Janet Miller has been a key player in Nashville’s commercial real estate community for over 30 years. She joined Colliers Nashville as CEO and Market Leader in September of 2014, following 21 years of service as the Chief Economic Development Officer for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce. During that time period, Miller led the ten-county region’s top agency for recruiting new companies to the region and working with existing companies on retention and expansion projects. Miller led a team that was named a top ten economic development group in America for 3 of the last 5 years of her tenure and successfully worked with over 400 corporations on major job-creation projects including Asurion, HCA, Beretta, Mars Pet Care, Nissan, Bridgestone, Dell Inc., BNY Mellon, UBS and numerous others. At Colliers, Miller is responsible for talent development, business and brand development and all operations for the Colliers Nashville office. The Colliers office has 40 brokers and a projected transaction volume for 2015 of $500 million. Prior to her career at the Chamber, Miller was Director of Research and Marketing for Fulton Vaughn Armstrong Angle, a commercial real estate brokerage firm in Nashville.

Sam Yeager is a co-founder and Principal of Bristol Development. Mr. Yeager is an entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry. Prior to forming Bristol Development with Ashlyn Hines and Dan Daniel, he and Dan Daniel launched a number of successful businesses in the real estate sector, including skilled nursing homes, assisted living facilities, acute care hospitals and medical office buildings.

He is also a co-owner with Dan Daniel of a substantial number of Burger King franchises in five states. He is a Certified Public Accountant and began his career with Arthur Andersen and Company. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas.

Glenn Wilson

Glenn Wilson has worked in commercial real estate development for more than a quarter century. Since forming SouthStar in 2001, Wilson has led the company in the acquisition of thirteen shopping center re-developments and eleven new developments totaling over $250 million in capital, and constructing new retail stores as the preferred developer for national chains such as Tractor Supply Company and Dollar General.

Before launching SouthStar, Wilson held increasingly responsible positions in the field of commercial real estate. He began his career as a commercial land broker in Dallas, TX. joining the Weston Companies (formerly Vantage Companies) of Memphis, where he became leading producer for all areas (office, industrial, retail). He then was promoted to vice president and managing director of Weston Companies-Nashville Retail Division, where he developed three shopping centers with a budget of more than $20 million. While at Weston, Wilson leased more than 1.5 million square feet of retail space with a value of more than $160 million, and was involved in the development or redevelopment of more than 2.5 million square feet of retail shopping centers. After Weston, Wilson formed Smith Crowe Wilson, LLC, which he helped grow to 70 employees with management of more than 6 million square feet of retail space in less than three years. Wilson also represented Home Depot for 10 years on the retail giant's site selections.

Wilson holds a real estate broker's licence in Tennessee, Mississippi and Kentucky, as well as the Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) designation fro the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University, where he received a bachelor's degree in finance and real estate. He serves on the advisory board for Search Ministries-Nashville and is a former board of Trustee member of Brentwood Academy and New Hope Academy. Wilson is married with three children.

Tim is a Managing Partner of Crosland Southeast and is responsible for strategic growth, management and capital markets. Prior to the formation of Crosland Southeast, Mr. Sittema served as President of Crosland Investment Services, Crosland’s leasing, asset and property management service business unit. From 2005-2009, he served as a Lead Developer for Crosland Retail where he focused on identifying and leading development efforts for new retail and mixed-use opportunities throughout the Carolinas, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Allen Arender has led the redevelopment and new construction

development of more than 750,000 square feet of commercial

office, medical office, and warehouse properties in Nashville as

well as structured multiple development joint ventures with

institutional investors. Mr. Arender led the development of the

36 acre office warehouse park, AmeriPlex at Elm Hill, and the

redevelopment of the 100 year old Sawtooth building now home

to Griffin Technology’s headquarters. These projects received

local and national excellence in development awards from

NAIOP, Urban Land Institute, and Metro Nashville Historic

Commission. Currently, he is leading redevelopment projects in

Germantown, Charlotte Avenue and the Elm Hill Pike corridor in

Nashville.

John Tirrill

Mr. Tirrill is the Managing Partner of SWH Residential Partners, LLC. He has twenty-seven years of experience in apartment investing, development, construction and operations. For eight years, he served as President and COO of Schaedle Worthington Hyde Properties, LP. He joined Schaedle Worthington Residential in 1993 as a Development Associate and became

a Partner in 1995.

Mr. Tirrill has provided asset management, due diligence and development/construction management services to clients that include real estate investment funds, individual investors and family investment partnerships. Mr. Tirrill began his career as a property manager for Jacques-Miller, Inc. and while there specialized in turnarounds of distressed apartment communities.

He lives in Atlanta and is active in the community serving as an Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church and a member of Georgia Organics Seed and Soil Society. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He and his wife, Greer, have two children.

Based in Nashville, Dave leads all of Hall Emery’s office and mixed-use development and investment activities in

the Southeast as well as overseeing all commercial services for their Nashville portfolio. Dave is a Founding

Partner of the firm and possesses more than 17 years of focused industry experience, specializing in the

leasing, marketing, and development of Class A office and mixed-use properties across a variety of geographic

markets. Dave began his career in 2004 as a junior leasing broker for the Spectrum Companies in Charlotte,

NC and relocated to Nashville in 2010 to help Spectrum open the office with Pat Emery.

Over his career, Dave has successfully negotiated over 9.5 million SF of office leases with a total value of over

$1.1 Billion, and most recently (since 2013) led the visioning, development, marketing, and lease-up of four

speculative Class A office projects in the greater Nashville area totaling over 900,000 SF, with a combined

stabilized value of over $400 million. These development projects included Franklin Park, a forward thinking 71-

acre mixed-use campus in Cool Springs including two, 280,000 SF office towers, 18 th & Chet, a boutique office

development in the heart of Nashville’s iconic Music Row totaling 136,000 SF anchored by EY, and 17 th & Grand,

which is currently under construction representing the firm’s second Music Row office development and

consisting of 165,000 SF. These developments have been recognized by ULI and NAIOP as “Best in Class” and

have attracted companies such as EY, Schneider Electric, CKE Restaurants, UBS, RBC, Wework, and HCA.

Dave brings extensive experience and relationships throughout the Southeastern U.S. and has consistently

delivered outstanding results for an array of institutional clients in two of the most dynamic markets in the

Country, Nashville and Charlotte. Notable owner clients include JP Morgan Asset Management, Bank of

America Employee Pension Plan, CIM Group, and Yarbrough Capital. Dave was awarded the “Developing

Leader Award” in 2011 and has received the distinguished “Broker of the Year” award twice.

Dave is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and resides in Nashville, TN with his wife Elizabeth and two

daughters, Maggie and Kate.

Scott Cloud

Scott is the Managing Director of Albany Road Southeast and is responsible for leading the Company’s Southeastern U.S. acquisitions and operations efforts out of Nashville, Tennessee. With over 20 years of capital markets experience, Mr. Cloud has been involved in all facets of the commercial real estate industry including acquisition, disposition, development and asset management. Prior to joining Albany Road, Mr. Cloud was Senior Vice President of Investments with Carter, an Atlanta-based investment and development company. In this role, he focused on sourcing new value-add and opportunistic real estate investments, leading Carter’s office acquisition efforts and pursuing new multifamily development opportunities. His responsibilities also included financing and due diligence of new Carter investments and development opportunities.

Before Carter, Mr. Cloud spent seven years at Parthenon Realty, an affiliate of AREA Property Partners as Vice President of Acquisitions. While at Parthenon, Scott was involved in the acquisition and disposition of value-add office product throughout the Southeast. Early in his career, Mr. Cloud was a Senior Associate with Trimont Real Estate Advisors, an Atlanta-based primary and special servicer with investment management responsibilities. Mr. Cloud has extensive experience and relationships throughout the Southeastern United States. Over his career, he has been involved with the acquisition, disposition and development of over 16 million square feet of real estate with a gross asset value of $2.0 billion. Since launching the Southeast platform in early 2014, Mr. Cloud has sourced the acquisition of over 3,500,000 square feet of office and industrial property in the Southeastern United States for Albany Road Real Estate Partners. He is an active member of the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. Cloud is a graduate of the University of Alabama (BS Finance) and The Hough Graduate School of Business at the University of Florida (MBA Finance).

Tony Wilbert is president and founder of Wilbert Public Relations Co., an upstart communications firm specializing in real estate. Tony founded Wilbert PR Co. after selling his interest in The Wilbert Group, a firm he founded in 2009 that grew to become the fourth-largest independent PR agency in Atlanta. Before venturing out on his own, Tony created and ran the National Real Estate Practice at Edelman and worked corporate communications at Home Depot Inc. Real estate is a natural focus for Wilbert PR Co. because Tony covered commercial real estate at Atlanta Business Chronicle, National Real Estate Investor and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution from 1996-2004. He currently satisfies his need to write about real estate through his blog Skyline Views (skylineviews.rocks). In 2015, Duke Long named Tony to his list, “Top 10 Most Influential Online Commercial Real Estate People."

Warren Smith is a Principal and Managing Director of Avison Young’s Tennessee Office. Prior to joining Avison young, Warren Smith was the Chief Executive Officer for Cushman & Wakefield | Cornerstone. Warren focuses on executing clients’ goals at the highest level by fostering a collaborative culture throughout the Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville teams. He plays an active role in supporting brokerage and management efforts to align client requirements with strategic business, financial, and operational objectives.Warren's business philosophy is based on building long-term client relationships, as well as growing Avison Young’s coverage of Tennessee through careful recruiting as well as retaining top talent throughout the company. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Warren was a Partner and President of Mid-South Financial Corporation, which was merged into Cushman and President and CEO of Q10/Vista Commercial Mortgage Group, which he remains actively involved and it remains separately owned. Warren has also served as an adjunct professor of Real Estate Finance at the Owen School of Business at Vanderbilt University. Beginning in the Real Estate Investment Division of MassMutual, Warren’s career in real estate spans over 25 years and covers several disciplines within the industry including mortgage finance, property management, leasing, sales, and acquisition. He has built an impressive client roster that includes Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, MassMutual, Summit Investment Partners, TRP Investments, and Canyon Johnson. J. Edward (Ted) Townsend III currently serves as chief of staff for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development where he oversees the department’s day-to-day affairs.

Prior to becoming chief of staff, Mr. Townsend was assistant commissioner of strategy where he oversaw all rural programs—including Select Tennessee, ThreeStar, Tennessee Main Street, Tennessee Downtowns and Retire Tennessee—along with federal grant programs that include Community Development Block Grants, the Delta Regional Authority and the Appalachian Regional Commission. Mr. Townsend has also served the department as TNECD regional director over the greater Memphis region comprised of Fayette, Lauderdale, Shelby and Tipton counties.

Additionally, Governor Haslam has appointed Mr. Townsend his official designee to the federal programs affiliation with the Appalachian Regional Commission and the Delta Regional Authority.
