Currently, Paul is leading the redevelopment of the LAX Century Boulevard commercial corridor, redeveloping the office building closest to the airport terminals (the former Western Airlines headquarters at 6171 W. Century Boulevard).

In 1999, fresh out of graduate school, Mr. Solomon founded a community-minded, LA-focused real estate company he named Linear City, which developed keystone downtown LA Arts District projects including Toy Factory Lofts and Biscuit Company Lofts. Paul was born in Los Angeles (the first in his family born in the United States), the small business capital of the world, in 1970. Amongst other things he loves his son, his friends, architecture, travel, golf, great food and soulful music.

Marc Gittleman oversees 3rd Party Services throughout Rising's 3+ million sq. ft commercial real estate portfolio, business development of integrated verticals, and Rising's energy, sustainability and technology initiatives. Marc has also participated as a GP investor in over $600M of transactions.

Marc is also CEO & Co-Founder of 5x5 Telecom, a fiber optic ISP and smart-building platform located in Los Angeles.

Prior to becoming a key member of Rising Senior Leadership and culture, Marc spent the past 18 years working with multiple start-ups. He worked closely with Nelson and Christopher Rising over the past decade on real estate projects, including Nelson and Christopher's tenure at Maguire.

A noted expert in real estate innovation, Marc's creative leadership in implementing advanced technologies has garnered national attention and drives value for Rising and many of the nation's largest real estate investors. Marc serves as a Director and the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Directors for BOMA International's Greater Los Angeles Chapter representing 135 million square feet of office and industrial space, the IP Infrastructure Committee of Innovate Pasadena, Chair of NAIOP's Trends in Real Estate Development forum, and an appointee to the Advisory Board of Cross Campus, where former President Obama recently spoke on technology and innovation

Greg Cunningham, AIA, LEED AP, is a Principal and co-founder of Enovity, an engineering firm that operates, maintains, and optimizes facilities to assure higher-performance places. Greg has more than 35 years of experience in the design and construction industry, with the past 15 years focused on commissioning and energy efficiency solutions for high-performance buildings. He has recently spoken at events such as Greenbuild and CoreNet Global on Google’s initiative to develop, implement, and validate indoor environmental quality (IEQ) practices that enhance occupant health and the user experience. A Registered Architect and LEED AP, Greg holds a Bachelor’s in Architecture from UC Berkeley and a Master’s in Environmental Planning from Arizona State University.

Mr. Adler, as President and CEO of Adler Realty Investments, Inc., is actively involved in a broad spectrum of real estate investment and development projects. His market insight, analysis and leadership skills enable the firm to consistently exceed market returns on its investments.

While serving as President of Adler, Mr. Adler has acted as general partner, manager and investor in over 50 real estate projects worth over $750 million. Many of these projects consisted of “value added opportunities” whereby the property was purchased having a high level of vacancy and neglect. Mr. Adler and his team instituted the renovation, redevelopment and management expertise required to reposition the properties to a stabilized and profitable condition. Additional projects include the entitlement and development of land for residential, industrial and commercial use, and institutional grade stabilized properties where the management team maximizes cash flow and investor return.

Mr. Adler is a graduate from the University of Denver with a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Real Estate and Finance. He obtained a MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, and a CPM designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management. Mr. Adler is a member of the Urban Land Institute and International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Micheal S. Geller is a founding principal and co-owner of First Property Realty Corporation. During Mr. Geller’s twenty-five years of commercial real estate experience he has distinguished himself as one of the top leasing and sales brokers in Los Angeles. Mr. Geller’s clients consistently acknowledge and rely upon his intimate understanding of office buildings, including market knowledge, financial analysis, lease negotiations, space planning, tenant improvement construction and building operations. Landlord clients include GE Capital Corporation, Tishman Speyer Properties, Arden Realty, Inc. and the JH Snyder Co. Tenant clients include Daily Variety, Walt Disney Studios, Bergman & Wedner, and California National Bank. Prior to forming First Property Realty Corporation, Mr. Geller was Senior Vice President and Co-Branch Manager of Julien J. Studley, Inc.'s West Los Angeles office.

James has experience advising occupier clients on their real estate portfolios, primarily on space acquisitions (lease and purchase) and dispositions as well as developing portfolio management strategies that achieve cost savings, identify growth opportunities and support overall company objectives. While at JLL, he transacted over 3.5 million sf of leases and advised clients on numerous building and land acquisitions all over Southern California. Prior to joining JLL, James worked with Catellus Development Corporation and was responsible for the marketing and leasing of mixed-use projects in Los Angeles, CA and at Mission Bay in San Francisco, CA after working as an attorney with Haight, Brown & Bonesteel, LLP in Los Angeles, CA, where he practiced commercial litigation.

John Zanetos is a Executive Vice President in the Los Angeles office of CBRE. The world’s largest real estate services firm. John’s track record with tenants and landlords has enabled him to complete a multitude of complex transactions across the United States. Major transactions have included lease acquisitions and space dispositions for Fortune 500 Companies, multi-market relocations, strategic development, advance lease renewals and occupancy cost reduction strategies.

John’s primary focus is representing firms with operations in Southern California, devising creative real estate solutions and providing advice during transaction negotiations. John has received numerous CBRE recognition awards. In 2016, John successfully completed the two largest lease transactions in Greater Los Angeles including a 250,000 RSF lease with Warner Music Group and a 240,000 RSF lease with City National Bank.

In addition to representing clients within the acquisition and disposition of their lease space, John advises some of the largest institutional investors of real estate on the marketing and leasing of their assets.

Archway through its affiliated and predecessor entities has been acquiring commercial real estate mainly in California, Arizona, and Texas since 1974. Archway has earned a reputation for repositioning well located assets into iconic architectural statements and providing refined amenities which in turn enable workspace productivity. This has resulted in multiple award winning projects and relationships with some of the most well regarded institutional tenants in the market.

Mark Motonaga joined RIOS in 2009, and has played a significant leadership role in the firm’s ongoing evolution. Mark’s extensive experience in the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban design enable him to manage not only complex projects, but also the daily operations of our staff. It’s fitting that Mark goes by the nickname “Moto;” he is the engine that keeps things humming around the office.

Mark has served as project manager and designer on projects ranging from highly detailed residential properties to large-scale urban developments. His interest is in understanding the underlying cultural currents of a site, to create bold, distinct designs that reveal the story that defines a place.

Mark received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California. He earned his Master of Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, where he focused on ecological planning and its relationship to culture.

Select projects Mark has worked on include NBC Universal Evolution Plan, Universal Cineplex Plaza, Wilshire Grand, Act 4 Entertainment, Telephone Building, Pop Zoo, and Bergamot Station Arts Center.

Kay Sargent joined Lend Lease in May of 2014 bringing over 30 years of experience in the interiors industry. Prior to joining Lend Lease Kay served as Vice President of Architecture, Design and Workplace Strategies for Teknion, a major furniture manufacturer. In that role Kay lead the effort on research related to workplace, well-being, change management and worked with the team to assist the A+D community and clients with creating the right workplace solutions to meet their business needs. Prior to serving as an Executive at Teknion, Kay was a Principal for Interior Architects of Washington, D.C., where she spearheaded the office’s business operations, workplace strategies and the management of key clients, both corporate and government.

Summary

The office environment has changed to meet societal change and continues to be modified due to technology, demographics, new building materials, the importance of wellness, the integration of hospitality components, the “experience economy” and the elimination of “work and life balance”. All these factors have created the office environment we’re now experiencing, but what are the next influencers that will affect change?
