Robert Olson is the founder of R.D. Olson Development, an Irvine, California-based firm engaged in the development and repositioning of commercial properties nationwide. He established the company in 1997 following nearly 20 years as founder and CEO of R.D. Olson Construction.

Mr. Olson guides the strategic vision for R.D. Olson Development with an active, hands-on approach toward every facet of construction and development. He works closely with design and development teams in some of the company’s most prestigious projects, providing valuable input for marketing, investment analysis, debt and equity structures, planning and entitlements, budgeting, constructability and end-user requirements. R.D. Olson Development is recognized for its ability to identify and act on opportunities, delivering solid execution through all phases of design and development while maintaining focus on the business strategy and the bottom line.

The majority of the firm’s developments have occurred in the Western U.S. and Hawaii, though Mr. Olson has built projects on a nationwide basis. A specialist in developing hospitality properties, the firm is also experienced in the development of office, retail, multifamily and recreational projects. Mr. Olson’s longstanding experience as a builder has proven to be highly beneficial for development projects.

Robert Olson has been recognized as a business leader and entrepreneur on numerous occasions. He is the recipient of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, Construction Financial Management Association’s Construction Executive of the Year and the Orange County Business Journal’s Excellence in Entrepreneurship award. He was recently recognized as a 2012 Hotel Icon by Real Estate FORUM magazine, and is a frequent speaker at leading industry events.

Mr. Olson is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), including having served as Chairman of the California Coast Chapter. His philanthropic activity includes serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Mr. Olson is an MBA graduate of the University of Southern California.

Joe Gambill is a Development Associate with responsibility for Wood Partners’ assets in the greater

Los Angeles area and the Inland Empire. His responsibilities include the acquisition, development,

construction oversight, financing and asset management for all Wood Partners’ activities within

these territories.

Gambill earned a Masters in Real Estate Development from University of Southern California, and

his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University.

Charles Tourtellotte is the President and Chief Executive Officer of LaTerra. Mr. Tourtellotte’s real estate investment management experience includes more than 30 years of successful senior management positions with institutions and public companies, as well as, entrepreneurial ventures, including all aspects of capital formation, property acquisitions, asset management and dispositions. At the entrepreneurial level, Mr. Tourtellotte founded three companies, one of which became a publicly traded company. Mr. Tourtellotte served as CEO for each of these companies.

Prior to LaTerra, Mr. Tourtellotte founded Shoreline Communities, a real estate development company specializing in both single and multifamily projects primarily in San Diego County, California. Shoreline and its management team completed development of more than 1,000 multifamily units and 2,000 single family homes.

In 1992, Mr. Tourtellotte founded MetroGolf, Inc., a NASDAQ traded company, which owned, acquired, developed, and managed golf courses and driving ranges across the United States. As President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board, Mr. Tourtellotte took MetroGolf, Inc. public in 1996 with an IPO, and later led MetroGolf through a merger and acquisition transaction with another NASDAQ listed company.

Mr. Tourtellotte served as a Senior Acquisitions Officer at two national real estate investment companies, Consolidated Capital and Robert A. McNeil Corporation, where he acquired more than 12,000 multifamily units and 10,000,000 square feet of commercial office and retail properties in major markets throughout the United States.

A graduate of the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, Mr. Tourtellotte has taught real estate and finance courses at the University of Denver and the University of Colorado. He has been featured on the Today Show, CNN and CNN/FN.

As President and CEO of Related California, Mr. Canori leads Related California's market rate, luxury and mixed-income residential development and strategy throughout California. He is currently overseeing a $6 billion pipeline of 7,000 multifamily and senior units, and over 1 million square feet of commercial space located in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles and Orange County. He oversees an integrated development team that encompasses all aspects of development, including financial analysis, acquisition, planning and design, deal structuring, entitlements, public and private financing, construction, marketing and asset management.

For the past 21 years, Mr. Canori has played a lead role in building the company's substantial portfolio of mixed-use and mixed-income developments. He is responsible for the growth of the Related California pipeline, including the development of 4,000 multifamily units with development costs in excess of $3 billion.

Mr. Canori is a graduate of the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. He serves on the Executive Committee for the Lusk Center for Real Estate at the University of Southern California and the Policy Advisory Board for the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics at the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute.

David Simon was appointed Executive Vice President, Southern California, in September 2014 after serving as Executive Vice President since March 2012 and is responsible for executing the development and repositioning of office and mixed-use projects, as well as identifying and acquiring value-add opportunities throughout Southern California. Mr. Simon was formerly a Managing Director at BRCP. Prior to joining BRCP in 2004, Mr. Simon was a Partner with Kearny Real Estate Company, a partnership originally established as a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds. Previously, Mr. Simon was with the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds in Southern California, where he focused on acquisitions, asset management and dispositions of real estate across all asset types. Mr. Simon received a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Florida. He is a licensed California Real Estate Broker and a full member of the Urban Land Institute. He is a board member of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and a board member and trustee of the Oakwood School in North Hollywood. He previously served as a member of the board of directors and a trustee for the nonprofit Affordable Living for the Aging based in Southern California. In 2011, he established the Simon Family Drug Research Fund at the University of Alabama to promote drug research for neurofibromatosis.

Brian Folb & the Folb Family have been involved in the development and management of commercial office buildings, single/ multi-family housing and retail centers in the City of Los Angeles and particularly Hollywood for the past 50 years. Prior her career in development, Ms. Hsu served as a senior advisor to LA City Councilmember

(now Mayor) Eric Garcetti. In that position she served as staff chair for the City Council’s

Housing, Community and Economic Development Committee and staff to the City Council’s

Budget & Finance Committee.

Ms. Hsu is a member of the Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners, a past member of the

Board of Directors for Larchmont Charter Schools, the Planning Program Advisory Board of the

She has been twice recognized by Bisnow as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in LA

As Senior Vice President of Development, Mark Janda is responsible for new development activity in the Southern California region. He joined the company in July of 2012. Mr. Janda has more than two decades of experience in the multifamily and mixed-use development business. Prior to joining AvalonBay, he spent 12 years at The Irvine Company, where he managed the development of over 13,000 multifamily units, including some of the largest and most capital-intensive projects ever undertaken by the company.

Prior to The Irvine Company, Mr. Janda spent three years with The Macklowe Organization in New York, where his responsibilities included acquisition, finance, and development of the company’s multifamily, office and retail investments in Manhattan. He held an earlier position with Landauer Associates in New York, where his assignments included economic modeling, portfolio valuation projects and the underwriting of several REIT IPO’s. Mr. Janda started his career as a structural engineer, designing structural systems for large-scale projects, including Denver International Airport.
