is a Principal at BR+A and brings over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry to the table. His foundations as a licensed electrical contractor show through on every project that he is involved with. He brings a very practical approach to his designs. He has led his team to help make numerous prestigious projects in healthcare, higher education, commercial, and mission critical a success. Raymond received his Bachelor of Engineering from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art. In addition, Ray is a registered professional electrical engineer, as well as a LEED Accredited Professional.

Dan Paesano is a seasoned project manager for JLL’s PDS Division leading the Healthcare Practice in the New York Tristate region. Dan drives process and project controls to deliver value. He pursues value engineering opportunities to provide savings and takes a detailed approach to procurement to mitigate change orders downstream. Strategic planning , execution of the agreed plan, and a constant drive to improve the patient experience, are hallmarks of Dan’s ability to manage complex and demanding healthcare project assignments.

Patrick O’Sullivan is a partner in Herrick's Real Estate Department where he represents owners, developers, investors, governmental entities and not-for-profit institutions on a range of real estate matters with a focus on development issues, particularly those that arise in public-private transactions. He has represented clients on a range of complex transactions for properties across the U.S., including acquisitions and dispositions, large-scale developments, joint ventures, construction projects, ground leases, and public and private financings. Patrick also navigates clients through the multi-step process of applying for and utilizing tax incentive programs at the local and federal level. He advises clients on the tax incentives available for investors in Qualified Opportunity Zones and on how to structure those investments given the evolving regulatory framework. Patrick is a former Executive Vice President and Head of the Real Estate Transactions Group at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. While at NYCEDC, Patrick worked with leading real estate developers to successfully executing complex public-private transactions throughout the City.

Dr. Mark Bowen is a renowned surgeon, scientist, and educator helping to shape a next generation showcase for the world's #1 in orthopedics at the corner of 80th Street and First Avenue. He served as Head Team Physician for the Chicago Bears for more than 30 years (1992-2024) and for the Chicago Blackhawks (1997-2005) and Chicago Cubs (1991-1992). Dr. Bowen has also held faculty and leadership positions at Northwestern University Medical School and University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. In his current capacity Dr Bowen develops novel programs, clinical platforms and strategic opportunities that enhance patient care, expand partnerships, and strengthen HSS's position as the global leader in musculoskeletal health.

Jonathan Fanuzzi joined Newmark’s New York City office in 2022 as an Executive

Managing Director, providing both agency leasing and tenant representation services

for a wide range of asset classes and industries. He rejoins Newmark as one of the

senior members of, President of New York Tri-State Region, David Falk’s team.

Over the course of his 24-year career, Fanuzzi has completed more than 20 million

square feet of transactions across the United States for an array of clients. Owners and

investors have entrusted Fanuzzi to lead the leasing campaigns for some of New York

City’s most prominent buildings, such as the Empire State Building, The Seagram

Building, One Liberty, 230 Park Avenue, 452 Fifth Avenue, 1166 Avenue of the

Americas and 101 Avenue of the Americas. Fanuzzi’s expertise in developing and

executing innovative leasing strategies, coupled with his strong analytical skills and

Fanuzzi returned to Newmark after a decade at JLL, where he was consistently ranked

among the firm’s top national producers and was awarded their “Top Gun” and “Gold

Achiever” designations multiple times. While at JLL, his team was involved in some of

the most transformative projects in New York City, including HSBC's 580,000-square-

foot renewal at 452 Fifth Avenue, NY Genome Center's 175,000-square-foot lease at

101 Avenue of the Americas, Syneos Health's 87,000-square-foot relocation at 200

Vesey Street and over 240,000 square
