Jenny Wu is the Managing Director of Development for Jonathan Rose Companies who has been with the company since 2012. She brings a broad base of design and construction, finance, and development experience, and is responsible for leading the firm’s pivotal green development projects in the East Coast.

Prior to joining Jonathan Rose Companies, Ms. Wu was an architect for the New York-based architecture firm Rogers Marvel Architects where she designed and managed the construction of several adaptive reuse projects, including conversion of a piano factory into a non-profit film school and a mattress warehouse into a community soup kitchen.

Ms. Wu received a Master of Science in Real Estate Development degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Texas at Austin. She is a Registered Architect in the State of New York, LEED Accredited Professional, and actively serves on the Board of Women in Housing and Finance.

Anita Laremont advises clients on various land use, zoning, and development

matters.

Anita has worked with numerous large-scale economic development and land-use

projects in New York City and throughout the state.

Prior to joining Fried Frank, Anita was the Chair of the New York City Planning

Commission and Director of the Department of City Planning, having previously served

as its general counsel and executive director. She also served for many years as

general counsel of Empire State Development Corporation.

Anita received her JD from New York University School of Law in 1979 and her

BA, magna cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College in 1976. She is admitted to

practice in New York.

Eran Chen is the Founding Principal & Executive Director of ODA. Since establishing the office in 2007 he has become one of the most prolific and influential architects in New York. Chen has gained a reputation for delivering mold-breaking designs that hope to contribute to a better urban future. Seeking to reorder architectural priorities by putting people first, Chen challenges conventional perspectives of dwelling with hope that it will, over time, influence life in our cities.

Chen's work has been recognized by the American Institute of Architects and the Society of American Registered Architects. He is a frequent speaker at design and development forums around the world, as well as architecture schools including Columbia University where he is an Adjunct Assistant Professor.

His recent projects include the renovation of the former Postkantoor in Rotterdam, an urban plan in Chicago, and the conversion of a defunct parking garage into a public park and class A office building in Buenos Aires. His writings on architecture have been published in ODA’s book, Unboxing New York.

Dan Kaplan, FAIA, LEED AP, is a Senior Partner at FXCollaborative, a New York City-based architecture, interiors, and urban planning firm. Dan serves in a design leadership capacity for many of the firm’s complex, award-winning projects. Adept at creating large-scale, sustainable buildings and urban designs, he approaches every project with the mission that it must repair and elevate the larger urban, cultural, and natural contexts. Notable projects include 1 Willoughby Square (Brooklyn, USA), Allianz Tower (Istanbul, Turkey), Ministry of Taxation (Baku, Azerbaijan), 888 Boylston (Boston, USA), Fubon Financial Center (Fuzhou, China) and 3 Hudson Boulevard (New York, USA).

Sarah is a partner in the firm’s Construction practice group. She has extensive experience representing a wide array of construction industry clients, including property owners, real estate developers, commercial lessees, design builders, construction managers, design professionals, and contractors in transactional, corporate governance, risk management, and litigation matters. Her experience includes front-end advising on the selection of appropriate project delivery methods, drafting and negotiating complex design and construction agreements, risk management and insurance advising, and managing and litigating complex construction claims.

Prior to joining Thompson Hine, Sarah founded her own construction law firm representing a broad array of East Coast-based construction industry clients in transactional matters. Sarah also served as in-house counsel for one of the largest international architecture and engineering firms in the world, where she negotiated construction project agreements, managed complex construction litigation claims, and advised on corporate compliance, risk management, and insurance matters, both nationally and globally. Before serving as in-house counsel, Sarah developed expertise at a boutique construction law firm, where her practice included representing New York City-based construction industry clients on both transactional and litigation matters.

Sarah believes that every successful construction client relationship starts with an understanding of the unique aspects of a project. Through years of experience, she has developed a practical understanding of various project types, delivery models, and players, enabling her to expertly serve her clients during entity formation, project planning, contract negotiation, design and construction phases, and litigation. Her dual law firm and in-house counsel experience, as well as experience with both litigation and transactional work, gives her a unique business-centric perspective on advising clients on how to “get to yes” while appropriately mitigating risk.

Sam Charney is the principal and founder of Charney Companies, a Queens-based real estate development, property management, and brokerage firm that builds, owns, and operates more than 3 million square feet and 3,500 apartments across New York City. Since launching the company in 2013, he has led transformative projects citywide, beginning with his first solo development, The Jackson at 11-51 47th Avenue, which received the Queens Chamber of Commerce Award for Best New Multifamily Building. His work has earned numerous accolades, including Brooklyn Building Awards (2006, 2008), NYU’s Bart Lawson Award for Humanitarianism (2012) for his work with blind athletes, and Developer of the Year at the 2025 RED Residential Awards. Charney lives in New York with his wife and two children, serves on the boards of the Brooklyn Museum, Queens Museum, Pursuit, and the Brooklyn Public Library, and is an avid art collector.

Joel Breitkopf, Principal of Alchemy Properties, has been in the real estate industry his entire professional career. Joel is involved in all aspects of Alchemy’s developments and investments including acquisition, finance, design, construction, marketing and strategic planning and is a principal of Alchemy – ABR Investment Partners which acquires existing commercial buildings and develops in select major markets. He joined Alchemy in 1993. Previously, he was an executive at Commercial Bank of New York and was Vice President of Acquisitions and Finance for Himmel+Meringoff Properties. In this capacity he oversaw opportunistic acquisitions and structured bank workouts in the early 1990’s. Joel was also a real estate loan officer at the renowned Chemical Bank Realty and, prior to that, an analyst at LaSalle Partners, a national real estate advisor and predecessor to Jones Lang LaSalle. In 2013, Joel started a music therapy program for Veterans with PTSD, called Healing our Heroes, at the Music Conservatory of Westchester where he is now the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He was also President of B’nai B’rith Real Estate, and has been affiliated with numerous other industry groups and charities. Joel has financed well over $3 Billion in real estate transactions and has developed over 3,000,000 square feet of residential and commercial real estate during his career. He has lectured at the Yale University School of Architecture, the University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton Graduate School of Business, Cornell University and has been an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s Master’s Program in Real Estate. Joel is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Economics.

Terri L. Adler is a founding member of Adler & Stachenfeld LLP, the Managing Partner of the Firm, a member of the Management Committee, and the founding member of the Firm’s women’s initiative. Jackie Soffer is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Chairman of Turnberry, a privately held real estate development group based in South Florida. The largest development in North Miami’s history, when complete SoLē Mia will include 1.4 million square feet of retail, 37 acres of parks, 4,390 residences, crystal lagoons, a hotel, gourmet groceries, dining outlets, and market-leading entertainment and amenities.

Soffer is actively involved in management and development of all Turnberry’s hospitality and residential assets including Fontainebleau Miami Beach, one of the world’s top destination resorts, as well as Turnberry Isle Miami, a 300-acre resort and country club in South Florida, Turnberry Ocean Club Residences, a 154-unit ultra-luxury condominium and JW Marriott Nashville, a 533-room hotel located in downtown Nashville.

In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities for Turnberry, Soffer serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Washington Prime Group, a retail real estate investment trust with a portfolio of 120 enclosed regional malls and open-air lifestyle community centers. She is a member of the University of Miami Board of Trustees, and the Board of Trustees for the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami.

Simon Ziff serves as president of Ackman-Ziff, a position he assumed in 1995. Since joining the firm as an

Analyst in 1989, Simon has overseen the arrangement of 100+ billion of debt, mezzanine, and equity

financings for some of the nation’s foremost real estate developers and owners while simultaneously

solidifying the firm’s relationships with key capital sources. He engineered the firm’s unique,

collaborative culture and directed AZ’s evolution as an industry thought leader with over 50

professionals.

Simon received a B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in Real Estate

Finance from NYU. He has been recognized on multiple occasions by Penn State and NYU, as well as

being awarded REBNY’s first “Most Promising Commercial Salesperson” award, the “Most Ingenious

Deal of the Year” award six times and winning the prestigious Louis Smadbeck award.

Simon has also been active in many leadership roles for universities and not-for-profit

organizations. Simon has also been involved in teaching at University of Miami and NYU on families in

Real Estate.

Most recently, Simon has been lecturing at many undergraduate and graduate programs including a

course on Family Real Estate Business Management at NYU Schack.

Jonah Sonnenborn is Senior Managing Director and Head of Real Estate at Access Industries, the privately held global investment firm founded by Sir Leonard Blavatnik, which manages over $40 billion in assets across a range of sectors including media, entertainment, technology, biotech, and real estate. Since joining Access in 2013, Jonah has led its diversified portfolio of iconic real estate investments worldwide, including the Faena hotels in Buenos Aires, Miami and New York, Aman residences in Miami, the Belgrove Resort & Spa and Dutchman’s Pipe golf course in West Palm Beach, the Grand Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera, The Ocean Club in the Bahamas, Sunset Tower in Los Angeles, and One High Line in West Chelsea.

Previously, Jonah was a Managing Director at Dune Real Estate Partners. He spent his early career in investment banking at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs. Jonah holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a JD from Columbia Law School, where he was selected to Law Review. He graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Jonah serves on the boards of several privately held companies and is a member of the Real Estate Roundtable and the American Hospitality Investment Roundtable. He is Chairman of ULI’s UDMUC Gold and serves on the Executive Advisory Board of Columbia Business School’s Heilbrunn Center for Graham & Dodd Investing.

Greg Newman is Senior Managing Director, Originations for the Southeast Region of Bank OZK’s Real Estate Specialties Group. Widely recognized as one of the preeminent commercial real estate construction lenders in major markets throughout the United States, the Real Estate Specialties Group focuses on senior secured financing and has originated approximately $40 billion in loans over the past five years. The bank lends on most major property types, including mixed use, multifamily, condos, office, life sciences, hospitality and industrial.

Newman’s expertise in real estate investments, capital structuring and debt underwriting spans 37 years. Since joining Bank OZK in 2014, he has structured financing for some of its largest and most complex commercial real estate transactions and has closed 190 deals totaling over $16 billion. Prior to joining Bank OZK, Newman worked at Cohen Financial, iStar Financial, Fremont Investment Savings & Loan and Heller Financial.

Alexandra “Ali” Cooley is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Nuveen Green Capital. Ali co-founded Nuveen Green Capital (formerly Greenworks Lending) in 2015 and has served as CIO, COO, and CFO from its inception through its acquisition by Nuveen in April 2021. Under Ali's leadership, the organization has achieved exceptional growth: expanding from one state to over 40 states, scaling from zero to well over 700 individual assets, growing the team from two to nearly 100 professionals, and raising over $5 billion in assets under management.

Prior to co-founding Greenworks, Ali oversaw and managed the development of over $100 million in innovative financial products to deploy clean energy by leveraging private capital at the Connecticut Green Bank, the nation’s first green bank.

Ali graduated with a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA/MEM from Yale University. She currently serves on the advisory board of the Center for Business and Environment at Yale and is a member of the YPO Manhattan Chapter.

Peter S. Borock is a shareholder in the Real Estate Practice of Greenberg Traurig’s New York office. Peter advises private equity sponsors, operators, developers, investors, and tenants on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions. His experience includes the acquisition, development, financing, disposition, and leasing of various classes of commercial real estate, including office, retail, health care, hospitality, industrial, multi-family, and mixed-use properties.

In addition to handling commercial real estate transactions, Peter has deep experience advising public transit agencies on infrastructure and other transit oriented development projects.

Margarette Lee is a Principal and CEO of Young Woo & Associates LLC. She leads the organization’s legal, construction and development activities with an emphasis on leading new initiatives and settings the firm’s strategic direction. Over her nearly four-decade real estate career, Margarette has created and defined projects across a range of various assets—from retail and entertainment to luxury residential and hotel as well as transformational office spaces. Her most renowned projects include the Sky Garage, Google-P57, Dekalb Market, Radio Hotel and Office Tower and Chozos, a luxury hotel/glamping in Argentina. She has proven her ability to manage complex projects and to deliver them on time and on budget. Her comprehensive development and operational skills have been essential to the company’s success.

Ms. Lee is a licensed attorney in the states of New York and in New Jersey. She is currently a trustee of NYU Schack Institute; board member at the Holy Name Hospital and; she recently served as a governor of Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY). She also served as a member of the Board of Trustees at the Queens Museum of Art for many years and currently serves as a founding board member of the Canal Project, a non-profit contemporary art institution dedicated to underrepresented and emerging artists. Ms. Lee was an honoree of the KAFSC (Korean American Family Service Center) for her philanthropic work and is a recipient of a Proclamation from the City Council of New York and an Honoree of the Queens Museum of Art.

Erik Rutter is the Managing Partner of Oak Row Equities, with more than 15 years of experience in real estate ownership, development, capital raising, finance, and asset management. Since founding Oak Row Equities, he has grown its portfolio to over 6mm gsf and $4bn of deployed capital. Prior to founding Oak Row Equities, Mr. Rutter worked at Tishman Speyer. He earned a B.A. in English and History from Georgetown University and resides in Miami and New York City with his wife and daughter.

Ron Moelis is a Partner and the co-founder of L+M Development Partners and its affiliated companies. He is a founding member of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing and the co-chairperson of Building Skills NY.

Ron serves on the Board of Trustees of the Tenement Museum and the Board of Trustees for Montefiore Health Systems. He is also on the National Advisory Board at the Netter Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania, and the Advisory Board at the Furman Center at New York University.

A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he holds both a B.A. in history and a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School and a J.D. from New York University. He was named Entrepreneur of the Year for Real Estate in 2012 by Ernst and Young for his many years of innovation and creativity in real estate finance and development.
