Arnaud Karsenti is the Managing Principal of 13th Floor Investments where his core focus is on management and growth of the firm. Mr. Karsenti is primarily responsible for the general direction of the firm’s investment strategy and overall capitalization. In this capacity, Mr. Karsenti’s role is one of new business origination, deal structuring, and investor relations.

Mr. Karsenti has been active in the real estate business since 2003 when he began his real estate career assembling and developing land parcels in Miami’s urban cores. These initial one-off acquisitions led to the creation of 13th Floor in 2007, which has acquired, developed and managed over $1.5 billion in real asset value since inception. These transactions have ranged from property acquisitions to restructuring of distressed debt, fractured residential inventory, community district development bonds, and a host of joint venture structures.

Prior to founding 13th Floor, Mr. Karsenti founded Collegeboxes, the nation’s leading college-based shipping and storage companies, which was acquired by U-Haul in 2004. Mr. Karsenti is an active member of the Young President’s Organization, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and a variety of other local and national philanthropic organizations. Mr. Karsenti graduated cum laude from the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and holds an MBA from the Harvard School of Business.

Mr. Ludeman drives the company’s advisory business for investors, including responsibility for equity sales, debt and structured finance and real estate investment banking. In 2014, the company was the intermediary for more than $220 billion in capital markets engagements. He serves as a member of the Global Operating Committee and the Americas Operations Management Board.

During his 35 years in the industry and with CBRE, Mr. Ludeman has served in several key management roles, including at various times serving as the President of various businesses including Brokerage, Transaction Management and Global Corporate Services. In these roles, Mr. Ludeman was responsible for all transaction units in the Americas as well as corporate outsourcing functions such as facilities management, project management, lease administration, transaction management and research and consulting. Prior to his national and international roles Mr. Ludeman served in several regional and local market leadership positions across the United States.

Mr. Ludeman began his career in 1980 with CBRE as a trainee.

Marc Suarez

Marc Suarez is a managing director at Lument. Based in Miami, Florida, he originates loans utilizing Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD/FHA, and proprietary programs for multifamily housing.

Since joining predecessor firm Hunt Real Estate Capital and opening the Miami office, Marc and his team have originated more than $600 million in financing.

Previous employment includes serving as an executive managing director at SL Capital, where he originated $300 million in CMBS loans. He also ran his own consulting firm working on distressed debt, was a partner at a boutique development company, and was a general manager at Gables Professional Realty where he established and ran the firm’s commercial real estate division.

Marc was a professional baseball player for the Cincinnati Reds and later held a management position on the scouting and player development department.

Marc is an active member and sits on committees of the Boys and Girls Club of Miami-Dade County, where he spent most of his childhood. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University.

planned community designed by Chad Oppenheim and Roney Mateu.

With a unique interest in education, the arts and health foundations, David is actively

involved in South Florida’s civic and business communities. He and his wife support several

organizations with philanthropic contributions, including Miami Children's Health

Foundation, Vizcaya Museums and Gardens, and the Wolfsonian FIU. He’s also an

advisory board member for the UM School of Architecture Real Estate Development +

Urbanism program and a member of the Latin Builders Association. David and his family

are also responsible for the donation of the Freedom Tower to Miami Dade College in 2008.

David is a graduate of the University of Florida with a master in business administration.

It was ultimately developed as L’Atelier; She developed Azure, a luxury Condominium in Surfside, and also developed a 175-room Marriot Residence Inn in Surfside.

Coltrane's current development involvement is the anticipated mixed-use condominium development in North Beach, planned for the corner of Collins and 72nd Street. It will be the first brand new development of its kind in Miami Beach administered by a well-known lifestyle operator. It will have 20,000 SF of ground-floor retail, 228 residential condominiums, some of which will be micro-units that will be available for short-term rentals.

Coltrane’s vision and energy, her vast real estate experience, her ability to anticipate market needs and to identify patterns of growth in key areas, place her among South Florida’s most influential female developers.

He is the author of the book “Real Estate Development and EB-5 Visas” published by Amazon and available in Apple’s iBook store, and is also a regular speaker and consultant on the subject. He has spoken to a wide range of audiences at locations including Caracas, Buenos Aires, Quito, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and many others.
