Anand Verma founded Brilliant Basics in 2012 and with more than 20 years’ experience across the digital and technology industries, Anand is an innovator and digital entrepreneur.

Hayley Holness is an Investment Director in Lendlease’s Investment & Capital Markets team in Europe and is responsible for transactions across various asset classes.. Hayley joined Lendlease in 2018 from Tishman Speyer’s acquisition team and her experience includes acquisitions, dispositions, development, asset management, and business strategy across the EMEA region.

Dr. Rick Robinson is the Leader of Arup’s Digital Property and Cities business. He advises cities,

infrastructure operators, property developers and investors on the use of technology to improve

buildings, infrastructure, places, communities and business and organisational performance.

Previously, he was Director of Technology for Amey, where he was responsible for driving advances

in digital technology into public services and infrastructure that are used by about 1 in 4 people in

the UK every day, and before that he was Executive Architect for Smarter Cities for IBM. Rick

collaborates with a network of technology entrepreneurs, Universities and social institutions to

explore innovations in digital technology, and has advised the UK Government and United Nations

on their impact on the built environment, economy, communities and society. Rick is a Fellow of the

British Computer Society, a Fellow of the RSA, a member of the Academy of Urbanism, a member of

James Penfold is Global planning and communications Director at The Collective and oversees the planning strategy for the business and across its portfolio. James’ role involves working in partnership with local communities and the public sector to deliver innovative and community focused places. James is a specialist in the co-living sector having advised Welive, Realstar and The Student Hotel before he joined The Collective.

Astrid Panosyan joined the Group in September 2015 as Group Chief Resources Officer. She was previously an advisor and member of the cabinet of Emmanuel Macron, then French Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs, and was in charge of Economic Attractiveness and International Investments. Astrid Panosyan started her career at AT Kearney before joining AXA’s Strategy Department in 1998, then the Department of Business Support & Development for the Asia-Pacific region. In 2002, she joined Groupama, holding various senior positions in the International, Strategy and Finance Departments. She became General Secretary of Groupama in 2011. Astrid Panosyan is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris (France), HEC (France) and Harvard University (USA).

Richard has twenty years’ experience working in real estate, predominately in senior management,

consultancy & research, and business development roles. Richard is a director of CoStar responsible

for analytics and the development of market leading products such as Propex, amongst others.

Richard Joined from Cushman & Wakefield/DTZ where he was Head of Research. Previously Richard

has been a director of Experian and RCA where he was responsible for developing and managing real

estate services. Richard is a member of RICS and holds a master’s degree in economics. Richard has

published numerous reports, is a regular presenter at industry events and commentator in the

media.

Sally Jones is head of Strategy, Digital & Technology at British Land, playing a fundamental role in shaping British Land’s strategic direction and leading the company’s technology effort. She is the executive committee’s sponsor for diversity and inclusion.

Over the past year, Jones has overseen the implementation of real estate technologies across British Land’s portfolio, including at 100 Liverpool Street, and partnering with Equiem to deliver a new digital tenant engagement app at Broadgate. As part of the latter effort, Jones joined Equiem’s board as a nonexecutive director. She is also on the advisory board of WiredScore.

With more than 25 years of experience in a broad range of industries and roles, Jones joined British Land in 2010 as head of investor relations. She previously worked as a strategic communications adviser to Lloyds Banking Group, and in investor relations, corporate communications and finance roles at Cadbury.

Outside of her day-to-day role, Jones’s free time is almost entirely sucked up by four energetic daughters and a lively labrador. She would like to have more time to play the piano and swim.

John has led the design of some of KPF’s most notable and innovative projects. John’s

approach is rooted in detailed analysis of the context, on each project he builds consensus

across diverse expert teams and seeks to promote design that is authentically sustainable

and inclusive. His unique design solutions include Chapter London Bridge, a landmark

student housing development and The Bermondsey Project, where he led the detailed

masterplan for a major regeneration project featuring more than 1,500 BTR homes. An

authority on a range of architectural subjects, John is part of New London Architecture’s

Sounding Board and has represented KPF at lectures and conferences around the world.

His work has been recognised by multiple awards.

Prior to joining Hyde, Andy was the Global Managing Director of Real Estate and Housing at Lloyds Banking Group (LBG). He also spent time as the Lloyds Bank Mortgage Director and Group Head of New Mortgages and Managing Director of The Equity Businesses. He worked with the UK Government to bring Help to Buy to market and led strategy, products and propositions to support LBG in maintaining a market leading position in key segments such including First Time Buyers, New Build and Buy to Let. During his time at Lloyds Andy was the CEO founder of the Housing Growth Partnership, a private equity investment fund, which supports SME housebuilders in accelerating the delivery of new homes.

Prior to LBG Andy held a number of senior roles in leading UK brands including Virgin Money, Direct Line, RBS, NatWest and Tesco

John Mulryan is the Group Managing Director of The Ballymore Group.

Based in London, John has overseen Ballymore becoming one of the biggest providers of residential accommodation in the city. These include landmark schemes including London City Island, Embassy Gardens, and Goodluck Hope. John also worked alongside the US government to move their embassy from Grosvenor Square to Embassy Gardens at Nine Elms, establishing a new riverside cultural district for the city and signalling a major shift in London’s diplomatic centre of gravity.

In Ireland, John is overseeing the completion of the group’s regeneration project on North Wall Quay, Dublin Landings. John is also responsible for ensuring planning permission is submitted for Ballymore’s large mixed-use scheme on 2.8 hectares at CIE Connolly Station in Dublin’s IFSC.

Prior to being appointed Group Managing Director in January 2018, John was Managing Director of Ballymore UK from July 2010. Prior to that, he was General Manager of Operations from July 2008 to July 2010.

He graduated from University College Dublin with a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering in 2004.

Nicole Morton is Head of E-commerce Business Development at DHL Express UK. Nicole holds responsibility for the business’ customers in the e-commerce sector and for the strategic development of solutions to support international e-commerce deliveries. She is also responsible for the E-commerce Business Development Managers, who support the e-commerce strategy and customer growth within the UK.

Nicole, who has 8 years of experience in the logistics field across South Africa, Europe & the UK, first joined the DHL business in May 2015. Starting as an Account Manager in the London Region, Nicole’s talent, passion and drive to support a customer’s growth plan and future successes, coupled with her expert shipping knowledge, enabled Nicole to become London and the South Region’s E-commerce Business Development Manager within the year.

Her expertise and focus saw Nicole become Area Sales Manager for Reading in January 2018, followed by Head of E-commerce Business Development in October 2019.

Ralph Winter, Principal of W5 Group, has committed $300 million to Quarters’ co-living platform to develop 1,300+ units in the next three years. In August of 2019, W5 Group acquired a 318-unit property in Washington D.C.’s Union Market and has leased 99 of the units to Quarters. It will be the first mixed co-living and conventional residential property in the DC Metro area.

Ralph’s success stems from his tenure as founder and largest shareholder of Corestate Capital Group, an S-DAX listed company based in Frankfurt with over €26bn assets under management and 730 employees in 7 countries. Ralph built Corestate to become one of the leading fully-integrated investment management real estate companies in Europe. Richard has been a tech company leader for 20 years and has spent the last decade innovating in the in-building wireless sector at two telecoms start-ups. First through Ubiquisys who pioneered small cells and then Stratto which Richard helped found and guide to financial maturity while connecting thousands of people to in-building mobile signal using digital distributed antenna systems technology. In November 2018 Stratto was acquired by the Digital Colony Partnership and merged with Opencell, specialists in indoor mobile connectivity using small cells. Combining Stratto and Opencell unites their shared pioneering approach of indoor mobile connectivity as a service. Meaning whether a building is the largest, smallest or even underground, with StrattoOpencell, they’ll have network.

Mike heads up the real estate team at Cripps Pemberton Greenish. The team comprises over 100 commercial property lawyers covering all types of investment and development opportunity. Since taking the helm in 2015, Mike has grown the real estate practice by 15% and added significant new clients to our portfolio, including Deliveroo and The Dulwich Estate, as well as substantially growing longstanding relationships with M&G Real Estate and Tristan Capital. Mark Stansfield is the Head of UK Analytics at CoStar Group. He manages the team of analysts at

CoStar and is responsible for CoStar’s analytic output, which includes reports (more than 500 of

which have written commentary), news articles, webinars and presentations. Mark writes CoStar’s

London reports and is the lead author of CoStar’s quarterly UK Investment Report and associated

presentations. He joined CoStar as an analyst in 2004 after earning a B.A. in International History

and Politics at the University of Leeds. Mark is a long-standing member of the Society of Property

Researchers.

Patrick Williams is a partner in Fried Frank's European Real Estate Group, resident in London.

Mr. Williams has wide transactional experience on commercial real estate matters, including large scale mixed-use developments and pre-letting arrangements, joint venture agreements, complex real estate investment transactions and real estate finance.

Joanne McNamara is Executive Vice President – Europe of Oxford Properties, a leading global real estate investor, asset manager and business builder. In this role, Jo is responsible for all aspects of Oxford’s business across Europe. Jo is a member of Oxford’s Leadership team, Investment and Executive Committees, and most recently took up a non-executive role at ESR, a Pan-Asian fund management business. Jo was one of Oxford’s first team members in London, joining the European investment team in 2010, and over the past decade has contributed to and led many of the organization’s most significant investment and development transactions. Jo was most recently responsible for the operating performance of Oxford’s European business and leadership of the 40+ person European team.

Prior to joining Oxford, Jo worked in investments and development at leading real estate companies. Jo has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Honours) from Cardiff University and a Master of Science in International Real Estate from the Oxford Brookes University and currently lives in London. She previously received recognition as a PERE Woman of Influence and received a 2021 PERE Award for European Industry figure of the year.

Karim Habra is responsible for Ivanhoe Cambridge European platform and its future growth. He oversees all the company’s real estate operations in Europe including its development activities.

Karim Habra began his career with GE Real Estate in 1998 and was given responsibility for its Central European operations in 2003, before joining JER Partners in 2008 as Managing Director, European Funds. In 2012, he joined LaSalle Investment Management as Managing Director of Central Europe before serving successively as Managing Director of France, then Head of Continental Europe.

Bethany studied at University of Reading and the Bartlett, UCL where she became interested in the role of the public sector in creating great places and the delivery of social and community infrastructure including affordable housing through planning. She has worked for 17 years in Inner London authorities including Westminster, Lambeth and Camden and has focused on development management. Her current position is at London Borough of Camden as Head of Development Management, an authority which she has such passion for she has worked twice. Key projects that she has been involved in are the hugely successful and multiple award winning regeneration project at King Cross Central and the World Conservation and Exhibition Centre at the British Museum which was shortlisted for the Stirling Prize in 2017. Her key areas of focus at present, alongside leading the DM service, is on HS2 and Euston, as well as a number of nationally important projects for key medical and research institutes and other Knowledge Quarter Partners. Bethany is passionate about the ‘town planning’ profession and building a stronger more positive image of local authority planning.

Andy has close to 30 years' experience in real estate and brings extensive knowledge of the Company and the real estate sector in both the UK and Continental Europe. He is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Andy was appointed Chief Operating Officer at SEGRO in November 2011, having joined SEGRO in 2004. He was appointed Executive Director in

May 2013. Andy was previously SEGRO's Managing Director for Continental Europe. Prior to this, he was the Director of Corporate Acquisitions and Business Development Director. Before joining SEGRO, Andy spent 19 years at Jones Lang LaSalle, latterly as European Director for the company's industrial and logistics business.

Nick Leslau, 57, BSc (Hons) Est Man, FRICS, is Chairman of Prestbury Investments LLP, Investment Adviser to the Group. He is a Chartered Surveyor who has been Chairman and Chief Executive of Prestbury Investment Holdings Limited since it commenced business in 2000 and Chairman of Prestbury Investments LLP since its establishment in 2006. He was Chief Executive of Burford Holdings Plc for approximately ten years up to 1997 and Group Chairman and Chief Executive of Prestbury Group Plc from 2008. He has sat on many quoted and unquoted company boards including, most recently, Max Property Group Plc, and is a Member of the Bank of England Property Forum.

Transactional construction lawyer with 25 years experience advising on the construction law aspects of acquisitions and disposals, regeneration, development and the provision of related infrastructure. He also advises development funders on construction law aspects of secured lending arrangements.

Sam has a particular focus on the living sector and on co-living developments.

Jonathan co-founded Cain International in 2014 and has since built it into a privately held real estate investment firm with $5.8 billion of debt and equity transactions in Europe and the United States. Under his leadership, Cain International was named Property Week’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2017.

Prior to Cain International, Jonathan was Head of European Real Estate and Direct Investments at Guggenheim Partners, the global investment and advisory firm. He previously served for seven years as Deputy Chief Executive of Heron International, where he led substantial real estate transactions in the UK and Europe and played a central role in Rontec’s 2011 acquisition of 500 Total petrol stations and the majority of its downstream business in the UK.

Prior to Heron, Jonathan worked at Olswang LLP, an award-winning international law firm. He became a partner at age 28 and one of the youngest ever chief executive of a city law firm at age 32. Under his stewardship, the firm’s turnover grew significantly and it was awarded ‘Law Firm of the Year’ on multiple occasions. During that time, the firm also expanded operations into Belgium and Germany and entered into a global alliance with Greenberg Traurig.

Jonathan currently serves as the Chair of the Jewish Leadership Council, the umbrella organisation of the UK Jewish community. He is also the Chair of the Trust of the Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth, a trustee of The Gerald & Gail Ronson Family Foundation and an Honorary President of Camp Simcha. He previously served as the Chair of Partnerships for Jewish Schools (PaJeS), the Vice-Chair of Jewish Care and Chair of Governors of Kerem School in Hampstead Garden Suburb. Jonathan holds a law degree from the University of Manchester and qualified as a solicitor in 1988.

Nigel won the ‘Most Admired Leader’ award at Britain's Most Admired Companies Awards 2017, for Management Today. He was also City AM "Business Personality of the Year" in 2014. In 2015-2016 Nigel was a member of the Prime Minister’s Business Advisory Group.

Nigel was Chairman of the Investment Association’s review of Executive Pay (2016-2017) and the governments review of Mission Led Business (2016- 2017). He was also a member of the governments Patient Capital Review Industry Panel (2017–2018) and a Commissioner in the Resolution Foundation’s Intergenerational Commission (2017–2018). Nigel is currently a member of the expert group advising on the government’s Social Care Green Paper.

Qualifications include a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Kennedy Scholar, and a recipient of the Alfred P Sloan research scholarship. Nigel also worked at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER).

Sachin Rupani is a Senior Managing Director, leading the acquisitions team. Sachin joined Meyer Bergman in 2018 having previously been with the firm for 6 years since 2009. Together with the CIO, Sachin is responsible for creating and executing the investment strategy for all European investments. Prior to joining Meyer Bergman, Sachin worked at Cale Street Partners and started his career at Goldman Sachs. Sachin has been involved in sourcing, underwriting, executing and/or financing over €8 billion of investments including corporate acquisitions, joint ventures and operating platform investments. He has also invested across numerous real estate sectors and throughout the capital structure, in the UK and across Europe. Sachin graduated with honours from Bucknell University, USA.

Lesley Males is the Head of Research at Datscha UK, a Swedish proptech company. Lesley joined Datscha in 2017 and is responsible for reporting on trends and insights in the commercial UK property market, particularly within the commercial investment sector. She has over 15 years’ experience working in the property sector. Before joining Datscha, she was the Associate Director for UK Retail Research at CBRE. Prior to this she worked for Tesco within the Site Research department in the Property division managing competitor insight and strategy.

Guy Battle is a Sustainability Consultant with over 25 years of experience. Guy originally trained as an engineer and much of his early career was focused within the real estate industry, during which time he worked on many award-winning projects with internationally renowned architects. More recently, Guy was the lead partner for Sustainability at Deloitte LLP, where he worked closely with many corporates helping them solve some of the key sustainability challenges facing the world of corporate business. In September 2014, Guy set up The Sustainable Business Partnership and is now focused on unlocking the inherent social, environmental and financial opportunities that businesses should do to create value. In spring 2014, Guy supported Hazel Blears MP with a review of The Public Services (Social Value) Act with a series of cross party recommendations to Cabinet Office. Guy is passionate about the contribution that Business can make to improve our society and this has been one of the driving motivations behind the creation of The Social Value Portal.

David Hawkins has been a partner in the real estate team at Norton Rose Fulbright LLP for over 10 years specialising in investment and development transactions across all sectors. Projects David has been involved with include the joint venture funding of the extension to the Westfield London Shopping Centre, the development of a 36 story mixed use tower opposite the Barbican and the development of Europe’s largest newly opened deep water port at London Gateway in Essex. David is involved with a number of industry bodies and sits on the City of London Law Society Land Law committee.
