Dr. Patel serves as the Chief Information Officer, HealthIT for Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He

has extensive experience in the use of Healthcare Information Technology to improve clinical and quality

processes. He has over 30 years of experience in implementing and advancing the use of computer

order entry systems and Electronic Health Records. He has worked with industry as well as other

healthcare organizations to think strategically and proactively about the use of clinical informatics tools

to transform the delivery of healthcare.

Dr. Patel received his Medical Degree from the University of Southern California. He completed his

Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Dr. Patel

joined the faculty of Vanderbilt in 1997 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics. He

obtained his Master of Public Health from Vanderbilt University in 2000. His clinical focus is on the care

of children in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit having served as the Medical Director. He is

currently Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, with adjunct faculty appointments in Anesthesiology and

Biomedical Informatics.

Using the combination of his clinical expertise, knowledge of healthcare information technology and

focus on workflow and logistics, Dr. Patel has developed key expertise in the intersection of clinical

space, clinician workflow and technology.

Chad DeRossett

Mr. DeRossett began his career interning with Holladay Properties, which led to a full time

position in Research & Appraisal in 2003. After several years performing analysis and Fair

Market Values, Chad transitioned into Brokerage concentrated in Leasing and Marketing

Medical Office Properties in 2008. He is part of the Nashville Brokerage Team, which is

responsible for the marketing and leasing of over 1.8 million square feet of medical office

properties. This team has an excellent track record of procuring new tenants and retaining

existing tenants and have brokered over $400M in real estate transactions over the past 15

years. They have received numerous awards and recognition from clients including “Most

Valuable Leasing Team” and “Highest Leasing Volume” across a national portfolio of brokers.

Chad also has extensive experience in tenant representation and market analysis.

Chad has achieved his CCIM Designation and is a licensed Broker in Tennessee, Kentucky,

Maryland, and Missouri. He is a member of GNAR, NAR, and is on the Board of the Middle

Tennessee CCIM. Chad DeRossett holds a B.S. degree in Business Management &

Administration from Middle Tennessee State University.

The Charlotte, North Carolina based firm has closed transactions valued at over $500 million since 2008 and has an active development pipeline in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The firm also acquires and develops self-storage facilities, currently 4,000+ units and 500,000 sf of self storage projects are under way or owned.

The Proffitt Dixon team has over 50 years of combined urban residential, mixed-use, multifamily development and investment experience in the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia, Alabama and California. The team’s experience spans from the development of high rise urban projects to suburban multifamily, apartment acquisitions as well as value-add investments. Throughout their careers, the partners have developed more than 7,900 multifamily units valued at greater than $1.6 billion.

Prior to forming Proffitt Dixon Partners, Stuart was the vice president of mixed-use development at Pappas Properties in Charlotte, North Carolina and the director of development for Champion Development Group in Los Angeles, California. Stuart graduated from North Carolina State University, and earned his Master of Business Administration and Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.

As Chief Development Officer, Travis Garland oversees the day-to-day business across all asset classes at Portman, playing a key role in shaping strategy, executing transactions, and driving the development of new and existing product types.

Previously, Travis served as Managing Director of Office at Portman, where he led transactions totaling over $4 billion in gross value, including leasing, operations, and dispositions. He is an active member of NAIOP and ULI. His achievements have earned him recognition as a NAIOP “Top Producer” in 2014 and 2018, as well as the #2 Producer in 2016, 2020, and 2021. He was also named one of Real Estate Forum’s 40 Under 40 in 2014 and has been recognized as a CoStar Power Broker from 2013 to 2021.

Travis holds a B.B.A. in real estate from the University of Georgia and is a licensed Broker in Georgia and North Carolina. He has been active in commercial real estate since 2005.

the Southeast as well as overseeing all commercial services for their Nashville portfolio. Dave is a Founding

Partner of the firm and possesses more than 17 years of focused industry experience, specializing in the

leasing, marketing, and development of Class A office and mixed-use properties across a variety of geographic

markets. Dave began his career in 2004 as a junior leasing broker for the Spectrum Companies in Charlotte,

NC and relocated to Nashville in 2010 to help Spectrum open the office with Pat Emery.

Over his career, Dave has successfully negotiated over 9.5 million SF of office leases with a total value of over

$1.1 Billion, and most recently (since 2013) led the visioning, development, marketing, and lease-up of four

speculative Class A office projects in the greater Nashville area totaling over 900,000 SF, with a combined

stabilized value of over $400 million. These development projects included Franklin Park, a forward thinking 71-

acre mixed-use campus in Cool Springs including two, 280,000 SF office towers, 18 th & Chet, a boutique office

development in the heart of Nashville’s iconic Music Row totaling 136,000 SF anchored by EY, and 17 th & Grand,

which is currently under construction representing the firm’s second Music Row office development and

consisting of 165,000 SF. These developments have been recognized by ULI and NAIOP as “Best in Class” and

have attracted companies such as EY, Schneider Electric, CKE Restaurants, UBS, RBC, Wework, and HCA.

Dave brings extensive experience and relationships throughout the Southeastern U.S. and has consistently

delivered outstanding results for an array of institutional clients in two of the most dynamic markets in the

Country, Nashville and Charlotte. Notable owner clients include JP Morgan Asset Management, Bank of

America Employee Pension Plan, CIM Group, and Yarbrough Capital. Dave was awarded the “Developing

Leader Award” in 2011 and has received the distinguished “Broker of the Year” award twice.

Dave is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and resides in Nashville, TN with his wife Elizabeth and two

Jason Holwerda

Jason Holwerda joined the Foundry Commercial team as the Nashville Market Leader in 2014 after spending the first 10 years of his career with Crescent Communities, LLC in leasing and development. As Market Leader Jason is responsible for the overall Nashville business unit and the day to day operation as well as maintaining and servicing a number of clients both local and institutional. Jason also serves as the deal principal for the Nashville region and responsible for sourcing and deploying Foundry capital in the region.

Throughout his brokerage career Jason has leased over 5 million square feet both on the Landlord and Tenant side of transactions which total more than $1 Billion in total lease transaction volume. In addition he has been instrumental in several office and industrial development projects, investment sales, acquisitions and dispositions. Jason's history in leasing and brokerage have enabled him to successfully work with some of the best clients, owners and tenants in the industry.

Personally, Jason is married to his wife (Jessica) with three boys (Jackson, Luke, and Brooks). Jason is an avid golfer and former collegiate basketball player with numerous recognitions and awards during his playing career.

Chris is the Business Development Director, Ohio at Nuveen Green Capital. Chris has over twenty years of experience in commercial real estate, including working in areas of accounting, asset management, acquisitions, dispositions, underwriting, financing and investor relations. Prior to Greenworks Lending, Chris was Vice President, Investor Relations at White Oak Partners. Additionally, Chris spent eleven years with Washington Prime Group, formally Glimcher Realty Trust, as Senior Director, Investments, where he sourced new acquisition opportunities, oversaw the financial underwriting function, managed the relationships with joint venture partners, and oversaw financial projections on development and redevelopment opportunities. He also spent 10 years at Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS), in the Real Estate Accounting and the Real Estate Investment Division, where he managed several portfolios totaling over $1.5 billion in market value consisting of various property types.

Chris received his MBA from The Dauch School of Business at Ashland University and his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in Ohio.
