Charles Shelburne is the Vice President of Real Estate & Campus Planning for Baylor Scott & White. Baylor Scott & White is the largest nonprofit healthcare system in Texas and includes 51 hospitals, more than 800 patient care sites, more than 7,300 active physicians, over 49,000 employees, and the Scott & White Health Plan.

Charles has over 20 years’ experience in healthcare planning, strategic business support, and development of real estate solutions for complex healthcare projects. He has a solid background in client relationship development, leadership, strategic planning, capital budgeting, and project management for a multi-million-square-foot healthcare system. Charles is responsible for leading a team of professionals who provide a dedicated focus on Healthcare planning & design, occupancy management, and real estate document management for Baylor Scott & White.

Charles holds a Master of Architecture degree from Texas Tech University, is an active member and Vice President of the North Texas Chapter of Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP), and an active member of the Deep Ellum Association Foundation (DEF) board

With over 25 years of experience in healthcare architecture and medical planning, Michael St. Clair leads the growth of REES’ healthcare practice across Texas. His passion for healthcare design is rooted in a deep interest in how hospital operations influence patient care and community well-being.

Before joining REES, Michael held leadership roles at national design firms, where he led planning efforts for major institutions including Cook Children’s Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, UHealth Miami, and UC San Diego. His portfolio includes innovative outpatient centers, surgical facilities, and pediatric campuses nationwide.

A frequent speaker at national conferences, Michael also serves on the AIA Dallas Public Policy Committee. He is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and a strong advocate for design that drives better health outcomes.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys traveling to historic cities to explore the intersection of architecture and culture.

Ian Sinnett is a Principal and the Southwest Regional Practice

Leader at Perkins&Will, one of the largest healthcare design

firms in the United States. Ian spearheads the development,

design, and delivery of complex healthcare projects across

Texas and the United States. With over two decades of

experience, Ian has collaborated with design teams to

execute a full spectrum of healthcare projects, ranging from

academic medical centers to for-profit, not-for-profit, and

specialty facilities.

A graduate of Kansas State University, Ian has been

recognized for his contributions to healthcare architecture,

including being named one of Building Design+Construction’s

40 Under 40. His portfolio includes transformative projects

such as UT Southwestern Medical Center at RedBird, an

award-winning clinic that has redefined healthcare access

in Southern Dallas, and the expansion of one of the nation’s

busiest emergency departments in Lancaster, Pennsylvania—

both projects that have significantly elevated the quality of

care for their communities.

Currently, Ian serves as the Perkins&Will principal-in-charge

for the New Pediatric Campus, a groundbreaking $5 billion,

4.5 million-square-foot hospital being developed by UT

Southwestern and Children’s Health, poised to become one

of the most advanced pediatric healthcare facilities in the

country.

Beyond architecture, Ian is passionate about

astrophotography, competitive sporting clays, and curling,

pursuits that reflect his appreciation for precision, skill, and

exploration. Based in Dallas, Texas, he continues to push the

boundaries of healthcare design, ensuring every project he

leads enhances both patient experiences and operational

efficiencies.

Robert is a Principal, Project Director, and Health Sector Leader at Page with an extensive national and international healthcare delivery background spanning more than 3 decades. Recognized for his management of complex and mission critical projects, he works to involve each client with the design team to produce engaging healing environments that serve their respective communities.

As a registered architect and healthcare specialist, Robert works both internally with Page staff and externally with clients to explore and discover innovative solutions for advancing design, planning, strategy, and practice delivery. He also works within aligned market sectors at Page including Hospitality, Housing, Academic, and Government to collaborate with our design teams on the alignment of best practices and performance outcomes to insure commitment to successful project delivery as a part of the Page- “Good to Great” initiative. Robert was one of the original collaborators on establishing the Page “Project Delivery Committee" to establish design processes and quality assurance within Page.

An Honor Graduate of Texas A & M University with both, a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design and a Master’s Degree in Architecture, Robert is also a Board Certified member of the American College of Healthcare Architects where he remains active in leadership and has served on committee’s contributing to design excellence, advocacy, and national code standards for the betterment of our building practice.

He has presented nationally at both HCD as well as the ASHE PDC and is a frequent speaker a Texas A&M University. He remains active within the local chapter of the AIA while also participating with local charities. Robert enjoys working as a member of Texas A&M’s -College of Architecture Healthcare Industry Advisory Council helping students understand some of the many challenges associated with the complex world of Healthcare Design.

As a firm wide leader at Page, Robert is highly skilled in promoting collaboration through “dynamic listening” working to achieve design excellence on every project. Lean design process and Integrated Project Delivery methodologies are among the many aspects of project delivery that Robert has embraced while he continues to dedicate his practice to bettering our communities.

Mr. Golik has more than 17 years of experience in commercial real estate finance, with the past 12 years focused exclusively on healthcare. He has been responsible for the development and financing of acute care and inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and medical office buildings. In addition to his role at Carter Validus, Mr. Golik has led a variety of efforts in healthcare such as acquisitions, development, underwriting and investment at KDC and The Cirrus Group. To date he has completed projects in excess of $300 million. He started his career at Archon Group a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs.

Chris has over 19 years of experience in real estate underwriting, management, and finance. He joined

Big Sky in 2022.

Prior to joining Big Sky, Chris was Vice President of Healthcare Acquisitions at Broadstone Net Lease,

acquiring over $120 million in assets in under a year. He was Manager of Acquisitions at Caddis for over

5 years, where he led the acquisition efforts for Caddis’ first fund, launched in 2017, which exceeded

$330 million in transaction volume.

Chris graduated with honors from California State University, Stanislaus with a Bachelor’s degree in

Business Administration and earned a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist

University with concentrations in real estate and corporate finance.

Chris is actively involved in the community, having raised substantial funding for Vogel Alcove, a

nonprofit organization dedicated to providing therapeutic educational programs for children

experiencing the trauma of homelessness. In 2020, he was honored by Dallas Business Journal’s annual

40 Under 40 Awards, recognizing leaders who excel in their fields, make valuable contributions to their

organizations, and have a meaningful impact on their communities. In his free time, Chris enjoys golfing,

running, and spending time with his kids.

He works beyond the physical requirements of a surgery center to understand the regulatory and day-to-day operational needs of his clients. Drew joined BA in 2002 and graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Master of Architecture with a Certificate in Health Systems and Design.

Michael Walker is responsible for leadership of the North Zone Real Estate Operations achieving

Texas Health’s Vision and Mission through commitment to excellence. All aspects of property

management, asset management, leasing, facility operations and capital projects are managed to

enhance consistency and efficiency within the North Zone portfolio. He joined Texas Health

Resources in 1997 and is a proven leader; enhancing consumer-focus, developing strategic

initiatives, increasing profitability, and consumer satisfaction.

Dr. Walker graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. from Dallas Christian College; obtained his

M.A. in Religion and Theology from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary; and earned a Doctor

of Education with Distinction from Liberty University. His research interest includes

transformational leadership, African American lived experiences, religion and theology, and

organizational leadership in healthcare real estate.

Kurt’s professional engineering career spans over 40 years. His expertise includes structural engineering design for Mission Critical Facilities such as Data Centers, Health Care Facilities such as Hospitals and Clinics and Life Sciences Facilities such as Biopharmaceutical Pilot Plants and Production Facilities around the United States and the World. His area of expertise is in designing buildings to be occupable after natural disasters including Tornados, Hurricanes and Earthquakes. He has been the structural engineer of record for conventional “fixed Base Buildings” ranging from 1-23 stories, “Base Isolated Buildings” ranging from 1-5 stories, and the retrofit and new construction of buildings incorporating Fluid Viscous Dampers ranging from 1-22 stories. He has published numerous papers on passive energy dissipation and presented the findings at various conventions in Boston, San Francisco and Milan.

For over 23 years as the Founding Principal at PARADIGM Structural Engineers, Kurt spends most of his time developing new leaders at PARADIGM and mentoring staff in Chicago and San Francisco.
