Clark brings more than two decades of healthcare project experience to our San Diego

studio. With a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes and enhancing

healthcare environments, Clark has established himself as a leader in the field, known

for his strategic vision and collaborative approach.

Clark enjoys collaborating with clients, stakeholders, design teams, regulatory bodies

and construction teams. From the conceptual design phase to walking through

completed buildings, he is passionate about every step of the process. His extensive

experience ranges from facility maintenance and equipment upgrades to medical office

developments, tenant improvements and hospital additions, giving him a deep

understanding of the client perspective. Clark excels at communicating the client’s

objectives and requirements to the wider team.

During his time at HDR, Clark has built an impressive portfolio, including the Cleveland

Clinic Abu Dhabi Hospital. This project was a collaboration between multiple HDR

offices and consultants, working together to design a hospital on a human-made island.

This experience highlights his ability to manage complex, large-scale projects and

deliver exceptional results. His role often involves working directly with hospital

representatives as a “client advisor” to evaluate, select and apply architectural

techniques, procedures and modifications.

Edwin is a senior principal and Client Executive of IMEG’s California structural teams in the Pasadena, San Diego, and Anaheim areas.

Edwin has been practicing structural engineering for more than 20 years. He has led the design and analysis of several billion dollars in new building construction as well as seismic retrofit of existing buildings. He also has extensive experience in alternate project delivery approaches such as design-build, integrated project delivery (IPD), public private partnership (P3), design assist, and lean delivery approach. His leadership role allows him to actively participate in all stages of projects from project negotiation until the end of construction.

Edwin is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of Structural Engineers Association of Southern California. He has presented and authored several structural engineering articles in various engineering magazines.

Megan Dietz brings 18 years of AEC industry experience to her role as Director of Preconstruction at Clark Construction. As a licensed architect, she offers a rare perspective that streamlines design management, agency and stakeholder approvals, and target budget alignment across complex projects and delivery models.

Megan specializes in driving seamless collaboration between design teams, trade partners, and stakeholders. Her healthcare portfolio includes major outpatient expansions, specialized surgical facilities, and state-of-the-art clinical environments. Notable projects include; UCSF Bayfront Medical Building in San Francisco - a multi-specialty clinical facility and ambulatory surgery center, Stanford Hacienda Lakes Ambulatory Surgery Center, UCLA Sports Medicine, and most currently overseeing preconstruction for the critical seismic upgrades across multiple USC Keck campuses. Megan holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Southern California and is DBIA Certified and LEED AP BD+C Accredited.

Sean is an MEP engineer with over 20 years of experience in healthcare design and construction.  Sean has been a key team member on a variety of healthcare construction and strategic planning projects including the opening of five new greenfield hospitals, multiple renovations, expansions, and master planning of medical centers.  His passion lies in helping healthcare providers develop engineering solutions that ultimately lead to better patient care outcomes.

During college, David initially pursued a career in life insurance and sales, gaining valuable experience in communication, client service, and business development. However, after joining his family’s construction business to help with day-to-day operations, he quickly realized that construction was where he truly belonged. This experience prompted him to pivot his academic and professional focus toward construction management. He assumed wide-ranging responsibilities within the family company—from payroll and estimating to field supervision and operations—developing a holistic understanding of how projects are built and businesses are run. He also competed in a national student construction competition, where his team earned first place.

That performance helped launch his professional construction career. He soon accepted an internship with a major contractor in Southern California, leaving his home in Utah behind. What began as an internship quickly transitioned into a full-time position. Over the next four years, he progressed from junior estimator to estimator, and then into a senior estimator role with another firm.

In 2015, David joined PNG Builders as Chief Estimator. In addition to leading the company’s estimating department, he plays a central role in business development, actively building and maintaining long- term client relationships. He works closely with owners, architects, and consultants to ensure early alignment, budget clarity, and project feasibility. David brings a partnership-based mindset to every pursuit, often serving as a strategic lead in interviews, RFP responses, and preconstruction efforts. His ability to translate complex project demands into clear, actionable proposals has helped position PNG Builders as a trusted partner across diverse markets.

David is an award-winning Chief General Construction Estimator with deep expertise in bidding, estimating, and budgeting across virtually every sector of commercial construction. His portfolio spans higher education, DSA, entertainment, theme parks, studio work, healthcare, OSHPD, medical office buildings, pharmaceutical, concrete tilt-up, large-scale warehouse (up to 1,133,000 SF), retail, high-end retail, financial, grocery, automotive, hospitality, light industrial, tenant improvement, senior living, restaurants, public works, energy, museums, infrastructure, and residential projects. He has delivered successful outcomes for a broad range of government and private-sector clients. If you can dream it, David can figure out how to build it.

His expertise includes conceptual budgeting, pre-construction planning, design-build delivery, quantitative take-offs, negotiated and hard bid proposals, RFP responses, value engineering, contract writing, and negotiation. David is widely recognized for his leadership in aligning estimating with front- end strategy to improve win rates, unify teams, and foster lasting partnerships.

Outside of work, David resides in Santa Fe Springs with his son and their dog. He enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, whom he met on a yoga retreat in Bali, and he proudly welcomed his first grandson in 2024. He is especially passionate about championing his son’s journey to travel and volunteer across the globe. His son’s adventures have already spanned more than 30 countries and six continents. Kevin Wong is BKF Engineers’ Regional Lead for Land Development, with extensive experience supporting healthcare and institutional projects throughout California. His work spans hospital replacement and expansion, medical office development, specialty care facilities, seismic compliance, utility infrastructure planning, campus master planning, due diligence, and site feasibility. Kevin has served in principal and project management roles for projects involving Stanford Health Care, Kaiser Permanente, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Salinas Valley Health, Sutter Health, and other healthcare providers. He works closely with owners, architects, contractors, and public agencies to address complex site development, infrastructure, entitlement, and coordination needs. Through a practical, collaborative approach, Kevin helps healthcare organizations plan for evolving facility requirements, resilient infrastructure, efficient operations, and long-term campus growth.

As a Principal at Lionakis, Ben Wilkerson has spent more than 19 years working on a variety of healthcare projects across Southern California for clients including Kaiser Permanente, Providence, and UC Irvine Health, among others. Ben’s unwavering commitment to quality and integrity has cultivated strong relationships and trust with peers, clients, agencies, and contractors alike. Ben is a licensed architect and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Association for Medical Facility Planners.

Mr. Saba is responsible for asset management with a focus on healthcare real estate at Stockdale. Previously, he worked

with Meridian, a Marcus and Millichap subsidiary, as an acquisition manager in Southern California from 2015 to 2016.

Prior to Meridian, Mr. Saba was the Director of Leasing and Marketing for Pacific Medical Buildings’ Real Estate

Services team, responsible for building and managing the leasing platform for a medical office portfolio in excess of 3

million square feet across the western US. Before Pacific Medical Buildings, Andrew worked with Healthcare REIT, now

Welltower, in the Management Services Group division as a property manager, beginning in South Florida and relocating

to Southern California in 2007. Mr. Saba holds a California RE salesperson license as well as the RPA designation

through BOMI. Mr. Saba holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a

Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Communication from Florida State University.

Emma Kelley is a Senior Associate on Nuveen Real Estate’s healthcare team in New York, where she focuses on ground-up development of medical outpatient facilities and senior housing communities. Before specializing in healthcare, Emma built a broad foundation in commercial real estate, working across acquisitions and asset management in sectors such as office, retail, and affordable housing. She holds a Master's in Real Estate from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's in Finance from Juniata College.

Dave Ericksen has spent the past 30+ years in banking with the past 15+ years

dedicated specifically to the healthcare industry. Currently Senior Vice President

and Managing Director of Umpqua Bank Healthcare Banking’s Commercial

Healthcare Team, which specializes in helping hospitals and independent physician

groups grow, find revenue cycle efficiency, and advises on strategic objectives.

Fernando Villa has significant land use, regulatory, real estate and litigation experience helping clients secure entitlements while mitigating development risk. He advises clients on entitlements and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review for complex development projects and on reducing exposure to environmental liabilities.

Fernando’s entitlement work spans industrial, mixed-use, residential, commercial and retail developments. He is particularly experienced with Brownfield redevelopment, merging his knowledge of real estate development with a deep understanding of environmental regulation to help clients complete projects while mitigating environmental risks.

Clients have found that Jake brings an ability to merge every development skill including document negotiations, land entitlement, overall project management, strategy, marketing, acquisitions, and leasing. His unbroken record of client satisfaction is a testimonial to his success.

His 17-year career has been focused solely on medical real estate development where Jake has been responsible for the development, leasing, project management, and acquisition of more than 3.5 million square feet of medical office properties in over 15 states. PMB was so impressed with Jake’s work with a competitor, that we hired him in 2018.

Jake received his Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of Wisconsin Platteville. Sing Sing Lee is an architect with Cedars Sinai, her previous portfolio consists of various markets from Healthcare, Higher Education, Corporate commercial, and Entertainment. Some of her signature projects include Johns Hopkin Children’s hospital, LACCD DB Projects, various project with Kaiser, and a development of 300 acre medical city in China. Within these projects she has held roles ranging from Project Designer, Medical Planner, and or Project Manager. This is her 5th Year working at Cedars-Sinai and she received her Bachelor degree for Architecture from SCI-ARC in 2000

Dhiraj “DJ” Swami is a California-licensed structural engineer and Associate Principal at Melqart Structural Engineering, with approximately 10 years of experience delivering structural engineering solutions for healthcare, commercial, institutional, and complex renovation projects. His work includes seismic evaluation and retrofit, structural upgrades, adaptive reuse, equipment support, and coordination with architects, contractors, owners, and other consultants to improve constructability, schedule, and project delivery. DJ brings a practical, multidisciplinary perspective to design and construction, with a strong focus on collaboration, value engineering, and helping project teams move efficiently from concept through construction.

A strategic and results-driven healthcare real estate executive with more than 15 years of experience across acquisitions, development, capital markets, and institutional real estate. As Head of Real Estate at Inneo, Ryan leads the organization’s national investment and development strategy, with a focus on medical office, post-acute, and life science assets. He oversees joint venture structuring, capital formation, portfolio growth, and the execution of Inneo’s mission-driven healthcare real estate platform. Previously, Ryan served as Vice President at Meridian, where he led healthcare real estate acquisitions and redevelopment initiatives across the West Coast. At Sila Realty Trust, he sourced and underwrote more than $600 million of medical outpatient and post-acute investments, supporting the growth of the REIT’s $2.5 billion healthcare portfolio. Earlier in his career, at Cypress West Partners, he executed $275 million of closed transactions from a pipeline exceeding $1 billion, following roles at Bank of America and BlackRock focused on corporate real estate strategy and institutional asset management. Ryan holds an MBA in Real Estate Finance from the USC Marshall School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of California, San Diego. He is also a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

Janet Pangman, AIA NCARB is a Principal at ZGF Architects with over 30 years of experience in the programming, planning, design, and delivery of complex healthcare projects. With communication and care at the core of her leadership style, Janet is a healthcare architect and medical planner who designs healthcare facilities with heart. Inspired by creating comfortable, welcoming environments that ease the hardship of illness, Janet takes pleasure in creating a dialogue between clients and users to understand how they work and translating that into spaces that support their goals and workflows. Ileana Holguin is the Executive Director of Operations for The PENTA Building Group, where she leads complex construction projects throughout Southern California across the higher education, healthcare, civic, and public works sectors. With more than 27 years of industry experience, she is recognized for delivering successful projects while building strong partnerships with clients, design teams, trade partners, and project staff.

Ileana provides executive oversight from preconstruction through completion, leading teams through collaborative delivery methods including Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), Design-Build, and Progressive Design-Build. She is known for aligning project goals, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder expectations to drive successful outcomes.

In addition to project leadership, Ileana plays an active role in business development, strategic planning, and client engagement. She works closely with public agencies, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and community stakeholders to develop solutions that create lasting value for the communities they serve.

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Ileana has dedicated her career to mentoring emerging professionals and creating opportunities for women and minorities in construction. Kyle Koivuniemi is a healthcare development leader at Kimley-Horn who helps clients navigate complex projects throughout California, from initial planning and entitlements to design and implementation. With a thorough understanding of HCAI procedures and three decades of experience, including over 70 OSHPD/HCAI projects, he excels in building strong collaborative teams that deliver successful outcomes in this specialized market sector.

Originally from Santa Ynez, California, Jason holds a BS degree in Biochemistry from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and is a certified OSHPD Class A Hospital Inspector. He is also a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers.

Mila is an Associate Principal with Boulder Associates and helps to lead the firm’s Irvine office. She is highly client-focused, with strong conceptual and technical skills and a record of success in exceptional client management and project execution. Her expertise in healthcare design spans the full spectrum of healthcare services. From ground up medical campuses, outpatient and inpatient clinics, medical property retrofits, and behavioral health projects to senior care and skilled nursing facilities, Mila has dedicated her career to help her clients deliver holistic healthcare environments.

Kevin Cheng is Director of Construction at the City of Hope National Medical Center in Duarte, CA. He currently manages a capital construction portfolio in excess of $700M. Kevin oversees all construction activities for facilities within the City of Hope enterprise including Duarte Campus National Medical Center and Medical Foundation (30+ sites). Cheng’s past experience includes having worked for General Contractors, as well as owner’s rep in Real Estate Development. He holds a J.D. from University of the Pacific– McGeorge School of Law and a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Riverside. He is also a licensed California real estate broker. Joey Kragelund brings more than 35 years of architectural and project management experience in California to his role leading Corgan’s Los Angeles Health studio. With a deep understanding of the evolving healthcare landscape, he is passionate about introducing forward-thinking solutions that advance outcomes, elevate the human experience, and integrate thoughtful design principles.

Throughout his career, Joey has guided the planning and design of complex healthcare and government projects, balancing the goals of his teams, clients, and contractors to deliver thoughtful, high-performing spaces. He approaches each project with a commitment to collaboration, inclusivity, and accountability. Joey strives to serve as a decisive and trusted advisor who advances safety, quality and outcomes while inspiring confidence and accountability in his teams.

Joey studied Architectural Technologies at the Phoenix Institute of Technology in Arizona. He serves as Board Chair for Valley Community Healthcare and is a member of the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) National and Los Angeles chapters.

Earlier in his career, Chris was Director of Business Development at Boingo Wireless, a leading provider of 5G and wireless infrastructure solutions. He has also held leadership roles at Verizon Enhanced Communities, Hughes Communications, rent.com, Global Enterprise Resource Group, and CU Solutions Group. Chris began his career as one of the first five employees at DirecTV.
