Kimberly Kessler is Director of Strategic Projects at Kenvue, with more than 25 years of experience in construction and program management. She has delivered large-scale projects across industrial, commercial, lab and campus environments. As a program manager, Kim combines organizational leadership with technical construction expertise and a collaborative approach that helps her projects exceed performance goals. She works closely with designers, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver best-in-class projects from end to end.

Alicia Inman is Principal, Life Sciences at Unispace, with over 20 years of design experience across complex projects, including labs and manufacturing environments. As a licensed architect, she combines technical design expertise with a practical approach to problem solving. Alicia works closely with clients and project teams to translate business, operational and design goals into spaces that work in practice, bringing a broad perspective on the decisions that shape complex life sciences environments.

Ed Jaram joined King Street at the start of 2019 to manage project execution in New York and the surrounding markets, and has nearly 20 years’ experience in construction and real estate, both in the US and the UK. Before joining King Street, he ran the in-house construction company for a Manhattan-based developer performing both ground-up and renovation projects, delivering over 1,000,000 sq ft of construction in a three-year period. Before that, he worked for 10 years for Gardiner & Theobald – one of the largest independently-held construction consultancies in the world – and delivered projects with a total value of over $1bn in London, Los Angeles and New York, for clients including the WPP Advertising group, BioMed Realty, and The Dorchester Collection hotel company.

Jose is tasked with driving expansion of HMH through identifying 

and pursuing key regional, national, and international business 

opportunities, as well as furthering development within the real 

estate and facilities footprint. 

He also leads the transformation of enterprise-wide marketing 

and communications, serving as an advocate for brand equity, 

promoting and refining brand position to help HMH thrive in an 

evolving environment 

Jose returned to HMH from Choose New Jersey in 2022 to oversee the development and implementation of external strategies that bridge the private sector with high-quality, accessible healthcare expanded into communities throughout New Jersey. 

Before leading as president and CEO for Choose New Jersey in 2018, the state’s leading not-for-profit organization facilitating economic growth, Jose was Chief of Staff and Vice President for Corporate Services and Governance at Hackensack Meridian Health. 

Prior to his initial position within the Hackensack Meridian Health leadership team, Jose served in the Obama Administration as Deputy Chief of Staff and homeland security advisor at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, leading an immediate staff of 100+ in the development and implementation of the agency’s environmental agenda domestically and abroad.

David Schwarz is an award-winning creative executive and founding partner of HUSH. HUSH specializes in designing places, spaces, and experiences that merge behavioral psychology, neuroaesthetics, digital technology, and data to achieve business objectives. Under David’s leadership, HUSH has delivered transformative projects for clients such as Barclays, Chobani, Goldman Sachs, Meta, Samsung, Uber, United Therapeutics, Visa, and beyond, in cities ranging from New York to Riyadh. His thought leadership is widely recognized, with features in publications like Forbes and Fast Company and presentations at premier events including SXSW and Cannes Lions. Tim Burke is currently Merrick’s Director of Strategic Partnerships focused on the biopharma and US Federal Markets. He recently spent 2020 to 2025 responsible for Merrick’s Life Sciences practice operations in the United Kingdom and Europe. Prior to Merrick, Tim’s built a technical and strategic knowledge base in both engineering and management consulting, and practiced leadership and program guidance as the federal Branch Chief for DHS’s Science & Technology Directorate’s Laboratory Operations. He oversaw operations and capital projects across S&T’s diverse laboratory portfolio performing RDT&E in BSL-3/BSL-4 biocontainment, physics, chemistry, and energetic environments. Tim’s career has afforded him a unique breadth of technical and leadership experiences to draw upon when novel solutions are required, from the USPS Anthrax decontamination to biotech start-ups to today’s largest research and life science facilities. Tim continues to provide strategic advisory services focused on optimizing the development, delivery, and operational performance of high-consequence RDT&E and life sciences infrastructure for industry, academic, and government clients.

Elizabeth Berthelette, CRE, serves as Head of Northeast Research & National Life Science Research. In her role, Berthelette collaborates with Research along with Capital Markets and Brokerage professionals to provide data in high concentration Life Science markets across the US.

With over 16 years of experience as a seasoned researcher and economist for commercial real estate, Berthelette oversees Life Science data pertaining to employment, the strength of local markets, supply/demand balance, new construction, build-out costs, vacancies, investment sales activity and debt financing. Additionally, beyond real estate, Berthelette provides insights on Life Science market demand drivers such as population, clinical trials, healthcare costs, manufacturing, funding and public markets.

Based in the company’s Boston, Massachusetts office, Berthelette is a frequent contributor to leading local and national industry publications and organizations such as The Business Journals, CoStar, GlobeSt and Bisnow. Joining Newmark in 2019 as Director of Research, Berthelette brings extensive experience in producing reliable data and market analyses and authoring quarterly market reports, white papers, blog posts and guest columns on relevant trends. Prior to joining Newmark, Berthelette held senior research positions at Hunneman and Colliers International.

Ben Dibling is Managing Director of the Penn Center for Innovation (PCI) at the University of Pennsylvania. Ben leads the PCI team in advancing discoveries and ideas resulting from Penn’s research towards new products, services, and/or businesses to provide benefits back to Penn, its inventors, and society. The PCI team actively facilitates a broad range of technology development connections between Penn and the commercial sector, including technology licenses, R&D alliances, sponsored research, and the formation of new ventures.

Prior to joining PCI and Penn in 2016, Ben was Senior Associate Director of Licensing at UCLA. Ben started his career in technology transfer in 2004 at UChicagoTech, the office of technology and intellectual property at the University of Chicago, and was Program Manager in Oncology at the time he moved to UCLA in 2011.

Ben holds a PhD in Clinical Medicine from the University of Leeds and a B.Med.Sc. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Birmingham. He is licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a Certified Licensing Professional (CLP). Ben is a member of AUTM, LES and prior chair of the Board of Governors for CLP.

Dr. Johnson is a passionate, hard-working, and disruptive leader that has focused his efforts solely on solving the big problems that our world faces by leading the development, translation and commercialization of paradigm-shifting technologies. Dr. Johnson is currently the President of the New Jersey Innovation Institute (NJII) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) where he oversees a team that is focused on accelerating the development of innovative technologies through leveraging the vast resources of NJIT. While a scientist by training, Dr. Johnson is a skilled commercial leader and has built and overseen every aspect of a company from technology licensing to GAAP and IFRS accounting. Dr. Johnson has been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 List as well as the NJBIZ Power 50 in Healthcare List and has received two patents in addition to multiple publications and federal/state grants.

Matthew joined Onyx Equities in 2016. He oversees implementation and execution of asset level business plans for the retail and industrial segments of the portfolio.

Prior to joining Onyx, Matthew served as Vice President at The Goldstein Group for 8 years, where he facilitated over $78 million in lease transactions, and represented over one million square feet of commercial space throughout the metro-New York market.

Matthew graduated from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science. In addition, he is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and IOREBA.

Eric leads the education and science sector at local, regional, national and global

levels. Collaborating with regional and market education and science directors,

he ensures that HDR’s practice is elevated and maintained through quality

design, innovative planning, client service and thought leadership. A licensed

architect with over 25 years of experience, Eric has focused of his career on the

science and education. His experience working alongside clients including

Novartis, Siemens, Duke University and Commonwealth Fusion Systems,

provides him with a deep understanding of the diverse and nuanced challenges

faced by our federal, corporate and academic clients
