Mr. Giarratana is a Principal at Giarratana Nashville LLC. He has been a real estate entrepreneur and developer for over 30 years. He worked with Merrill Lynch Realty Rodgers & Cummings in the Tampa Bay Area from 1979 to 1981. He moved to Denver in 1981 and served as Leasing Director for Urban Investment & Development Company until 1983. He moved to Nashville in 1984 and joined Aladdin Resources as director of leasing for Metro Center. From 1992 to 1994, he worked with Brazos, an affiliate of Robert M. Bass and the FDIC, in Los Angeles and Dallas where he participated in the acquisition and disposition of a $3.7 billion portfolio of notes and real estate. He returned to Nashville in 1994 following his purchase of the Cain-Sloan Department Store at 5th Avenue and Church Street. He recognized for his creative leadership in complex urban projects, he pioneered high-rise residential in Nashville’s central business district and SoBro. His Viridian was named 2007 Urban Land Institute “Development of the Year” by Atlanta District Council. He serves on the boards of Lipscomb University College of Business, Middle Tennessee Council Boy Scouts of America, and Nashville Downtown Partnership. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a Degree in Business Administration.

Don has extensive experience acquiring, developing, financing and selling real estate. He is skilled in recognizing attractive real estate opportunities and implementing the steps necessary to make each project a success.

Before forming Monroe, Don spent 15 years in commercial real estate acquisition, sales and development at firms that include Hiffman Shafer Associates, Inc.; Colliers, Bennett & Kahnweiler; Rubloff, Inc.; and VMS Realty Partners.

Don holds an MBA from Columbia University with concentrations in real estate and finance and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Haynes has been in the commercial real estate industry for over twenty-five years, sixteen of which were with the Trammell Crow Company. Since the opening of the Boyle Nashville office in 2001, Haynes has been responsible for the development of more than 1 million square feet of office and retail facilities, including headquarters for several Nashville based companies, and more than 5 million square feet of property in the planning and development stages. Haynes is known for his extensive attention to detail and excellence in real estate development, and in collaboration with the Boyle Nashville team, has received high accolades for Meridian Cool Springs, the recently completed mixed-use office development in Franklin, Tennessee. Haynes was also selected by Vanderbilt University as an adjunct professor at the prestigious Owen School of Business for a Real Estate Investment and Development course, which he has been teaching for the past five years.

John W. Eakin is co-founder and Chairman of Eakin Partners, and is also Chief Manager of several Eakin-managed real estate funds, which own about $300 million of properties and actively seek real estate investments and developments. Over the last 30 years, John has accumulated extensive hands-on experience in development, leasing and management, as well as a strong track record of realizing a company's vision and managing employees to that end.

John began his real estate career after graduating from the University of North Carolina in 1977. American General first employed John, where he oversaw retail, office and industrial developments. From 1980 to 1987, he was president and an owner of Carroll Properties. From 1980 to 1986, John successfully developed over 1 million SF of office space. In 1987, he formed his own firm, Eakin & Smith, Nashville's predominant office developer and leasing/management company at that time.

In April 1996, John merged Eakin & Smith with Highwoods Properties (HIW), a transaction valued in excess of $100 million. John was a Board Member, Senior Vice President and served on Highwoods Investment Committee.

During John's tenure with Highwoods, the company grew from $800 million to $4 billion. He oversaw company operations in several cities, including Nashville, which was one of the premier-performing regions for Highwoods.

In the fall of 1999 John formed Eakin Partners, which manages leases and develops commercial property. Eakin Partners developed Virginia Way Plaza and oversees the Real Estate Fund, which owns Burton Hills I and II, and is an owner of Roundabout Plaza and SunTrust Plaza, and other Eakin-developed buildings. The company is also very active in tenant representation and corporate real estate consulting.

Brian Gordon is executive vice president for Magellan Development Group LLC, is responsible for evaluating residential, retail and mixed-use development opportunities nationwide. In addition to this key role, Mr. Gordon manages and coordinates development activities related to financing, governmental, design and sales strategies at numerous existing projects. These projects include both land and building development efforts related to Lakeshore East, the company’s premier undertaking to date.

Gordon is a 19-year veteran of the real estate industry. Prior to joining Magellan, while at ORIX Real Estate Equities, he was responsible for approximately 3.5 million square feet of retail development projects in excess of $500 million in the United States and Canada. Gordon has extensive experience in site selection, contract negotiations, due diligence, entitlements, finance, lease negotiation and asset management.

Gordon has completed projects with many of the nation’s premier retailers including the following tenants: Albertsons (Jewel/ Osco), Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Borders Books & Music, Carson Pirie Scott, Circuit City, DaimlerChrysler, Darden Restaurants, Famous Footwear, Home Depot, Kohl’s, Kmart, Lowes Home Improvements, Michael’s Crafts, Nordstrom Rack, OfficeMax, PetSmart, Pier 1 Imports, Regal Cinemas, Sears, Staples, Target, TJ Maxx, Tweeter, and Wal-Mart.

Gordon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance and a Master of Science in Real Estate Appraisal and Investment Analysis, both from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He is a licensed Illinois Real Estate Broker, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a member of the University of Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association.

As a Senior Director in Altus Group’s State & Local Tax and Advisory practice where he

specializes in real property tax matters, Ross Litkenhous heads a highly responsive

team overseeing a $60 billion real estate portfolio consisting of assets owned by various

REITs, institutional investors and other real estate owners including both regional and

local companies. Other areas of specialty include analyzing and appealing centrally

assessed property for energy companies, as well as regulated and non-regulated

utilities throughout the country.

Mr. Litkenhous has experience managing a number of projects with the General

Services Administration (GSA), focusing on real estate valuation and analysis of real

estate tax liability for the United States government’s national leased portfolio. He

also leads a number of initiatives related to property tax analytics and benchmarking

technologies.  His efforts have resulted in the development of several property tax

modeling capabilities that accurately predict and project real estate tax liabilities related

to new acquisitions and developments.

He is regularly featured as a guest speaker at various industry events on topics related

to real estate trends, property tax issues, green building valuation and sales leadership.

Alex Marks is the Principal of Royal Investments, LLC. Royal is a real estate investment and development firm which develops residential, commercial and hospitality related properties. Originally from California, Marks has extensive hands-on experience in the acquisition, financing, development, management and disposition of complex projects located throughout the country. Since arriving in Tennessee in 2004, he has worked on more than thirty properties around the state, including purchase of sale of large tracts of downtown Nashville property and the redevelopment of three historic buildings on Broadway Street.

Marks is currently developing the new 169-room Dream Hotel located on historic Printer’s Alley. Set to open in late 2018, Dream Nashville includes the iconic Utopia Hotel building, fully restored with its original stone exterior, wood flooring and crown molding, which will be attached to a new 10-story tower and will feature six experiential dining and nightlife venues on Fourth Avenue North and Printer’s Alley.

With over four decades of experience and nearly 30 years with Dream Hotel Group, Stein has worked in a variety of property and corporate roles at some of the world’s leading hospitality groups and boutique lifestyle brands, including Hilton Worldwide, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Doral Hotels.

Jay Stein began his career in 1983 with Hilton Worldwide at the Vista International Hotel in the World Trade Center in New York City. A veteran of food and beverage management, Stein turned his sights to hotel operations in 1987 and quickly rose through the ranks to become Managing Director for three Doral Hotels in New York City. In 1995, after taking two of those properties through the transition to Starwood, Stein stayed on as Area General Manager for almost three years with Starwood. He joined Dream Hotel Group as Executive Vice President of Operations in 1997 and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer soon thereafter overseeing all new and existing hotel operations and playing a vital role in the company’s global expansion efforts. Stein was named Chief Executive Officer in 2015.

An engaged professional dedicated to making a difference, Stein is a true ambassador for the industry, having spoken on numerous panels at conferences worldwide and having served as adjunct professor for the Hospitality programs at NYC College of Technology and New York University.

Mr. Robert E. Buccini is a Co-founder and Principal of The Buccini/Pollin Group, Inc. and serves as its Co-President. He serves as Executive Director of Mid Atlantic Hotel Portfolio Investors LLC. Mr. Buccini leads The Buccini/Pollin Group general non-hotel real estate development activity. Prior to co-founding BPG, Mr. Buccini was an Assistant Vice President for real estate development at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (EDC). While at the EDC, his projects included the Times Square-Disney redevelopment project, Brooklyn’s Metro Tech, the city’s first information technology building, and the New York City Discovery Fund (a $50 million venture fund investing in New York City based technology companies). Prior to that engagement, Mr. Buccini was a Broker and Senior Analyst for Kenneth D. Laub & Company, a commercial real estate brokerage firm based in New York City. Mr. Buccini is Chairman of the Wilmington Housing Partnership, Director of The Rodel Foundation of Delaware, Treasurer of Opera Delaware and Chairman of Delaware State University’s Annual Campaign. Mr. Buccini received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University.

Wes brings over 30 years of experience to Marcus & Millichap. Previously, he managed the Hospitality

Practice for Grubb & Ellis/Centennial and held several senior executive positions within the hospitality

and commercial real estate industries. Some of these positions include Managing Partner of Real Stone

Solutions, President of Affinis Consulting Group, and SVP & Head of Project Development & Technical

Services for the Americas at IHG. In addition, Wes spent 13 years with Hilton Hotels as the Senior

Director of Capital Asset Management. Wes has also been involved with several professional groups

including AHLA and CCIM.
