What You'll Learn:
Where modular and prefabrication are successfully being applied across Southern California development projects
Why some developers are reconsidering modular as a universal solution
What factors determine whether offsite construction actually reduces costs and timelines
How transportation, logistics and factory capacity impact modular project feasibility
How developers are structuring projects to manage financing, insurance and construction risk
The role of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) in successful prefab projects
How automation, robotics and digital construction technologies are transforming the prefab pipeline
Whether modular construction can realistically help address California’s housing shortage
How You'll Do More Business From Attending This Real Estate Event: Prefabrication, modular and offsite construction continue to generate significant attention as developers search for ways to accelerate project timelines, control costs and address speed-to-market. However, recent projects have also sparked a growing debate: Is modular truly scalable, or does it only work under certain conditions? Join leading developers, contractors, manufacturers and policymakers as they examine where prefabrication and modular construction deliver real value, and where the model still faces challenges. From factory capacity and financing hurdles to transportation logistics and design limitations, this event will explore the practical realities of offsite construction and what it will take for the industry to scale successfully in Southern California. Learn how developers are evaluating modular construction against traditional methods and how emerging technologies, new manufacturing models and policy support could determine the future of factory-built development.

oWow: This Bay Area affordable housing project is finally rising. The real test is what comes next
Villa: 250-unit REIT-owned property in San Diego, CA, Villa introduced two detached ADUs designed as spacious three-bedroom, two-bath homes with 1,000 sq. ft. of living space and private yards. Completed with offsite construction and installed on permanent foundations, the project turned previously unused land into high-demand rentals that quickly leased at a premium over comparable units on the property. Delivered on time and with a 0.3% budget variance, the new homes elevated both resident experience and long-term asset value. Villa partners with multifamily operators to seamlessly add high-ROI units to their properties, managing every step from site planning and permits to construction, installation, and warranty support.
