Mercedes Kerr is a recognized leader in the health care industry with over 25 years of experience in the seniors housing sector. Prior to joining Belmont Village Senior Living as President in 2019, she was Executive Vice President of Business Development at Welltower Inc. where she helped to shape the trajectory of the industry through transformative transactions over a period of over 10 years. Prior to that, Ms. Kerr spent 10 years at HCP, Inc., where she was was Vice President of Acquisitions. She serves on the boards of leading national organizations dedicated to setting policy, standards and innovation in the seniors housing industry, such as NIC, Argentum and The USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology. Ms. Kerr graduated with honors from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara and holds a Master of Real Estate Development degree from the University of Southern California.

Brian Robbins has nearly 20 years of management experience in the senior living industry, along with more than 20 years of leadership skills developed and honed by serving in the U.S. Navy. As the vice president and Chief Operating Officer of Buckner Retirement Services, the largest nonprofit senior living provider in Texas, Robbins specializes in executive leadership, strategic planning, operations management, business growth and development, multi-site management, start-up, and re-positioning. Robbins also has a strong background in organizational leadership, board leadership, human resource management and financial management. Over the course of his career, Robbins supported the work of multiple Life Plan Communities in several states and helped open new communities, community repositioning, refinancing and operational improvement for existing communities. Robbins earned a bachelor's degree and a Certificate in Leadership Studies from Fort Hays State University in Kansas and a Certificate in Long-Term Adult Care Administration (Administrator-in-Training program) from Cowley College in Kansas. He also received a Certificate in Human Dimensions of Organizations from the University of Texas-Austin and is a licensed nursing home administrator in the states of Nebraska and Texas. Prior to his career in senior living, Robbins served in the U.S. Navy from 1990 to 2003 and is a veteran of both Desert Shield/Desert Storm and Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom. In addition to overseeing six Texas communities operated by Buckner, Robbins serves on the Board of Directors for LeadingAge Texas and is the chair of the LeadingAge Texas Public Policy Committee.

John Sweeny

John L. Sweeny Jr. serves as a Senior Vice President of CBRE National Senior Housing Capital

Markets and central point of contact for Investment Sales. Mr. Sweeny joined the team from Virtus

Real Estate Capital, where he served as the Managing Director of Healthcare Acquisitions for

eight years. At Virtus, Mr. Sweeny was responsible for leading the Virtus Healthcare Team in

strategy, origination, and execution of investments and operating partner relationships that meet

the Virtus investment criteria. Prior to joining Virtus, Mr. Sweeny spent seven years at Arcapita (an

international private equity firm) as Managing Director focused on originating, structuring,

executing, and managing institutional U.S. real estate investments. Prior to Arcapita, Mr. Sweeny

worked in the Real Estate Investment Banking group at Wachovia Securities in New York and

Charlotte. Since commencing his career in 1998, Mr. Sweeny has been involved in more than $3

billion of senior housing transactions.

Mr. Sweeny holds a B.S. in Political Science from the College of Charleston, where he played on

the university golf team, and an M.B.A. from The University of North Carolina (at Chapel Hill)

Kenan-Flagler Business School. He is a member of the Executive Board of American Seniors

Housing Association (ASHA). Mr. Sweeny is also a prior member of the Board of Directors of

Senior Citizens Services of Atlanta (aka Meals on Wheels Atlanta).

Peter Scialla

Peter Scialla is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Delos. Peter is responsible for executing on the strategic vision and global operations of the company with a focus on advancing the mission to drive positive health outcomes for occupants of indoor spaces around the world. He leads the commercialization of platforms and solutions that improve indoor environmental quality and enhance human health and well-being.

Prior to joining Delos, Peter had an expansive career on Wall Street spanning over 18 years, including as a Partner for Goldman Sachs where he led U.S. Equity Derivatives Trading. During his eight years at Goldman Sachs, Peter worked closely with leadership in distribution, investment banking, private wealth, and capital markets with an emphasis on both institutional trading and structured corporate repurchase. Peter also spent seven years at Morgan Stanley as Head of Single Stock Derivatives Trading.

Peter regularly speaks at industry events and contributes informative content across multiple channels to share scientific research, trends and advancements in wellness real estate, and to help advance the healthy buildings movement. He is a graduate of New York University with degrees in Finance and International Business.
