Chad is the Chief Creative Officer of DJM Capital, a CRE developer and operator with 3M square feet in their portfolio including well-known turn around projects like Lido Marina Village and Ovation Hollywood as well as daily needs centers across California.

Chad oversees all creative for DJM properties and brings an extensive and diverse background in both retail and Brand Creative/Marketing. Chad has launched and grown several brands in the lifestyle fashion industry which gives him a fresh perspective and insight into the ever-changing retail landscape. Chad understands the big picture and how to cast vision, execute on strategy, and connect with consumers. He loves telling a good story through every touch point in a brand.

He has been instrumental in the $80M reimagining of Ovation Hollywood, which DJM acquired with Gaw for $325M, taking a poorly designed tourist trap and transforming it into a community hub that is winning back locals and tourist alike.

Experiential retail and food are both powerful assets for DJM properties and they are essential building blocks for maintaining consumer relevancy and hang time.

Lionel Uhry joined Mar Ventures in 2006 and is the Sr. Vice President and Director of Acquisitions & Development for Mar Venture’s investment fund and development activities. As Sr. Vice President, Lionel oversees and directs the origination, underwriting, financing, and closing activities of Mar Ventures. Lionel is also an Adjunct Professor in Real Estate at the University of Southern California.

During his time at Mar Ventures Lionel has played a crucial role in numerous projects totaling over 2,000,000 SF of development and entitlements, including the 378,00 SF Plaza El Segundo retail center, the 220,000 SF elevon creative office campus, the 155,000 SF Del Rey Crossing creative office project, and most recently the Los Angeles Chargers NFL Headquarters and training facility

Oli Barry is co-founder of Village Workspaces, a boutique flexible workspace designed for inspiring work. Village Workspaces is located in West Los Angeles. Originally from the UK, Oli has been involved in LA’s coworking industry since 2013. Oli is passionate about community, entrepreneurship, and he truly enjoys watching members of Village Workspaces thrive in their work environment.

Prior to his career in coworking, Oli had a successful career in film. As a director and showrunner, he has won a British Academy Award, a Grierson Award, and multiple TV nominations. He has also won an editing award at Cannes. His filming has taken him all over the world from filming gangs in San Salvador, to filming water in Rwanda, and to working extensively with the Prince of Wales.

Oli is crazy about his family and is a little bit of a geek when it comes to Star Wars, James Bond movies, and David Bowie.

Benjamin Arcia received a Master’s in Urban Design from the University of Miami School of Architecture in 2011. His work has involved various facets of the built environment, including prefab housing, carpentry, and landscape architecture. In addition to his hands-on experience, Benjamin’s skillset includes digital 3d modeling and rendering, visual presentation, and construction documentation.

Since 2013, Benjamin has worked with Landscape Architect David McCullough, consulting on the planning, design, and construction of a variety of projects that include mixed-use infill, affordable housing, commercial repositioning, and transit-oriented development. Past clients have included Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Gafcon, and Malick Infill Development.

Half-Cuban, half-Nicaraguan, Benjamin is bilingual and bicultural. Between late 2018 and early 2020, Benjamin took a sabbatical to travel from Colombia to Patagonia and volunteered on organic and biodynamic farms throughout. An avid cyclist and backcountry trekker, his past hobbies include downhill longboard racing, competitive sailing, and martial arts. Benjamin and his fiancé live with their cat and dog in downtown San Diego.

A little known fact about Benjamin is he holds a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.

Brian Kang, Chair of Greenberg Glusker’s Real Estate Group, has experience in a wide range of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing of commercial, retail, multifamily, and industrial properties.

Brian’s clients include real estate investors, developers, financial institutions, national universities, and REITS. Brian is also active within the Los Angeles community. He currently represents the Korean American National Museum on a pro bono basis as the museum’s real estate counsel. Brian has also been on the Board of Governors for the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California since 2013 and served as President of KABA-SoCal in 2018.

Recognized for his work in Real Estate Law, Brian has been recognized in the Best Lawyers in America list since 2018 and in Southern California Super Lawyers since 2013. In 2021, Brian was also selected to Los Angeles Times’ Commercial Real Estate Visionaries List: Professional Service Advisors.

Justin Chausse is a Managing Director with Invesco Real Estate. In this role, he is responsible

for sourcing and structuring senior and mezzanine loans across all property types for the

commercial real estate credit lines of business with a primary focus on the Western Region.

Justin began his investment career in 2006 and joined Invesco Real Estate in 2020. Prior to

joining IRE, Justin was a senior vice president on the originations team at Starwood Property

Trust (“STWD”), first based in New York City and later in Los Angeles, where for seven years

he sourced and underwrote prospective commercial lending opportunities, as well as

analyzed acquiring sub-performing and performing commercial real estate loan portfolios and

securities. Prior to STWD, while in graduate school in Washington, D.C., he worked at

Beacon Capital Partners, focusing on asset management. Justin started his career in the real

estate industry working at Anglo Irish Bank in Boston for four years, initially focusing on

analyzing commercial property acquisitions and senior loan originations, and later focusing on

capital stack restructurings and loan workouts.

Justin earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Providence College and a Master of Business

Administration from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Corey Hall (Los Angeles) joined KKR in 2022 and is a member of the Real Estate team. Mr. Hall is responsible for sourcing and executing debt investments across KKR’s real estate credit strategies. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Hall was a senior vice president at Brookfield, where he oversaw originations throughout the western U.S. for the firm's series of real estate credit funds. Prior to that, he was a managing director at Cantor Commercial Real Estate, where he focused on the origination, structuring, and disposition of both fixed and floating rate securitized debt. He began his career at Deloitte within the financial advisory services practice as part of the firm's real estate consulting team. Mr. Hall is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where he received a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Real Estate Development & Finance. He is a member of Urban Land Institute and is an active member of the University of Southern California’s Lusk Center for Real Estate.

Jennifer Halvas oversees firm operations and is responsible for identifying best practices and implementing policies and procedures across all departments. Jennifer also manages the legal aspects of project-related matters, including acquisition, development, management and disposition. She was previously at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where she represented a variety of clients in real estate, project development and finance transactions. Jennifer holds a B.A. with honors from the University of Southern California and a JD from Vanderbilt Law School.

Mr. Grossman is a Senior Managing Director at Meridian Capital Group. He opened the firm’s San Diego office in May 2011 charged with expanding the company’s presence throughout the western and southwestern states. In his 10+ years leading the west coast for Meridian, Mr. Grossman has built a team that has originated and closed more than $12 billion of debt and equity transactions spanning more than 600 loans across primary and esoteric asset types.

Prior to opening Meridian’s San Diego office, Mr. Grossman was a Structured Finance Analyst Fitch Ratings, a Principal at Mission Peak Capital, and worked in Meridian’s New York City office where he closed in excess of $3 billion.

Gabriel Marquez is a partner in CohnReznick’s Real Estate Assurance practice with over 32 years of

professional experience. He has served a variety of public and privately-held real estate and construction

companies, including real estate developers/owners/operators, pension-sponsored and private equity real

estate funds, homebuilders, engineering firms and contractors.

Gabriel has extensive experience in GAAP technical matters, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 controls and SEC

experience with both 1933 and 1934 Act Filings. He has led various client projects ranging from land

development/construction cost and operational audits, contract claims resolution, mergers and acquisitions,

and restructurings/reorganizations. He serves as a firm subject matter expert on contract accounting matters

and has authored several industry-related articles.

He has served as a National and Los Angeles Chapter Director for the Construction Financial Management

Association (CFMA), and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) and California Society of

Before joining Wilson Meany, Will was Vice President of Leasing for Equity One (NYSE: EQY) in San Francisco. While there, he was responsible for the West Coast portfolio valued at nearly $1 billion dollars and consisting of over 2 million square feet of retail shopping centers. Will previously worked on urban infill development with CIM Group and SRM Development throughout the Western United States.

Donna brings more than 25 years of experience in executive leadership, real estate development, property management and asset management of high-profile commercial office, retail and mixed-use projects to Pacific Retail. In her role, she will be guiding the strategic growth of the company, supervising the company’s daily business operations and leading key initiatives. Previously, Donna was the Chief Operating Officer for Continuum Partners based in Denver, CO. There she was involved in overall business operations and strategic oversight of their Block A, 9th & Colorado and Market Station development projects. While in Colorado, she served on the Civic Ventures Board for the Downtown Denver Partnership, as well as the Upper Downtown Task Force, 16th Street Mall, Development Council and the Urban Exploration Steering Committee. Prior to joining Continuum, Donna served as Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management at Pacific Retail and oversaw the KKR-owned portfolio of shopping centers in New York and Illinois. She was responsible for over $100 million of capital improvements and new tenant development initiatives and worked with municipalities to create entitlement opportunities for new dynamic walkable-livable environments. Donna’s previous experience includes development roles for Meadowlands Xanadu, a 2M square foot retail, restaurant and entertainment mixed-use project developed as a Public/Private and for Tishman Speyer Properties, where she oversaw over $100M of public space, retail, common areas and tenant improvements related to the redevelopment of Rockefeller Center. Donna resides in Denver with her husband, Tim. She has two college-aged sons, Andrew and Christian. She enjoys outdoor adventures including hiking, skiing, rafting and biking and loves to explore new cultures, art, dining and music through her travels throughout the United States and internationally.

Kim Brewer is Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s US Senior Vice President of Development. She has been with URW since 1996 serving in senior roles in both management and development. Kim is currently responsible for oversight of the development activities for the company’s West Coast assets, including Westfield UTC, Century City, Topanga, Roseville and Valley Fair. This development pipeline across URW’s premier properties represents significant capital investment focused to reinvigorate the retail shopping experience in reimagined environments that will serve the communities and its shoppers into the future.

Kim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of San Diego. She currently serves as a board member on the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission, the Warner Center Association and San Diego Economic Development Corporation. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). In her free time, Kim enjoys traveling, having visited 46 countries to date, sailing, golfing, cooking and spending time outdoors hiking.

Chris joined Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in April of 2019 to grow theater distribution

through franchising. Before joining Alamo Drafthouse, Chris was the Vice President of

Development at IHG responsible for growing the Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express,

Staybridge Suites, Candlewood Suites and avid hotels brands across the U.S., Canada

and Mexico. He also served as Vice President, Owner & Franchise Services where he

oversaw owner relations, the market feasibility and impact review process and

development marketing. Chris’ career at IHG spanned 14 years. Prior to IHG, Chris

spent eight (8) years with the Walt Disney Company, where his duties included

attractions design, development planning, and labor modeling. He was a member of the

Disney Cruise Line launch team and played a key leadership role in the redesign of the

company’s guest reservations systems and CRM implementation. Chris holds an MBA

from Duke University and an industrial engineering degree from Georgia Tech. Away

from work, he enjoys speaking to children’s ministries at North Point Community Church

and is a dedicated supporter of the nonprofit organization Lighthouse Family Retreat.

Elizabeth J. Wilgenburg is a partner in the Century City office of Allen Matkins. Her expertise primarily includes both lease transactions as well as acquisitions and dispositions. Elizabeth specializes in representing landlords in connection with large lease transactions with technology-oriented tenants. She is sought after by many institutional owners for representation on these matters, such as Kilroy Realty Corporation, Boston Properties, Hines Interests, CIM, Westbrook, LBA Realty, and Equity Office Properties. Elizabeth also represents owners in leasing sophisticated mixed-use retail, office and residential properties, and development, build-to-suit office and industrial projects.

Specifically, Elizabeth has leased over 15 million square feet of space since joining the firm and represented the landlord on two of the largest leases in the history of the City of San Francisco, including the lease with Salesforce at Salesforce Tower, and represented the tenant on the largest lease in the history of the Western Region.

Throughout his career in real estate, David has demonstrated the ability to conceptualize and implement unique solutions for each site he has encountered. No two projects are the same. Each place, whether it be primarily retail, entertainment, office, or multi-family, draws its inspiration from the site’s context and history, and is therefore fully integrated into its surroundings. In 2011, David and Pete Garcia formed I.D.E.A. Partners to lead the development of the I.D.E.A. District (Innovation + Design + Education + Arts) in downtown San Diego. This transformative initiative, located on 35 city blocks in the Upper East Village, aims to create a vibrant, sustainable mixed-use neighborhood that will generate thousands of high-paying design and technology jobs in the next 10 years.

David has also led the development of signature projects including The New Amsterdam Theater, NYC; Disney Ice, Anaheim, CA; Hollywood and Highland, Hollywood, CA; and Paseo Colorado, Pasadena, CA

Mr. Van Tilburg is a founding principal of Van Tilburg, Banvard &

Soderbergh, AIA. Mr. Van Tilburg has led the organization into the

forefront of planning and design since founding his firm in 1971. His

work as an architect is widely recognized throughout the state and

indeed the entire country. In 1992 he was honored by his peers and

elevated to the level of Fellow of the American Institute of Architects.

Mr. Van Tilburg is deeply committed to education in Los Angeles and

since 1990 has been an Adjunct Professor at the USC School of

Public Policy and Planning in the MRED Program (Masters Degree

Real Estate Development). Mr. Van Tilburg also teaches an annual

course at Harvard University Graduate School of Design entitled

“Owning the Future,” Urban Housing and Mixed-Use Development

since 1997.

Mr. Van Tilburg is a member of the Board of Directors for the

Promenade Downtown Santa Monica, appointed to a third 4-year

term by the Santa Monica City Council. He also serves on the Board

of Directors for Move LA.

Mr. Van Tilburg was appointed Honorary Consul of The Netherlands

in Los Angeles in 2010.

Sonnet currently serves as Vice President and General Manager for Project Management Advisors, Inc. (PMA), a national real estate advisory firm specializing in Development Management, Project Management, Investor Representation and Program Management services. She has spent the bulk of her 30-plus year career as an architect, developer, business strategist and planner working for both national and international firms. As general manager, Sonnet oversees projects across multiple sectors, including high-rise and multifamily residential, entertainment, healthcare, educational, and commercial.

Prior to joining PMA, Sonnet was Vice President, Design and Construction at NBC Universal, where she was responsible for developing and leading design, construction and related capital planning services for NBCUniversal and DreamWork’s West Coast Studio Operations. In this role, she managed the planning and execution of construction projects at the iconic 400 + acre Universal Lot in Studio City.

She was honored in 2016 and 2017 by Bisnow as one of “Los Angeles’ Power Women.” In the past year, Sonnet has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as part of their Women’s Leadership Series, the 2020 class of Thriving in Their 40s, and as a Women of Influence in Construction and Design. Sonnet Hui is a Trustee of the Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU).

Simran Bindra provides strategic banking and finance counseling to his clients as well as representing owners and developers of commercial real estate in the acquisition, disposition and financing of assets.

As a member of the Firm's Real Estate practice. Simran has previously served as general counsel for a Los Angeles-based real estate developer with interest in hotel and office assets and prior to that served as external counsel to owners and developers in all aspects of the real estate life cycle, from entity and joint venture formation to acquisition of assets to the financing and disposition of the same, with a particular emphasis on hospitality and office assets.

Konstantine Anthony grew up in the small suburban town of Castro Valley, just outside of Oakland, CA. He spent his middle school years in rural Iowa and studied film at San Francisco State University with a diverse group of students from all over the world. In 2004, he moved to Burbank and became a union actor in film and television.

With 20 years of experience in improv comedy, Konstantine has appeared in numerous television shows and movies. That experience, and a passion for social justice, made running for office in the Media Capital a natural next step. On his second run for Burbank City Council, he won a seat with a record-setting 17,529 votes. In doing so, he also became the first openly autistic elected official west of the Mississippi.

Konstantine has been a SAG-AFTRA member since 2006 and a member of SEIU 2015 since 2019. He has served with the Burbank Advisory Council on Disabilities since 2018, as executive board of Burbank PFLAG since 2019, and with the Burbank Transportation Commission from 2017-2020, resigning from his position as Chair to take his City Council seat. It is through these networks of advocacy that he takes on the issues facing our fair city.

When not deliberating on the dais, you can find Konstantine driving around town in his blue Prius, taking constituents to their destinations through various rideshare apps. He hopes to meet you one day and get you involved in local politics, too.
