Greg Capps serves as Managing Director for Longfellow Real Estate Partners, the largest privately held investor and developer of life science buildings in the United States. Mr. Capps oversees the coordination with Longfellow's Partners to set and execute the strategy for the firm's continued growth and presence in North Carolina. To date, Longfellow has developed a North Carolina portfolio of more than 4 million square feet and key assets throughout Research Triangle Park and Durham. Prior to joining Longfellow, Greg held positions with Newmark Knight Frank, Savills Studley, TriProperties, Inc. and JLL.

Sigma Mostafa

Sigma Mostafa has 22 years of biotech industry experience in large pharma and CDMOs. Her expertise lies in building and growing organizations in the process development and manufacturing space for clinical and commercial products. Sigma is currently the Senior VP and Site Head of the North Carolina site at KBI Biopharma. The site process development, manufacturing, analytical services, and engineering organizations have direct reporting line to her in this role. The entire site is approximately 650 people and carries out upward of 50 process development and manufacturing programs and supports at least 10 INDs per year. During her 12 year tenure in KBI, Sigma built the North Carolina mammalian process development department from a five program per year to a 50 program per year organization and recruited and mentored a best in class team of scientists capable of solving the toughest technical challenges in the biotech industry.

Sigma started her career at Eli Lilly & Co. and was in charge of multiple teams over her seven-year tenure, including early phase material generation, process development & high throughput technology teams and was also the CMC leader in charge of the entire CMC team for a clinical product. Sigma subsequently joined Diosynth Biotechnology/Organon as the head of the upstream department. Her team supported both client and in-house programs once Organon was acquired by Schering Plough, which then became part of Merck & Co.

Sigma earned her Ph.D. in Chemical & Biological Engineering from Northwestern University, and her Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin with High Honors.

Alicia Knight

Associate Vice Chancellor for Real Estate and Develop

NC State University

Alicia Knight is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Real Estate

and Development at NC State University. Ms. Knight is

responsible for leadership and oversight of the university’s

real estate operations across the state, including

development, acquisition and disposition, leasing and asset

management and real estate planning.

Ms. Knight’s team is also charged with implementation of NC

State’s innovation district project on Centennial Campus. The

project - which will be implemented through a public-private

development partnership with Lincoln Harris, in partnership

with Goldman Sachs Asset Management - will encompass

approximately 30 acres of land and be developed as a mixed-

use “learn-live-work-play” environment. Adjacent to NC

State’s College of Engineering, the NC State Plant Sciences

Building and the Biomanufacturing Training and Education Center, the new development will

expand and supplement the existing innovation ecosystem in support of NC State’s education,

research and statewide outreach mission. The project will also bring significant new amenities

to Centennial Campus.

Ms. Knight joined the team at NC State in June 2020. Previously Ms. Knight spent her career in

private higher education and led a diverse operations organization including real estate and

development, construction, facilities operations, and business and auxiliary services. Ms.

Knight holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA from The George

Washington University School of Business.

Laura Rowley

VP, Life Sciences Economic Development

North Carolina Biotechnology Center

Laura joined NCBiotech’s Life Science Economic Development team in 2017. In her current role as Vice President of LSED, she partners closely with North Carolina’s economic development community, universities, community colleges, and local industry to advance workforce development efforts and support life science companies seeking to expand or relocate to NC. Laura’s previous experience with faculty-entrepreneurs at the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy provides her with an added appreciation of the breadth of North Carolina’s life science ecosystem. Laura earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Furman University in Greenville, SC, and completed her Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Tyson Strutzenberg

Developing 1.5 million square feet of lab and biomanufacturing space

Tyson Strutzenberg joined Trinity Capital Advisors in 2019 and leads the development and asset management efforts for Trinity’s life science platform. In this role, he is responsible for project design, construction, leasing, and finance. Prior to joining Trinity Capital Advisors, Tyson was COO and SVP of Asset Management at Rising Realty Partners, a vertically integrated developer and investor in Los Angeles. While at Rising, Tyson oversaw the company’s portfolio, executing business plans for 20 properties totaling over five million square feet (over $1.3 billion in value). Previously, he was a Managing Director in the commercial group at Kennedy Wilson in Beverly Hills for five years. Tyson has a total of 20 years of industry experience and holds a BS from Purdue University, an MS from Stanford University and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

Ed Field is President of BioLabs NC. Mr. Field has 20+ years c-level experience in building and

selling numerous early-stage and publicly-traded biotechnology companies. He has been

responsible for managing commercial operations, regulatory, manufacturing, clinical

development, finance and human resources. He was responsible for the buildout and start-up

of BioLabs NC which has become the largest life science innovation lab in the Southeast US with

over 90 early stage company residents and graduates that combined have raised over $2B in

capital. He also serves as the COO of Cereius Inc. co-founder and CEO of CasTag Bioscences and

a board member of Phosphogam Inc. He was previously the Chairman of NCBIO and served on

its Board of Directors. Mr. Field received a Masters in Business Administration from the

University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration and a BS from Duke

University.

George is CEO and Co-Founder of CleanSpace Modular, LLC., a Doylestown, PA-based company that provides cleanrooms and temperature-controlled environments for the life sciences, healthcare, technology, and industrial markets.

Founded in 2020, CleanSpace has grown to become one of the fastest growing business in the Philadelphia region (Ranked #1 by PBJ 2021 Soaring 76) and has completed projects from coast to coast and currently has work across North America, in Asia and in Europe.

Since 1992 George has worked in the development of highly technical facility programs, with a particular focus on modularity and standardization, facilitating very rapid and predictable solutions. George prefers to work interactively and diligently with clients, engaging with client teams to develop successful programs.

George’s particular focus is in front end design and programming, often leading the conceptual design for projects, analyzing and developing process flows, operational ergonomics, compliance drivers, as well as incorporating new industry trends.

George has been part of many project teams from concept through construction and qualification, on small projects to projects over $350MM. In addition, George also is a contributing author and lecturer, providing insight, trends, ideas and concepts to user groups and industry professionals.

Eric is an Executive Vice President leading the Life Science Practice group for the Raleigh-Durham market working with both landlord representation and providing occupancy solutions for tenants. Eric brings valuable knowledge of the capital investment needed to support research and manufacturing operations for these clients. He partners with other JLL Life Sciences hubs including Boston, San Diego and Bay Area to enhance our expertise and service delivery to our clients.

Eric believes in embracing an enterprising philosophy to leasing – acting quickly to create and seize opportunities for his clients and generating solutions for the evolving challenges they face. He dedicates himself to driving exceptional results, leveraging a unique balance of creative ingenuity and financial acumen to deliver comprehensive leasing strategies. Through innovative property marketing, competitive analysis, and risk minimization with thoughtfully negotiated leasing, Eric’s results-driven leasing strategy positions his clients in the Triangle for success.

Eric brings over 13 years of industry experience. Before JLL, Eric served as a Senior Vice President at Colliers, specializing in landlord representation of office and life sciences buildings. Eric graduated from The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, with a BS in Business Administration. He serves as a board member for TRAOBA and is actively involved with NAIOP and ULI. Additionally, he supports the Joey O Bocce Classic to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.

Tom Fritsch serves as Senior Managing Director of the CBRE Raleigh and

Triad offices. As the senior executive, he is responsible for managing the

company’s overall operations. His major responsibilities include the

company’s financial performance, business development, and strategic

planning. Mr. Fritsch oversees all operations in the Triangle and Triad

regions along with their expansive portfolio of services inclusive of

brokerage, tenant representation, property management, investment sales

and corporate services. Since joining the company in 2013, Mr. Fritsch has

overseen the successful completion of over 5,400 transactions with a value

of over $17.3B.

In addition to supporting the company, Mr. Fritsch is involved with several

organizations in the community. He currently serves on the NAIOP Board of

Directors for the Raleigh-Durham Chapter, the Board of Directors for the

WakeMed Foundation, and the Board of Advisors for the NCCU Real Estate

School. He has also been a member of the Raleigh Chamber Board of

Directors and NAIOP’s National Board of Directors, as well as a former

President of TRAOBA and the NAIOP Raleigh-Durham Chapter.
