Ms. Boneham oversees Barings' Central Region equity investment and management activities including acquisitions, joint ventures, asset management and dispositions. Barings maintains a multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio of all major product types with over 50 investments in the Central Region. Ms. Boneham also serves as Portfolio Manager for one of Barings' Separate Accounts. Prior to joining Barings in 2013, Ms. Boneham spent 16 years as a Portfolio Manager and Managing Director for Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management, formerly known as RREEF. In her time there, she was the lead Portfolio Manager for several public and corporate pension fund separate accounts, including the firm’s largest separate account with assets under management in excess of $1.5 billion. She also was President of RREEF America REIT, Inc., the company’s first private Real Estate Investment Trust, and other comingled funds during her tenure. Earlier in her career, she was at Equity Office Properties and Jones Lang LaSalle. Ms. Boneham earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a BBA degree from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. Rajen Shastri has spent over 12 years working in senior management roles across the spectrum of the commercial real estate value chain, from being an investment professional at a global real estate institutional investor to acting as a Principal at an operator/developer. His vision for Akara partners is to offer investors the ability to participate with a vertically integrated real investment firm, allowing them to capture value from the elimination of the inherent information asymmetry between investors, operators and developers.

Prior to founding Akara Partners in 2013, Rajen was a Principal, CIO and Co-COO of Campus Acquisitions (“CA”) a developer and operator of student housing assets from 2009-2013. While at CA, Rajen led the capitalization and monetization of over $1 billion in student housing assets across the U.S., including the $627 million sale of a portfolio of assets to American Campus Communities (NYSE: ACC) in 2012.

Prior to CA, Rajen worked at Syndicated Equities and Jones Lang LaSalle, where he identified and structured commercial real estate investments across asset types both in the U.S and Internationally.

Rajen has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He serves on the Kellogg Alumni Real Estate Board, is a member of YPO, Windy City Chapter and is on the Board of Advisors for the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin School of Business.

David Schwartz

Mr. Schwartz co-founded Waterton with Peter Vilim in 1995 and serves as CEO and Chairman. Mr. Schwartz is responsible for strategic decisions and leadership of the firm’s business activities and operations, and participates on the Management and Investment Committees.

Prior to co-founding Waterton in 1995, Mr. Schwartz was a vice president of acquisitions for Equity Residential Properties Trust (EQR-NYSE) and from 1985 through 1989 was with AMLI Realty Co.

Mr. Schwartz holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. He is a member of the executive committee, a senior officer and chairman of the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC). He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is previous chairman of the ULI Multifamily Blue Council and a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). Mr. Schwartz is a member of the Advisory Council for the Pritzker School of Medicine and the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Chicago, and serves on the Strategic Advancement Committee for the US Holocaust Museum and Memorial in Washington D.C.

Derek Lopez

Derek Lopez joined GEM Realty Capital in 2017 and is the Head of Acquisitions for GEM Realty

Properties. Mr. Lopez is responsible for overseeing the acquisitions team as well as sourcing real estate

investment opportunities on behalf of GEM’s private equity funds. As a member of the Investment

Committee, Mr. Lopez is also involved in setting investment strategy for GEM Realty Properties and

GEM Realty Securities.

Prior to joining GEM, Mr. Lopez was Head of U.S. Acquisitions at LaSalle Investment Management,

where he oversaw the team responsible for sourcing, underwriting, and executing U.S. investments. Mr.

Lopez also served on LaSalle’s North American Private Equity Investment and Allocation Committees.

Prior to joining LaSalle in 2005, Mr. Lopez was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at J.P.

Morgan Chase in Houston. Mr. Lopez received an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at

Bob Flannery serves as Chief Operating Officer at CA Ventures with a focus on CA’s national multifamily development platform, along with involvement in CA’s strategic planning, acquisitions, capital markets and asset management activities. Bob is also active in decisions regarding the holding, selling, repositioning and refinancing of CA assets.

Prior to joining CA Ventures, Bob was Chief Operating Officer at JRG Capital Partners and Chief Financial Officer at Jameson Real Estate, an affiliated company of JRG.

Bob has over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate and executive leadership. He has worked for many of the industry’s top firms, including Prudential Insurance, JP Morgan Chase and Sam Zell’s Equity Office. Richard Aaronson

Richard Aaronson is CEO and Founder of Atlantic Realty Partners. He is responsible for all of the firm’s

operations throughout its two operating regions -- the Southeast based in Atlanta and the Midwest based

in Chicago -- including development, construction, leasing, and property management. ARP is a private

real estate development and management company headquartered in Atlanta. Through affiliated entities,

it currently owns and manages over 3,000 apartments. It has developed mixed-use and residential

projects with over 6,000 apartments and condos and an aggregate value of over $1.5 Billion since its

inception. It is currently developing eight new multifamily communities in Atlanta (3), Chicago (1),

Milwaukee (1), and South Florida (3) containing over 2500 apartments. Richard received his BS in

Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and his MBA from Emory University. He is a past-president

of both the Atlanta Apartment Association and the Georgia Apartment Association.

Joanna Zabriskie

Jim Bachner

Jim is responsible for all property types and is the firm's senior multifamily acquisitions officer. Jim was with JMB Realty Corporation from 1981 until 1994, when JMB's advisory business was acquired and merged with Heitman. Prior to joining Heitman, he was associated with the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co.

Matthew Fiascone

Matt Fiascone, president of The Habitat Company, has led a full range of real estate development and investment activities for more than 30 years. Since joining The Habitat Company in 2011, Matt has been instrumental in strategizing, executing and managing capital events including development joint ventures, recapitalization of existing ventures and acquisitions. Matt has also established new relationships for both debt and equity, as well as strategic partnerships.

As president he leads the creation and integration of the vision and growth of Habitat. During his tenure he has overseen the expansion of the company's footprint and assets under management with a focus on continuously enhancing the company's culture for its team members, partners and residents.

Previously, Matt served as senior vice president for Inland Real Estate Development Corporation, where he originated and implemented real estate transactions involving assets valued at over $1 billion and negotiated and managed equity joint ventures.

Matt serves as vice chairman of the Board of Directors of Inland Bank and Trust and is a member of Lambda Alpha (a Land Economics Honorary Society), the Urban Land Institute and the National Multifamily Housing Council. Matt has been a frequent speaker and panelist for industry events. In addition, he is a licensed real estate broker in Illinois, Florida, Wisconsin and Missouri.

John Murphy

Recognized as one of the leading real estate experts in Chicago for his development, advisory and management skills, Mr. Murphy has been on the real estate scene since 1989. As President of Murphy Asset Management, LLC, he develops corporate opportunities, advances company initiatives and serves as a principal and advisor to institutional clients. He also leads development initiatives and has been involved in various equity syndications for the acquisition and repositioning of assets across the United States.

Primarily as a principal and owner, Mr. Murphy has been involved in, and in most cases, led the development and repositioning of several million feet throughout the Midwest and East Coast. His recent notable accomplishments include Lincoln Park 2550, a prestigious three-tower, 219-unit luxury condominium development in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood; the Hyatt Centric “The Loop” Chicago,” a redevelopment of 100 W. Monroe, a 183,275 square foot historic office high-rise in Chicago into a 257-room, full-service hotel; the 88,000 square foot redevelopment of the Chicago Motor Club building at 68 E. Wacker into a 143-room, select-service Hampton Inn; and a 237,200 square foot redevelopment of the Oriental Theater Building at 32 W. Randolph into a 199 room Cambria suites hotel. He is also actively involved in the development of a 227-acre private marina and beach resort on Lake Erie in Ohio.

Over the years, Mr. Murphy has also brokered high-profile properties such as the development site at 155 North Wacker and 200 West Jackson. Other notable past achievements include successfully leasing several Chicago properties such the Citadel Center, 200 North LaSalle and 230 West Monroe. Mr. Murphy received his bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University in Ohio. Susan Tjarksen

Susan Tjarksen joined Cushman & Wakefield in October 2018 serving as Managing Director of the firm’s multifamily investment sales team in Chicago. Susan co-founded KIG CRE in 2015 which was acquired by Cushman & Wakefield in 2018. She brings more than 30 years of real estate experience working with both private and public investment institutions throughout the country. Prior to brokerage, Susan was a leader in apartment and mixed-use development, having planned, built, designed, financed and delivered projects totaling more than $3.5 billion in revenue. She has also successfully developed and sold 12,000 residential units, 2,500 hotel rooms and more than 2M

square feet of retail and office space. Additionally, Susan is the co-founder and chair of Enodo, an AI-assisted multifamily underwriting and valuation platform. She is an active in the commercial real estate industry and her community. Susan is a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council, Roosevelt University’s MBIRE Advisory Board and the Lincoln Park Builders Club of Chicago.

Mr. Hites is Principal and Chief Investment Officer for The John Buck Company with primary responsibility for the development and implementation of investment strategy, oversight and coordination of the firm’s investment activities and the origination of new investment opportunities. Kevin also has direct responsibility for management of capital partner and investor relationships. Kevin is a member of The John Buck Company’s Investment Committee and Board of Directors.

Prior to joining JBC, Kevin was a Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer at Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, where he oversaw and coordinated the firm’s investment activities. Kevin invested over $2 billion in real estate across the U.S. on behalf of Pearlmark’s private equity funds during his 15-year tenure at the firm. Previously, Kevin was with ING Clarion Partners in New York, where he was involved in acquisitions and asset management. He also worked in Morgan Stanley Dean Witter’s Real Estate Investment Banking Group in New York.

Kevin earned his AB degree in Business Economics at Brown University and his MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He is an active member of Urban Land Institute (ULI).

James Letchinger

Jim Letchinger founded JDL Development in 1993 and to date, has developed more than 1,200 residential units with another 1,500 currently preparing to be in construction.

He launched his development career with a conversion of a 1940’s Benjamin Marshall building at 210 E. Walton St. in Chicago where he transformed 21 apartments into five unique residential condominiums. Mr. Letchinger quickly became known as one of Chicago’s most creative and respected residential developers, specializing in urban development where his expertise in entitlement and infill design provides a significant competitive advantage. Mr. Letchinger is intimately involved in all aspects of JDL’s projects, from inception to completion. His hands-on approach has helped JDL survive a number of real estate cycles.

Mr. Letchinger is a graduate of the University of Michigan. A life long resident of the City of Chicago, Mr. Letchinger is married with two grown children.

Adam Klingher

PAST EXPERIENCE: Adam has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience focusing exclusively on multifamily finance. Adam has has been involved in all facets of apartment lending. His expertise ranges from large high rises and large suburban garden complexes to smaller urban properties. Prior to creating CityLift, Scott served as Chief Operating Officer for Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust where he played a key role in establishing the single family rental industry as an institutional asset class—eventually taking the company public in 2014. Previous to this, Mr. Gable was with Wells Fargo Bank where he helped create the home equity lending business and ultimately served as its EVP of Operations across the United States. A frequent speaker and writer, Mr. Circ has written articles on industrial real estate strategy, industrial

real estate property classification, and sale-leaseback transaction structures for several real estate

industry publications. He has served as a reviewer for textbooks published by the Urban Land Institute

and as a guest lecturer at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
