As executive vice president of the West region at Shawmut Design and Construction, a leading $2 billion national construction management firm, Skalaski sets the strategy to ensure continued growth, executional excellence, and technical expertise. Under his leadership, the region—including the LA, Irvine, and Las Vegas offices—builds some of the most complex, iconic, and innovative spaces in the ground-up commercial, hospitality, education, life science, sports venues, and retail sectors. With 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Skalaski’s previous roles include vice president and director of operations, managing teams nationwide. He is a member of the Los Angeles Advisory Board for The Posse Foundation, on the ULI LA Leadership Council, and is an active member of LAEDC and LABC.

Megan Valentine is an architect with a passion for creating sustainable and healthy occupant-focused

spaces. She is a skilled design strategist with a decade of experience leading holistic sustainability and

healthy building efforts for private, non-profit, institutional and public developers and owners. As KTGY’s

first director of sustainability, she skillfully guides the process of third-party certifications, leads

sustainability and resiliency efforts internally and externally, and mentors team members to successfully

integrate sustainable strategies into every design.

Ms. Valentine currently sits on the AIA California Climate Action Committee, is a former Vice President

of the AIA California Academy for Emerging Professionals and a former member of the AIA National

Associates Committee.

Andrea lead’s Eden’s Real Estate Development team and is responsible for Eden’s new business and pre-development pipeline, new construction, real estate acquisition and portfolio renovation efforts. Under her leadership, Eden currently has a pipeline totaling nearly 5,000 homes for lower-income households across California.

Since joining Eden’s development team in 2008, Andrea has overseen the development of over 2,500 new units and the acquisition of over 1,500 existing units in six California counties – from Sonoma to San Diego County. She is currently managing Eden’s expansion into new regions in California, with a growing department of 27 development professionals.

Andrea has significant experience in construction management, construction litigation and public contracting. She worked as a construction management consultant for Capital Projects of UC Berkeley where she was involved in large rehab and new construction projects – from planning and development through funding and construction. Additionally, she was the lead paralegal in the construction group at Hanson Bridgett Marcus Vlahos & Rudy, a San Francisco law firm.

Andrea serves as President of the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County (board member since 2013) and is an inaugural board member and Treasurer of SV@Home, a housing advocacy organization in Santa Clara County.

Andrea Osgood earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) with Honors from Pomona College and a Master of Arts in Urban Planning from the UCLA Graduate School of Public Policy and Social Research.

Ken Lowney is the Founder and President of Lowney Architecture, a multidisciplinary practice offering architectural, interior, and master planning services. With locations in Oakland and Honolulu, the firm focuses its practice on residential, mixed-use, hospitality and retail projects. Al Udwin has worked in the multi-family industry in Southern California since 1976 at every level from carpenter to President of Construction for industry leaders including Archstone, Alliance Residential, The Hanover Company among others. As a licensed contractor since 1978, Al developed a keen understanding for the multi-family conventional construction systems and has applied that knowledge to innovate and pivot these systems into modular technology. Al has stood on the modular factory floor for over a year developing innovations to the modular format with his focus on increasing typically site-built construction tasks to be performed in the factory, further accelerating and minimizing total project durations.

Brian Kang, Chair of Greenberg Glusker’s Real Estate Group, has experience in a wide range of real estate transactions, including the acquisition, disposition, financing, and leasing of commercial, retail, multifamily, and industrial properties.

Brian’s clients include real estate investors, developers, financial institutions, national universities, and REITS. Brian is also active within the Los Angeles community. He currently represents the Korean American National Museum on a pro bono basis as the museum’s real estate counsel. Brian has also been on the Board of Governors for the Korean American Bar Association of Southern California since 2013 and served as President of KABA-SoCal in 2018.

Michael Mathews is the Founder and CEO of Assemblage Works, Inc.
