Prior to founding Miramar Capital, Mr. Fuhrman was Executive Director and Head of U.S. Acquisitions at Colony Northstar, Inc. (fka Colony Capital, Inc.). At Colony, Mr. Fuhrman led many of the firm’s flagship debt fund investments (Colony Distressed Credit and Special Situations Fund, I-IV). In addition, he was responsible for new strategic initiatives and participated in real estate-related fundraising efforts. From 2010 to 2014, Mr. Fuhrman also served as the CEO of Colony’s Asset Management Company. During his tenure at Colony Capital, Inc., Mr. Fuhrman was responsible for the sourcing and consummation of more than 40 investments representing more than $4.5B of total capitalization and $1.5B of invested equity.

Prior to joining Colony in 2008, Mr. Fuhrman was an Equity Partner at Latham & Watkins, LLP where he co-chaired the firm's global real estate practice group. Mr. Fuhrman serves on the board of the Los Angeles chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In 2012, he founded the Make-A-Wish Real Estate Division which has raised over $2.0M to date. Mr. Fuhrman is a periodic guest lecturer at both the USC and UCLA law schools on the subject of real estate finance and investing.

Mr. Fuhrman received his J.D. degree (Cum Laude) from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 1995 and his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1991.

Steve Bram is President and co‐Founder of George Smith Partners, Inc. He (and

his team) have arranged over $3 billion of financing in over 200 transactions

during his 30 years at GSP, including all types of construction, bridge and

permanent financing on commercial and residential properties along with highly

complex structured financing including mezzanine, preferred equity, and equity

placements. Mr. Bram is able to utilize his outstanding lender relationships to provide creatively structured

financings for his clients.

Mr. Bram is also a recognized specialist in the area of hotel financing. He has been involved in over 30 hospitality

related transactions totaling $500 million in the last 15 years. He also has expertise in apartment financing and

renovations of older buildings along with solutions to environmental issues.

Mr. Bram started his real estate career 38 years ago by using his real estate license in the family development

business. For a while, he worked as a professional electrician. He has extensive experience in hotel management

and operations, having worked for Hyatt and Sheraton Hotels. Later, he worked for Kotin, Regan and Mouchly, a

consulting firm specializing in econometrics, real estate consulting for municipalities and redevelopment districts.

Mr. Bram earned an MBA from The Wharton School of Finance in 1984. He also earned a BS from the Cornell

University School of Hotel Administration in 1979, graduating #1 in the class. He also spent time studying

economics at Claremont McKenna College.

Mr. Bram is active in community affairs. He served as Chairman of the Real Estate and Construction Division of

the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles and co‐chaired with his wife many of their annual Real Estate Fundraising

Dinners. He serves on the financial oversight committee of the Jewish Federation. He is active with the

Washington Institute and recently joined the board of the American Jewish Committee. He is a founding member

of the Eagle Scout Association of Los Angeles. He is an active member of the Moriah Society of the University of

Judaism, the Cornell Society of Hotelmen, the Wharton Club of Southern California and of the California Mortgage

Bankers Association.

Mr. Bram is a regular guest lecturer at UCLA Real Estate Extension, USC’s Undergraduate and Graduate finance

classes, the Appraisal Institute and the Beverly Hills Bar Association, where he teaches advanced real estate

finance topics. He co‐authored a book with Stephen Rushmore on the Appraisal of Hotels, Motels and

Restaurants published by the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He is frequently quoted in hospitality

and real estate publications.

He is happily married for three decades to Julie and has two grown children, Benjamin and Alanna.

Mr. Friedman is a co-founder of Mesa West Capital. Prior to co-founding Mesa West in 2004, Mr. Friedman spent three years at Maguire Partners as a principal and was in charge of capital market activities which included the restructuring of the firm’s debt, the buy-out of partners and the firm’s eventual $800 million initial public offering. Mr. Friedman transitioned into real estate finance in 1994 initially as a Vice-President originating large loans at Nomura Asset Capital Corporation and later as a Director at Credit Suisse First Boston in New York. Mr. Friedman began his career as a corporate lawyer, working initially in Tokyo, Japan for an affiliate of Sidley & Austin and then in New York for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. Mr. Friedman graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), a master’s degree in Applied Economics and a law degree from the University of Michigan.

Her background in environmental science, in addition to her knowledge of current environmental regulations and the real estate industry, allows her to offer comprehensive environmental consulting services for real estate transactions.
