Katherine has been in the AEC and lighting design industry for over 15 years. She is a leader in HLB Lighting Design's Denver office and has a strong focus on project management, client care, market research, geographic business expansion, and business development. Katherine currently sits on the Board of Directors for the nonprofit The Business of Light. She has recently taken part in speaking at LightFair, Enlighten Americas, Neo Con, Invest in Women Forum, and ArchLight.

Jason is a Director in the Real Estate Tax team at Evelyn Partners.

Jason has extensive experience on real estate ownership structures taking into consideration the tax

profile of the investors, the nature of the asset and the investment strategy. He advises his clients

throughout all aspects of the real estate ownership lifecycle, from acquisition to exit, looking at UK

direct taxes, VAT, stamp taxes, transfer pricing, capital allowances, and international taxes.

Jason has a particular focus on UK and pan-European Real Estate M&A and the tax services required

by investors in connection with the acquisition of entities owning real estate, including financial and

tax due diligence, tax structuring, SPA advice and tax forecasting / modelling. Jason works closely

with real estate funds and investment managers and advises them on particular tax issues pertaining

to them and their investors.

Jason is also a Stamp Taxes specialist and has extensive experience advising clients on matters in

relation to SDLT.

Bill joined Legal & General in 2007 and is responsible for transforming its UK property fund management business into a global real assets platform. Operating in both the direct investment and lending markets, today it actively invests and manages over £35bn of assets across real estate, infrastructure and corporate and alternative debt. Bill continues to play an active role in several influential government and industry committees around responsible investing, infrastructure, urban regeneration and housing. He is a Global Governing Trustee of the Urban Land Institute and is on the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (NZCBS) Governance Board. Bill is also Chair of the Property Industry Alliance (PIA), which brings together the UK’s leading property bodies to give them a stronger collective voice on issues such as policy, research and best practice. Prior to joining Legal & General, Bill was CEO at RREEF UK (the Real Estate Fund Management business of DWS) and Head of Research and Deputy Managing Director at Schroder Property Investment Management.

Kristina is the Head of ESG for Barings European Real Estate, a global real

estate platform with extensive capabilities across both debt and equity

strategies. She is responsible for the evolution of firm level real estate ESG

strategy, and alignment to the Barings Global sustainability policy. Kristina

leads net zero carbon, climate resilience and social value policies development

and implementation, which aid the delivery of Barings ESG ambition and

support Barings tenants and the value chain. She works alongside the Global Sustainability team and

serves on the European Investment Committee and the Barings Real Estate Global ESG Committee.

Rob has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate industry and is one of the co-founders of Clearbell Capital. As Managing Partner, he is responsible for developing new business and deal origination. Rob is a member of the Investment Committee and also chairs the ESG Committee. Rob previously founded Hawthorne West in 2006. He also worked as an investment broker at Nelson Bakewell Ltd (now Capita), as a founding partner of SG Commercial LLP and at niche London advisors Daniel Watney LLP. Outside of Clearbell, Rob serves on the Court of the Clothworkers’ Livery Company, with a focus on the Company’s London property portfolio.

Zoe is Head of Real Estate for Evelyn Partners and prior to joining Evelyn Partners, Zoe was a Corporate Tax Partner at EY for 9 years and before that she was at Deloitte for 10 years. She has over 27 years’ experience in the provision of domestic and international corporate tax advice, fund structuring and M&A transactions, with a specific focus on the Real Estate & Construction.

Zoe advises on tax matters arising from tax compliance and reporting as well as projects including providing due diligence and tax structuring advice on transactions. Zoe has considerable experience in both tax technical and commercial issues ranging from running complex domestic transactions to leading cross border deals which involved liaising and project managing over 25 offices globally. Zoe’s clients include British Land, Canary Wharf, Carpetright, Clifton College, Darwin Alternative Funds, Grosvenor Estates, John Lewis, Monex Europe and Native Land. Zoe has also been the Tax Audit partner on a number of FTSE 100 and 250 audits, including J Sainsbury plc, John Laing plc, Serco Group plc.

Jonathan is an industry recognised energy solicitor specialising in renewables and low carbon energy transactions. He is Head of the Energy team at Howard Kennedy and leads the firm's ESG group. Jonathan advises utilities, project developers, large industrial consumers, property developers, funders, sponsors and energy services companies (ESCOs) on energy-related transactions both in the UK and internationally. He works with clients across all technologies including energy storage, offshore and onshore wind, solar photovoltaics, combined heat and power, district heating and cooling, electric vehicles, geothermal, tidal, as well as, traditional power generation.

Andre joined Zouk’s Infrastructure Team in 2018 as an Associate. He has over 10 years of experience in banking, project finance and renewable energy investments. At Zouk Andre’s responsibilities include deal origination, investment analysis, due diligence, structuring and deal execution. Prior to joining Zouk, Andre worked in the investment team of the German asset manager, Luxcara and in the project advisory department of Investec Bank, where he focussed on transactions in the renewable power generation space. Andre holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Warwick as well as a BSc in Business from Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich, Germany.

Richard joined the Syzygy team as Head of EV in 2023, having spearheaded the expansion of a major UK Charge Point Operator since 2018. Richard has a background in commercial/retail real estate both client side and in agency and from 2012 was responsible for the launch and European expansion of Amazon Locker. He will bring over 20 years of experience to promote and develop evlab®, Syzygy's award-winning desktop analysis software - as well as leading the team to further embed Syzygy with new and existing clients requiring an end to end solution to deliver EV charging projects. Richard made the move from real estate to EV because of a genuine commitment to improve the UK’s air quality for the benefit of future generations and is regularly held to account on “what daddy has done at work” by his three young daughters. In his somewhat limited free time away from childcare, Richard is sports mad but admits that this has migrated from playing to watching in recent years.

Paul is passionate about creating an equitable society and avoiding a two-tier system for EV adoption. Most recently he specialised in developing integrated solutions for EQUANS and Amey. Working at director level for global advisory practices Aecom and Gardiner & Theobald, Paul supported local and central government to manage strategic procurements and develop workplace solutions. He has a background in estates management for the NHS and has an MBA in Leadership. At Zest, Paul leads the Business Development team, creating and continuously improving the overall sales strategy which evolves in line with the fast-paced nature of the EV industry and customers’ changing needs. His strong knowledge and expertise, paired with the invaluable skills of his team have led to high profile successes for Zest, including London Borough of Hackney, Transport for London and Savills contracts.

Chris heads Trowers' Energy and Sustainability team, and advises on a range of energy related projects - including district heating/cooling, energy supply/connections and renewable energy. He also advises on wider energy efficiency and retro-fit projects, including large-scale financed energy performance contracts and demand-side management initiatives.

Chris specialises in the procurement and structuring of district utilities, including heating and cooling, electricity and water connections and associated infrastructure. He works closely with procurement and real estate teams to develop sustainable business models (with particular focus on energy tariffs and cost recovery), guiding clients through risk review and risk management exercises. Chris also leads on the drafting and negotiation of effective contract documents - including concession agreements, operation and maintenance agreements, outsourced services (including billing and administration), feedstock/off-take agreements and domestic/commercial energy supply agreements."

Tolga Necar is a Principal Consultant at CACI. With over a decade’s experience, he specialises in the use of new data techniques to uncover the changing relationships between People and Place. Tolga joined CACI’s Property Consulting Group in 2019 and heads up the Residential and Mixed-Use sector with a particular specialism in placemaking. Through leading innovation and tech solutions in the area, Tolga is helping his clients create commercially attractive and sustainable places that respond to their audiences’ needs.

John joined Telford Homes in 2017 and brings over 16 years’ experience working in cross sector sustainability disciplines. John previously served as a Senior Environment and Sustainability Manager at Arriva Group, and before that at VINCI Construction UK Ltd. His role at Arriva included developing the Groups’ sustainability strategy, delivering best practise and providing strategic direction for bidding with clients including Department for Transport and Transport for London. At Telford Homes John is responsible for delivering on the company’s 2030 roadmap to net zero and implementing the award-winning ‘Building a Living Legacy’ sustainability strategy, embedding it as a golden thread across all departments. John’s experience enables him to take a holistic view of a scheme and is engaged from planning through to post occupancy, striving to ensure that the schemes are demonstrating industry best practices. John is also responsible for corporate reporting and managing the NextGeneration annual sustainability benchmarking submission where Telford Homes are currently ranked as the no.1 sustainable housebuilder in the UK.

Robbie Epsom is the EMEA Head of Sustainability for CBRE Investment Management. In this role, he is responsible for the EMEA implementation of the firm’s Sustainability Vision, which continues the firm’s commitment to be a leader in ESG. Working closely with the Sustainability Team and the wider CBRE Investment Management business, his priority is the continued integration and harmonization of Sustainability practices throughout the firm. Robbie also leads the corporate sustainability reporting workstream.

Robbie began his career in the sustainability industry in 2009 and has experience in sustainability and ESG advisory consulting. He is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Fellow of the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES) and Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (FICRS).

Prior to joining CBRE Investment Management in 2021, Robbie worked as a consultant and supported a wide range of blue-chip companies and major infrastructure projects as they navigated the fast-moving sustainable revolution, drawing on his background in process engineering to help them measure, communicate and manage their ESG risks.

He is a specialist in areas such as Corporate Sustainability Strategy & Reporting, Sustainability Materiality Assessments, ESG & Sustainable Finance, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Management, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Resource/Energy Efficiency and Circular Economy.

Robbie earned a Master of Engineering degree with honors and a Diploma in Industrial Studies from Loughborough University and is a Board Director for the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (ICRS).

Sandra Fives is Chief Strategy Officer at Catalyst, with over 15 years’ experience leading sustainability, energy and climate strategy across Europe. She advises investors, developers, operators and public bodies on how to turn sustainability frameworks into practical, investable strategies that protect long-term asset value.

Her work focuses on bridging the gap between policy, finance and real-world delivery, helping organisations navigate complex sustainability requirements while maintaining commercial viability.

Richard is the CEO of M3 Consulting. Since joining in 2006, he has led large-scale projects for institutional clients and landowners, championing sustainable design and socially responsible strategies. He brings extensive experience delivering complex schemes, tall buildings, and masterplans across commercial, residential, and mixed-use sectors, with a focus on Central London.

Francis Ho is a Partner at international law firm, Charles Russell Speechlys, where he leads the Living Sector. He has substantial experience on ground-breaking schemes both in the UK and internationally (particularly Europe and MENA) and regularly advise on datacentres, PRS, student accommodation, luxury and boutique hotels, sports stadia, universities, skyscrapers, power projects and other infrastructure using a wide range of procurement strategies. He also advises on distressed construction projects and on remediation works, including fire safety matters.

He has particular expertise in Building Information Modelling, sustainable development and renewable energy and sits on the Construction Industry Council's Green Construction Panel. He chairs the Chartered Institute of Building’s Contract & Procurement Special Interest Group and is also Vice-Chair of the City of London Law Society's Construction Committee.

He co-authored the Chartered Institute of Building's Complex Projects Contract 2013 and Time and Cost Management Contract 2015 contract suites. He is the editor of Sweet & Maxwell’s Construction and Engineering Precedents, one of the leading collections of precedents for the engineering and construction industry. He is ranked in the leading legal directories and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building.

Alice joined Clearbell in August 2021 and asset manages investments and portfolios across our funds and separate accounts. This includes The Kodak Building, a 70,000 sq ft office redevelopment on Kingsway which PC’d in March 2023. Alice is also the Asset Management ESG lead at Clearbell. Prior to Clearbell, Alice worked at Savills, where she worked in City Office Agency, before taking a role as an Asset Manager at Orchard Street Investment Management. She has a Masters in Engineering from the University of Edinburgh and a Masters in Real Estate from the University of Reading.

Tom is Chief Development Officer at Canary Wharf Group, responsible for delivery of the 12

million sq ft development pipeline. The pipeline includes Canary Wharf’s North Quay and

Wood Wharf developments; delivering over 5,000 homes, hotels, retail and commercial

space, together with a new life-sciences campus for London. In addition, the team leads the

delivery of the final phase of the redevelopment of the Shell Centre with our partners Qatari

Diar.

Prior to joining Canary Wharf Group in 2022, Tom was the first Managing Director of the

Euston Partnership, the Government’s largest real estate delivery partnership, and

established the Property Business of High Speed 2, created to realise social, economic and

financial value from real estate development. Before HS2, Tom spent 10 years at LandSec.

Vicki is co-Director of tp bennett’s Sustainability Team, bringing expertise to a variety of Architecture and Interiors projects. Vicki is a Passivhaus Certified Designer who champions exemplar sustainable design with a holistic approach. She is passionate about improvements in access, equality and diversity for the inhabitants of the spaces that we design. Vicki is a vocal advocate for sustainable alternatives including retrofit to bring change to the industry, and to empower everyone on our collective route to net zero carbon.

Richard’s experience is entrenched in the refurbishment, conversion and alteration of existing built assets.

An expert in managing complex repurposing projects, Richard is adept at blending feasibility with designs that meet market requirements and programmes of procurement that fulfil clients’ business plans whilst respecting their appetite for risk.

Richard oversees a department of over 100 staff nationwide, delivering the full range of building consultancy services, including; project management, development monitoring, technical due diligence, fire safety, dilapidations and other professional building surveying services.

Laura is a real estate development lawyer, advising higher education institutions, developers, institutional investors and charities on complex development transactions. She has experience of a diverse range of matters, including: site assembly, acquisition, development and disposal of commercial property; lease negotiation and property management matters; renewable energy projects; non-contentious construction matters, projects and procurement issues. Laura has a keen interest in ESG and leads the M&R Sustainability Group, as well as sitting on the BPF Sustainability Committee. She advises clients looking to improve the environmental performance of their assets on the associated legal implications. She also regularly writes and presents on ESG and sustainability matters.

Ghislaine joined Regal London in 2021 following over a decade’s experience at the British Property Federation leading external affairs and managing reputational challenges for the wider commercial real estate industry. She oversees Regal London’s broad ESG strategy including the Regal London Real Estate Academies in partnership with Building Heroes, all corporate communications and has responsibility for ED&I and culture. Ghislaine was appointed to the Regal London Board in April 2022 and is a member of the Management Committee.

May is Head of Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement.

May works across the Trilogy portfolio ensuring that ESG is embedded in everything we do, from on-the-ground in our assets to the Trilogy corporate strategy. She also brings 25 years’ experience of stakeholder engagement and partnership building in complex projects. As such she works closely with the teams in each asset – making sure we build ownership and support for our projects and deliver the Trilogy vision of taking unloved buildings and transforming them into creative, inspiring, and impactful places.

May has a First-Class Degree in Economics, Social Policy and primary and qualitative research. She is a government appointed High Street Task Force Expert and a Design Council, Built Environment Expert.

Morwenna joined the former Argent business in 2011. She became Chief Operating Officer in 2017 and Partner in 2020. Since 2023, Morwenna has been Executive Director of Related Argent.

In addition to her corporate leadership role, Morwenna led the design and delivery of several major projects at King’s Cross, including Coal Drops Yard, the Fish & Coal Building and Gasholder Park. At Brent Cross Town, Morwenna is responsible for the ground plane experience, retail, leisure and public realm.

Morwenna is a chartered mechanical engineer and started her career at Arup as a mechanical building services engineer. During this time, she was the lead mechanical engineer for the Sainsbury Laboratory in Cambridge, designed by Stanton Williams architects, which in 2012 won the most sought-after accolade in the industry – the RIBA Stirling Prize.

Matt is focused on ensuring that all corners of the Wordsearch world work to the same high standards, delivering insightful strategy and impactful creative. This requires a transnational perspective and the ability to understand how best practice from one part of the business may be harnessed and implemented in another. For clients, Matt leads on strategy, creating inspiring stories of place, always rooted in the customer experience. Working across mixed–use, residential, commercial and retail, Matt has advised clients from Los Angeles to Vladivostok and many points in between. Notable projects include The Shard, Brent Cross Town, Battersea Power Station, Brabazon Bristol, National Landing (Amazon HQ2), One World Trade Center, Hudson Yards, Masdar City and NEOM.

Chris is a dedicated professional who prides himself on building client confidence through a strategic approach to finding solutions together with excellent service delivery. The combination of an excellent work ethic and an ability to extract the best from those around him have enabled Chris to develop a broad range of skills and deliver a number of successful high profile projects. He has a wealth of experience within the industry across a variety of sectors, ranging from residential, commercial and corporate occupier to sports and leisure.

Christina joined Delancey in 2022, having spent her career at the intersection of finance and sustainability, bringing a wealth of experience in Responsible Investment and ESG analysis. At Delancey, Christina drives the firm and fund level ESG practices. Previously, Christina was Senior Associate ESG consultant at NorthPeak Advisory and KKS Advisors, where she built sustainability strategies and ESG investment frameworks for alternative asset managers, corporates, and allocators. Christina’s work on capital market reactions to corporate announcements of long-term strategic plans has been published in the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance and Harvard Business Review.

Anna Olink is the Director for EMEA at GRESB, a global ESG benchmark that provides

standardized and validated environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data intended for

the capital markets. Previously, she had a successful track record in the co-management of

multi-billion-euro real estate portfolios for leading asset management companies such as

BNP Paribas Asset Management and Kempen Capital Management, where she captained

the implementation of ESG standards in the real estate investment process. Anna holds MSc

degree in Real Estate Investments from the University of Lodz, and MSc degree in Global

Challenges from the University of Edinburgh. She is passionate about finding solutions to

poverty, inequality and underinvestment in low-income countries, and aspires to create

demonstrable impact to fight climate change.

Hans Vrensen, CFA©, CRE© is a managing director heading AEW’s award-winning European

Research & Strategy team supporting its investment clients and businesses. Hans is a member of the

Executive Committee, the Logistis Fund and other Investment Committees. AEW’s European

research team has developed a series of publications focused on relative value using its bespoke

forecasts, the debt funding gap and climate impact on real estate markets. AEW has also hosted 14

bi-annual New Data in Real Estate Labs showcasing new data sources and applications in European

real estate investment. As an analyst in the international commercial real estate capital markets with

30 years of experience, he has recently joined ESCP as an adjunct professor. Hans is co-founder and

chair of the non-profit European Commercial Real Estate Data Alliance (E-CREDA). Previous he held

roles at Green Street, DTZ/C&W, Barclay’s Capital, Moody’s, LaSalle IM and C&L/PwC in the UK and

US.

Lindsay Taylor leads the implementation of Deepki’s ESG platform & consultancy services across

for global real estate clients, accompanying stakeholders all the way from data collection &

analysis to ESG strategy alignment to implementation with the goal of accelerating real estate’s

environmental transition towards net zero and sustainability.

Starting her career in hospitality, initially in operations then into commercial pricing, her roles

highlighted a lack of easy-to-access data that allows for clear, effective commercial decision

making.  Lindsay branched out into data systems and technology which in turn lead her to real

estate, which was and continues to struggle with the same issues of single source of truth and

easily accessible data. Through her journey in real estate, data has become more accessible,

with SMART building technology and the drive to reduce carbon on the journey to net zero.

Lindsay has a strong drive to support the personal development of her team, and Deepki’s growth

in the UK is a great opportunity to develop a diverse team and support those in their early stages

of their careers in real estate.

Lindsay is great believer in challenging and pushing herself out of her comfort zone to further

develop both personally and professionally, which she has done through the evolution of her

career in moving both industries and specialist subjects. In her spare time Lindsay enjoys

running and is training towards completing a marathon.

Anastasia is a partner in Maples Teesdale’s commercial real estate team and is Head of ESG at our firm. In this role, Anastasia leads our ESG committee, which is committed to understanding the changes and how it affects our clients and their business interests, assisting them to respond swiftly to challenges and opportunities across all sectors and disseminating this information both within our firm and externally.

Anastasia has extensive experience of capital transactions; acquisitions, disposals and refinancing of commercial property, including portfolios and sale and leaseback transactions; developments, pre-lets as well as asset management [shopping centres, retail parks, hotels, warehouses, industrial parks and offices]; and specialist expertise in dealing with embassy and ambassadorial premises.

Anastasia is the co-Head of Diversity and Inclusion at Maples Teesdale. As an individual is passionate about the need for diversity within the legal profession, Anastasia pro-actively supports, and helps drive our Firm’s view that a diverse workplace is key to our business. Anastasia is also responsible for selecting trainees and paralegals to join our team. Anastasia is also a keen advocate of women raising their visibility in both the legal profession and the real estate industry. Emilio joined Patron in October 2019 as Chief Sustainability Officer and is responsible for the implementation of Patron’s sustainability policies across its projects throughout Europe. Alongside this, his role as a Development Director sees him focus on projects in Spain, France, Portugal and Italy. Prior to joining Patron, Emilio was responsible for the expansion of Generator Hostels, including the development of projects in Barcelona, Rome, Madrid, Miami and Washington DC, and oversaw the implementation of the business’s sustainability strategy across these assets. Emilio previously gained experience at Saco Property Group, Urbaser, EC Harris, World Bank and Ibinser/Deerns, where he managed projects for clients including Blackstone, Hard Rock, Anytime Fitness and Cisco Systems. Emilio has a civil engineering degree from Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya and has been a professor at the University in Barcelona, as well as a guest lecturer at the University of Milan.

Nina is a Senior Manager in the Real Estate Investment team at Norges Bank Investment Management. Norges manages approximately $55 billion in real estate investments across listed REITs and direct investments in office, retail and logistics on behalf of the Norwegian sovereign wealth fund. Nina’s primary responsibilities includes the development and implementation of the fund’s ESG strategy across its global real estate portfolio. Since joining Norges Bank in 2013, Nina has been actively involved in building the global real estate business.

Shravan is presently the Chairman of the Planning & Transportation Committee and a Member of the Policy and Resources Committee. He is also the Policy Lead for High Growth Markets for the City of London Corporation. He has served since 2018 as an elected member at the City Corporation and has held various positions including, Deputy Chairman of the Licensing Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Streets and Walkways Sub-Committee & Deputy Chairman of the Property Investment Board.

Shravan started his career in investment banking but moved to the energy sector in 1999. He

specialised in trade structuring and supply chain contracts into Central Asia, Eastern Europe, the Far East and North America. He has worked with several new energy technology companies, and currently advises firms on policy, governance and commercialisation of new innovations and solutions.

Laura Jockers is the Global Head of ESG for M&G Real Estate. In her role, Laura works with M&G Real Estate’s global teams to drive the implementation of its ESG strategy, enhance the existing work being done by M&G’s funds on net zero pathways, and ensure the business continuously improves its GRESB targets. With 15 years’ experience working within sustainability teams for property companies, Laura joins from The Howard de Walden Estate where as Head of Sustainability she set ESG strategy for its 92-acre portfolio. Prior to this she was a sustainability consultant at JLL where she supported a wide range of real estate clients with their sustainability agendas.

As a chartered Sustainability Consultant for Drees & Sommer, Ana has a wealth of experience in ensuring core sustainability aspects are embedded within projects, making sure they are supporting our pathway to net zero carbon and wider environmental and social sustainability agenda from the onset.

She has worked in developing sustainable planning & implementation strategies, benchmarking systems for build assets, health & wellbeing, net zero carbon, healthy materials, and international project work across all project stages from concept/competition through to completion. Ana is also the lead for the Living Future Europe in the UK and has organised several events promoting transparency and material health in the construction industry.

Prior to joining Drees & Sommer, she held the role of Senior Sustainability Consultant at Mott MacDonald, where she was responsible for managing sustainable design aspects, wellbeing and supply chain transparency. Her educational background includes an BSc (Hons) in Architecture and Urbanism and a MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design.

For over a decade, Katherine Sanganee has championed wellbeing and sustainable practices. Starting her career with Landcare Australia, a grass-roots environmental charity, Katherine has international research and communications experience. This includes work with the Canadian Standards Association in Toronto during the pandemic and five years for Special Acoustic Services (SAS International) in the British manufacturing sector. Recently, she has set up the Concept Development department at SAS with a focus on sustainability and wellbeing in the design of workspaces, schools, and healthcare facilities.

The Rt. Hon John Gummer, Lord Deben, is the founder and Chairman of Sancroft International, a consultancy that advises both businesses and investors on all areas of Sustainability and ESG. Between 2012 and 2023 he was Chairman of the UK’s Independent Climate Change Committee. Lord Deben was also the UK’s longest serving Secretary of State for the Environment (1993-97) having previously been Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food. His sixteen years of top-level ministerial experience also include Minister for London, Employment Minister, and Paymaster General in HM Treasury. Lord Deben is currently Chairman of Valpak Ltd and of PIMFA, the trade body representing financial advisers and wealth managers. Throughout his political, business, and personal life Lord Deben has consistently championed an accord between sustainability and business sense.

Mike is UK editor of Bisnow. Before this, alongside three friends he bought pan-European property mag EuroProperty out of non-existence and re established it before selling the business to PropertyEU. Prior to that he was editor of Property Week, and has also worked for Estates Gazette.

Kate has worked in Milliken’s Floorcovering Division for over 20 years in a variety of roles including product development, process improvement and marketing.

Kate is passionate about sustainability, leading the Milliken European Sustainability Team. As such, she is actively engaged in driving the reduction in carbon footprint of Milliken’s Portfolio and advancing circular economy solutions.

Kate is a WELL Accredited Professional and has led the certification process for Milliken’s WELL Platinum certified London Showroom.

Karen has over 20 years in the Interiors industry working with Global Fortune 500 Customers and currently with Milliken Floorcovering Division servicing these clients with delivery of Sustainable Flooring solutions, Wellbeing, M/PACT Carbon Neutral and ESG metrics as a Supplier. Karen is a WELL Accredited Professional.

Alexa Culver is General Counsel at Environment Bank. A lawyer with over 12 years of experience working on land and planning-based projects and in the emerging fields of Natural Capital and environmental legislation, Alexa ensures that all legal aspects of our Habitat Bank model are robust, and legal transactions progress smoothly as we bring forward our national network of Habitat Banks.

Lloyd works within Environment Bank’s cross-disciplinary team of ecological, planning, technical, geospatial, and legal BNG specialists as Principal Planner. Lloyd works closely with our developer clients and the wider team to guide land and planning directors and their consultants through the often high-stakes BNG aspects of the planning process. Lloyd has many years of experience in the private sector and spent several years leading projects for a range of retail, mixed-use, leisure and hospitality, residential, and commercial clients across England, and Wales, and leading on Sustainability.

Pete is Head of Development at Berkeley Estate Asset Management (BEAM) where he is responsible for the refurbishment and development programme across the Berkeley Square Estate. He has a wealth of experience across the full lifecycle of property, having started his career as a structural engineer before qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor at Gerald Eve. Pete then spent a decade at Derwent London, managing innovative office developments before joining BEAM, where his focus is on delivering better buildings for the future. 38 Berkeley Square will be the first & tallest exposed timber office building under current fire regulations to be delivered in London.

Pete has been a Board Director at Piercy&Company for the last decade and oversees a wide variety of projects. He also leads our building resilience group and has a particular interest in how we holistically assess our decisions around how and what we build and move beyond reductive metrics.

Pete's central London experience covers commercial and residential sectors, from the recently completed Forge buildings for Landsec, the soon-to-be-complete 300,000 sqft mixed use R8 buildings at King's Cross for Related Argent and a new campus workplace in Shoreditch for Brockton Everlast.

Due to complete next year, 38 Berkeley Square for BEAM will be the first tall exposed timber building under current fire regulations and sets a new benchmark for workplace on an iconic London square. The building will be the new home of Chanel's corporate headquarters.

Outside the practice, he is a member of the Lambeth Design Review Panel and a design tutor at the London School of Architecture.
