Mr. Grossman is a Senior Managing Director at Meridian Capital Group. He opened the firm’s San Diego office in May 2011 charged with expanding the company’s presence throughout the western and southwestern states. In his 10+ years leading the west coast for Meridian, Mr. Grossman has built a team that has originated and closed more than $12 billion of debt and equity transactions spanning more than 600 loans across primary and esoteric asset types.

Prior to opening Meridian’s San Diego office, Mr. Grossman was a Structured Finance Analyst Fitch Ratings, a Principal at Mission Peak Capital, and worked in Meridian’s New York City office where he closed in excess of $3 billion.

Mr. Grossman attended NYU, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management.

Bradley Ross is Vice President and senior originator at Calmwater Capital. Mr. Ross is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and execution of senior and mezzanine debt capital placement opportunities for Calmwater Capital, a Los Angeles-based private debt fund ($800MM AUM) with a focus on transitional, complex, and fast-moving transactions. Prior to joining Calmwater, Mr. Ross was a top producing broker with Major Properties Real Estate, a boutique Los Angeles commercial brokerage. In his over twelve years of real estate experience, Mr. Ross has structured transactions of all product types and across the capital stack. Mr. Ross is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A. in Anthropology), and the UCLA Anderson School of Management (M.B.A.). Mr. Ross is also a licensed California real estate broker.

Mr. Hazelrigg is the co-founder and President of Avatar. His primary focus is loan origination and underwriting. He also oversees all marketing and advertising activities. Prior to founding Avatar, Mr. Hazelrigg joined Pacific Coast Investment Company (PCIC) in 1995 as an Account Executive and became one of the nation’s leading originators of non-conforming loans. Mr. Hazelrigg has developed a nationwide network of real estate brokers, appraisers, and mortgage brokers. Mr. Hazelrigg’s responsibilities included loan origination, underwriting, locating advisors in new markets, maintaining banking relationships, and participating on PCIC’s loan board. Mr. Hazelrigg graduated in 1994 from the University of Southern California’s top rated entrepreneurial program with a BA in Business Administration. From a class of 170, The University of Southern California’s entrepreneurship program faculty voted Mr. Hazelrigg, “Most Likely to Succeed.”

Mr. Kang is a Partner with Kearny Real Estate Company and has been with the company since 2001. His responsibilities include the origination and execution of acquisitions, as well as the development management, asset management and dispositions of Kearny’s current development projects. Mr. Kang played an instrumental role in the acquisition of four million sf of properties as well as over $400 million of non-performing loans. Mr. Kang managed the successful execution of Heritage Corporate Center and took part in the successful RFP process and the development of the Los Angeles Air Force Base office campus as well as acquisitions of the Vought property and Hawthorne Airport. In the past two years, Mr. Kang played a pivotal role in the acquisitions of over eighty non-performing loans totaling over $400 million. He continues to serve as the asset manager for many of these assets.

Prior to joining Kearny, Mr. Kang was with L.J. Melody & Company, the investment-banking arm of CB Richard Ellis where he analyzed various capital structures including equity, joint ventures, and debt from various sources such as private investors, institutional investors, life/insurance companies, conduits, and mezzanine lenders. Mr. Kang has also held a NASD-licensed, supervisory position with Liberty Mutual Funds. Mr. Kang’s community involvement includes serving on the board of directors for a start-up charter elementary school in East Los Angeles. Mr. Kang also serves on the board of directors for Business Finance Capital, a 504-SBA loan clearinghouse focused on loans to small businesses in southern California. Mr. Kang has a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Harvard College in Cambridge, MA and is a member of Mensa.

Mr. Glaubach is a Managing Director in the Ares Real Estate Group, where he focuses on U.S. real estate equity and is Co-Portfolio Manager of the Real Estate Opportunity Funds. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Real Estate Group's U.S. Equity Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2014, Mr. Glaubach was a Managing Director, head of the firm’s west coast office, and a member of the Investment Committee at DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners, where he focused on sourcing and executing opportunistic real estate investments in the multifamily, hospitality, office, retail and industrial spaces. Previously, Mr. Glaubach worked at ING Barings in its New York, London and Frankfurt offices, where he focused on investment banking. Mr. Glaubach has served as an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate at the University of Southern California, and serves on the Board of Directors of the New Media Advocacy Project, a non-profit organization. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard College, a J.D., magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Michael H. Krupa serves as the President of Gemdale USA. He brings a wealth of real estate investment, business development, and operations experience to the company. Mr. Krupa oversees day-to-day management of various aspects of the company’s operations and plays a leading role in setting and monitoring company-wide strategy. Prior to joining Gemdale USA in February 2013, Mr. Krupa served as Managing Director at The Milestone Group from 2009 to 2013, where he also served on Milestone's Investment Committee. From 2001 to 2009 he was an Executive Director in two divisions within UBS. Mr. Krupa also served on the Board of Directors of Mitsubishi Corp.-UBS Realty Inc., the externally advised asset manager to two Tokyo Stock Exchange listed J-REITs, Japan Retail Fund as well as Industrial and Infrastructure Fund. Prior to joining UBS, Mr. Krupa served in investment banking capacities at McDonald Investments (a unit of Key Bank), Salomon Smith Barney and one of its predecessors, Salomon Brothers, Inc., as well as at Kidder, Peabody and Company. Mr. Krupa is Adjunct Professor of International Real Estate at New York University. Mr. Krupa received his Bachelor's degree from Northeastern University and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School. He is a CPA, a member of the Harvard Alumni Real Estate Board of Directors, and is past member of the Board of Directors of the National Multi-Housing Council.

Mike Hu has over 14 years of real estate and management consulting experience and currently leads the Capital Markets team in the US. He is currently based in the LA office (Gaw USA headquarters) and is responsible for capital formation, co-investments, investor relations and marketing. He joined Gaw in 2011 and was previously a member of Gaw Capital Partners’ acquisitions and investment team based in Hong Kong (the global headquarters), and formerly worked for Tishman Speyer as part of their Leadership Development Program. While at Tishman Speyer, he completed rotations in their London and New York offices, working in acquisitions, debt financing/restructuring, property and asset management, and design & construction. Prior to business school, Mike was a strategy and operations consultant for five years focused primarily on the real estate and energy industries. He has significant experience working in Asia, Europe, and the US. Mike is conversationally fluent in Mandarin Chinese. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics/International Area Studies with college and Latin honors from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Master of Business Administration from London Business School.

Sandeep Pathak is a Managing Director based in the Los Angeles office. His responsibilities include generating equity, debt and investment sales opportunities, nationally. He has sourced and executed more than $12.0 billion of real estate debt and equity transactions in his career. Sandeep’s experience in real estate includes principal investing, portfolio and asset management, capital markets advisory, lending, and commercial real estate debt and equity securities.

Prior to Ackman-Ziff, Sandeep worked for many years as a principal for the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and ING Clarion Partners where he focused on principal activities such as acquisitions, restructuring, JV equity, fund investing, separate account management, co-investments, capital-raising, asset and portfolio management and various strategic initiatives. Through these roles, he advised various institutional capital providers including foreign sovereigns, pension funds, and endowments. He has also advised and co-invested with various private equity funds, investment managers, real estate operating companies, REITs, and development firms.

Prior to his principal activities, Sandeep worked in real estate debt and lending for Goldman Sachs and RBS Greenwich Capital, where he was actively involved in origination, execution, and securitization of real estate loans for both CMBS and balance sheet platforms. Prior to lending, Sandeep worked in a consulting and advisory capacity with Lend Lease / Rosen Consulting Group. Sandeep earned his Bachelor’s degree in both Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University, with an emphasis in real estate and finance.
