Adrienne Haynes is a licensed architect and has been a Project Planner and Manager of Planning,

Design& Construction at Cedars Sinai Medical Center’s Facilities Planning, Design & Construction

(FPDC) for the last 19 years. She has completed more than $200,000,000.00 of capital projects under

the jurisdiction of OSHPD, LADBS and CDPH. Prior to her 19 years with Facilities Planning Adrienne

worked 18 years in Pathology, Department of Microbiology as a licensed Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS)

at Cedars‐Sinai Medical Center and three other medical centers in the Los Angeles area.

Adrienne holds a Masters of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University @ Pomona

and a Bachelor’s of Science in Medical Technology from California State University Los Angeles.

She is both a registered architect and a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in the State of California.

Professional affiliations include American Institute of Architects (AIA) California Association of

Medical Laboratory Technologists (CAMLT), Southern California Branch, American Society for

Microbiology (SCASM) and American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

Past projects include the planning, design and construction of clinical & research Cath Labs. CT,

Linear Accelerators, & Research Imaging suites. Emergency Department, Cancer Institute, new OR

Suites and Pharmacy Expansions. Campus Landscape and Wayfinding Master Plans &

Administrative and non‐ clinical suites.

Annette Walker is the visionary health care leader tapped to build City of Hope, Orange County, a 21st-century approach to treating and curing cancer and other serious illness.

Named one of the 25 most influential women leaders in U.S. health care by Modern Healthcare magazine, Annette believes this latest chapter in her career is the most important, as it allows her to serve the region that has been her home for 40 years. Working with physicians, community leaders, health care experts, and others, Annette will expand City of Hope’s world-class health network in Orange County, with the main health campus planned for Irvine’s Great Park. Stemming from the main health campus will be a network of services and programs providing breakthrough treatments and therapies, as well as education and preventive care to make the region healthier.

Known for her ability to get the job done, Annette is a master at strategy and planning. Before coming to City of Hope, she was President of Strategy for Providence St. Joseph Health System, the nation’s third-largest health system. While there, she was instrumental in bringing two noted health organizations together, and, within the first year, succeeded in convening key stakeholders to develop a transformational strategic plan.

Annette also served as interim president and chief executive of St. Joseph Health before the merger of St. Joseph Health and Providence. Under her leadership, St. Joseph Health became a leader in acute care, wellness, and disease prevention. Her team opened several groundbreaking Wellness Corners and other programs bringing wellness and health education literally to the doorstep of many communities.

Annette holds a master's degree in health care administration from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in biology from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She is the mother of six children, grandmother of 12, and an advocate for organizations promoting effective work-life balance.

Robert P. David was appointed by Governor Brown as director of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) on April 13, 2012.

Prior to his appointment to OSHPD, David was an executive for the American Hospital Association where he worked on state and federal issues impacting the industry. From 2005 to 2010, David served as the Chief Deputy Director for OSHPD, and before that, he was the Regional Vice President at the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California for six years. Other state government experience includes serving as Assistant Secretary at the Health and Welfare Agency and as Senior Negotiator at the California Medical Assistance Commission.

From 1999 to 2003 David served as a member of the State Emergency Medical Services Commission and is a former member of the San Joaquin County Health Commission. He was selected as a Sierra Health Foundation Health Leadership Fellow in 2002, and completed the Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government at Harvard University in 2006.

Gregg Zoll is the Vice President of Facilities Management and Development at Sharp HealthCare. Prior to joining Sharp HealthCare, Gregg was at Stanford Medical Center where he served as the Director of Renewal Projects. Prior to Stanford, Gregg had extensive construction management experience with Hoag Hospital in Orange County. He has more than 28 years of diverse construction industry experience encompassing project estimating, program management, project controls, project management, contract administration and project engineering. Gregg is a design professional and an advocate of Design-Build. A strong team leader with a demonstrated history of building partnerships and high performance teams.

Patrick Peterson is executive Vice President for the Southern

California region of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. In his

current role Peterson oversees design and construction services

on all healthcare projects in Southern California. In addition,

Peterson provides leadership to the company’s project executives

and implements strategic approaches to new opportunities for

McCarthy clients.

A 26-year veteran of the construction industry, Peterson has

made significant contributions to some of McCarthy’s most

successful projects in Southern California. Peterson has

participated in the design and construction of over

$2 billion in healthcare projects throughout his career. His

extensive resume includes notable projects such as Loma Linda

University Medical Center Campus Transformation Project, Santa

Barbara Cottage Hospital, Mission Hospital Acute Care Tower,

Kaiser Permanente Lancaster Medical Office Building, St.Jude

Becky Clift is an expert at electrical engineering design, assessment, and evaluation for

healthcare projects. As tk1sc’s Healthcare Sector Leader, Becky is responsible for setting the

vision, direction, and strategy for collaborating with clients, trade partners and other

stakeholders to improve patient outcomes throughout the Western United States. Becky’s

passion for healthcare design started when she began working at the same Long Beach

Memorial hospital where she was born. Today, twenty-eight years later, with experience in

OSHPD 1, OSHPD 2, OSHPD 3, and now OSHPD 5 projects, her extensive healthcare knowledge

base allows her to bring exceptional value to solving today’s engineering-related healthcare

challenges, mentor staff and consult with clients on a variety of projects including new

construction, remodel work, seismic upgrades, utility infrastructure design, and master

planning. Additionally, she is actively involved with OSHPD to improve processes and update

healthcare building code to embrace the latest in technology.

During this time of system transformation and geographical growth for

Cedars Sinai, Alicia is responsible for the management and leadership of

capital projects related to the health system’s expansion, the Medical

Delivery Network growth, and the built platforms supporting care delivery transformation. Her

responsibilities include hands on work with Real-Estate strategies that support the robust portfolio of

new clinical space. Since 1995, Wachtel has dedicated her career to Healthcare Design. Prior to joining

Cedars-Sinai in 2017, Alicia Wachtel was a Principal in the Los Angeles office of HOK.

Wachtel’s professional career has been focused on the delivery of complex replacement projects and

the multiple delivery methodologies associated with them, including hospital P3s.

Alicia holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from the Technion, Israel Institute of

Technology, where she transferred from the School of Architecture, Universidad del Estado,

Montevideo - Uruguay.

Jeff West (he, him, his) is Fred Hutch’s vice president of Facilities & Campus

Operations. West manages and provides overall leadership for Fred Hutch

operations in Facilities Planning& Administration, Facilities Engineering,

Environmental Health & Safety and General Operational Services.

West is responsible for developing, executing and monitoring strategic plans and

programs in operational areas reporting into him. He also advises the chief

administrative officer on matters relating to all areas of the organization in

support of the business goals and mission of Fred Hutch.

Before coming to Fred Hutch in 2022, West was the vice president of Real Estate

Strategy and Operations at Providence St. Joseph Health and oversaw the Real

Estate, Facilities, Construction and Environmental Services departments in

California. His work in real estate development and management has sent him up

and down the West Coast, from Portland, where he brought the country’s first

LEED Urban District online, to Southern California, where he integrated regional

real estate and construction teams for Providence into the broader health

system

Tre has spent a nearly 30-year architecture career in the planning, design, and execution of a variety of complex healthcare projects. With effective communication and robust management skills, he has successfully supported clients within multi-layered healthcare environments, delivering projects from multiphase emergency room renovations to multi-level freestanding hospitals.

As Regional Director of Healthcare, Tre uses his understanding of the industry’s unique demands to provide clients with efficient layouts of clinical and diagnostic spaces and patient-centered design elements. His collaborative approach, use of lean management tools, and experience with multiple project delivery methods have been of sustaining value in developing options and design solutions on complex projects.

Tre’s ability to work comfortably with multiple stakeholders and his dedication to client advocacy has led to extensive work with established healthcare leaders, including Kaiser Permanente, Scripps Health, Universal Health Services, and VA Medical Center.

Throughout her career as a senior sales leader, consultant, and entrepreneur, Lori set out to energize teams around a central idea—providing clients with the services they need in the most efficient and forthright way possible. She can see products and services from the client perspective and builds an account strategy, integrated solution, and team approach around fulfilling her customers’ needs.

Lori is currently the Regional Sales Manager, Southern California for Climatec doing what she loves…leading and developing sales teams. At Honeywell, Siemens Building Technologies & Schneider Electric, her roles included Sales Engineer, Account Manager, District Sales Manager and Branch Manager.

At Climatec, Lori leads the effort to provide innovative, future forward technology solutions to growing healthcare networks. Clients include Loma Linda University Medical Center, Torrance Memorial, CHOC Children’s Hospital, City of Hope, Kaiser Permanente, Providence Tarzana Medical Center and Scripps Health.

Jake has been with the firm since 2005 and focuses on the overall vision and strategy of the company including financial, operational, growth, team and delivery partnerships. Jake is a LEED® Accredited Professional and has a California real estate broker’s license. Jake received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2003, a Certificate in Real Estate Finance, Investments and Development and a Certificate in Healthcare Transformation from the University of California Irvine. Jake lives in Encinitas, CA with his wife and three kids

Shane Seitz has spent eight years with Ventas as a Senior Investment Officer. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, he is responsible for driving growth and diversification of the Company’s leading national Medical Office/Outpatient (MOB) real estate portfolio. Shane has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and is a member of the HREI Board of Directors.

As a Preconstruction Director for Skanska focused on Healthcare projects in California, Mike works with clients in a collaborative environment to provide cost estimating expertise and guidance during the design phase. He has over 23 years of experience in project delivery. Mike's interest in healthcare construction began at an early age. When he was a child his grandfather, who was a healthcare architect, would give gifts wrapped in architectural blueprints – back when they were still blue! He has been learning about construction and design ever since.

Mike has an OSHPD Class "A" hospital inspector license, which helps him understand and mitigate challenges inherent in building California's healthcare facilities. He especially enjoys the creativity and collaboration required to deliver a construction project on a hospital campus while maintaining the existing facility's on-going operations.

Mike has served his community as a lead mentor in the ACE Mentor Program, which introduces high school students to architecture, construction, and engineering careers. He has a B.S. in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University and a M.B.A. from the University of Florida.
