Summary

Join us for our fourth annual Data Center Investment Conference & Expo (DICE) East in Northern Virginia!

With over 100 data centers and over 4.7 million FT SQ of data center space, Northern Virginia takes the lead as the world’s largest data center market. Cloud providers, social media and tech behemoths are driving NoVa’s substantial growth, leading to a whopping 157.1 MW in absorption as of H2 2018. With leasing in the region at four times greater than any other U.S. market, it’s no surprise that NoVa has been dubbed the home of the cloud.

The demand for new facilities spurs new construction projects in Northern Virginia, with 317 MW under construction reported in H1 2018. Leading colos like Evoque and CoreSite have already closed on positions outside of Data Center Alley in Ashburn, and into neighboring locales like Reston and Manassas.

Topics will Include:

1. How will increased power density and cooling capacity impact site selection?

2. As end user demands shift, how will the growing use of outsourced IT services drive demand for off-premise data centers and onto the cloud?

3. How will the Internet of Things, AI and the growth of Smart Cities impact data center demand?

4. With deployments becoming more dense and compact, what are hyperscalers and cloud providers doing to be more sustainable?

5. What do the growth of micro data centers, 5G and Edge Computing innovations mean for today’s data center requirements?

6. How are cloud computing platforms and hyperscalers expanding their footprint in Northern Virginia?

7. How can investors take advantage of Virginia’s generous data center tax incentives?
