Alterra Property Group

Matt oversees all investment and asset management activity for Alterra. He and his Partners are responsible for forming and implementing investment strategies across the company. Matt played an integral part in the formation of Alterra’s Industrial Outdoor Storage platform and oversees the day-to-day acquisitions and asset management initiatives of that platform. In addition, he is responsible for raising and structuring equity and debt for Alterra’s ongoing business initiatives. Matt has been involved with over $1 billion of transactions during his time at Alterra.

Prior to joining Alterra, Matt focused on acquisitions on the East Coast for CenterSquare, a real estate private equity firm located in Philadelphia. He began his career in real estate at Blackstone (2007-2012).

Matt has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Finance from Georgetown University. Matt is actively involved with Wharton’s Zell Lurie Real Estate Center and is a member of the board for Georgetown’s Steers Center for Global Real Estate. Matt and his wife have two children and reside outside of Philadelphia.

Michael Rabin is CEO and Co-Founder of Open Industrial, a real estate investment platform created in 2020 with the sole focus of acquiring and operating industrial outdoor storage assets. Prior to launching Open Industrial, Michael founded Fortified Property Group in 2014 and built a diverse portfolio commercial assets. Michael has 18+ years of experience in real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and asset/property management. He has worked on over $2 billion of direct property acquisitions/dispositions, REO/note acquisitions and JV equity transactions throughout his career.

Ben Atkins

Over his twenty-year career in real estate development, Mr. Atkins has consummated the purchase and development of properties with a gross asset value in excess of $1 billion. He is the Founder and President of Abingdon Square Partners, a boutique real estate development company formed in 2011 and headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. The Company seeks commercial and industrial opportunistic investment opportunities within emerging and undervalued markets, with a focus on New York, Florida and Texas. The Company invests in multiple real estate asset classes, including self-storage, industrial, retail and distressed debt. From 2002-2011, Mr. Atkins was a principal in The Atkins & Breskin Company (“A&B”), a privately held real estate investment firm based in New York City. During his time at A&B, Mr. Atkins was instrumental in building a portfolio of retained mixed- use assets that currently exceeds fifty properties. Mr. Atkins began his real estate career in 1997 as a real estate attorney at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York City. From 1999 to 2002, he was a Vice President at Vornado Realty Trust, one of the nation’s largest commercial real estate firms, and served as General Counsel of the firm’s New York Office Division. He holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School (1997) and a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia College (1993). He has been an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Stern School of Business since 2014, where he teaches a course on Real Estate Development and Entrepreneurship.

Ryan Battistoni

Ryan Battistoni is a Founding Partner of Timber Hill Group, where he serves as Chief Operating Officer as well as the head of the firm’s asset management and development divisions. He has over 15 years of experience in industrial real estate, and during his career he has completed more than $400 million in development and construction projects and has been responsible for overseeing portfolios valued at more than $1.2 billion across the U.S. Since its creation in 2018, Timber Hill Group has focused primarily on the purchase and development of logistics-centered industrial service facilities across the United States.

Prior to 2019, Mr. Battistoni oversaw national portfolio operations for Sitex Group, a New York-based private equity real estate firm with assets in New York, New Jersey, Chicago and Los Angeles. He began his career with Colliers international, where he played an integral role in the management of several large institutional industrial portfolios in the Chicagoland area.

Mt. Battistoni is a graduate of Marquette University, where he received an undergraduate degree in Finance. He resides in Downers Grove, IL with his wife and three children.

Daniel Laub

Zenith

Founder and COO Daniel Laub has worked in the real estate industry for nearly fifteen years. Responsible for the overall operations and management of Zenith, Daniel also oversees the origination, structuring, and asset management of Zenith’s investment and development activities. Prior to co-founding Zenith, Daniel was founder and CEO of Greyscale Development

Group, which he founded in 2013, to identify opportunities in emerging and growing markets and to deliver a product that’s in line with an area’s long-term trajectory and vision. Since inception, Greyscale has developed particular competencies in industrial and industrial-adjacent asset types, including flex, warehouse and self-storage. Daniel has a B.A. from Hamilton College and an M.S. in Real Estate from New York University.

Dan Haroun

Dan Haroun is a Co-Founder and Partner at Catalyst Investment Partners overseeing all investments. Prior to founding Catalyst, Mr. Haroun was responsible for acquisitions and asset management at Meadow Partners, a New York City-based real estate private equity firm. While at Meadow Partners, Mr. Haroun was involved with the acquisition or development of over $1.0 billion of real estate across New York City and Washington D.C. Mr. Haroun led the launch of Meadow Partners’ fleet parking & industrial outdoor storage platform focused on acquisitions across the New York City Metropolitan Area. Prior to joining Meadow Partners, Mr. Haroun evaluated equity and debt investments as part of the acquisitions team at SL Green Realty Corp., closing $4.0 billion in transactions. Mr. Haroun received a B.S.E. in Systems Science & Engineering Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a concentration in Financial Systems.
