As Chief Technology Officer, Brian Johnston provides technology leadership for IT infrastructure, product development and data center design. Brian has a unique combination of design, technological expertise, and more than 17 years of experience in delivering IT solutions.

Brian has worked in various engineering positions for several of the nation's top technology companies. Brian gained his experience working in several top U.S. technology companies, which gave him an intimate understanding of the importance of performance and capacity through analytics, monitoring and reporting.

Prior to his role as Chief Technology Officer, Brian was QTS' Chief Operations Officer. Prior to joining QTS, Brian served as Vice President of Operation at First National Technology Solutions, a data center services company, from 2001 to 2006, and President of Capaciteam, a capacity planning and mathematical modeling service provider, from 1999 to 2001.

Brian served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserve from 1990 to 1995. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Bellevue University with an associates degree in Electronic Engineering with Honors. He is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Society for academic achievement. Brian and his family support a number of charities including Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Veterans with Disabilities, and the Aba House Foundation.

Tino is the Big Data Lead for Office of the CTO at Google Cloud, focusing on building strategic relationships with the world’s top Enterprises in the interest of sharing and accelerating technological innovation.

Prior, Tino was on the BigQuery team, where he solved difficult cloud-native product problems, enabled Googlers and customers, and herded various cats. In earlier years Tino held various positions of leadership in several Silicon Valley startups, and could be found working as a quant developer at a boutique trading firm out of Chicago.

Tino holds a Bachelor`s degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from University of California - Davis. When not at work, you can usually find him playing beach volleyball, cycling, skiing, paddle boarding, or enjoying a nice glass of wine.

Chris Sharp has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, with an extensive background in developing technology strategies in global markets. He has a deep knowledge of the data center sector and is well positioned to expand technical innovation at Digital Realty. Most recently, he was responsible for cloud innovation at Equinix, where he led the development of innovative cloud services solutions and developed new capabilities enabling next-generation, high-performance exchange and interconnection solutions, facilitating broad commercial adoption of cloud computing on a global basis. Previously, Mr. Sharp held leadership positions at top network and colocation providers, including Qwest Communications, MCI/Verizon Business and Reliance Globalcom.

Stephen M. Smith joined Equinix in 2007 from Hewlett-Packard Co., where he served as Senior Vice President of HP Services. There he was responsible for management of the organizations Consulting and Integration, Managed Services, and Technology Deployment and Support business groups.

Prior to joining HP, Mr. Smith served as Vice President of Global Professional and Managed Services at Lucent Technologies. He has also held various management and sales positions during his 16 years with Electronic Data Systems Corporation, including Chief Sales Officer, President of EDS Asia-Pacific, and President of EDS Western Region. At EDS, his roles spanned sales, business development, operations, acquisition-driven integration, and the management of international growth. Mr. Smith also had a successful eight-year career in the U.S. Army where, among other roles, he was aide-de-camp to the office of the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific. Mr. Smith graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and holds a B.S. in Engineering.

A. William Stein (Bill) is Digital Realty’s Chief Executive Officer and serves on its Board of Directors.

Under Bill’s leadership, Digital Realty has executed a series of transformational transactions that have sharpened the company’s strategic focus and significantly enhanced its product offerings. Bill has overseen a near doubling in the size of the company’s total enterprise value, as well as its recent inclusion in the S&P 500 Index.

Prior to being named CEO in 2014, Bill served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer.

Bill has over 30 years of leadership experience at a wide variety of companies. Before joining Digital Realty in 2004, Bill was with GI Partners (Digital Realty’s predecessor private equity fund); Co-Head of VentureBank@PNC and Media and Communications Finance at The PNC Financial Services Group; President and Chief Operating Officer of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust (now part of iStar Financial); Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust; and he previously held a number of senior positions with Westinghouse Electric, Westinghouse Financial Services and Duquesne Light Company. In addition, Bill practiced law for eight years, specializing in litigation as well as securities and finance.

Bill has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Master of Science degree with Distinction from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.

Lammot J. du Pont is co-founder of DuPont Fabros Technology (DFT). He is also a director as well as chairman of the board of directors, positions he has held since the company’s IPO in 2007.

Prior to co-founding DFT, du Pont co-founded DuPont Fabros Development (DFD), a real estate services company, in 1997 with Hossein Fateh. As co-founder, du Pont managed the acquisition, development, leasing and management of all DFD properties.

Before DFD, du Pont worked for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). Prior to CSIS, du Pont held the position of full committee staff member with the U.S. House of Representatives (Committee on Banking & Financial Services). Du Pont began his career as an analyst at J.P. Morgan.

Du Pont earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Williams College and a Master of Business Administration from Georgetown University.

Prior to joining CoreSite as President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Szurek served as Chief Financial Officer of Biltmore Farms, LLC, a developer and operator of mixed-use master planned communities, from 2003 to September 2016. Mr. Szurek has previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Security Capital Group Incorporated, a publicly traded real estate investment, development and operating company with extensive REIT engagement, as a director of the Charlotte, North Carolina branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and as a director of two publicly traded real estate companies, Regency Centers and Security Capital U.S Realty. Mr. Szurek received a J.D. with honors from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Government, magna cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Szurek currently serves as a director of Four Corners Property Trust, a REIT focused on restaurant real estate.

John Sheputis

John Sheputis is a Co-Founder and Managing Director at Primary Digital Infrastructure, an independent data center investment platform. From 2019 through 2023, John was a Managing Director at GI Partners where he led the technology real estate acquisitions and headed the Essential Tech + Science Real Estate Fund. Prior to GI Partners, Mr. Sheputis was President of Infomart Data Centers. In 2018, the Dallas Infomart was acquired by Equinix and the remaining Infomart assets and operations were acquired by IPI Partners to be the initial properties for STACK Infrastructure. Prior to Infomart, Mr. Sheputis was Co-Founder and CEO of Fortune Data Centers. Mr. Sheputis received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA and an MS Engineering from Northwestern.

Jason Silva

Jason Silva has over 17 years’ experience in Data Center Management and Information Technology. His experience includes the management and implementation of internet and intranet systems in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, government, and technology sectors. Jason joined ByteGrid in March of 2015 when his former company Sidus Data was acquired by ByteGrid. Jason was a Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Sidus. Jason main focus as Chief Technology Officer is building, supporting and advancing ByteGrid’s product portfolio as the most innovative information systems available to today’s enterprises. He has spoken extensively on the implementation of regulated cloud computing environments to national and international industry groups such as the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) and Institute for Validation Technology. Mr. Silva has also participated and presented to the FDA’s cloud working group on the risk considerations and data integrity for regulated cloud deployments.

Rob Rockwood

Rob Rockwood serves as President of Sabey Data Centers and has been with the company for four years. Prior to joining Sabey, he served at CoreSite from 2001-2014 finishing as a Senior Vice President and General Manager.

After graduating from West Point and serving in the US Army, Rob earned master’s degrees in construction management and public administration from the University of Illinois and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, respectively. Rob draws on his training and experience as a soldier and business leader to build teams that create the very best opportunities for customers and employees to grow and prosper.

Mr. Martin has experience in both field supervision and project management of a variety of high-end construction projects nationwide with a track record of value engineering to maintain budget and schedule goals. Through these projects, Mr. Martin has developed relationships industry leading real estate and technology firms.

Mr. Martin attended Stockton College and holds OSHA 30-hour, 7×24 Exchange and AFCOM member licenses and certifications.

David Ibarra

David has had a true passion for engineering since entered the field after he graduated from college in Venezuela. David has worked on over $1.8 billion of data center projects across three continents during his career, and is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional. provided a variety of services including planning/site selection studies, audits, risk assessments,

Garay "Doc" Goglio

At Boland, Mr. Goglio serves as the Subject Matter Expert for Mission Critical Data Centers including account management, preparing service contracts, service repair, and retrofit and replacement work. An accomplished, forward-thinking, and goal-oriented data center executive, Michael has over 20 years of expertise leading various high-impacting data center projects and initiatives across industry leaders such as Google and Yahoo.

As Global Head of Design & Delivery, Michael is responsible for the development and construction of cutting-edge data center campuses, ensuring alignment of performance with Aligned’s supply chain methodology as well as best-in-class design, efficiency, and operational objectives. He also leads large cross-functional teams to ensure the scope, quality, schedule and costs of each project are met as contracted, with a focus on enabling customers to achieve speed-to-market and scale with minimal exposure to risk.

Prior to Aligned, Michael served as Head of Global Data Center Operations at Google, where he directed day-to-day operations across all of the company’s state-of-the-art data center campuses, as well as edge sites and Points of Presence (PoPs). Before Google, Michael was the Vice President, Global Data Center Construction and Operations at Yahoo!, where he was responsible for managing and supervising data center engineering and delivery teams in the execution of global data center strategies, including the development and construction of cutting-edge data centers. Michael’s earlier career encompassed serving as Operations Manager, Data Center Division at CEI, Group President – NW Region at SASCO, and Group / Project Executive at Cochran, Inc.

David Fiedler

Prior to Dropbox, Dave was fortunate enough to see the datacenter ecosystem from multiple vantage points, including infrastructure modularization as Director of Technology at Modular Power Solutions, datacenter planning and consulting as a Senior Consultant at Hewlett-Packard, and having started in datacenter design and construction at Page Southerland Page. He received his BSE from Duke University in Biomedical Engineering and is a licensed professional engineer.

Jeffrey Moerdler

Jeff Moerdler is chair of the Haynes Boone Data Center and Digital Infrastructure Practice and a real estate partner in the New York office. He has more than 40 years’ experience in general commercial real estate law. Jeff’s real estate practice includes acquisitions, sales, development, leasing, and borrower’s side financing. Jeff also has a particular focus on real estate challenges facing communications, technology and energy companies, and represents property owners and telecom companies in telecom real estate matters, particularly in data center development, acquisitions, sales, leases, colocation agreements and service level agreements. His clients include both large national companies and smaller, local clients, and includes representation of landlords and tenants in all types of leases; counseling owners and developers in the acquisition, sale, joint venture, development, and renovation of property as well as sale-leaseback transactions; advising lenders and borrowers in commercial loans; and the representation of all parties in real estate litigation. He is actively involved in settling real estate, partnership, and inter-family disputes. He also represents many not-for-profit entities and is active in health care, senior living, and educational real estate.

During the past 35 years, Jeff has developed considerable experience in the intersection of real estate with communications, technology, and energy issues. He has extensive experience representing landlords, tenants, developers, and communications service providers in the leasing, purchase, sale, and financing of data centers, colocation facilities, radio and television broadcast antennas, distributed and in-building wireless systems, rooftop antennas, and fiber-optic transactions as well as the wiring of buildings for broadband communications access. Jeff has also negotiated thousands of data center leases, master services agreements, colocation agreements and service level agreements, rooftop and cellular antenna leases, inside wiring agreements, and antenna tower leases throughout the country – covering over 500 million square feet.

He has also devoted a considerable portion of his practice to power and energy issues related to real estate and other technology matters, including large solar and wind installations, battery storage facilities, and bulk power purchases.

Jeff is a frequent speaker on real estate, data center, and telecom topics around the country. He is Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and on the faculty of the Advanced Commercial Leasing Institute. He regularly speaks as a panelist at data center, digital infrastructure and real estate conference around the United States. In addition, he is regularly quoted in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Bisnow, Commercial Property News, Real Estate Weekly, and other publications. He co-authored the first treatise chapter on telecom real law for Powell on Real Property in 1999.

Jeff has previously served in numerous governmental positions, including as a Commissioner of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, a member of the New York State Banking Board, a member of the New York State Financial Control Board, a member of the Departmental Disciplinary Committee of the Appellate Division of the First Department of the New York State Supreme Court, Assistant to the First Deputy Mayor of the City of New York, and assistant to the Deputy Borough President of the Borough of Manhattan. From 1981 to 1982, Jeff served as a law clerk to the Honorable Charles L. Brieant, US District Judge, and later Chief Judge, for the Southern District of New York.

Jeff is also an emergency medical technician on his local volunteer ambulance and President of his local chapter, as well as having served for 8 years on the Board of Trustees of the umbrella organization which is the largest volunteer ambulance service in the United States.

Before joining Dominion Virginia Power, Stan spent 9 years in the computer industry with AT&T and NCR in various financial roles supporting competitive sales organizations. Meadows II has worked in data center cooling since 1999.  He is currently the Director of Technology with STULZ USA, a manufacturer of precision air conditioning, humidification, and dehumidification products specifically designed for the data center.  Previously David has served as both the Design Engineering Manager and the Applications Engineering Manager at Stulz.  David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.  David is also a graduate of the United States Navy Nuclear Power School.

Buddy Rizer

Buddy Rizer serves as the Executive Director for economic development in Loudoun County, Virginia,

which was named the 2021 Economic Development Organization of the Year by the International

Economic Development Council. He leads the agency responsible for encouraging growth and

developing relationships with Loudoun’s business community in both the commercial and agricultural-

based business sectors. During his tenure, Rizer and his team have attracted more than $65 billion in

new commercial investment and more than 60 thousand new jobs. During this time, the growth in the

commercial based has helped lower the tax rate in Loudoun by more than 48 cents on the dollar, saving

residents thousands of dollars annually on their tax bill.

Mr. Rizer has been named a Tech Titan eight times by Washingtonian Magazine (2017 – 2024), one of

the 50 most influential Virginians six times by Virginia Business Magazine (2018 – 2023), a five-time

He has lent his expertise to client projects ranging from small system replacements to large scale cogeneration projects. As an expert in maintenance planning and processes, Jim has assisted clients in optimizing their operations, balancing the benefit of maintenance against the risk and cost associated with it.

Beginning his hands on education at SUNY Maritime College in Ft. Schuyler, NY where he was conferred a Bachelors of Engineering in Marine Engineering. Since finishing his undergraduate work, Jim has engaged in continuous education and training to expand the breadth of knowledge. Jim is a registered professional engineer in New York, and holds a Master of Science in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, in addition to Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Marist College Jim holds numerous other industry certifications, including DCEP, LEED AP, CXA to name a few.

He began his career and spent eight years at GE Energy working in engineering and sales worldwide.
