Matt is responsible for managing all aspects of new development, including site selection and acquisition, design and engineering, contractor selection, municipal and other governmental approvals and financing of developmental projects including office, industrial, retail, healthcare, business parks and financial institutions.

His development background includes commercial property experience in the Twin Cities area since 2001. Prior to 2001, Matt assisted in golf course development with Intrawest Golf, based in Phoenix, AZ.

David Anderson is Senior Vice President of Frauenshuh, Inc. a Minneapolis based corporate services and

commercial real estate development, investment and management firm. As a commercial real estate

developer and advisor to corporate clients, Anderson applies his technical knowledge and skills in real estate

acquisitions, dispositions, development, entitlements, finance, negotiations and land use strategy to create

asset and portfolio value. Anderson’s clients range from small entrepreneurial enterprises to large

corporations with national and international real estate interests.

Anderson is actively involved in industry trade and business organizations including the National Association of

Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the Minnesota Commercial Association of Real Estate/Realtors

(MNCAR), among others. Mr. Anderson has previously served on the Advisory Board of the Urban Land

Institute (ULI) - Minnesota and is a past President of the Economic Development Association of Minnesota

(EDAM).

Anderson holds a B.A. in Local and Urban Affairs (economic development) from St. Cloud State University. He is

a licensed real estate salesperson and holds an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP)

certification from the National Development Council. David and his family reside in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Robert Riesselman is a licensed mechanical engineer with over 30 years of

experience in the design, construction, commissioning and operation of facilities in

heavy industry, high tech manufacturing and healthcare. Mr. Riesselman leads

Park Nicollet’s construction and facilities operations. Mr. Riesselman has an MBA

from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois and a BS in Engineering Operations from

Iowa State University.

Minnesota. Park Nicollet Clinic is one of the nation’s largest care systems. We care

for patients at 29 locations in the Twin Cities. These include primary and specialty

more than 960 doctors. It is a leader in cancer, heart, maternity and orthopaedic

care. It’s located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota.

Throughout his 30 year career, Jon has led teams on successful projects in several market sectors,

including health and wellness, corporate workplace, mission critical and higher education. This well-

rounded experience, coupled with his background in business leadership and client service, makes Jon a

trusted, respected leader. His 27-year focus in healthcare design, coupled with his background in

brings an energy that is unmatched, and uses that passion as a catalyst with clients and care teams to

bring forth numerous successful projects with healthcare providers locally, regionally, nationally and

internationally.

Jon’s most recent endeavors have embraced the Rochester area and in particular 2 sub districts for

Destination Medical Center: Heart of the City and Discovery Square. After spending much of the last 20

years of his career working on projects in Rochester area, he continues to serve as a passionate

connector and experienced facility strategy leader in the area. He is organically integrating knowledge of

place and importance of culture into every project. He openly engages community, civic and business

leaders in the design process to envision and create design responses that embrace the authentic

culture of Rochester while also embracing Rochester’s bright future as “America’s City for Health and

Wellness.”

In addition, Jon is always engaged and engaging. He has shared his planning, design and economic

development interests and insights throughout the Twin Cities as an active AIA member, a board

member for St. Paul’s Capital City Partnership, Minneapolis’ Downtown Council and as a Development

Sub-Committee member for INTERSECTIONS - the Minneapolis Downtown 2025 Plan.

Brent Webb, development executive at Mortenson, is integral in leading the company’s national Science and Technology business – focused on solving complex real estate challenges through innovative development solutions that advance his customers’ business goals. A hallmark of his career to date, is leading Mortenson’s partnership with Mayo Clinic to transform their innovation district, Discovery Square. Brent is inspired to work on projects that advance innovation and lead to new discoveries in science and technology to advance humanity.

While Brent is responsible for managing the entire spectrum of developments, including strategy, sourcing, project management, operations, partnerships and financing – his motivation comes from the opportunity to partner with industry leaders to strengthen the physical, social and economic fabric of the community, working together as a catalyst for sustainable and inclusive development.

Brent graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and for the past decade, has been actively involved in the downtown Minneapolis landscape – formerly serving as a board member for the Minneapolis Downtown Council, has co-chaired the Council’s Residential Task Force where he was awarded for his substantial contributions towards the success of Explore Downtown Living. He also serves on the board for PLACE, a local non-profit development company; volunteers with One Village Partners, an NGO that spurs economic development in Sierra Leon; and is a founder of the Hammer, an annual curling tournament supporting Hearts & Hammers, a non-profit that rehabs homes for elderly and disabled individuals in Minnesota

Bill Griffith is a shareholder for Larkin Hoffman in the firm’s real estate and land use practice group. He practices extensively in land use, zoning, real estate, environmental permitting and municipal law. Bill has served as legal counsel to Mall of America for more than 20 years and also serves as city attorney for the city of Columbus. In addition to his practice, he has been an adjunct professor in land use law at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. Bill has published articles and guest commentary in Urban Land, Minnesota Business, Minneapolis Star Tribune, St. Paul Pioneer Press and the Minnesota Real Estate Journal, and is a frequent speaker at seminars on land use, zoning, municipal and environmental law.

Mr. Ackerberg is Chief Executive Officer of Ackerberg, where he is responsible for generating new business along with quality control for development, acquisition, property management, leasing, and construction services.

Prior to forming The Ackerberg Group, Stuart served as General Partner, President and Chief Operating Officer for Birtcher Financial Services and was Vice President for Heitman Financial Services, Ltd.

He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, Lambda Alpha International, and serves as a director of Hope For The City, the Minneapolis Parks Foundation, and ULI Minnesota. He is also an advisory board member for the College of Design at the University of Minnesota.

Stuart was recognized in 2013 as one of Minnesota Monthly’s 75 Most Influential Minnesotans. In addition, in 2012 he was named an Inaugural Progress Minnesota Honoree by Finance & Commerce. In 2009, Stuart received the Community Effort Award and the Charles Nelson Award of Excellence from the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota and in 2008 he was honored as the Inaugural E.J. Plesko Distinguished Speaker Series in Real Estate Development from the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate, University of Wisconsin

Mr. Ackerberg and his family reside in the western Twin Cities at Indigo Acres, a “spiritual retreat”. Indigo Acres is a combination of historical experience through Native American dwellings including four 26-foot authentic Sioux tipis, an 1860 English Chateau, an 1880 cottage, and 150 acres of trails, ponds, sculptures, woods, a river, and “magic”. Also at Indigo Acres, he and his wife, Romy, operate a state-of-the-art breeding and training facility for American Saddlebred show horses.

In his new role as executive vice president, Jacobson will oversee the company’s project development and preconstruction teams, operations directors and field operations of all Twin Cities and non-metro offices, including Madison, Wis., Bismarck, N.D., and Duluth, Bemidji and Rochester Minn.

Jacobson joined KA in 1992 as project manager and rose through the ranks to provide oversight of KA’s Circle Pines office and non-Twin Cities offices in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota. He rose to senior vice president in 2005 and has provided significant project development for the entire construction company.

Jacobson is recognized for his leadership working with architects, developers and subcontractors, and working seamlessly with all levels of government. He has been responsible for hundreds of major national construction projects, including those in education, retail, healthcare, hospitality, recreation, industrial and residential developments.

Jacobson serves as co-chair of the legislative committee at Associated General Contractors of Minnesota, and has served on the boards of Woodbury Public Safety, Minnesota Construction Association, CornerHouse and University of Wisconsin-Stout Alumni Association, and the Stout Industry advisory board. He attended the FMI Leadership Institute and is also a member of Allied Executives, and past member of the International Council of Educational Facility Planners, International Council of Shopping Centers and Center for Educational Performance and Information, a nationally active organization of educational professionals. He received his B.S. in Construction Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Menomonie.

With nearly 20 years experience on a wide range of complex, high-profile projects – including Shanghai Tower, Manila’s Finance Centre Tower and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago – Sasha strives to design beautifully crafted, high performance buildings for clients around the globe. He serves as a Design Director in Gensler’s Chicago office and the Tall Buildings Practice Area Leader for the firm’s North Central region, working to deliver innovative solutions for clients through his continued passion for excellence. In the professional community, Sasha is a strong contributor to organizations such as UN-Habitat and the International Council for Caring Communities (ICCC); has authored numerous white papers; and serves as the Chicago chapter chair of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), in addition to playing an active role with its Young Professionals Committee. He is a sought-after speaker for conferences and is a frequent lecturer at local, national and international universities. Sasha holds a B.Arch. and M.Arch. from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, as well as an M.Arch. from the University of Illinois in Chicago.

Bill Baxley is the Managing Director of the Minneapolis office, with more than 30 years of experience, and 24 in the Twin Cities region specifically. Bill understands successful design extends beyond a building’s walls to the broader community. Through an approach that emphasizes dialogue, transparency and inquiry, Bill leads teams in the creation of designs that support the dynamic framework of life. His work on public, corporate and educational projects has been recognized locally and nationally. Most notably, The Toro Company Bloomington won an AIA Honor Award, the Minnesota Fallen Firefighters Memorial in St. Paul won Architizer’ s People’s Choice Award, and Colle + McVoy Advertising in Minneapolis won an IIDA Honor Award.

Matt Lewis is the Director of Make It. MSP. He works with more than 100 companies, local governments, foundations, and community organizations to implement network strategies to better retain and attract talent. Matt studied cross-sector collaboration at the University of Minnesota, earning his MBA from the Carlson School of Management and master’s degree in Public Policy at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. He has worked and consulted for Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit organizations on strategic marketing initiatives and public affairs campaigns, and serves in leadership positions on local civic boards including Conservation Minnesota. Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and worked as a journalist in Wisconsin and Washington, D.C. before returning home to MSP.
