Alina Moran, MPA, FACHE, FAB is the president at Dignity Health – California Hospital. Since joining California Hospital, Moran has spearheaded numerous hospital-wide initiatives focusing on patient safety, health equity, and employee engagement, while being an active voice and advocate for members of the local communities. Additionally, she oversees the large-scale construction of a new four-story patient tower which will house new Emergency and Trauma departments, new NICU and maternal health departments and much more. Moran has also played a pivotal role in integrating the Hope Street Margolis Family Center with the hospital which continues to impact the thousands of children and families that utilize its community health and educational services. Moran sits on the Board of the Hospital Association of Southern California (HASC).

Dana is the Director of Operational Planning and Facilities Development at Kaiser Permanente, Orange County. She joined the Southern California Permanente Medical Group (SCPMG) team in 2013 as the Department Administrator for the Gardena, Torrance and Manhattan Beach medical office buildings. She also had the opportunity to work with the teams that designed and built both the Manhattan Beach MOB and Signal Hill MOB (Next Generation) medical office buildings. Dana transitioned to the Orange County leadership team in 2016. In her current role, Dana represents the SCPMG physicians, administrators and staff while working with the design, construction and facilities/maintenance teams in the Orange County Service Area. In her work with the Executive Leadership, KP National Facilities Services (NFS), architects, decision support, and the regional Care Transformation team, Dana has a unique role of applying her career’s experience to the design, construction and operational function of the medical office buildings, patient care areas and administrative spaces throughout the entire OC Service area. Before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2013, Dana enjoyed a career spanning more than 25 years in hospital and healthcare administration around Southern California, holding leadership positions in supply chain, performance improvement and perioperative services. Dana earned her BA in Biology from UC San Diego, Revelle College and her MHA from the University of Minnesota. Outside of work, Dana is a National Elite official for women’s lacrosse and enjoys spending time with her partner, active teenager and two senior rescue dogs.

Sing Sing Lee is an architect with Cedars Sinai, her previous portfolio consists of various markets from Healthcare, Higher Education, Corporate commercial, and Entertainment. Some of her signature projects include Johns Hopkin Children’s hospital, LACCD DB Projects, various project with Kaiser, and a development of 300 acre medical city in China. Within these projects she has held roles ranging from Project Designer, Medical Planner, and or Project Manager. This is her 5th Year working at Cedars-Sinai and she received her Bachelor degree for Architecture from SCI-ARC in 2000

Alison Birnie is a seasoned leader with over 30 years of experience. Currently she is the Clinical Director for multiple service lines at Huntington Hospital, a level II Trauma center in southern California. Among her responsibilities is primary oversight for all clinical operations for the hospital’s inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units. Under her leadership the outpatient programs successfully transitioned to telehealth during the pandemic meeting the needs of our patients and offering group therapy outside of the normal service area. She has a varied resume which includes, clinical risk management, quality, performance improvement and patient safety. Additionally, she worked as a critical care, hospice, home health and transport nurse. Alison has a Masters in Healthcare Administration and is currently enrolled in a dual MBA/DNP program.

As an Executive Director at Devenney Group Ltd., Scott Mackey has over 30 years of experience in the architectural industry and has been providing high quality design and project delivery to a variety of clients with significant focus in the healthcare market. He provides strategic leadership and direction for projects in California. Throughout his career, his philosophy has been to listen, build consensus, and prioritize the client’s needs. His robust experience makes him acutely aware of the lasting impacts of the architectural building industry, integrating sustainable design elements into the built environment. His target is always to deliver a timeless aesthetic that focuses on quality, efficiency and environmentally responsible design solutions. His inspired creativity and forward-thinking design aptitude, foster team collaboration and innovative design solutions. Amy is passionate about advancing strategies that drive industry trends and anticipate next-generation solutions while creating lasting, successful organizational changes.. Throughout her career, Amy has helped organizations rethink their strategies and facility investments to anticipate dynamic and evolving consumer expectations, risk-based reimbursement, clinical outcomes, and policy changes for a stronger, more sustainable future. Facility planning and design, investment strategy, payer and provider organization business process improvement, service line planning and implementation strategies are examples of her experiential portfolio. She has extensive experience in leading complex projects for major health delivery systems, including hospitals, clinics, payer organizations, state and federal organizations.

Nick brings nearly 40 years of experience in healthcare code compliance, fire protection, and emergency management. Before joining our team, he served as the Fire Chief with the State of Connecticut, directly responsible for protecting a vulnerable residential population with the CT Department of Developmental Services. Nick also holds a bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Technology. Since joining Jensen Hughes, Nick has been responsible for and led teams across North America and the globe providing fire code compliance and emergency management services to healthcare. Nick and his teams have partnered with regional and state Healthcare entities, Healthcare Systems, Hospitals, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Long Term Care and across the healthcare continuum to help these organizations be safe, secure and resilient. Nick is currently the Chair of the NFPA 99 Technical Committee on Health Care Emergency Management and Security and a Primary on the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code® Board and Care Facilities Technical Committee. Nick’s fire safety experience includes years as a career and volunteer firefighter. He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) and Certified Fire Service Instructor and has taught advanced courses in firefighter training, incident command and hazardous materials response. He knows and understands the regulatory landscape of Life Safety compliance and Emergency Preparedness in healthcare, and he is also a frequent speaker in local, regional, and national healthcare venues.

Aimee Fields is a seasoned health and wellness professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry. She currently serves as an HCP Account Executive at Technogym USA. She collaborates with various clients, including leading corporations, interior design and architecture firms, real estate agencies, healthcare facilities, universities, and government organizations. Her primary focus is to help these organizations implement wellness programs and optimize their teams' health and wellbeing through Technogym's comprehensive products and solutions. Aimee's commitment to driving positive transformation and long-term success for each of her clients is evident in the tailor-made wellness solutions she provides. She guides implementation and offers ongoing support to ensure that organizations unlock the full potential of their teams by cultivating a culture of wellness and optimal health. JJohn Pollock is Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director at Meridian. Mr. Pollock is responsible for the capital markets, financing, and operational functions of Meridian. He works with his executive leadership team on the company’s strategy and operations. Before his most recent role, Mr. Pollock served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer. With more than 30 years of knowledge shaped by a wide range of experiences in commercial and residential real estate development, Mr. Pollock has proven his ability to lead, manage and develop highly effective cross functional teams. Prior to joining Meridian in 2006, Mr. Pollock served as General Manager for national home builder Centex Homes where he was responsible for all land development, construction and sales in Santa Fe, New Mexico. From 1997 to 2003, Mr. Pollock served as Vice President of Bovis Lend Lease, a leading international project management and construction company operating in more than thirty countries. At Bovis, Mr. Pollock’s responsibilities included managing finance, project controls and risk management and he was involved in a wide range of transactions in size, scope, and geography. Notable developments Mr. Pollock has been involved in include, Santana Row in San Jose, CA, Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco, CA, Lincoln Square in Bellevue, WA and the Privatization of Fort Hood Family Housing in Killeen, TX. John is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and sits on the ULI Health Care and Life Science Council. He also serves on the HREI Editorial Advisory Board and is a Certified Public Accountant. Nancy Moses serves as Principal with Trammell Crow Company, where she leads project execution within the Los Angeles business unit. Specializing in client management, Nancy helps occupiers identify and implement real estate solutions, and is sought after by clients for her ability to drive decision-making consensus and then convert that shared vision into a turnkey delivery. In her tenure at TCC, Nancy has successfully delivered over 1.7 million square feet of office and healthcare developments within the greater Los Angeles area, with more than 750,000 square feet anticipated to commence construction in 2023. Nancy was recognized as Commercial Property Executive’s Stars to Watch in 2020, and one of Real Estate Forum’s 2022 Women of Influence. Recent projects include the Vermont Corridor County Administration building, MLK Medical Office Building, Engemann Student Health Center on the USC Campus, and the USC Keck School of Medicine Soto Health Science Building.

Bryan Lewitt is a Managing Director for JLL in the Downtown Los Angeles office. He serves as JLL’s Southern California Practice Leader for the Healthcare Services Group in Greater Los Angeles and Orange County. He leads a team of three professionals with over 50 years of combined real estate experience. Bryan’s broad range of healthcare expertise spans the areas of assignments with hospitals or owners of medical office buildings, representing healthcare tenants or buyers, as well as development and investments in the healthcare field. With his legal background, Bryan structures joint venture real estate syndications, tenancy in common, leases with equity and other complex transactions. Currently, Bryan’s healthcare transaction volume is over 15 million square feet of healthcare related real estate valued in excess of $1.5 billion. He has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California since 1989. Mr. Saba is responsible for asset management with a focus on healthcare real estate at Stockdale. Previously, he worked with Meridian, a Marcus and Millichap subsidiary, as an acquisition manager in Southern California from 2015 to 2016. Prior to Meridian, Mr. Saba was the Director of Leasing and Marketing for Pacific Medical Buildings’ Real Estate Services team, responsible for building and managing the leasing platform for a medical office portfolio in excess of 3 million square feet across the western US. Before Pacific Medical Buildings, Andrew worked with Healthcare REIT, now Welltower, in the Management Services Group division as a property manager, beginning in South Florida and relocating to Southern California in 2007. Mr. Saba holds a California RE salesperson license as well as the RPA designation through BOMI. Mr. Saba holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Communication from Florida State University.

Tim Olivos has spent the past 8 years on Ventas’ investments team with deep expertise in all Ventas’ asset types. As an investment officer, he is responsible for driving growth and diversification of the Company’s life science and medical office portfolios. Prior to Ventas, Tim worked at Stifel as an investment banking analyst in the real estate group. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and was a starter on the football team.

Mr. Ross joined the firm in 2015. As a Vice President in the Transactions group, he assists in the sourcing, analyzing, and closing of transactions and venture relationships within the firm’s areas of specialty real estate. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Mr. Ross held an internship with JFP Holdings, Ltd. as an Investment Banking Analyst. Mr. Ross holds a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan. Teresa believes design can empower physicians to heal, scientists to discover, and healthcare leaders to innovate. She has designed over 30 million square feet of healthcare facilities, totalling over $27 billion. Teresa has planned every modality and department in a hospital, outpatient facility and skilled nursing facility; experience which led to OSHPD leadership to invite her to serve as an OSHPD Emergency Design Task Force team leader. Teresa’s planning philosophy integrates Lean principles and evidence-based design to create highly efficient healthcare facilities with exceptional patient experience and staff satisfaction.

John Koss is a Senior Vice President, Asset Management & Partner with Anchor Health Properties. Based in the San Diego California office, he brings more than 35 years of broad commercial real estate experience in areas such as asset and property management, contract and lease negotiation, as well as financial and statistical modeling. John is responsible for leading the firm’s asset management and operations for the Western Region US investments, as well as supporting underwriting and due diligence efforts on new firm medical office investments. In collaboration with the Development and Property Management teams, he works to identify opportunities and create value in Anchor’s medical office properties while providing leasing direction, risk mitigation, and budget accountability. Prior to joining Anchor, John spent seven years as an Asset Manager for Lillibridge Healthcare Services/Ventas, Inc. serving the Western Region of the country. He has also served as the Vice President of Asset Management at Grubb & Ellis Realty Investors, and the President and Principal at Teak Properties. He holds a California real estate broker license and is a Certified Property Manager (CPM®) for which he serves on the National Audit and Investments Committee, as well as a Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM), for which he serves as a member of the National Audit Committee. Hillary Dorne is a member of both the Corporate Practice Group and the Health Care Practice Group in Buchalter’s San Diego office.
