Working With The CRE Community To Achieve Goals & Enhance Quality of Life In LA

City of LA Sanitation & Environment

As LA Sanitation & Environment’s Chief Sustainability Officer and Chief Resiliency Officer, I work to achieve the ambitious goals to combat climate change as it impacts our water and waste management infrastructure, policies, and the residents we serve. Through integrated planning and inclusion of all of our diverse stakeholders, we seek innovative ways to preserve, protect and enhance our services to protect the quality of life in Los Angeles and beyond. The challenges are constant given the risks we all face as the current crisis shows how interconnected we are. Therefore we must act steadfastly to seek consensus, lead by example, and move forward toward a cleaner, more just society.

I’m excited to be part of the planning team for the Olympic & Paralympic Games LA will be hosting in 2028. I’m a firm advocate in reaching everyone’s full potential and enjoy mentoring and recruiting future leaders and contributors in our efforts to continue to meet and exceed expectations placed upon us.
