Jaap L. Tonckens joined the Management Board of Unibail-Rodamco, that became Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield on 7 June, 2018, as General Counsel in 2009 and then became Chief Investment Officer in 2010. He was promoted Chief Financial Officer on July 1, 2012. He retains the supervision of the Group's investments in his current position. Prior to joining Unibail-Rodamco he was a Managing Director at Endurance Capital, a private equity firm in New York. Then he worked at Morgan Stanley & Co. (1994 - 2008), first in London and then in New York, where he was a managing director in the Leverage & Acquisition Finance department. Prior to that, he worked at Shearman & Sterling in New York and Paris for more than four years. Jaap L. Tonckens is a graduate of the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and of Emory University in Atlanta (USA). Born in 1962, Jaap L. Tonckens is a Dutch and US national.

Julian advises on a wide range of development projects including mixed-use town centre, high density residential and office / workspace regeneration schemes.

Julian also advises on the re-purposing of retail parks into alternative uses. He works principally for funds and other institutions but also has experience advising local authorities. While he has extensive experience in London he also advises on projects throughout the country.

Julian specialises in advising clients on the planning and development potential of sites and the formulation of planning strategies in respect of both new development projects and existing property assets. He also acts as Expert Witness at planning and CPO inquiries as well as in The High Court.

Cadogan today announces the appointment of Steve Medway to the newly created role of ‘Place Manager’ for the 93-acre Cadogan Estate in Chelsea. He will contribute to shaping Cadogan’s overarching stewardship of the neighbourhood, focusing specifically on coordinating and driving forward placemaking strategy for world-famous destinations such as Sloane Street and the King’s Road.

Medway joins the business from the New West End Company (NWEC), where he has spent the last three years as Managing Director for the trading environment, overseeing the management and promotion of Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street in central London. In this time, he developed the first ever business-led Air Quality Strategy and helped to create the UK’s first ‘Smart Street.’

Continuing her passion for experiences she joined Merlin Entertainments in

2015 as Head of Marketing for Thorpe Park Resort moving to The London

Eye, Merlin’s largest and most profitable attraction across the globe.

She has recently moved to Samsung Electronics UK to build and lead a team

to launch and operate Samsung’s first UK Showcase, a 20,000 ft space at the

heart of Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross, designed by Heatherwick

Studios. Samsung KX LDN will be an iconic destination which brings the latest

technologies to life with curated experiences. It will showcase how multiple

Samsung devices and services come together to deliver a complete and

harmonized experience; making consumers lives easier, more convenient,

and more efficient.

James is an international executive with over 20 years of experience in retail technology, payments and international expansion. He was perviously a founding member of Blackhawk Network in San Francisco where he was also the Managing Director of the EMEA division based in London. Blackhawk scaled from the founding team to an IPO on the Nasdaq in 2013 at a valuation in excess of $2 billion. Prior to Blackhawk, James was Group Vice President with News Corporation's News America Marketing division based in NY and LA. Over his career James has worked closely with a variety of companies on strategic commercial partnerships in the US, Europe, India and Asia with partners such as Apple, Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon, Tesco, Boots, Carrefour, Kroger, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, NFL, MLB, NBA, and more.

James left investment banking in 2007 to complete his lifelong dream of climbing Mount Everest making him one of the youngest Britons to do so. After 4 years in Eastern Europe, James moved to Malaysia to grow the business as CEO of Asia. Jatomi grew to 70 clubs across 7 countries. trends.

Alice Keown is F&B Asset Manager at British Land working across the portfolio, which includes Meadowhall, Sheffield; Broadgate, London; and Drake Circus, Plymouth. Alice has extensive experience of the F&B and leisure industry having worked on a number of high profile development projects including; Westfield London, Westfield Stratford, Westgate Oxford, Heathrow’s Terminal 5 and Tottenham Hotspur FC’s new stadium. Prior to joining British Land, Alice worked at Davis Coffer Lyons’ (DCL) London Estate and Development team, World Duty Free and Heathrow Airport.

She is also a trustee of Wednesday’s Child, a local charitable trust which aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged children in north London through fundraising projects which do not receive grants or funding from elsewhere.

David leads the teams in St James's London, Kings Cross, Victoria and the City.
