Prior to co-founding DB Capital Management, Mr. Brennen Degner was COO and Director of Asset Management for MJW Investments, Inc. where he oversaw the operation and management of a diversified portfolio valued in excess of $750 million. He has broad experience in the acquisition and re-positioning of underperforming projects in student housing and multifamily investments. Mr. Degner is a graduate of the prestigious Dollinger Master of Real Estate Development program at the University of Southern California, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona, and has received a certificate in Real Estate Investments from The University of California, Los Angeles.

Zach Haptonstall was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Rise48 Equity and Rise48 Communities. Zach’s main responsibilities as CEO include overseeing all acquisitions, sourcing capital, and building strategic partnerships. He resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife Grace Haptonstall.

He Founded ZH Multifamily in 2018 and grew his portfolio to $35M. ZH Multifamily founded the organization, The Phoenix Multifamily Association “PMA” where Zach hosted 200+ members and held monthly speaking and networking events. In order to scale and add experts to the team, he retired ZH Multifamily and PMA in 2020 and Co-Founded Rise48 Equity.

Zach’s professional background includes Healthcare Sales and Administration. He is the former President and Co-Owner of a Hospice Organization in Phoenix with 110+ Employees and $9M+ Annual Revenue. He is also a former live television news anchor and sports reporter for Arizona PBS and co-hosted a show on Fox Sports Network Arizona.

Zach holds a Master of Business Administration from the Colangelo College of Business at Grand Canyon University, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. He attended Colorado Mesa University on a football Scholarship his Freshman Year of College.

Cole Kellogg is FCP's regional head of Texas and is responsible for the firm’s multifamily investments throughout the state. He specializes in underwriting core, core+, and value-add acquisitions, ground-up development and structured finance opportunities. Prior to joining FCP in 2016, Cole worked in the Asset Management group of J.P. Morgan Chase. He graduated with a BA from Vanderbilt University in 2013.

Greg is primarily responsible for sourcing, structuring and closing

debt and preferred equity investments across all real estate asset

classes for Stonehill CRE. Before joining Stonehill, he was an executive director at Ardent Companies, focusing on debt origination in all asset classes. Before that, Greg was a senior vice president at Newport RE, a German- based real estate investment company focusing on acquisitions and asset management for its U.S. portfolio. Previously, he was a vice president at Rialto Capital, where he helped underwrite and asset- manage loan portfolios. Before joining Rialto, Greg worked at TriMont Real Estate Advisors facilitating loan workouts and maximizing returns on distressed assets. Greg holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut, majoring in Real Estate and Urban Economics.

Mr. Sowden has over 37 years of experience in commercial real estate with a strong background in real estate brokerage and mortgage banking, acquisition, development, and asset management. He has been active in sales of more than 20 million square feet of commercial real estate and over 50,000 apartment units throughout the United States.

Mr. Sowden has also been involved in the financing of over $8 Billion in commercial real estate loans. He has brokered the sale of over $10 billion in commercial real estate transactions on behalf of some of the largest institutional owners in the United States. Mr. Sowden has acquired, developed, and renovated over 5 billion in commercial real estate to include retail, office, multi-family, and hospitality throughout the Southwestern and the Southeastern United States.

Mr. Sowden is responsible for the overall direction of RREAF Holdings and RREAF’s subsidiary companies including strategic planning for all growth areas of the Company to include but not be limited to, its development, acquisitions, property, and asset management programs as well as the development and implementation of commercial real estate funds.

Mr. Sowden graduated in 1985 with a degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Sowden served more than 10 years on The Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee at The University of Texas at Austin. He has maintained an active Texas Real Estate Brokers License for the past 39 years

Joel Behrens serves as Managing Director within TCC’s Dallas-Fort Worth office and of High Street Residential, TCC’s wholly-owned subsidiary specializing in the development of multifamily housing. In his role, he is responsible for the origination, financing, joint venture structuring, and execution of multi-family investments in Texas. During his tenure at TCC, Joel has executed on 7.1 million square feet of office, multifamily and mixed-use development projects with a total capitalized value of 2.0 billion totaling over 4,700 units. Joel began his career with TCC in 2008 as an Associate in the Houston office, focusing on office development. From 2009-2010, Joel served as an Asset Manager in Dallas, assisting with the investment committee process and oversight of TCC’s development projects. In 2010, Joel joined the Dallas-Fort Worth office as a Vice President where he assisted in the under writing and marketing of office, industrial and multifamily projects. In 2012, Joel took over the leadership of the Dallas-Fort Worth High Street Residential team.

Angela is a Senior Managing Director in the Dallas office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas, focusing on Affordable Multihousing. She joined JLL in February 2022 as a strategic leader to grow this important market segment.

Prior to joining JLL, Angela was with Fannie Mae for 17 years where most recently she served as Senior Director of Affordable Housing and led the team to successive

record-breaking production volumes. In this position, she determined production

strategy and managed deliveries from Fannie Mae’s nationwide network of lenders.

Her team focused on properties with recorded rent and/or income restrictions or other affordability characteristics.

Before joining Fannie Mae in 2004, Angela worked for Bank of America, providing

construction financing for affordable multifamily properties. She also worked for

AIG/SunAmerica Affordable Housing Partners structuring equity investments in Low

Income Housing Tax Credit properties.

Angela was recognized by Affordable Housing Finance as an industry catalyst and

was named one of AHF’s 2016 Young Leaders. She has served on the board of the

Central Arlington Housing Development Corporation and as an officer on the board of the North Texas Housing Coalition.

Nikhil is the Developer at The BLVD Group and is responsible for the design, development and construction of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects. He oversees and directly manages the development team and other partners to ensure the overall execution and delivery of projects. Prior to this role, Nikhil served as BLVD’s Director of Asset Management for 5 years where he oversaw all aspects of the department including operations, asset preservation, compliance, and profitability of the affordable portfolio.

Prior to joining BLVD, Nikhil served as an Asset Manager for over 6 years at a leading owner/operator based in Los Angeles with a focus on multi-family value add opportunities. Nikhil managed a portfolio of over 5000 units nationwide. His responsibilities included day to day operations, revenue and expense management, oversight of capital renovations and the overall profitability of the portfolio. Nikhil received a degree from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.

Zach Sams joined Kensington Vanguard in November of 2016 after serving as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Fidelity National Title’s Dallas/Fort Worth division from 2012-2016. Zach is focused on expanding KV’s footprint in the D/FW, Texas, Arizona and National markets. From selling real estate for to business development roles at prominent local and national title insurance companies, Zach has been active in the in the real estate market since 2005.

Prior to the title industry, Zach attended The Golf Academy of America in San Diego, then spent two years playing professional golf on various mini tours in Southern California. Zach is a Veteran of the US Army. Zach lives in Argyle, TX with his wife Amber and their two boys 11&13. In his free time Zach enjoys playing competitive amateur golf and traveling with his wife and kids.

Melanie is a seasoned and well recognized expert in multi-family management, strategic planning, human capital, organizational development, and executive leadership. Her diverse and impressive background includes having held executive level positions for more than 16 years with leading public and privately owned industry game changers including Cortland, AIMCO and DLP Capital.

Stepping into the role as RREAF Residential’s first Chief Executive Officer, she is responsible for all operational aspects of the organization. Focused on scaling and substantially growing the size of the business, Melanie understands that the desired growth is only possible by hiring and developing top talent to ensure the more than 30,000 residents living on RREAF managed communities are happily nesting and enjoying their rental homes each day.

Prior to joining RREAF Residential, Melanie held the position of Managing Principal and President for DLP Capital’s real estate management arm where she was a member of the investment committee in addition to having full responsibility for building and leading property management, asset management, construction redevelopment, sales, marketing, and due diligence for more than 20,000 units.

Melanie is proud of the growth and property management platform that she helped to build during her almost 6 years at Cortland where she was the Executive Vice President responsible for all aspects of property management and performance where she grew the management platform from 9,000 units to more than 50,000 units while also overseeing the completion of more than 45,000 interior and exterior unit renovations on billions of dollars in real estate.

AIMCO was Melanie’s work home for more than 13 years where she began as an RVP responsible for more than 18,000 units in 5 states, before being promoted to EVP of Learning & Organization for the entire organization of several thousand employees and more than 200,000 apartment homes spanning the nation.

For more than 15 years, Melanie has held designations and certifications as an IREM CPM (Certified Property Manager), SPHR (Senior Professional of Human Resources and a Master Trainer & Facilitator certified by DDI. She has regularly participated as a speaker, panelist and contributor to numerous industry events, articles, and conferences.

Melanie developed her passion for operating communities, learning the intimate importance and details of ensuring that apartments become true long term “homes” to residents from her early years of working as a leasing consultant. She is known and appreciated by all who have worked for her or with her as a partner who develops future all-star leaders, by offering guidance and leadership as a passionate, detail oriented, gritty but approachable leader.

Melanie understands that the key to success is hiring dynamic team members and she enjoys celebrating the teams that make success possible. Melanie and her husband of more than 35 years enjoy spending time boating, fishing, and playing with their grandchildren.

Joanne Broadway is managing director of real estate for Greystar, and oversees the management operations for the Central North/Dallas region that includes Dallas/Fort Worth and Oklahoma. Her responsibilities include leading a team of directors and regional managers, monitoring property performance and developing specific strategies to ensure owner goals and objectives are achieved. Joanne has been active in the multifamily industry since 1994, and joined Greystar through the JPI acquisition in 2008. Joanne’s experience includes predevelopment, new construction lease ups, high-rise, mid-rise, garden, senior living, renovations, and mixed-use projects, resulting in a wide range of knowledge on all aspects of property management. A skilled coach and mentor, Joanne served as a regional trainer role and was promoted to director of people development during her tenure at JPI, fostering teamwork throughout her portfolio that extended to her clients. She was honored with the Greystar Pillar of Excellence Award for outstanding achievement in Operational Excellence in 2009. Joanne earned her bachelor of arts and sciences degree from the University of North Texas.

Ryan brings over a decade of experience in operations, business development, and clean

energy. As Chargie’s Vice President of Sales Operations, he oversees the team that supports our

business development staff in providing exceptional service to our existing and prospective

clients. In this role, he is a subject matter expert in EV trends, utility programs, and what it

takes to build world-class charging infrastructure. Prior to joining Chargie, Ryan served as the

VP of Business Operations and Program Management at PCS Energy, the largest installer of

commercial solar systems in Los Angeles. Ryan holds a degree in Business Management from

the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts – Amherst.

Nitesh Gandhi is the Founder and CEO of Locale, a hospitality company that designs, brands, and manages furnished apartments and aparthotels for the modern traveler and renter. Previously, he was an asset manager for the Chartres Lodging Group, where he oversaw a $2B portfolio of branded and independent hotels. Before entering hospitality, Gandhi was a management consultant at Marakon, a boutique strategy consultancy based in New York. He is a graduate of Northwestern University and holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Dave Dexter is the Vice President of Multifamily for Luxer One. In the course of Dave’s career in Multi-Family, Dave has served on the board of directors of FCAA, SCAA, SEFAA and as a delegate to FAA, and is a current member of the NAA Technology committee. Dave regularly participates in NAA advocate and FAA Legislative days.

Beth serves as Manager of Business Development for Centric Infrastructure Group. She is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing on growth opportunities with existing and new partners. Beth is local to the Dallas–Fort Worth area and works alongside the rest of the Business Development Team to ensure the Company continues to expand the provision of safe, reliable, and economical end-user services to rapidly growing markets across the State of Texas, with a focus on the Fiber side of the business in Multi-Family projects. Prior to joining Centric Infrastructure Group, Beth spent eight years in Houston working in the financial services industry. She served as Corporate Banker for a publicly traded Texas-based bank, where she managed a multimillion-dollar portfolio through new and existing client growth. Following her six-year tenure as a Commercial and Industrial Lender, she spent two years as a fully licensed Wealth Manager for a national firm. Since that time, Beth moved back to her hometown of Dallas where she and her husband currently reside. Beth holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Investment Banking and Corporate Finance from The University of Texas at Austin.

Kenny Wolfe is an experienced multifamily syndicator, the founder and CEO of Wolfe Investments, and published author of “Investing in the Dream: How to Acquire Multifamily Real Estate and Attain Total Financial Freedom”. He invested in his first multifamily property in 2010 and instantly saw the potential for real estate to transform his life – giving him the opportunity to quit his day job and start a company. Kenny is passionate about helping others attain financial freedom through real estate investing. He believes in the power of passive income (making money while you sleep) and encourages others to think beyond traditional investments to grow their wealth. Kenny has grown Wolfe Investments to over $715 million worth of commercial real estate under management nationwide. He has been a principal in 9,000+ multifamily units, $500MM worth of multifamily development, and 60 NNN/NN assets. Jennifer Picquet-Reyes began her career in 2000 and has managed projects in a wide variety of sectors which involve new construction, renovation processes, restoration as well as LEED certification. As a team leader, Mrs. Picquet-Reyes collaborates with our clients and consultants to coordinate all parts and phases of a project, from the early stages of programming, planning and schematic design through construction documents, construction administration and project closeout, and delivers a thorough, well designed and sustainable building.

Jennifer is currently working on several hotel projects, including the adaptive reuse of multiple historic buildings. Dallas/Fort Worth renovation experience includes the Butler Brothers Building, Allen Building, Mercantile Commerce Building, 211 N Ervay in Dallas and the Sinclair and Sanger Buildings in Fort Worth. Current Historic tax credit projects include the Gospel Lighthouse Church conversion to a Dream Center, The El Tropicano Hotel in San Antonio, as well as several other projects in various cities. Renovation experience outside Texas includes the First National Bank building in Oklahoma City, which includes residential and an Autograph by Marriott. Jennifer is also working on the Jefferson Building in St. Louis, which is being renovated into residential and an AC Hotel by Marriott. Jennifer’s new construction multi-family and hotel recent projects include A 2o acre mixed use development in Fredericksburg, TX, 3111 Sunset on Lake Grapevine, Springs Ranch in Colorado Springs, CO, the Galleries at Park Lane in Dallas, Amelia Farmer’s Market Residential in Dallas, The AC/Moxy Dual Brand in Uptown, AC by Marriott Hotel in Fort Worth, Embassy Suites in Amarillo, and The Delta by Marriott in Southlake, TX, renovation of the Hyatt Regency Hill Country and The Woodlands Resorts.

Jennifer’s work with prior firms includes the project management of the historic Thurgood Marshall US Courthouse, 35-story building housing 23 courtrooms in downtown Manhattan. The project included MEP and life safety upgrade for the entire facility, new courtrooms, as well as numerous preservation efforts and LEED certification. Also, the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York seamlessly integrates both new infrastructure systems and design interventions within the historic building. Jennifer also has experience in Washington DC working in the US capitol building on a HABs project for the Old Supreme Court Chamber and several on-call projects with the Architect of the Capitol. Jennifer’s previous experience also includes multi-family residential, hotels, libraries, schools, transit, radiation facilities and tenant finish outs.

With these projects has come a knowledge of and experience with historic preservation, LEED certification, adaptive reuse, design, construction schedule, document coordination and construction administration. These projects have taken her to environments all over the country.

Mr. Myers founded “RCP” to provide individual investors the opportunity to invest in real estate projects. He is responsible for analyzing the firm’s real estate investments and helping to provide the company’s strategic direction. Mr. Myers has been investing in and developing real estate since 1984.

Prior to forming RCP, Mr. Myers founded Realty Capital Corporation (“RCC”), a Dallas/Fort Worth based real estate development company. RCC has developed over 60 commercial and residential projects during the last fifteen years. Mr. Myers was previously a partner with Lincoln Property Company, a national real estate development company, and a development partner with GSC Realty Corporation, a Dallas-based real estate company.

Mr. Myers graduated summa cum laude from the University of Illinois with a BS in Finance. He received the University of Illinois Bronze Tablet, the highest academic recognition of the university. He later graduated from Harvard Business School with a MBA. Mr. Myers is married with one child.

Ryan is a Vice President on the acquisitions team at S2 Capital covering the Arizona, Colorado, and Texas

markets. Ryan has over 7 years of multifamily investment experience through investment sales advisory,

asset management, and acquisitions. As part of the S2 acquisitions team, Ryan has been involved in the

acquisition of 13,000+ units. S2 Capital was founded in 2012 to build a national multifamily investment

platform specializing in value-add properties and has acquired $8 billion in assets across 45,000 units

since its inception.

Experienced professional with exposure to the financial markets, economic research, company analysis, valuation, statistical methods, derivatives, databases, and modeling. Strong leadership, written and verbal communication, problem solving, and project management skills that can be leveraged to handle client and colleague interactions efficiently and to easily integrate within a team environment.

Brian Hirsh sits in Mesa West Capital’s Chicago office and is responsible for originating loans on behalf of the firm’s various investment vehicles. He oversees the entire origination process from sourcing through loan closing with primary geographic focus is Texas, the Southwest, and Mountain regions. Within these regions, Brian manages broker and sponsor relationships, as well as evaluating the credit for all firmwide transactions in these markets. Thanks to the efforts of Hirsh and others, Mesa West Capital has closed more than 300 transactions totaling more than $19 billion since inception. That includes more than $1.2 billion Hirsh originated over the last two years in short-term, first mortgage debt for the acquisition and recapitalization of commercial real estate assets in his markets of focus. Prior to joining Mesa West in 2013, Hirsh worked on acquisitions for a boutique real estate firm in Los Angeles. Hirsh holds a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado.

Mr. Trahan is a Director at KE Andrews, a 45-year old property tax and valuation firm located in Dallas, Texas with more than 170 professionals. Mr. Trahan also runs a family office with assets and properties across the state of Texas. Mr. Trahan also sits on the board of HomeBank, a regional bank located in DFW with 4 locations, as well as sits on the board of NAIOP here in North Texas. Mr. Trahan has most recently spoken at the 2022 BisNow Multi-Family Conference in Dallas and has spoken at numerous other events. Mr. Trahan leads KE Andrews’ development efforts, helping scale the practice to managing more than $250 billion in assets nationally for clients. Mr. Trahan played football at Texas Tech and resides in Dallas with his wife Axie and 2 kids.

Jason Fudin is the CEO and Co-founder of the hospitality living platform, Placemakr. He is a well-

respected entrepreneur in the industries of real estate, hospitality, travel, and business. Before co-

founding Placemakr, Jason was the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Vornado Realty Trust. At

Vornado, Jason worked on large asset repositioning and developing innovative commercial real estate

concepts for the organization. Over his career at Vornado, Jason has managed commercial real estate

development projects valued at over $2 billion.

Fueled by a desire for disruption, Jason co-founded Placemakr, an innovative, venture-backed, tech-

enabled real estate company. Here Jason has emerged as a pioneer in the urban, high-rise real estate

space, raising over $350M in capital to develop his vision of a flexible real estate model, one that blends

multifamily and hospitality use into one property.  Throughout his career, Jason has become a voice for

change in the real estate sector, often turning to his vision of the future in institutional real estate

development and investment, proptech, alternative lodging, homes, and hospitality space.

Amber Rao is Vice President and Senior Mortgage Banker with KeyBank Real Estate Capital in Dallas,

Texas. Amber provides clients with financing options through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, CMBS, Life

Companies and Debt Funds across a variety of multifamily asset types to include conventional, student

housing, manufactured housing and affordable housing. Over the last 17 years, Amber has been directly

involved in loan production totaling over $2.5 Billion.

Amber is an active member of The Real Estate Council, Commercial Real Estate Women and holds the

Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. Amber was a founding member of the

Mortgage Bankers Association MPact Advisory Committee and is the current Chair of the Mortgage

Bankers Association CREF DE&I Council. Amber has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

from John Carroll University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas with concentrations in

Finance and Real Estate.

Jeff Slajer, AIA, has been with OMNIPLAN for almost a decade and has led several projects within his time here. As a Principal, his recent multifamily projects consist of the Trinity in Trinity Groves, Superstition Springs in Phoenix, and 2800 Taylor in Deep Ellum. Jeff has a passion for efficient designs and excels at leading complex and intricate projects. He understands the architect's role in creating designs that have innovative and experiential environments and he strives to achieve this in every project. Outside of the office, he spends time with his son and wife and is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to the Sooners football team.

With over a decade of experience in the multifamily development industry, Ross is the CEO and a co-founder of Anthem Development. A native to Dallas, Ross graduated from Southern Methodist University with dual degrees in both Real Estate Finance and Economics. Ross immediately went to go to work at his family's nearly 100 year old multifamily development firm, Frankfurt Properties. The fourth generation to work at Frankfurt Properties, Ross grew the company from 4 full time employees to approximately 20 and over $100 million in AUM. Ross has directed the financing, development, construction, and management of over 2,000 apartment units. Additionally, he has led in the procurement of nearly $300 million of equity and debt financing and helped manage over $200 million of construction. At Anthem, Ross leads the company's development, construction and management.

As Senior Director of Development for StreetLights Residential, Greg Coutant works through the acquisition, due diligence, and entitlement processes for both active and potential projects.

Throughout Greg’s career, he has gained experience with residential and commercial land development projects in Texas. Greg’s expertise lies in site selection, entitlements, civil design, project bidding and construction administration.

Prior to joining StreetLights, Greg worked at Jacobs Engineering as part of the company’s Land Development group. He also gained early career experience at Pacheco Koch Consulting Engineers working as a project manager.

Greg is an active member of The Real Estate Council. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas.

Andrew Klasing is Managing Director of Texas Development for Waypoint and responsible for the sourcing, execution and management of development projects in Texas. Prior to joining Waypoint, Mr. Klasing served as a Development Partner at Price Development Group where he oversaw the multifamily development efforts in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex. Previously, he was a Vice President of Development at Corsair Ventures and US Freedom Capital. Mr. Klasing holds a B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Kansas and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.

Adam Cryer is Co-founder and President of Pinnacle Structural Engineers. He is a graduate of Rice University, who subsequently obtained his Masters in Structural Engineering at the University of Texas in Austin. In 2014, Adam was named as a Top 40 under 40 professional by Building Design & Construction magazine, as well as one of Structural Engineering magazine’s Top 15 Rising Stars in the U.S. He has written articles for both Modern Steel Construction and Structural Engineer magazine, including “Built to Tilt”, an article on tilt-up design, published in 2013. Adam has participated on professional panels for both ACI and the Tilt-up Construction Association, and has served as a judge for the TCA’s Awards and AGC APEX Awards for the past 6 years. Adam is also Vice Chairman of the Board for ACE Mentor Program Houston, a non-profit organization that mentors high school students for future careers in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction fields.

Hamid grew up in the construction industry by learning the trade in his family’s real estate development business and has pursued a technology-oriented education and professional life in the past 20 years. Prior to founding Zebel in 2019, Hamid led the preconstruction data analytics at Western National Group, a large multifamily development/construction/property management firm, based in Southern California. He now works with large multifamily developers and GC's, such as Irvine Company, Ryan Companies, and Legacy Partners, who share their historical construction cost data anonymously through Zebel, the "Switzerland of Construction Cost Data".

Hamid received a Master of Business Administration from Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania, earned a Master of Science in Construction Management and an Engineer degree in Construction Information Technology both from University of Southern California.
