Adrian has 15 years’ experience in real estate fund management, having acquired, developed and managed over £1 billion of real estate across traditional commercial, alternative and social strategies including the acquisition, development and management of over 1,250 affordable homes. Before joining Atrato, Adrian was the fund manager of Funding Affordable Homes at Edmond de Rothschild, Head of Social Real Estate at Alpha Real Capital and deployed Henley’s £410 million specialised supported housing fund. Adrian has also held Fund Manager roles at AXA IM Alts and research and strategy roles at both AXA IM Alts and Savills IM.

Cedric Bucher is the Chief Executive Officer of Hearthstone Investments Ltd. He was with Architas from 2011-2017, and previously held senior strategic and commercial positions with Barclays Wealth, SEI and Cardano. Cedric has a proven track record in the UK investment management industry, with responsibilities including Strategy, Business Development, P&L, Sales, Marketing and Product Development. Born and educated in Switzerland, Cedric spent the first part of his career with McKinsey&Co. in Zurich and London. He holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School and is a CFA Charterholder.

Cath joined in January 2023 to lead on increasing funds under management alongside the delivery of social impact, augmenting the existing fund management platform across high-quality affordable housing, private-rented residential and urban regeneration strategies. She was previously Executive Director for Strategy and Investment at property development and investment specialist Quintain. Cath has 30 years of real estate experience across private equity, fund management and investment banking. She has an MBA from INSEAD and is a Member of the BPF’s Affordable Housing Committee, a Member of the RICS and Co-Chair for the Creative Land Trust.

With over two decades of experience in sales and client advisory, Shaun Grainger brings deep expertise in residential development and strategic real estate solutions. His career spans the Banking and Insurance sectors, where he has specialised in supporting Real Estate clients and advisors. Shaun co-leads the Residential Real Estate Team at Willis currently, focusing on Build to Rent, Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), and Integrated Retirement Community portfolios, covering everything from construction and development to long-term property insurance.

I advised on over £350m of forward funding transactions, managed stock transfer disposals and acquisitions totalling over £200m and advised Inland Homes on the corporate sale of Rosewood Housing in Q1 24, its wholly owned For-Profit Registered Provider. This was the first time an FP-RP had been sold by an advisor.

With over 30 years’ experience in regeneration and affordable housing sector, Barbara is delivering new shared ownership and affordable rented homes through Square Roots, a wholly owned subsidiary of London Square.

Niki Kyriacou is Sector Lead at NHBC, where she oversees client engagement and activity within the Build to Rent (BTR) market. With over 20 years’ experience in property and communications, she brings a thoughtful and strategic approach to relationship management and business development. Her work includes leading initiatives such as BTR Innovators that reflect NHBC’s commitment to sector excellence and collaborative growth.

Prior to NHBC, Niki held senior roles at Property Week, where she specialised in partnerships, campaign strategy and event development. She played a key role in shaping flagship residential property events including RESI and the RESI Awards, and led initiatives such as RESI Trailblazers and Joint Victories, designed to spotlight emerging talent and successful public-private collaboration.

Niki also served on the board of the NSPCC, where she helped raise awareness and funds for Childline through industry events –demonstrating her belief in the power of property to positively impact communities.

As a mentor, Niki draws on her experience in leadership, communications and stakeholder engagement. She is passionate about supporting others in navigating career transitions, building confidence and developing a clear sense of purpose. Outside of work, she enjoys reformer pilates, reading, exploring Mediterranean cuisine – often inspired by her Greek-Cypriot heritage – and her role as a mum to two teenage sons.

He spent the first 15 years of his professional career in London, working as an architect for a range of

practices, including: founding the London studio of the Japanese practice Ushida Findlay; establishing

his own practice IDE-A and becoming the Design Intelligence Leader for the Woods Bagot European

Studio. He has worked on Residential, Workplace and Hospitality projects in the UK and globally in

Japan, China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Morocco, Croatia, Spain,

Portugal, Poland, Holland, Russia, Canada.

In 2013 he crossed into development, spending 5 years helping establish Pegasus Life as their Design

Director. As a start-up he created new products and approaches that challenged and reinvented the

retirement housing sector, which has been reflected in being nominated for 28 Housing Design Awards

and winning 10 for projects he led on there.

In 2018 he became the Creative Director for Igloo Regeneration, the UK’s leading responsible developer

where he applies design thinking into the property sector that goes beyond the traditional bricks and

mortar approach, using co-creation and place-based strategies to help create the kind places that

people can thrive in.

During the pandemic he co-founded Neighbourhood with Lou Dawson and Duncan Blackmore to

experiment with a different way of doing things – to see if, by approaching each project with curiosity

and free of the pressure to impose a predetermined model, they could change the way development

happens.

He was a founding rider, board member and trustee of Cycle to MIPIM, helping to raise over £4 million

for charity, particularly for the children’s charity Coram. He was a trustee of Coram’s Legal Centre from

2014 to 2017. He was an expert client for the UK Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2016. He was as

Design Council Expert on housing between 2021-2023.

Karen is a chartered architect with over 30 years of experience delivering housing-led projects

throughout London. With a career-long interest in residential development within the public

sector, she spent 12 years at Karakusevic Carson Architects specialising in local authority-led

social housing and estate regeneration. Before joining KCA she worked for 10 years at AHMM,

leading projects such as the award-wining Raines Court housing scheme for the Peabody Trust

which was based on the principles of prefabrication and off-site construction. In 2018 Karen was

appointed to the OPDC Design Review Panel, formed of nationally recognised practitioners who

will help shape the future transformation of Old Oak and Park Royal in London.

She recently moved client-side and currently works as Quality & Design Manager within TfL's

property development company Places for London, championing sustainability and design

excellence across residential and mixed-use project delivery. Karen is a member of the NLA

Expert Panel on Housing and a Future of London Mentor.

Matthew leads the development team at Dolphin Living, a charity providing affordable rental homes to working Londoners on modest incomes. The charity develops, purchases and manages build to rent properties in London and Matthew has overall responsibility for the delivery and growth of Dolphin’s intermediate rent pipeline. While Matthew’s career began in architecture, the majority of this professional life has been focused on the development of homes in the rental and affordable housing sectors.

Nawale has over 15 years of experience delivering complex project consultancy across refurbishment and new-build developments, with a particular expertise in multi-phase projects. She has worked extensively in the hospitality, residential and mixed-use sectors. Known for her hands-on approach to design and buildability, she fosters collaboration within project teams, ensuring seamless execution and the successful delivery of high-impact projects.

Ayna is registered architect in the UK and Russia. She brings a wealth of experience in design, planning, project management and implementation within the hospitality, residential and mixed use development sectors.

Ayna believes people’s lives can be made better through architecture. Her approach to architecture in thoughtful, considered and continuously ensures her design is not only aesthetically beautiful but functional and commercially successful. In her free time Ayna enjoys painting and sculpting.

Triya jointly heads up the Real Estate and Projects Team and has over 15 years of experience in the Social Housing sector, acting on a range of property matters. Triya’s particular specialism lies in complex development, joint ventures and large scale regeneration projects. Triya provides strategic advice to clients on the structuring of deals, the pre-planning stage, development and construction through to delivery. Her client base includes both for-profit and charitable Registered Providers, Built to Rent operators, investors, private developers and local authorities.
