Craig began his career as the Principal of L2R Creative in 1999, a new media and branding company. He sold the company in 2002 and joined his family business, Stuyvesant Fuel Service Corp. As a Director of Sales and Terminal Operations, Craig played a key role in Stuyvesant’s growth into the second largest distributor of heating oil and natural gas in the New York metropolitan area. In 2008, he was part of the team that strategically sold Stuyvesant to their largest competitor, The Hess Corporation.

In 2009, Craig joined The Daten Group to help leverage his expertise in buying and selling companies to grow the portfolio. One of his first endeavours was the formation of The Daten Group’s first real estate fund (CAD1). Under Craig’s direction, CAD1 focuses on purchasing and developing undervalued assets in the NY metropolitan market. In 2012, Craig received a Masters in Real Estate Development at New York University’s Shack Institute. In 1999 he graduated NYU with a BFA in Film and a minor in computer science. Craig currently resides in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.

Nicole Rabinowitsch is a Partner at Constellation Real Estate Advisors, a Brooklyn-based commercial real estate brokerage firm she founded with Partner Gabriel Saffioti. Previously Mrs. Rabinowitsch was a Director at Eastern Consolidated and specialized in the sale and acquisition of commercial properties throughout New York City with a focus on development land, conversation opportunities as well as mixed-use and retail properties in all 5 Boroughs and New Jersey. Nicole was raised in Borough Park, Brooklyn and she and her family live in Borough Park; Nicole has a photographic knowledge of New York City, is tireless and tenacious in seeking out situations and unraveling complex deals. Prior to Eastern Consolidated, Mrs. Rabinowitsch was a highly successful entrepreneur as the Founder and CEO of a high-end tile and bath business located in Lakewood, New Jersey and supplied products to many developers throughout the tristate. Nicole has a proven business track record with significant experience in sales and management and a wide range of clients. She is a licensed real estate salesperson in New York State and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.

Richard Marans has maintained a law practice for approximately 20 years. He began his legal career with the not-for-profit Housing Conservation Coordinators, eventually, by 1981, being name the organization’s executive director. From 1981 to 1986, Mr. Marans was the director of development for Flatbush Development Corporation, another not-for-profit community -based organization specializing in the management and development of affordable housing. Mr. Marans holds a law degree from Fordham Law School and an undergraduate degree from Beloit College.

Mr. Schechtman leads the Middle Market Team of Meridian Investment Sales as a Senior Executive Managing Director, overseeing a team of originators, analysts and other professionals.

Mr. Schechtman is widely recognized as one of the industry’s most visible and well-respected investment sales professionals. Trained for years at one of the world’s largest law firms, Mr. Schechtman has personally sold more than 790 deals representing more than $8 billion in his fifteen-year career to date. Recognized as an industry “Titan,” “Power Broker”, “Jack of all Trades” and one of the “25 Most Visible New York City Real Estate Players” by the Commercial Observer, The Mann Report and The Real Deal, respectively, Mr. Schechtman is regularly engaged by private families, institutions, lenders, estate lawyers and their counsel and advisors to value, market and see through to closing the sale of multifamily properties, development sites, buildings ripe for repurposing, retail condominiums and co-ops, unsold shares, and loft office and industrial buildings throughout New York City. Mr. Schechtman has also represented more than 25 lenders in the disposition of performing and defaulted notes and assets in Chapter 11, Section 363 Sales.

Prior to joining Meridian, he held the position of Principal and Executive Managing Director at Eastern Consolidated, where he was named “Broker of the Year” on multiple occasions. Prior to Eastern, Mr. Schechtman was a practicing attorney at DLA Piper in New York, where he specialized in commercial and property-related bankruptcy and litigation.

Mr. Schechtman holds a J.D. from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and a B.A. from University of Delaware. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Commercial Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York and several other boards and charities. He is a frequent guest lecturer at Columbia University, the Real Estate Board of New York and law firms throughout the tri-state area on foreclosure and bankruptcy asset sales.

Melissa Gliatta is Chief Operating Officer of Thor Equities. Ms. Gliatta works closely with Thor Equities Chairman & CEO Joseph Sitt to expand the company’s business activities. Her responsibilities include overseeing asset management, leasing, human resources, development and construction, as well as marketing and property management in major markets including London, Paris, Madrid, Milan, New York, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Washington, DC and Montreal. In 1995, Ms. Gliatta joined Thor Equities and Ashley Stewart where she played a prime role in operating and expanding the company to 380 stores in over 100 cities. In 2000, Mr. Sitt decided to divest his interest in Ashley Stewart and focus exclusively on Thor Equities. Ms. Gliatta was named Vice President of Thor in 2003, focusing on operations and management of the company’s growing commercial real estate portfolios. She was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2010 and Chief Operating Officer in 2016. Alison oversees mixed-income and market-rate developments as well as Hudson’s middle income equity fund. Under her leadership, Hudson launched its commitment to green building. Alison has overseen the acquisition, design, financing, construction, and completion of a wide range of housing developments ranging from affordable (Ocean View Villas) to high-end (House No 94), home ownership (Third + Bond) to rental (The Clark), single-family (Ocean View Villas) to high rise (The Parkline). Her goal is to ensure Hudson’s diverse team maintains the highest integrity and commitment to its guiding principles. Alison majored in Community Development at Grinnell College and earned her Master of City Planning and Master of Science in Real Estate Development, both from M.I.T. Alison was named among the “Responsible 100” by City & State in 2019. She is a Vice Chair of Women in Housing and Finance, an honor bestowed on past board presidents. Alison’s a member of the 21st cohort of Coro Leadership New York and sits on the board of The Osborne Association.

Partner and Team Leader, Dan Marks, has over a decade of commercial real estate sales and leasing experience, handling over a billion dollars’ worth of transactions since joining TerraCRG. Dan joined the firm at the start of 2012 as Vice President to grow the firms’ strong foothold in the Brooklyn commercial real estate market, with a focus on industrial and office properties.

Dan continues to grow TerraCRG’s market presence while maintaining a vast knowledge of Brooklyn’s many diverse and integral commercially-zoned enclaves. He serves Brooklyn property owners as a market expert while providing advisory and exclusive representation in the sale of all types of investment properties. Currently, Dan is the Team Leader of the firms’ leading investment sales team. Dan’s sales team is comprised of six agents and specializes in the sale of exclusively Brooklyn commercial assets, with a focus on investment sales of industrial, office and development throughout the borough. Dan has also successfully advised a number of non-profit organizations including SCO Family of Services, League Education & Treatment Center, Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow, and the Brooklyn Arts Council. Prior to joining TerraCRG, Dan was a partner at Emerald Real Estate Group, a premier commercial real estate management and brokerage firm located in Boulder, Colorado. During his seven-year practice with Emerald, Dan worked on over 1,100 commercial transactions with experience as a property manager, leasing agent, seller’s agent, buyer’s agent, landlord representative and tenant representative.

Prior to working with Emerald, Dan spent four years as a corporate sales representative in Chicago for the Tribune Company as well as Turner Broadcasting. During his time in Chicago, Dan worked on national accounts including Southwest Airlines, Best Buy, International Trucks and Miller Brewing Company.

Dan received his BA degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and holds an MBA degree from The Leeds School of Business at The University of Colorado.

Outside of the office, Dan loves spending his time in Brooklyn with his wife and two sons. He also enjoys running, tennis and watching live sporting and music events. Dan has run several marathons including New York, Chicago, Marine Corps, Boulder, Big Sur, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City. Dan is also actively involved in the community supporting a number of Brooklyn based non-profit organizations while also serving as Board Vice Chairman of Opportunities for a Better Tomorrow (OBT) and Executive Committee Board Member of the Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC).

Kai-yan LEE is the Managing Director for Vanke Holdings USA. He manages the strategic expansion of Vanke, the largest residential developer of China, into the U.S. market since 2012. Under his leadership, Vanke currently has major projects in San Francisco and New York, with a total asset value forecast to exceed ~USD 3 billion by 2016.

Prior to setting up Vanke’s US company, Kai was the Head of the Real Estate Industry at the World Economic Forum, responsible for its efforts on global real estate industry recovery and integration with a safer financial market. Before that, he was at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston for mortgage market stabilization and housing market recovery during the great financial crisis. He had spent a decade in California prior to moving to the East Coast, included serving as a Redevelopment Commissioner and working on regional infrastructure projects.

Kai obtained his B.A. summa cum laude at the University of California, Berkeley, and his graduate degrees from Harvard University and MIT. He sits on various boards of national nonprofit organizations and industry/professional associations. Kai enjoys traveling, long-distance running, architecture, modern art, and hiking.
