Why You Should Attend This Event

Why This Matters:

Over the past several years, Durham has seen a flurry of fresh CRE investment activity as the Triangle region as a whole continues to grow. The downtown area in particularly has seen a major skyline shift as development tangibly changes the experience for the areas residents and corporate tenants. The market faces challenges that are mirrored throughout the region, including a large supply of life sciences deliveries, office vacancies, and fresh questions about residential affordability. Despite these headwinds, the building industry is pressing forward. Furthermore, there has been a great deal of municipal support, particularly as it pertains to rezoning to facilitate residential investment.

This event will touch on the types of projects and investments that are set to continue changing the face of the Bull City, the strengths the market possesses, why it is preferred by the CRE community, and how the market is poised to overcome challenges that could limit its continued growth.

Join us as we cover the most pressing issues in the area's real estate landscape to better equip you in your search for deals.

What You'll Learn:

  • What has precipitated the rush of commercial real estate activity in the Bull City specifically?

  • How is Downtown Durham continuing to evolve and does it have continued capacity to absorb?

  • How is the city supporting additional investment of all types, and how can developers benefit?

  • Why is outside investment targeting Durham within the larger Triangle region?

  • With affordability concerns already present, what residential opportunity exists within the submarket?

  • What is the long term outlook and confidence in Durham as a market to produce returns for investors?
