Ailish Christian-West is responsible for managing Get Living’s £2B build-to-rent neighbourhood portfolio and current development pipeline of circa 6,000 homes, working with investors and development partners to drive investment performance and grow the Get Living UK portfolio, targeting 15,000 homes. She leads Get Living’s ESG agenda and supports industry collaboration on a broad range of issues, advocating for a sustainable real estate sector and recognition of social contribution.

In 2020, Christian-West chaired Revo, a national body representing the retail property industry during a particularly challenging time for the 30-year-old organisation due to the pandemic. She took up her current role leading Get Living’s portfolio during 2020, immediately getting to work on building a talented portfolio management team to deliver an ambitious portfolio growth strategy.

She initiated the creation of the Lab E20 at East Village, an exemplar of the future of retail in residential neighbourhoods, where residents and visitors can see and buy sustainable products being designed and created in the store. She has led on investment and operational strategies to enhance portfolio performance, which are already delivering results.

Christian-West has more than 20 years’ experience in UK real estate. Prior to Get Living, she spent 12 years at Landsec as an executive committee member responsible for portfolio management and operations. At Landsec, she led key strategic initiatives including the London suburban residential asset strategy, exiting secondary shopping centres and creating significant value through building a retail outlet portfolio. She spent 10 years in fund management running core-plus and opportunistic funds, including at LaSalle Investment Management, and she has served on the board of a technology startup fund.

Prior to joining Greystar in 2014, Mark was the Group Executive Commercial Director of Thames Valley Housing (TVH) where he was responsible for originating and managing the company’s joint venture vehicles. Nick Hirst is a Principal Director at architecture and design firm, tp bennett. From Build to Rent and

student housing to superprime apartments and high-density tall buildings, tp bennett is designing

innovative residential solutions for both end-users and developers.

Currently working with both leading developers and smaller independent specialists, Nick recently

led the development of residential and urban design standards for a Housing Association with a

national remit.

He is also working in Southwark, Lambeth and Wandsworth on a variety of residential projects

exploring new build to rent and co-living models. With experience in developing BTR in permitted

development and masterplan contexts, Nick also works across many other sectors including, health,

education, mixed-use, hospitality, heritage and conservation, all for a wide range of public and

private sector clients. He is a member of the Urban Design Group, the Chartered Institute of Housing

(CIH), and the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC).

Aleksandra (Sasha) Njagulj is the Managing Director, Global Head of ESG (environmental, social, and governance), Real Estate at DWS group. She is responsible for ESG integration across global real estate portfolios. Sasha is an accomplished ESG expert with over 20 years of practical experience in architectural design, design management and the sustainable built environment. In her previous role with CBRE Global Investors, she was Global Head of ESG with overall responsibility for developing and communicating global sustainability priorities and strategies across all business lines. Prior to this, Sasha was head of the Sustainability, R&D and Innovation department at Bouygues U.K.

Throughout her career, Sasha has built a reputation both professionally and personally for championing the cause of responsible real estate investment. She received the UK-based edie 2020 Sustainability Leaders Award for Investor of the Year for an ESG programme she designed and delivered for CBRE. In addition, Sasha was awarded the global 2020 GRESB/BREEAM Individual Leadership Award, recognising strong leadership and commitment in the field of sustainable development. In 2021, she won the global Future Proof Real Estate Woman award as a leader in applying digitalisation, technology, open innovation and sustainability to create a better built environment.

A qualified architect, Sasha holds a Master's degree in Architectural Design from the University of Belgrade; a Master's degree in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge. She is a BRE Academy fellow, sits on the INREV ESG Committee and ULI ESG Council, leads the IIGCC Real Estate Workstream and chairs the GRESB Foundation Real Estate Standards Committee.

Keith is the Residential Sector lead for Buro Four and has extensive experience working with tenants and investors to deliver great places to live.

He is passionate about working collaboratively with clients and teams to implement solutions that truly improve projects and communities and thrives on the complexity involved. Ioanna Paschalidou has 15 years of experience in real estate asset management across Europe and currently leads the firm’s Portfolio Management function as well as Henderson Park’s ESG efforts.

Before joining Henderson Park, Ioanna was a Principal at Blackstone in London, where she managed Blackstone’s German Portfolios and retail portfolios. Prior to Blackstone, Ioanna was a Senior Director in Development and Asset Management at Tishman Speyer in Frankfurt managing assets in Germany and Italy, and before that was the Portfolio Manager for Tishman Speyer’s pan-European value add fund based in London. Ioanna began her career as an Analyst at JP Morgan Asset Management in London.

Ioanna holds an MEng in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford, and an MSc in Construction Economics and Management from University College London. She is fluent in English, French and Greek, and is proficient in German.

Nick has over 25 years of professional experience in environmental management in both the private and public sectors. Nick joined Tide Construction and Vision Modular Systems to lead the ESG Team and build upon the company’s track record in delivering innovative solutions to provide smarter and greener construction. Prior to joining Tide and Vision, Nick was sustainability director at BNP Paribas Real Estate and previously held senior sustainability management positions at the University of Warwick and at WSP Environment and Energy. Dan Foryszewski heads up the Investor Solutions in EMEA who focus on agents and owners operating properties of all asset classes. He has a strong focus on the residential space and helps organizations of all kinds created tailored ecosystems covering leasing, property management, tenant engagement, accounting and BI. As the demographics and expectations of renters have shifted dramatically in recent times, Foryszewski's deep understanding of the market has been influential in shaping the strategic development of

MRI's resident engagement tools.

Dan Foryszewski helps property managers and agents utilise an ecosystem of products to create tailored solutions for their particular requirements across the end-to-end life cycle - from back office property management and accounting to resident engagement and community building.

Paul is a board partner at G&T has provided cost management and project management advice to developers, operators and investors across a wide variety of sectors for over 17 years. His extensive experience and understanding of construction methodology allows him to offer accurate early cost advice and proactively control cost through the design process.

Paul is part of G&T’s life and commercial science sector group and is involved in some of the most significant life science projects across London and the golden triangle.

James Hart is Asset Manager within the European Living & Hospitality team at

LaSalle. The team is responsible for the asset management of 19,000 beds across

the hotel, healthcare, student housing and residential sectors with a combined value

of £3 billion. James is focused on all multifamily strategies and is currently Asset

Manager for 2,000 BTR beds in the UK, the majority of which are operational and

stabilised, with one asset in development.

James’ previous work included positions at JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group, JLL and

Cushman & Wakefield. He began his real estate career in Paris in 2014 before

moving back to London in 2016.

James graduated from University of Durham with BA in Modern Languages, followed

by receiving his MSc in Real Estate from the University College of Estate

Management. He is a member of RICS.

As owner/founder of FleetMilne residential property agency, and having previously worked at other Birmingham residential agencies, my career has been residential throughout. I understand and excel at the residential agency sector, but I have been successful in creating a more sophisticated offering for the Build to Rent sector.

I am also incredibly active in my voluntary positions. I have been the Chair of Birmingham’s Colmore BID board since January 2020 and was Deputy Chair for 2 years prior. I led Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Planning Forum for 6 years to Referendum, and from 2013-2020, a member of the Hippodrome Development Board. I am a former Birmingham Young Professional of the Year award winner, IoD award winner and an active member of Birmingham's thriving professional community; my drive and influential status have had a substantial impact on Birmingham’s BTR development.

Valerie Cseplo-Jeffrey, CPM® serves as Operations Director of Built to Rent at Lendlease. Ms.

Cseplo-Jeffrey recently joined Lendlease in March 2022, after spending over 20 years in the

multifamily industry in the United States. She oversees the financial and physical operations of the

Living by Lendlease operating platform, including three assets in the Elephant Park area of central

London and an upcoming £1bn pipeline of rental communities throughout the UK.

Ms. Cseplo-Jeffrey brings with her wide-ranging knowledge and experience in the property

management industry, including asset management, business development, corporate operations

analysis and on-site property operations. She offers over 20 years of industry experience working

with industry leaders like Bozzuto and Greystar, with proven results in increasing asset value,

growing new business and staff development. A strong believer in industry involvement, before

leaving the United States Ms. Cseplo-Jeffrey served as a Director on the Board of the Maryland

Multifamily Housing Association (MMHA), an Executive Committee member of the Institute of Real

Estate Management Northern Virginia Chapter, and an active member of the Property Management

Association (PMA).

Ms. Cseplo-Jeffrey earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University

Carey Business School, and her Bachelor’s degree in English from University of Maryland, Baltimore

USA, Caribbean, Latin America and the United Arab

Emirates.

Dominic enjoyed a long and successful Marriott

International career for over 26 years. Most recently as

Market Vice President - UAE managing a large portfolio

of hotels across the Emirates. Previous roles include:

General Manager, JW Marriott Hotel Dubai; Head of

Sales (Asia Pacific) for Hilton Worldwide, based in

Singapore, heading up luxury and global sales and

distribution across the Asia Pacific region; Regional Vice

Lesley is the Chief Operating Officer of Telford Homes, a Trammell Crow Company Developer. In her role, Lesley is responsible for Telford Homes’ investment underwriting, Investment Committee processes and the implementation of business plans. The Investment, Development Management and Customer Services teams report directly to her. Lesley has over 26 years’ experience in real estate and is a well-established leader in the UK’s build to rent (BTR) market, having been heavily involved in some of the UK’s earliest purpose-built BTR projects, including East Village and Elephant Central during her time at Delancey. Lesley was previously the Head of Commercial Strategy for GoSpace AI Limited, where she oversaw strategic, go-to-market, client and operational initiatives along with investor and partner relationships. Prior to that, she was CIO of Seaforth Land leading the firm’s investment strategy, property acquisitions and financing.

Eliot is Managing Director at Puma Property Finance, with responsibility for originating, underwriting, executing and exiting first-charge development finance loans across the UK, as well as liaising with the boards of the entities whose funds the business manages. He also has responsibility for the fund management of the Puma VCTs, and sits on the Puma Capital Group board.

Eliot is a Qualified Solicitor and spent seven years practising at law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner). He joined Shore Capital Group in 2006 initially as Funds Counsel, before moving to a commercial

role on the investment side of its asset management business, primarily leading the investment team running the Puma VCTs. In 2012 Eliot helped establish Puma Investments, and has been an integral part of the creation, development, growth and continued success

of the business ever since.

Eliot is also on the Build-to-Rent steering committee of CREFC Europe (the trade association for the commercial real estate finance industry), having previously sat on the Association of Investment Companies VCT Board and been a

member the HM Treasury VC Schemes Advisory Group.

Dr. Hans-Peter Bauer is a Swiss citizen with over 25 years of experience in the Swiss

real estate industry. Together with his business partner Adrian Schenker, he

founded Swiss Finance & Property Group Ltd. (SFP) in Zurich in 2001. Furthermore,

he is a board member of the listed real estate company SF Urban Properties Ltd.

and acts as an advisor in various M&A and other large real estate transactions.

Meanwhile, SFP is one of the largest independent real estate asset managers in

Switzerland with CHF 8.5 billion assets under management and CHF 1.6 billion in

advisory. Hans-Peter led and developed SFP as CEO from inception until 2020.

Since then, he acts as Chairman of the Board of Directors with responsibility for

strategic decision-making and the development of the company’s international

expansion.

SFP opened its office in Frankfurt last year, has built up and took over the majority

of Viga, a real estate asset manager in Denmark / Copenhagen, and has started a

new subsidiary in UK / London with the first investment this year taking place in

Glasgow with the intention to build 300 apartments to rent (build to rent / BTR).

This investment engagement was carried out jointly in collaboration with Redevco –

the real estate expert company of the Brenninkmeijer family office.

Hans-Peter started his career in the banking sector, where he held several leading

positions in Zurich and London. He holds an PhD in mathematics from ETH Zurich

(Dr. sc. math.) and a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Basel

(lic. rer. pol.)

He is fluent in German, English, French and Italian. Hans-Peter lives in Zurich, is

married and has three adult sons.

Neil Slater is Global Head of Real Estate and Deputy Head of Private Markets at Aberdeen Standard Investments. He became the Chief Executive Officer & Representative Director of Aberdeen Standard Investments (Japan) Limited following the merger between Aberdeen Investment Management K.K. and Standard Life Investments (Japan) Limited in December 2017, prior to this Neil was the CEO of Standard Life Investments (Japan) Limited since 2015.

Neil joined Standard Life Investments in 2011, leading a multidisciplinary team responsible for product structuring, tax, legal and debt for SLI's real estate business, whilst supporting product financing across asset classes. Neil developed and fund managed SLI Real Estate's investor debt platform and had responsibility for circa GBP 600m of capital across mandates.

Previously, Neil spent over 6 years in Switzerland with Man Group where, as Head of Product Finance & Risk Transfer, he had responsibility for a multi-billion USD debt book in addition to leading the team structuring Man's equity derivative products & OTC derivatives, fund financing and custodial structures. Earlier, as a Senior Fund Structurer, he was responsible for the legal and commercial delivery of various alternative assets funds, structuring and delivering to market single and multi-strategy global and regional alternative asset products for the Asian, Middle Eastern and South American markets.

John is Commercial Director for the Commercial Real Estate team at Aldermore. He is responsible for developing new propositions and enhancing the customer journey to meet growing demand. John has 30 years’ experience in the industry having previously worked in a number of national roles at Bank of Scotland, CYBG and NAB.

Robert is the Fund Manager of the UK Private Rented Sector Fund and is also responsible for sourcing and delivering residential investment opportunities in the UK and Ireland for aPER, a pan-European residential fund. Robert sits on the AREF’s Residential Working and the British Property Federation Build to Rent London Engagement Group.

Robert has 21 years of experience, having joined abrdn in 2007, and has worked in the residential team since October 2016. Previously he was a Fund Manager for a Swedish corporate pension fund.

Robert graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Land Management from University of Reading. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).

Natalie is a Partner with a broad range of commercial property experience, specialising in development and property investment transactions for both the public and private sector. Natalie has particular expertise in relation to residential, PRS and student developments. Recent experience includes advising Grainger on a number of projects including the Yorkshire Post site in Leeds and their flagship scheme at Clippers Quay, acting for a developer on the acquisition and development of a 364 room student scheme in Swansea and the sale of 5 residential plots in Putney.

This extends to originating development opportunities through the architectural practice, parcelling sites and drawing up proposals that are rational and investable. ‘As an architect and master planner, I take most pride in the value that good design can add to people’s enjoyment of the places they live and work within and around. Good design aids cohesive social sustainability, pride and connection to place, promoting wellness and living sustainably. I have worked tirelessly to understand the nuances of commercial viability, to ensure that what we design is deliverable and provides key returns to investors whilst mutually allowing for the highest quality urban and rural environments. We as architects and master planners need to develop visions that can be stewarded, co-aligned with that of the investor, developer, operator and homeowner/renter. Whilst overseeing all major master planning projects in the practice, I tend to focus on the strategic realisation of the larger regeneration and placemaking projects. We need to feel proud of the places we create for the future generations.

Lee is a senior member of Oxford’s European Investment Team, working on the origination and execution of European equity and credit investments. Lee’s primary focus is on UK opportunities, most recently in the multi-family and single-family residential sector including Oxford’s investment in Get Living. Lee joined Oxford in 2013, originally in the Corporate Finance team, and previously led the sourcing of debt financing for all European investments as well as the formation of Oxford’s European credit investment strategy. Lee attended the University of Warwick and is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Lorcain Egan is Co-Head of Europe for Starwood. Mr. Egan is responsible for Starwood’s lending platform in Europe and Asia. Between 2013 and 2017 Mr. Egan structured and executed financings whilst working in Capital Markets, supporting Starwood’s equity acquisitions across Europe. Since 2018 Mr. Egan has led Starwood’s lending business in Europe and Asia.

Prior to joining Starwood Capital, Mr. Egan was a Vice President at Barclays Bank where he worked in their Structured Property, Debt Finance team. In this team, Mr. Egan focused on originating real estate debt opportunities for Barclays.

Mr. Egan holds a degree in Law & Economics from the University of Ulster.

James leads the sales and customer success organisations across the BuildData Group. With 20 years in sales and operations leadership, James’ collaborative style ensures the commercial function and go to market strategy continues to build customer traction and success. Prior to BuildData, he led sales at Createmaster, a BuildData Group brand in the UK, before its acquisition by the group.

Harvey Sandhu is a Vice President, Debt Origination at Starwood Capital Group. Harvey joined Starwood Capital in 2018 and focuses on transaction sourcing, underwriting, and structuring of commercial real estate debt across Europe across a range of sectors. Prior to joining Starwood Capital, Harvey worked within the CRE Lending group at Wells Fargo in London. Harvey holds a degree in Economics from the University of Birmingham.

He has significant experience in advising in complex Rights to Light matters acting for developers, purchasers and funders.

For Landlords – Jeremy has worked for landlords all his career and is well versed in dealing with all kinds of asset management related issues from rent arrears, rent review, service charge disputes and consultations.

For Occupiers – Jeremy works for a number of well-known retailers assisting them with their property portfolio management including all aspects of the lease renewal process.

Insolvent Real Estate – Jeremy has an ongoing passion for work in the insolvent real estate space and has acted for banks, Receivers, administrators, liquidators and landlords in all aspects of insolvent real estate.

Jack founded Billing Better in 2016 having experienced two challenging scenarios managing his utility bills as he rented for the first time, resulting in his bills not being paid correctly. This led to the idea to build Billing Better, with the view of helping renters to manage their finances in the best possible way.

From these experiences, the concept of a single bill to manage all household finances was born. This then led to the emergence of supporting landlords, letting agents and BTR operators to deal with utility bills during void periods.

To date, Billing Better has helped over 100,000 home movers to set up their bills and work with over 750 operators within the property industry.

Andy is Chief Revenue Officer at Valos, helping to streamline the valuation of real estate. Andy is an experienced and passionate leader who has over 15 years working in online PropTech solutions. Prior to his current role, Andy was the CRO at fu3e and prior to that was Director and Head of UK Sales at CoStar Group, which saw him responsible for driving revenue growth, client retention and service across the company’s UK business over a sustained period of growth. Alongside growing CoStar’s market-leading data business, Andy also played a leading role in the launch of Realla, the UK’s leading online marketplace for commercial listings, now branded as LoopNet.

Alastair joined CWG in 2018, to establish the group’s Build-to-Rent platform, Vertus. He currently oversees Vertus’s day-to day activities, the groups residential leasehold management arm, Canary Wharf Residential Management Limited, and the groups Technology & Transformation function.

Prior to this he spent nine years with Hamptons International & Countrywide Group based in London and Hong Kong. In his final role at Countrywide as National Director of Corporate PRS & BTR, he oversaw the successful delivery of the group’s operational management platform which included the delivery of The Cargo Building, Liverpool and Pomona Wharf, Manchester.

Ashley Perry has over 10 years of experience in real estate consultancy, across UK, Ireland, Spain and Canada. Before joining Apache Capital, Ashley worked for European BTR Consultancy, LIV Consult, since 2018.

Ashley held the position of Director, BTR Consultancy (UK) at LIV Consult with responsibility for consultancy services to clients in Europe with a client base including Private Equity, Local Authorities, and both Public and Private Developers. Ashley’s experience across both single and multifamily strategies helped to secure planning, funding and public support for thousands of rental homes across Europe. Prior to LIV Consult, Ashley worked at JLL in its Project and Development services team where he achieved RICS Chartered status as well as leading multi-disciplinary teams through complex and challenging projects. Ashley is also on the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Residential Council steering committee.

Jermaine is a co-founder of the Re:shape Living Group, an alternative living sector developer and operator in the UK. Jermaine is responsible for Joint Ventures, planning and development activities, product design and execution, and ESG. Jermaine has worked in Real Estate for over 15 years and is recognised as one of the UK’s leading alternative living experts, having co-designed and secured planning permission for 10 co-living buildings, PBSA and hotels worth more than £800 million GDV across London and Dublin since 2018. Jermaine is also the founder and chair of the Second-Generation Shared Living Consortium (SGSLC), an industry body which exists to progress shared living policy across the UK.

Tom joined Argent in 2012, becoming Partner and the Head of Residential for Related Argent in 2020, over-seeing a pipeline of over 8,000 new homes across London. Tom is also CEO of the Related Argent Tottenham Hale development, leading the team which will deliver over 1.2m sq. ft of development including over 1,030 new homes. Prior to this, Tom was responsible for the residential product at the King’s Cross development including the delivery of the Gasholders apartments.

Before joining Argent, Tom worked in project management consultancy and as a practicing Architect on numerous large-scale mixed-use schemes including the Shard and the London 2012 Athlete’s Village. Tom is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and sits on their Housing Group.

Marcus heads up the Living platform at Firethorn, where he is driving forward growth opportunities in the PBSA and wider living sector.

With over a decade’s experience working at blue chip companies across acquisitions, development and capital advisory, Marcus has amassed considerable expertise in taking student living assets through the entire property life cycle. From successfully leading land and site acquisitions, to overseeing the planning, design and construction of high-value developments, Marcus has an impressive track record in both deal origination and delivering significant added value.

Before joining Firethorn, Marcus was Acquisition & Development Director at Unite Group Plc. He previously worked at CBRE within the student accommodation teams.

Anne is the CEO of Telford Homes, a Trammell Crow Company Developer. In this role, Anne is

responsible for developing the firm’s overall strategy, the day-to-day operational performance, risk

management, stakeholder relationships and all other long-term business planning. She chairs the

Telford Homes Executive Committee and sits on the Board of Directors. Anne previously served as

Board Director and Chief Investment Officer at PATRIZIA, a Germany-based global real assets

investment manager. Under her leadership, PATRIZIA grew to manage more than €55 billion in real

estate assets. She also oversaw key acquisitions and all investment activities for the firm, including

PATRIZIA’s key fund management strategies. Prior to joining PATRIZIA in 2017, she held leadership

roles at AXA Real Assets, Lazard, Cambridge Place Investment Management and JLL.

She was previously the Director of Private Rent (Folio London) and Student Lets at the Notting Hill Housing Trust where she was leading three multi-disciplinary teams with over 2,000 properties and an operational budget of £25 million.

Sowgol is also a member of UKAA, IRPM, CREW UK Mentorship, Way of Life’s ESG Committee and Chairman of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for the group.

James Saunders was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Quintain in October 2019 and since then

has led the company through the Pandemic, during which Quintain achieved the biggest

construction completion year in its 30-year history.

Starting with just 141 apartments for rent in 2016, James has led the team to reach 3,651 homes

under management, noting the 2022 year-end occupancy across the entire rental portfolio sat at

over 98%. Since then, Quintain’s tenth build to rent development has opened at Wembley Park.

James was previously Chief Operating Officer of Quintain and has been a main board director since

2017. As Chief Operating Officer, James led the place-making and estate management at Wembley

Park, commercial partnerships, group marketing, IT and health and safety.

During his time at Quintain, James has led the repositioning of Wembley Park from an event

destination to an exciting new neighbourhood for London. He has created the strategic direction for

marketing, communications and place making that has led to dramatic reconsideration of the area,

increase in footfall, improvements in press coverage and word-of-mouth, plus new partnerships

including with Boxpark, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Troubadour Theatres and Second Floor

Studios.

He has managed key stakeholder and commercial partner relationships with GLA, London Borough

of Brent, Wembley Stadium, the FA, AEG and Realm. He was responsible for the renegotiation of

agreements with adjacent landowners that unlocked the Wembley Park site from a development

and operational perspective.

Prior to joining Quintain, James was the Chief Marketing Officer at The Cloud Networks, a consultant

to Vodafone Europe and Brand Director at Coca-Cola Great Britain. He holds a Sloan Masters from

London Business School, a Law Degree from Cambridge University and is a barrister-at-law.
