Henry is a founding partner and Managing Director of MGT Investment Management, which

is an independent real estate investment and asset management business focused on

residential asset classes in the UK and Europe. Henry is jointly responsible for leading the

business and setting the investment strategy. Henry leads on new investments, which has

included the acquisition and venture formation of MGT’s multifamily projects at Station Hill

(1,200 units), Greenwich Peninsula (1,100 units) and Battersea Power Station (92 units).

Henry has over 20 years of industry experience. Before founding MGT, Henry was Managing

Director and Head of Europe at Amstar Global, where he was responsible for acquisitions

and asset management of the company’s £1 billion European portfolio. Henry spent over

eight years at Europa Capital, between 2006 and 2014, where he was a Director of

Acquisitions and responsible for sourcing investments for a series of Europa Capital’s funds.

Henry has a first-class degree in Property Investment and Finance from the University of

Reading. He is an active member and mentor for CREW UK, and the Reading Real Estate

Foundation.

Ann Xu

Ann Xu joined CBRE Investment Management in 2016 and is the Portfolio Manager for the CBRE UK Affordable Housing Fund, responsible for portfolio management and overseeing the day-to-day running of the Fund. Ann has worked on the Fund since its inception and focuses on Impact and sustainability strategy and implementation, executing transactions and delivering business plan objectives. Ann also works on CBRE UK Property PAIF where her responsibilities include transactions, asset management and ESG.

Ann is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and is also FCA-approved, holding her Investment Management Certificate since 2019. Ann graduated from the University of Cambridge where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Land Economy. Ann is a Certified Person under the FCA’s Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR)

Mr. Piper is a Partner based in London and a member of TPG Real Estate’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining TPG, he was a Partner in the Real Estate Group at Ares Management, where he spent 12 years, before which he was a member of the European Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Credit Suisse. He received a Masters degree in Physics from the University of Cambridge, where he graduated with First Class Honours. He is also a trustee and Honorary Treasurer of the Royal Trinity Hospice, a charity providing care and support for those with life-limiting conditions in London.

Tim is a highly experienced property and communications professional with a wide range of

experience across the property sector.

His responsibilities at NHBC centre on relationship management with NHBC traditional

builder customers, as well as a wider group role as a director, overseeing a team of NHBC’s

sector heads within the alternative residential markets with sector focus on Build to Rent,

housing associations, local authority engagement and retirement living.

Prior to NHBC, Tim worked in a public relations and communications agency environment,

most recently for five years with Four Communications Group, starting as a director, and

then promoted to managing director, whilst also sitting on the company’s board. Before that,

Tim spent eight years at Chime Communications where he rose from account manager to

managing partner in less than five years, to head up the business’s property arm, Good

Relations Property, also sitting on the Good Relations Board. Other roles have included

RICS and London & Quadrant Group.

Kathryn has been a Director of Vistry Group for almost 8 years and is now the Partner

Investment Director. She leads on a portfolio of projects to support the delivery of the

Group’s growth ambition with a strong focus on strategic partnerships delivering multiple

tenure housing solutions, place development and sustainable communities. A key part of

her role is growing the BTR part of the business for Vistry.

Kathryn is a Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years’ experience in the housing and

regeneration sectors. Her experience includes working in housebuilding, private practice

and as a director in a large housing association. Her wide-ranging experience and role

provides a unique perspective on mixed tenure delivery, regeneration and joint venture

working. Kathryn is also the lead Director for the Groups For-Profit Housing Association, a

Non-Exec Director of Elim Housing Association and a Board Member of UK Single Family

Association.

She is a passionate believer in the need to increase delivery of housing across all tenures

and has become a highly respected voice in the sector, regularly speaking at major panels

and conferences.

Alan Penfold has over 13 years’ experience in real estate property planning and development having delivered numerous large-scale housing and mixed-use developments for three of the UK’s Top 10 Major Housebuilders.

Before joining Apache, Alan worked for the housing and mixed-use developer Crest Nicholson having joined in 2013. Alan held the position of Development Director for the largest region of Crest, successfully managing the Development Team and was responsible for site acquisition, development and planning for the region completing over 600 units per annum over 12-15 outlets. Alan has experience on a wide range of deal structures and has successfully managed joint venture developments with public, private and government authorities.

Alan is responsible for the day to day running of the Present Made business as well as strategic direction and leadership, he also sits on the Apache Executive Committee.

Barry is a partner in Shoosmiths’ real estate division and has a broad spectrum of expertise in all areas of real estate work, with particular focus on the residential development and investment markets, including market leading work in the single- and multi-family BTR sectors. His experience includes the structuring and delivery of numerous core BTR funds, which have delivered several thousand BTR units across the UK. He acts for developers, landowners, funders and investors across the residential sector, with a key emphasis on complex development arrangements, including conditional contracts, option arrangements, joint ventures, leasing, property finance arrangements and lending, as well as tax efficient property structures and vehicles.

Eleanor has 19 years' of experience and prior to PGIM Real Estate was and Assistant Vice President at DWS asset managing a mixed-use portfolio.
