With more than 25 years of experience in mission critical construction and design, Lane Anderson has an extensive background in MEP projects and design and construction leadership. Having delivered over 3.5 million square feet of data center projects, Lane is well versed in designing for efficiency to pursue low PUE facilities and has strong expertise in building design and construction teams.

Nancy Novak, Compass Datacenters’ Chief Innovation Officer, has over 25 years of construction experience and has overseen the delivery of over $3.5 billion in projects during that time. Prior to joining Compass, Nancy was the National Vice President of Operations for Balfour Beatty Construction which she joined after serving in a variety of executive positions for Hensel Phelps Construction Company. Ms. Novak is a member of the iMason’s advisory council and is actively involved in a number of organizations dedicated to the advancement of woman in business including Above the Glass Ceiling (AGC) who are working with Fortune 500 companies to aid in the advancement of women in STEM, Women in Government Relations (WGE), Women Construction Owners and Executives (WCOE), The World Trade Center Initiative, Fortune Media’s Most Powerful Women and the National Women’s Party. Nancy is a frequent speaker on the topic and has participated in the White House Womens and Diversity in STEM forums. Kurt’s professional engineering career spans over 40 years. His expertise includes structural engineering design for Mission Critical Facilities such as Data Centers, Health Care Facilities such as Hospitals and Clinics and Life Sciences Facilities such as Biopharmaceutical Pilot Plants and Production Facilities around the United States and the World. His area of expertise is in designing buildings to be occupable after natural disasters including Tornados, Hurricanes and Earthquakes. He has been the structural engineer of record for conventional “fixed Base Buildings” ranging from 1-23 stories, “Base Isolated Buildings” ranging from 1-5 stories, and the retrofit and new construction of buildings incorporating Fluid Viscous Dampers ranging from 1-22 stories. He has published numerous papers on passive energy dissipation and presented the findings at various conventions in Boston, San Francisco and Milan.

As a Co-founder in 1992, and currently the Director of Environmental Impact at MIRATECH Corporation, Jim provides leadership, strategy and product design expertise for their Power Generation division. Jim rejoined Miratech Corporation in 2019 heading up the ENP Concepts consulting arm after management positions at Rypos Corporation and leading the environmental department at PowerSecure’s microgrid group. In charge of tracking all Federal, State and Local emissions regulations as they pertain to backup generators located at Datacenters in North America and Europe, he ensures MIRATECH’s products and services offer ongoing compliance. Mr. McDonald has testified before the Federal EPA numerous times and is considered a valuable stakeholder on several rulemaking teams at the State Level. For 15 years he has been an instructor for the Advanced School of the Electrical Generating Systems Association on the subject of Emissions from Diesel engines and has authored the textbook chapter on the same. He has a Patent Pending on the use of wire mesh DPF substrates in the pre-heating of SCR catalyst blocks. As the originator of the ‘GVU’ measurement parameter, Jim performs analyses to show the relative comparison on Ultraclean diesel generators versus grid supplied power. As such he advocates for the environmentally justifiable use of stationary generators until emerging renewable technologies are proven and cost effective. Jim holds a B.S in mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware.

As Vice President of Data Center Development and Construction, Karen Petersburg brings 17

years of significant experience to PowerHouse, having successfully managed complex

sustainable data center design and engineering projects, including campus developments,

hyperscale built-to-suits, and major infrastructure renovations. Most recently, Petersburg has

served as director of design for Digital Realty Trust, where she was responsible for the quality of

the organization’s designs and processes. Alongside Luke Kipfer, Petersburg oversees the

planning and execution of all PowerHouse data center projects.

Karen Petersburg actively contributes to the data center industry as the president of the local

7x24 DC Chapter, with board and committee positions for the Data Center Coalition and the

Nomad Futurist Foundation. She also supports local non-profits aiming to increase STEM

participation among local youth.

Beyond her professional life, Karen is dedicated to exploring the philosophical and

socio-economic dimensions of data, contemplating how it impacts our daily lives and shapes our

globalized society's future.

Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government as well as a Masters of

Arts in Philosophy from Virginia Tech, along with several industry certifications from CNet

Training/Uptime Institute and Data Center Dynamics.

Whitney brings over 20 years of experience in the data center industry, spending the last 9 years as an Account Executive dedicated to the Service Provider segment for key strategic colocation accounts. Recently, she has assumed a new position as Director of Business Development for the Service Provider segment where she will be leading the new business initiatives across North America for Schneider. Whitney is located in Atlanta, GA, is a graduate of the University of Georgia, and married with 3 children.

Joe is Vice President, Solution Architects at Schneider Electric, responsible for bringing together the full

suite of our products and services to provide complete solutions for our customers. Joe has more than

22 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, operations management, and

system engineering strategies.  Joe started his career with the U.S. Air Force Nuclear program and then

lead one of the world’s largest financial data center portfolios. Joe provides strong technical and

business leadership skills with the proven ability to analyze an organization’s business requirements,

identify deficiencies and potential opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to meet the

customer’s business objectives.

As President and Chief Operating Officer for Flexential, Ryan leads the company's internal day-to-day operations across all company functions, ensures the growth of the technology platform, and drives strategic execution.

With more than 25 years of experience in global infrastructure operations, Ryan has held leadership roles at UUNET, SAVVIS, XO Communications, Digital Realty, and Equinix. Before Flexential, he served as SVP of Global Solutions Enablement at Equinix, where he worked across network, platform, and sales functions to support customer and business growth worldwide.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in international business from the University of Phoenix.

Alexis Layne is a graduate of Virginia Tech from the Building Construction Program. After graduation, she spent over a decade in the General Contracting world, specializing and managing Design/Build projects with Developers, Class A Office Builds and Industrial Building Retrofits. She then transitioned to an Owner’s Representative role with Cushman & Wakefield, representing large build-to-suit efforts, and tenant buildouts.

Currently Alexis is the Geographical Construction Manager for Leased Facilities at Meta where she is responsible for managing and overseeing all construction in the leased portfolio globally.

Nathan Hazelwood, Chief Development Officer of Cologix, is responsible for leading all aspects of design and construction, supply chain, vendor management, sales engineering and strategic sourcing throughout the company.

Over the past 18 years, Nathan has been an industry leader in key areas, such as design, construction and supply chain by forging new ways of procuring that have led to changes in how manufacturers and end users benefit together.

Prior to joining Cologix, Hazelwood held leadership roles in the data center industry at CyrusOne and QTS. He was responsible for overseeing development projects, establishing corporate standards, building procurement departments, setting overall strategic sourcing strategies, creating robust supply chains and fostering strategic partnerships.

Hazelwood holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Purdue University.

A native of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, John is a visionary leader with more than 30 years of progressive experience in infrastructure strategy, planning, acquisition, design, construction, and operations. He currently serves as Group Lead, Global Lease Requirements, Integration and Delivery at Meta, Infrastructure Data Centers.

Prior to entering the private sector, John served our nation as a Naval Officer in several leadership roles delivering billions in critical infrastructure, multi-national disaster recovery initiatives and humanitarian assistance operations and served in several armed conflicts including the Gulf War, Iraq and Afghanistan.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute, a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) from the Pennsylvania State University, an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Naval Postgraduate School, is a graduate of The Executive Program at the University of Virginia and Advanced Management Program at the University of North Carolina.

John is a registered Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and holds credentials as a Project Management Professional, Certified Facility Manager, and Certified Energy Manager. He is a Fellow in the Society of American Military Engineers, and affiliated with the Project Management Institute and International Facilities Management Association.

As the Senior Director of Site Development at Core Scientific, Jon Gibbs brings almost three decades of comprehensive construction expertise to the forefront. His impressive career journey includes mission-critical procurement, project management, and preconstruction leadership throughout North America. Jon's foundational experience began in his early days as a journeyman electrician and program manager. He further bolstered his skills with certifications in estimating and a degree in Construction Management.

Mike Kitchen is a principal with christopher consultants/IMEG and has nearly 40 years of

experience providing civil engineering services in the DC region. He is known for his long-lasting

relationships with clients, development partners, state and local officials and various regulatory

associations. Mike leads christopher’s data center efforts and is experienced with the specific

needs of data center developers, the need for discretion in confidential projects and working on

an accelerated schedule. He has worked on numerous data center projects in Loudoun, Prince

William, Fauquier, Culpeper and Henrico counties for various developers and end users.

In addition to his project experience, Mike is an active member in several development industry

organizations. He is a member of the Executive Committee for NAIOP Northern Virginia and

recently completed a five-year term as the chair of the Government Relations Committee. He is

also a member of the Prince William County Commercial Development Committee (CDC) and a

supervisor-appointed representative on the Prince William County Development Ordinance

Review Committee (DORAC). He worked closely with county and industry representative in the

creation of and update to the Prince William County Comprehensive Plan as well as their data

center opportunity zone and design guidelines.

With professional experience spanning over 11 years, Priyanka Parkar has worked in the construction tech industry with seed to Series B ConTech startups. Currently, Priyanka is a Senior Manager of Marketing at ALICE Technologies, where she drives growth. Before ALICE, Priyanka led product marketing and GTM strategy at Stanley X, the construction technology innovation arm of Stanley Black and Decker. She also launched Stanley X’s ConTech Advisory Board with a vision to influence the future of construction. Before joining Stanley X, Priyanka led marketing programs at SafeAI, a series B startup bringing autonomous technology to mining and construction. Priyanka is a chemical engineer by education and is an alumna of the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and the University of Mumbai.

Mr. Edward J. Meier (Ed) has worked in the Mission Critical industry for over 40 years. During this time, he has been instrumental in driving corporate growth and operational excellence. Ed was responsible for developing and delivering excellence in many areas of mission critical services. Ed is now a "C" level executive and serves on executive boards and trade committees that serve the mission critical industry. These include collaborating with executives, operations staff, and sales teams, developing scopes of services, training curricula and best practice operational procedures, mobilization of resources and vendor selection as part of executive management of daily operations. During many of those years, he was Senior Service Director, then promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations for an International Facilities Design Build and Operations Management firm. His teams were recognized for delivering world-class facilities, operational best practices, ensuring Safety and uptime at numerus national and international client facilities.

Ed is the Chief Mission Critical Officer at TRINITY Group Mission Critical — a division of TRINITY Group Construction, Inc. — based in Herndon, VA. He is responsible for expanding TRINITY Group Mission Critical's national profile. Ed's many years of experience in the industry allow TGMC to offer a diverse range of services for its clients, from greenfield construction, to white space fit outs, to upfits, and detailed preconstruction.

Bruce Thomas is Business Development Manager for Tindall Building Systems Virginia location. Bruce’s

30+ years of experience working in the data/mission critical industry speaks for itself. From project

manager to Sales Engineer and Mechanical General Contracting, there is no part of the business he has

not touched. He began his career working in project management then for Liebert Corporation (Vertiv)

and later moved into a sales Engineer position. This experience led him to mechanical/general

contracting where he has spent years working with the data center expansions in the Northern Virginia

market to the United Arab Emirates region of the Middle East. Bruce is active on various boards serving

as an officer and committee chairman for AFCOM and 7x24 Exchange.

Headquartered in Spartanburg, S.C., Tindall is one of the largest precast prestressed concrete

manufactures in North America. The company is comprised of two distinct business groups, Building

Systems, and Infrastructure. Between the two groups, they own and operates six plant facilities that

service the Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern, and South-Central United States. Tindall provides engineering,

manufacturing, shipping, and installation solutions for the customers and communities they serve.

An accomplished executive, Lindsey brings together expertise in project development for both data centers and renewable energy. Lindsey led the advancement of several hundred megawatts of data center pipelines across the US and Europe, and her renewable energy development experience extends to the US, Canada and parts of South America.

Prior to joining CleanArc, Lindsey served as Vice President of Project Development at CyrusOne, a leading global data center developer and operator specializing in delivering state-of-the-art digital infrastructure solutions across the globe. At CyrusOne, she led the global Project Development team and was responsible for the strategy, execution, and delivery of the company’s organic data center development projects. Prior to this role, Lindsey served as CyrusOne’s Senior Corporate Counsel of Real Estate & Construction, working alongside the company’s U.S. and global site selection and construction teams in all aspects of site selection and development. Previously, Lindsey served as Senior Attorney for the Americas division of RES Group, the world’s largest independent renewable energy company, where she represented the organization in various matters related to the development and construction of utility scale renewable energy projects. Lindsey began her career as an attorney in private practice focused on commercial and industrial real estate.

Lindsey holds an AB in English from Duke University, a JD from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, and an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology.

Mr. Gibbs serves as SVP of Design and Construction for Prime. With over 10 years of industry experience and perspective, he leads Prime’s physical building development efforts globally. Jonathan’s design and construction portfolio consists of over $15B throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

As EVP of Construction and Development, Robbie is the leader of T5’s Construction Services division, where he sets the overall vision and business strategy. He holds the general contractors license and/or business license for construction activity across the organization. Robbie holds a degree in Construction Management from Western Carolina University.

As Principal for the Mission Critical Practice, Mason McPike partners with colocation operators, cloud providers, and enterprise users to develop MEP Engineering and Technology Design solutions for greenfield and brownfield data center assets. Joining the company in 2004, Mason has delivered over 30 diverse data center projects which include multi building campus development, live central plant replacements, and adaptive re-use infill opportunities . In addition, he has provided consulting on private equity transactions in the space exceeding 1 billion USD.
