Basil is managing partner of FORE, a pan-European social impact real estate investor and

developer set up by Jeff Skoll, the billionaire co-founder of Ebay, to invest in property and

drive positive social and environmental impacts.

FORE is a family office, and now invests the money of more than a dozen wealthy

individuals and families from around the world, who share a commitment to sustainability

and social value. FORE is one of a very small group of UK social impact real estate

investors – and is active in London and key regional cities including Manchester and

Glasgow, as well as Germany.

FORE’s main focus is on offices, transforming outdated buildings into modern workspaces

Recently completed projects include Windmill Green, the most sustainable new office

Miloš Halečka is Innovation Director at MiddleCap, an investment and real estate company with a focus on innovative and cutting-edge office schemes. Miloš has been instrumental in developing smart technologies for MiddleCap’s BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ flagship building Southworks, which was named ‘the world’s smartest office’ in 2021. He believes that the real estate sector is on the brink of a new era where data and technologies start to play a role as important as bricks and mortar have for centuries. Miloš’ responsibilities include finding technological solutions to current challenges in the real estate sector such as user comfort, hybrid working or climate change – from finding the right technologies for smart buildings to establishing ESG policies for MiddleCap’s operations and product creation.

He has conducted research on disruptive PropTech innovations, property investment, data issues, environmental sustainability, as well as social issues impacting the asset class. His background also includes entrepreneurship and start-up advisory in Europe, Africa, and Australia.

Luke’s interdisciplinary studies include a Bachelor of Commerce (Property) from Western Sydney University and an Executive MBA from the University of Oxford. He has also studied postgraduate economics, change management and psychology at the University of New South Wales and Monash University.

Matt is a Senior Strategist within LGIM’s Real Assets Research and Strategy team. Matt joined LGIM Real Assets in 2018, having spent over seven years at specialist retail and leisure consultancy, CACI, where he held the title of Managing Consultant and was Head of Leisure consultancy. At CACI, Matt worked with over 45 retail and leisure operators to inform their property and customer acquisition strategies.

Oliver Kummerfeldt

Oliver Kummerfeldt is the Head of European Real Estate Research at Schroders Capital, Schroders dedicated private assets business line, providing research, insights, and forecasts for commercial real estate markets across Europe. In this position, he helps to develop Schroders investment strategy and assists leadership, transaction- and asset managers in decision making. He joined Schroders in 2014 and is based in London. Before joining Schroders, Oliver was an Associate Director at Jones Lang LaSalle (now JLL), where, between 2006 and 2014, he held various roles in the EMEA Real Estate Research team in Hamburg and London. Oliver is a member of the Investment Property Forum (IPF) and a member and former chair of the Society of Property Researchers (SPR). He studied economics, law and geography at Hamburg University and holds the German “Diplom” degree in geography.

Robin Rivaton is the CEO of Stonal, a 6-year old 125-employee tech company. Stonal is the

was a VC investor at Eurazeo focusing on smart city and proptech startups. He is the

founder of Real Estech, the leading think tank in the real estate industry publishing a more

12 000-reader weekly newsletter. Alongside he sits on the board of several property

developers and REITs as an independent director. He has published 8 books on tech and

real estate and frequently writes columns for French newspapers. He served as economic

advisor to Bruno Le Maire, the current French Minister of the Economy, and Valérie

Pécresse, Governor of the Paris Region.
