Mitch Lund joined Fulcrum with a decade of experience in the commercial modular building industry where he was actively involved in leading teams through the entire lifecycle of custom modular construction projects across the US, including design/engineering, estimating, procurement, project management, manufacturing, and site supervision. With modular and offsite construction riding a tidal wave of success and media attention, involvement in $1B of modular projects, a nation-wide team of construction professionals from across all segments of the construction industry, and a decades-long track record of success managing construction risk on behalf of lenders, investors, and developers, Fulcrum is perfectly and powerfully positioned to help the real estate industry make informed decisions with its full range of Modular Risk Management services.

Larry Dalton is senior vice president, leading construction lending for

Western Alliance Hotel Franchise Finance. His team serves owners and

operators of franchised hotels across the United States with

underwriting and management of financing for new ground-up

construction.

Mr. Dalton brings clients more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate finance and

development, including 25 years in lending and development for the franchise hotel sector with a recent

focus on modular hotel construction lending. Prior to becoming part of Western Alliance, Mr. Dalton had

a senior position with GE Capital, and previous roles with banks including Wells Fargo.

Mr. Dalton graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a bachelor’s degree in Business

Administration.

Curtis is a product design and development specialist with over 35 years of experience designing pre-manufactured modular housing products. Roughly half of those years have been dedicated to designing mid to large-scale modular multifamily and hospitality projects.

He has been an architectural consultant for thousands of units in modular multifamily construction and is Prefab Logic’s resident expert in process optimization, logistics and site integration.

Curtis co-founded Prefab Logic as part of his mission to establish a non-proprietary manufacturing support platform, providing modular best practices and critical services as the construction industry increasingly industrializes to meet demand.

Darren is a Director at Fulcrum, a leading Construction Risk Management firm that provides a wide range of professional services on all project types for clients nationwide. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from DeMontfort University in the UK and is a Fellow of the RICS, the largest international real estate professional body in the world dating back 150 years. Darren started his career 22 years ago in London and has since spent 18 years in Phoenix, Arizona and Southern California, where he moved in 2011 to assist in the growth of Fulcrum’s West Coast Region. Several years ago, Darren foresaw the current challenges the construction industry is experiencing relating to labor shortages and associated cost increases and drew upon his international experience to identify Modular Construction as a potential solution. He has since led a team of professionals at Fulcrum to complete extensive research, develop a vast network and provide Construction Risk Management services on numerous projects relating to Modular Construction.

Brad Wagstaff, with 20 years’ experience in real estate development, finance, investment, and acquisition, is the managing partner and owner of the hospitality-focused real estate development company, Mogul Capital. Prior to forming Mogul Capital, Mr. Wagstaff worked for seven years as Investment Analyst and Manager for Intel Capital, Intel Corporation’s venture capital investment fund. Mr. Wagstaff holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Brigham Young University and a Master’s of Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

In 2005, Mr. Wagstaff formed Mogul Capital, a specialty real estate development company focused on opportunistic development and investment transactions. Since 2005, Mogul Capital has acquired, developed, and invested in over $325 million of real estate projects, including a $200M hotel development portfolio across five Marriott and Hilton brands, $60M of single tenant retail developments, $40M of multi-family apartment complexes, and a $20M car wash portfolio. In 2018, Mogul Capital opened a 354-key dual-branded Courtyard and TownePlace Suites in Hawthorne, CA. This project was Marriott’s first dual-branded modular project and Marriott’s largest modular project to date. Mogul Capital has over $350 million in assets under management and has over $300 million in modular hospitality and condo projects at various stages of development and construction in the Western US.

Sanat Patel has been in the commercial banking industry for over twenty-five years. Currently, Sanat is the Chief Sales Officer at AVANA Capital heading up Business Development and is a member of the Credit & Risk Administration Team at AVANA Capital. Sanat excels at creating dynamic financing solutions to allow entrepreneurs to realize their dreams of creating wealth for themselves, and their families. His passion and drive are key to closing over $1 billion in loans as of 2017 YTD.

Sanat has served in various functions of commercial banking – serving clients in small business, middle market, and large corporate banking within Wells Fargo Bank, Citibank and JP Morgan. His competitive drive resulted in him being ranked in the top 10% of the nation as a Banker at the institution’s throughout his career.

Sanat’s career in the Financial Industry began in 1989 after graduating from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelors degree with a dual major in Finance and Management Science and a minor in Economics. In 2008, Sanat graduated and completed the Banking Degree offered by Pacific Coast Banking School, held at University of Washington.

Adrienne has an extensive background in hospitality real estate and a strong analytical thought process focused on strategic partnerships and growth. With a combined 10 years of success including as VP, Lodging Development with Marriott International and West Coast Managed Development at Starwood Hotels and Resorts, she excels at structuring complex transactions and using her vast network of industry connections to support hotel owners and prospective owners. Adrienne also has owner/operator, acquisitions, and operations experience and aligns with the Aimbridge value to “Think Like A Guest, Act Like an Owner” and welcomes the opportunity to review potential hotel opportunities utilizing her deep knowledge of the potential impact, brand growth, and investment opportunity.

Adrienne enjoys serving the industry through her work on various industry panels, She Has a Deal (SHaD), the Women’s Hotel Investment Network (WHIN) and the Aloft Franchise Council. She received a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration focused on Hotel Real Estate Finance, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with Honors degree in Sociology and German from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Ray Boff and prefabrication go hand-in-hand. Since graduating from Cal Poly some 15 years ago, he has assembled a unique set of skills and experiences that has led him to co-leading DPR’s national prefabrication team. With experience in project management, product modeling, production labor, production engineering, modular manufacturing, supply chain and logistics, Ray is a trusted advisor for all things prefabrication—from product identification to installation and optimized use.

For Ray, prefabrication is common sense. He's experienced the many benefits of prefabrication firsthand and is excited to help take DPR's prefabrication and digital fabrication capabilities to the next level—moving from field construction to field assembly.

Matthew has over 20-years’ experience working within the Higher Education and Science and Technology sectors for both public institutions and private industry. Having spent the last 7 years establishing Hawkins\Brown’s first US studio, Matthew has a unique global perspective on academic and research trends through his work for leading academic institutions such as the University of Oxford, Northwestern University in Chicago and UC San Diego. Matthew is a keen advocate for innovation, championing social and environmentally sustainable design alongside research-driven solutions and modern methods of construction.

Amanda has worked in the development and construction of primarily affordable housing for

more than 15 years. She has overseen the new construction and rehabilitation of more than

1,200 multifamily units and more than 100,000 square feet of commercial space in California

and Arizona. Amanda has led business development for modular project management and

general contractors, and owners’ representation and construction management for affordable

housing development. She specializes in groundbreaking, sustainable projects that have a

compassionate component.

At CRATE, Amanda’s industry knowledge and ability to attract and manage deal flow are

optimized. In her current role, she focuses on client development, pipeline management, and

the orchestration of complex construction needs and demands.

Grant King has over 20 years of international real estate finance, development and investment experience. As a managing partner of Relevant Group, he leads strategy, development and financing of each project. In 2012, King moved to China to establish the company’s first overseas office and now leads fundraising efforts for Relevant Group in both U.S. and China.

As a managing partner of Relevant Group, Richard Heyman leads development and construction with over 30 years of experience building high end, high-concept hospitality projects including restaurants, nightclubs and entertainment venues. Having started his career as a hospitality developer and general contractor, he understands the formula of a successful project.

Danette Lucas EIT | CSI | LEED Green Associate, is a Prefabricated Building Consultant for Clark Pacific. Danette blends her Civil Engineering and Architectural background to help bring prefabricated solutions to owners and developers for better project outcomes. She has extensive architectural façade experience and works closely with the product and project teams to continue to develop better and more efficient products. Danette has a BSE in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University.

Vaughan Buckley is a modular building and logistics expert with an MBA in international business and a law degree. His strategic plan has led him to grow several multi-million dollar companies focused on modular construction in a mission to further vertically integrate the industry. Vaughan was honored as one of Professional Builder’s 40 Under 40 in 2017, Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 in 2019 and continues to lead the next generation of modular professionals. The ICC recently announced Vaughan as a committee member on their new modular code council for both off-site construction standards and off-site construction inspections and regulation. His companies have appeared on the Inc. 5000 list for the fastest growing companies in the U.S. for the last several years, as well as being in the top 5 for the Philadelphia Business Journal’s fastest growing private companies in the region. There are few business owners on the east coast with more multi-family modular construction experience than Vaughan. Through his continued dedication to supporting the region with superior building solutions, Vaughan Buckley joins the modular revolution in the United States with an adventurous, entrepreneurial spirit focused on innovation, growth and collaboration.

Rich Rozycki is Senior Vice President of Z Modular, a steel modular construction

company. In that role, he is responsible for the company’s strategic growth and business

development. Rich has 15 years of diversified construction experience and has played a key role

in developing over $350 million of innovative modular construction projects primarily in the

hospitality, student housing, and multi-family residential sectors.

Prior to joining Z Modular, Rich managed the commercial division of Champion Home

Builders, Inc., one of North America’s largest modular construction providers. He was

instrumental in leading Champion through Marriott’s rigorous selection process to become a

charter member of Marriott’s industry-leading modular program launched in 2015.

Before entering the modular construction industry, Rich specialized in construction law

where his practice focused on representing owners, contractors, design professionals, and

governmental entities. He received his J.D. from the University of Detroit and B.A. in Business

Administration from Michigan State University.

Bruce Greenfield is a veteran architect and Principal at AO with more than three decades of industry experience. He has been working with modular and prefabricated construction systems since the 1990’s, including retail, resort, and hotel projects. His recent experience with the Marriott Dual Brand Courtyard and Townplace Suites was Marriott’s first modular project in the LA area, and Marriott’s largest modular project under construction at that time, comprising 354 guest rooms, two lobbies, and a third party restaurant.

Bruce and his team worked closely with the Modular factory to develop the details for fire ratings, utilities, acoustics, vertical transportation, and to coordinate closely between site work and factory work. This experience was invaluable in understanding the nuances and risks associated with modular construction and was put to good use on subsequent modular projects including hotels in Monterey, San Jose, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, and Avon, Colorado. Architects Orange has a robust understanding of modular projects and shares expertise among our various studios using the modular approach for mixed use, high-rise, senior housing, affordable housing, resort and hotel projects.

As a Principal at KTGY, Keith Labus has led the design and planning of award-winning urban infill and mixed-use communities throughout California. Over his 20-year career Keith has established himself as an architect that creates value for even the most challenging projects.

Over the last several years he has led KTGY’s Construction Innovation Committee, a dedicated team of architects, designers and interdisciplinary professionals who come together to assess and develop opinions about technical advances in construction. This leadership has propelled KTGY as one of the most sought-after designers for modular and prefab communities. KTGY has designed over 1,300 units for residential and hospitality developments.

A notable project is Hope On Alvarado, which is the first in a series of Los Angeles-area developments using modular construction to provide supportive transitional housing for the formerly homeless and is currently under construction.

Raymond I. Harrower, CPC holds over 17 years of experience in the real estate and

construction industry, a BA degree in Real Estate Management and Construction Management

from the University of Denver, is a Certified Professional Constructor, and is a member of the

Sigma Lamda Chi International Honor Society.

Ray’s primary responsibilities are to lead Fulcrum’s business development efforts nationwide.

However, Ray continues to assist Clients in all aspects of construction consulting services

including the method of modular construction.
