Josh Barnett brings over 15 years of healthcare design expertise to Rendina, where he leads the Design & Development team as Senior Vice President. His experience spans a wide range of projects, from small-scale hospital renovations and tenant improvements to large, complex campus expansions and new outpatient facilities. Known for his meticulous approach and ability to manage multiple priorities, Josh earns the trust of his clients through a hands-on, solution-driven project delivery style that aligns with their missions and goals.

Before joining Rendina, Josh contributed to high-profile projects at leading architecture firms in New York City and Boston, overseeing all phases of project delivery—from initial planning and programming to final completion. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Boston Architectural College and is a licensed architect in New York and New Jersey.

In addition to his professional work, Josh is a dedicated advocate for the future of architecture. He has served in leadership roles with the American Institute of Architects, the Academy of Architecture for Health, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Josh also contributes to his local community as Vice Chair of his town’s Land Use Board, reflecting his commitment to shaping thoughtful, impactful spaces both locally and nationally.

Brian C. Cich is the Senior Vice President of Real Estate at RWJBarnabas Health. He

oversees all real estate development and asset/property management for

RWJBarnabas. Brian previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Rendina

Healthcare Real Estate and has significant experience with all phases of project

development, planning, land acquisition, zoning, permitting, development approvals,

mixed use developments, and condominium projects. Prior to working at Rendina, Brian

was a partner with a law firm where his practice included real estate law, commercial

loan and financing transactions, condominium law, land use, zoning, commercial

leasing, and development transactions. He holds a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio

State University and a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Jonathan C. Hernandez has designed new construction work

as well as renovations and rehabilitations. He is the lead

partner of the GMS Hospitals and Healthcare initiative.

Jonathan’s projects include the infrastructure and facility

upgrades at Lenox Hill Hospital and MEETH on the Upper

East Side, a new Central Utility Plant and Mother Baby

Hospital Wing at Staten Island University Hospital and

repurposing of existing big box retail space into new

Medical Facilities. Recently completed projects include a

new orthopedic practice in Tarrytown New York, a new

Ambulatory Care Facility in Union Turnpike, Queens and a

new Orthopedic – PT Facility in Scarsdale NY.

Jonathan is the President of the Structural Engineers

Association of New York (SEAoNY) and is a past member of

the Board of Directors of the National Council of Structural

Engineers Associations (NCSEA). He is certified by the

Structural Engineering Certification Board (SECB), and a

member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), CoreNet

Global, The Architectural League of New York, the American

Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and SEAoNY.

Andrew W. Lewis, AIA, is esteemed by both clients and colleagues for his exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Being a natural systems-thinker, he continually searches for the most efficient and effective way to solve a problem.

His career has been dedicated to interdisciplinary practice, working at the intersections of higher education, medical education, healthcare, the workplace, research, and simulation. He is most proud of the many clients who have entrusted him with multi-year, multi-project relationships—relationships which enable him to serve as a trusted design advisor and deliver on important projects that advance the mission and goals of the respective institution.

In his free time, he can often be found restoring his 1875 Victorian rowhouse in Philadelphia.

Having spent much of his professional career as a client representative, he has the unique ability to understand healthcare clients’ needs. He is the founding principal of his Healthcare Architecture Planning consulting firm and as a leader of consulting services, and select projects, Vincent is an advocate for professional services that are deeply responsive to client needs. Mr. Della Donna has over three decades of experience, with a healthcare focus for more than twenty-five years. He strongly believes in giving back to the healthcare community and does so through volunteering as a board member and current President of The Foundation for Health Environments Research, as a board member for Ocean Health Initiatives and as a committee chair with the AIA Academy of Architecture for Health. He maintains active membership with the American Institute of Architects, the Academy of Architecture for Health, the American Hospital Association, and speaks nationally on healthcare topics.
