Skills and expertise: Emily has overall responsibility for overseeing Leasing and Asset Management transactions, building on our excellent customer service and relations, leading our marketing and digital strategy, whilst continuing to ensure that our future developments provide best in class workspace for the next generation of businesses. Emily is a chartered surveyor and was previously Director of Investment Management at CB Richard Ellis North America.

Jon has worked at The Crown Estate for more than 20 years and leads the offices team working across the 9m sq ft Central London portfolio. Jon has played a major role in driving forward and leasing The Crown Estate’s office development pipeline. This includes major schemes at 20 Air Street, 1 New Burlington Place, 10 New Burlington Street, The Marq, working together with partners NBIM; and St James’s Market, a joint venture with Oxford Properties. He also oversees the leasing and asset management of The Crown Estate’s directly managed office portfolio across Regent Street and St James’s, which ranges from flexible workspaces including One Heddon Street to HQ office buildings of +100,000 sq ft.

Aneta Popiel heads up the Flexible Office platform at HB Reavis UK and is a Business Development Manager for HubHub in the UK.

Aneta has 5 years’ experience in commercial Investment and Development market in London and currently works on development of workspace as a service within the business as well as establishing a PropTech and Smart City innovation platform at 20 Farringdon Street.

Aneta is also a Vice-Chair of CPA NextGen and a member of the BPF Tech and Innovation Working Group and Women In PropTech.

Based in London, Layth is co-Managing Director of Drees & Sommer UK, alongside Phillip Ratcliffe. Layth is an Ivy-League trained architect and real estate development expert with 15+ years’ experience in strategic advisory, international property development and project management across EMEA.

Alongside his role as Managing Director, Layth works with Drees & Sommer’s global Real Estate Consulting team and is responsible for deal origination, technical due diligence, strategic advisory and master planning for flagship land and real estate developments.

Kathryn Harrison is the Global Business Partner to the Investment Banking divisions

within Deutsche Bank, with regional accountability across Americas, Asia Pacific and

UK&I portfolios for Corporate Services. Since joining Deutsche Bank in 2005, Kathryn

has held a variety of roles spanning real estate and operations management, change

management and strategy across Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa and the Rest of

Europe before relocating back to the UK. Currently responsible for driving the London,

New York and Pan India Accommodation Strategies, which are challenging workplace

convention and building for a rapidly changing IT landscape and workforce both in terms

of gender and age diversity.

Kathryn holds a degree in Geography from Royal Holloway & Bedford New College,

University of London as well as various engineering and facilities management industry

qualifications.

Kathryn is married with two children and is an active champion of diversity and part of

the leadership committee for Crew UK.

Joyeeta Das is an entrepreneur who has built a career in the technology sector. Her early work was defined by progress in the engineering and program management ranks in Fortune Ten tech companies. She founded and exited two successful startups, one in the tech sector and one nonprofit.

Along with fellow Oxford graduate David Kell, in 2015 Das founded technology company Gyana AI. Gyana is a self-service data science platform that enables insights around locations and people, using big data and artificial intelligence technologies. The platform is designed to be used without any technical background, so that a client can access customer insights and advanced big data intelligence within seconds without any training.

Das is in the MIT 35 under 35 shortlist, is a TEDx speaker and is an ambassador for Innovate UK’s Women In Innovation programme. She volunteers with numerous charitable organisations and has been selected to be a diplomatic representative at UK-Brazil/Canada/USA trade delegations.

Cobus Bothma joined Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) in 2008 and became a director in 2018.

Trained as an industrial designer with over 25 years of experience in architectural and

product design, Cobus is involved in many aspects of advanced design, visualisation, and

geometry at KPF. He is also the applied research director overseeing KPF global offices.

Cobus is active in numerous projects and competitions, adopting a highly visual and

pragmatic approach to design and geometry challenges. Through the KPF Applied Research

Group, he applies computational, cognitive, and visual design workflows to enhance the

process of design and design review both internally as well as for their clients.

Angela Maurer leads the Innovation team at Landsec which is a small multi-disciplinary team with a big mission “to bring the future forward”. She joined Landsec in September last year from Tesco where she led Tesco Labs - the technology research & development team for Tesco that explores how new technologies could generate new ideas or opportunities for customers and colleagues.

Previous roles have included Head of online experience for the Tesco grocery home shopping service where she launched the company’s first mobile eCommerce apps.

She joined the Tesco graduate programme in 2000 having completed a degree in Computer Science.

Bronny is a seasoned operator across commercial property with more than a decade’s experience working in Commercial Real Estate and Proptech.

As Regional Head of Equiem Europe, Bronny has led the firm’s UK and Ireland team since its inception in 2017, having headed up Client Services and Onsite Staffing in Equiem’s Australian business for five years prior.

She spearheaded the company’s growth when she opened its first international office in the UK, overseeing the platform’s rollout across more than 34 million sq ft of prime commercial space and helping grow platform registrations across the region to more than 50,000+ users.

Bronny is passionate about leveraging technology to enhance the customer experience and has a track record of helping landlords to execute a customer engagement strategy and gain a deeper understanding of their occupier drivers, resulting in greater tenant retention and attraction.

In addition to her work at Equiem, Bronny co-founded the UK chapter of Women in Proptech association in the UK, the leading global organisation for women in proptech which is dedicated to promoting thought leadership, tackling diversity issues, and connecting brilliant individuals working in the sector globally.

John provides strategic advice to TMT portfolios and specialised advice in

telecommunications strategy, network roll-out and estate management. As a skilled

international real estate manager, John has extensive experience in the development and

implementation of real estate solutions at both a local and international level.

Steven joined HB Reavis UK in April 2017 as Transactions Director, assuming responsibility for acquisitions, leasing, financing, asset management, and marketing. In August 2018, Steven was appointed UK Chief Executive, overseeing ambitious plans for growth across the UK market, as well as delivery of the current UK portfolio. This includes the major redevelopment of Elizabeth House in Waterloo and over-site development at Farringdon West Crossrail station in the heart of Clerkenwell. Prior to joining HB Reavis, Steven was head of BNP Paribas Real Estate’s West End and Midtown office.

Steven holds a 1st class degree in Commercial Real Estate and has been included on numerous industry awards such as Estates Gazette’s Young Property Person of the Year, Property Week’s Most Influential Property People Under 40, CoreNet’s annual insight award, the RICS Development Surveyors’ Award and most recently named in OnOffice: The Power List 2019 Top 50 Movers and Shakers in commercial real estate.

Simon is a director of LOM architecture and design. He has over 30 years of professional experience in the design and implementation of commercial architectural developments, interior design projects and workplace environments in the UK and Middle East. He has led major architectural and interior workplace and retail banking design projects for Tesco, RocketSpace, dunnhumby, Bank of America and RBS. Simon has a high level of strategic, conceptual and technical expertise and his projects have won BCO, BIFM and WAF awards and nominations for his work.
